As you know, we don't usually bother to give tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Gym is included in the category of Gym.
Best gym Ive ever been. Amazing staff, best instructors & friendly people w good vibe
Soo much more than a gym. Great variety of classes and sports opportunity. The space is amazing.
Great place for fitness!
I work on 2 yachts that leave out of the piers and I've been working there for years, yesterday my coworker told me to pick up lunch at Fresh & Co so when I got upstairs I was given a dirty look i guess because I was in my maintenance clothes and was told I wasn't a member of the gym. Front desk needs to learn how to communicate with people. I definitely wont be supporting this business as well as my friends wont be.
Been going to Chelsea Piers Fitness for a month now. The staff is really nice and friendly. Great equipment and the location is fantastic. I look forward to going here all the time and it also helps that I live only a block away.
Great gym! Feels like an Oasis in Manhattan! Friendly, knowledgeable instructors!
horrible service shout out adam saleh
Great center with something for everyone. Great views outside also.
It’s either because of the wide lanes, the clean water or the glorious views of the Hudson, but this is the best lap pool in NYC. $50 day pass for non-members.
Just joined a few weeks ago and I am very happy with the place. The instructors are fantastic. Love getting my workout here.
I like that we have everything all under one roof - from Master swim team to rock climbing. What can be improved is the following:I was excited to hear that we were getting HOT YOGA, which meant I no longer needed to go elsewhere for that - adding yet the last piece at the Chelsea location. Unfortunately, the room is not what it needs to be for HOT YOGA, it is TOO DRY. Hot Yoga rooms need to have moisture to assist the muscles in the various yoga poses. I gave it one more attempt this past Friday - It is so dry that I tried spraying my yoga mat with water as well as myself, but it and I dried up instantly. Please fix this, it's a big miss :(
Good facilities. Modern and clean
Best gym in the city - you just have to get there. I have spent the past six months trekking by public transportation motorcycle and bicycle - and I really like the gym. I wish it was a bit closer to work - but I knew that going in. No regrets!
My favorite place after long day or before doesn’t matter lol,, amazing stuff and this only one gym in city that makes you actually come and workout
I belonged to Chelsea Piers for one summer during triathlon training. The facility itself is amazing and the classes were excellent, especially the spin classes which overlook the Hudson River. It always feels slightly empty (which is nice) because of how big it is. The pool is beautiful and the pool deck that is outside is the perfect place to relax after a good swim or workout. The showers and locker rooms are impeccably clean and well-stocked with anything you could need. The biggest downfall of this place is that it is so expensive and inconveniently located. Even the closest train is still three avenues away from it. If you have a car or live way on the west side and can afford this gym, it may be for you.
(Translated by Google) Great place to train in New York City. Gym complete with all machines. The pool is great. With incredible views of the Hudson River. Changers and bathroom in the best conditions. Splendid place to socialize and train you see. Care staff and coaches the best !.
BEST GYM ON HEARTH ! The place is great, clean and has EVERYTHING someone can think of. Great classes - the deck is amazing and mostly it is a real gym where people come to train and has also a spa vs a spa where you can train.
This place has mad squabbles,cuz
I like this gym. Good trainer, nice membership person Cathryn, the machines have all been working when I've been there, they seem to keep everything clean and it's location is easy for me. Free parking is also nice.
So much better than Equinox. Incredible instructors, very helpful and courteous/chill staff. The facilities are beyond incredible. Love the newly renovated lounge/work area. Fresh & Co inside, which is really nice because there are incredible organic and healthy options at great prices, but this location is inside the gym and exclusive to members and therefore has more product available (I find that other locations in the city tend to run out of my favorite items quickly) Great swimming pool, spinning, hot yoga room, etc. Rock climbing wall is beyond amazing. Sundeck is unbelievable. A bunch of other stuff I didn't use but are awesome too. Literally anything you could ever wish for -- all in one place. Their response times and feedback systems are especially amazing. Chelsea Piers Fitness may be the most underrated luxury yet. I just really love this gym. SO glad I switched.
Had a great marching band rehearsal on the indoor field here. The bathrooms are really, really nice (as was everything else). Plenty of space for all things sports.
Very nice, but expensive to park
Amazing customer service: everybody I've had contact with so far has been friendly and helpful. Good follow-through. People that want to see you engaged at the facility. The facility itself is great, of course and I've told anyone I know that if they can afford it thy should check it out, that it's changed my approach to working out. Airy, gorgeous, huge place with inspiring views-no dungeon like most Manhattan gyms here. They also keep it immaculate at all times and the cleaning ladies in the locker room are extremely sweet and personable. Antoinette is the person who's helped me the most so far and the main reason I'm even there, as she tried to get me in without being pushy about it. You feel like you belong to a country club without the attitude.
