Jonathan Constant I found Momentum Fitness after leaving Equinox and searching for a nice studio where I could practice my yoga and this place was PERFECT! I tried Stephanie’s Wednesday evening class and it was small, only 6 people, and very personalized. The lockers and showers are immaculately cleaned and stocked with soaps, shampoo, and plenty of clean fluffy towels. So glad to have finally cut off the expensive membership gym for something more intimate and welcoming!
I came upon Momentum Fitness through ClassPass. I took a few kettlebell and bodyweight classes there and absolutely loved the private space and attention to detail that all the trainers placed on each person so I signed up for some personal training with Grace Kavadlo. In the past couple of weeks I have seen my body transform into a much stronger and leaner version of my old self. My usual aches and pains are completely gone and I am even flexible enough to touch my toes now! Grace and the rest of the team at Momentum Fitness are THE BEST and I am looking forward what a few more weeks of training here will do to me!!!
I was looking to get into kettlebell training and found Marco through the DragonDoor site. I'd worked with a trainer before and did some kettlebell work so I thought I had a basic knowledge of how to use them but Marco quickly picked up on some small mistakes I was making that greatly affected my overall performance, With some hard work and excellent training from Marco, I was able to master the KB and in the process have built a strong and lean physique. I highly recommend Marco for anybody looking to learn how to use kettlebells or improve their form. He is a very patient and dedicated trainer who really dedicates himself to helping people achieve their goals. His private training studio is very clean and he has all the equipment you can think of to guarantee you get the best results possible.
Grace Kavadlo has been my trainer for about a year! She has a wide array of skills - from yoga inversions to kettlebell presses. She has led me thru my goals and beyond! Specifically, with headstands and handstands. I started off with lots of mental fear & some lack of strength to get myself up into a proper headstand. Now, I have some serious headstand & crow skills- next stop is the freestanding handstand!
People deserve to know the greatness of Marco! Marco is a phenomenal trainer &awesome person. I trained with Marco for about two months & never felt healthier or more confident than when I was following his plan. Marco works you hard & encourages clean eating. IT WORKS. I lost weight, toned muscle &am stronger than I can ever remember being. If I hadn't moved to a new city, I would keep training with him for as long as possible. There aren't enough good things to say. Marco is truly invested in your personal success. On days you don't meet, a text message reminder to make healthy choices will encourage you to stay on track. You set goals together and work hard to reach them. This isn't just some one-size-fits-all program... He will learn your limits and strengths as you train and push you as hard as he knows YOU can go. He does it all with a smile & energy that make you want to push through that one last rep to make him proud. He switches up your routine constantly so you never get bored or tired of the same old thing. He's also a genuinely good person & cares about his athletes. You won't be just another client passing through. I could go on & on about how amazing he is, but long story short: If you want to train with a genuinely awesome person who is invested in reaching your personal goals, train with Marco. You WILL get results & you will NOT regret it.

I left Equinox after the whole fundraising scandal and was fortunate enough to find Momentum Fitness. The gym is beautiful and clean and the space is open and inviting. The trainers are excellent and I can't wait to try their Yoga and Pilates classes. Best part is I'm no longer tied down with any expensive membership fees or contracts. This is truly NYC's best kept secret!!!
This Place is awesome. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely clean. I took Angela Cheng’s the SHRED class and I love it!!! I have to say she is a very motivated and fun trainer. She always encourages and pushes you to the best. She is also very resourceful and knows her training very well. Her class definitely helped me to achieve my fitness goals. It is amazing how she constructs her classes with various fun workout routines. Thanks to Angela Cheng, I not only look great, but feel amazing. It is definitely well worth it!!
I live in the Boston area but travel for work and find myself in NYC at least twice a month - often for days at a time. Momentum Fitness has become my "gym away from home" due to the outstanding staff (including Marco) and the modern, clean facilities. More than a just a simple gym, Momentum is a fitness/lifestyle experience.

Momentum Fitness is a boutique fitness studio, with a physical therapy office in the back. Very clean, good lighting, and knowledgeable fitness staff. The trainers know what they are doing, and see this as a career . . not just a side job or passing job while they make it through to another career. They all take fitness seriously, and make sure clients are maintaining proper form and using the correct technique while lifting weights. I'm a female in my early 40s, and was previously taking spin, barre and the occasional boot camp class. I've now shifted to running outside, still taking spin, but really focusing on strength training, with a goal to do at least 5 unassisted pull ups by the end of the year. I take the "Sandbags and Kettlebells" class, and train with a personal trainer once a week. I was hesitant to invest in personal training in the past, but I've shifted my mindset to invest in my health. I feel stronger and stronger every day, which also helps my emotional health. Thank you to Momentum Fitness!!!
Got a free workout when visiting family up north. Loved the atmosphere and definitely would visit again!
I have attended the first training session and also many of the LeBarre classes and I have had a great experience with the instructors. The instructors give a lot of advice and insight on form and exercise. They have very outgoing and welcoming personalities and I always enjoy the workouts. I have attended LeBarre classes in the past and none have been satisfying due to their slow pace. However, at Momentum, the LeBarre class is upbeat as well as challenging and made me want to return!