It is nice
Best gym in NYC! Member since 1996.
It’s thw best gym in the country
Best gym in the country
Great place to do workout and I like the ambiance of this gym, gives me the urge to be more fit.
The BEST gym in New York - BY FAR
Chelsea Piers is hands down, the most inspiring place to workout - in cramped Manhattan, you breathe different air over here!
I thought this gym was great after being a member for so long. However, I tried to book a massage and was told that the credit I received upon joining is no longer there. And so far they have refused to honor the credit even after multiple times of contacting them. I really have not encountered a business that does not honor credit granted to clients. I am very disappointed, and really can’t recommend a place of false promises.
It a cool place and it really helps me train for the u.s army special forces
This is hands down one of the best gyms I ever joined! Great service, atmosphere and equipment!
A great gym containing basketball courts, 200m banked track, 400m track (shared with the 200m track but continues around the gym), a 6 lane 25 yard swimming pool, a rock climbing wall, powerlifting equiment, cardio, two large studio classrooms, one spin studio, juice / food bar, sauna, hot tub, and outdoor patio. There is alot going on at chelsea piers! I primarily use the gym for the pool, which I have found to be the best (in my limited experience) in nyc. The 6 lanes are enough to hold everyone who wants to swim even if there is a masters swim class. They provide pull buoys and boards and some other random toys for everyone to use. There is a hot tub nearby as well. The pool is located in a massive room with high ceilings and large windows to let plenty of light in. The locker rooms provide all essentials plus some extras such as razors, combs, and mouthwash. The locker room aesthetic was not as impressive as Equinox's but it functioned all the same. The biggest downside to the gym is the location.
My favorite gym in the whole world.
The best just simply the best!!
This is a wonderful gym; I have been an active member for over 15 years and highly recommend it to anyone who likes to work out while enjoying breathtaking views of the Hudson or the West side!
Best gym in NYC!!! I only wish I would stop injuring myself so I can get my money's worth.
It's large and very well equiped. I have been a member for over a year and love it. And the gym has countless amenities and other great features, like its sundeck. Sure it has some of the usual messy meatheads, but every place in NYC does.
By far the best gym in Manhattan. Spacious, luxurious and has everything you want in a gym and more. Swimming pool, sundeck, spacious weight training, indoor track, basketball, boxing, rock climbing, spa, volleyball and an endless list of classes available free to all members; it even has food and sushi available. Staff is well trained and helpful. Locker room is spacious and clean; it also has two saunas and showers. Highly recommend you join this gym as well. The gym members are diverse, friendly and helpful as well.
Great place for sports, family fun, games with friends and rival teams. Although expensive, they have everything from soccer and rock climbing to gymnastics and basketball. My favority part is the shooting range when you get to shoot gold balls into the Hudson River (restricted by the net, of course) while enjoying beautiful views overlooking the river. And don't forget to check out a restaurant / bar on premises that has its own brewery.
Perpetual energy: my first impression about this gym. I knew Chelsea Piers Fitness was my calling, solely based on my intuition gathered from such a positive environment. Amy, a member consultant at CPF, was the woman who provided me with a well-guided and beautifully narrated orientation; I felt like I was in a movie. From recreational athletes to world class competitors, I have noticed that each individual, from direct or indirect experience and observation, acquires some form of latent inspiration to become motivated to push themselves to their best capabilities. I love the uniqueness and diversity of the staff, management, and trainers. These ingredients engender a creative, productive, and most importantly, a happy workplace. I am so grateful and proud that the professionals at CPF are an epitome of the balance between competition and compassion. This type of chemistry is what keeps me coming back to CPF to train for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Keep it up guys! I am excited to see where you guys end up 5 years in the future!
Nothing in NYC even come close to Chelsea Piers, this gym simply has everything: it's clean, it's never crowded, it has an indoor track, a boxing ring, a climbing gym, a sand volleyball court, several basketball courts, a swimming pool, an unbeatable view, and I could go on and on and on. But above all it's an oasis in the concrete jungle that's New York, a place to get recharged, relaxed and become a better, faster, stronger version of yourself.
It's an amazing gym but in a terrible location.
Now wait for equipment.Discounted parking very clean.
Amazing facility - truely has everything you need to workout! Clean with friendly staff and delicious food
Best gym in NYC period. Great and engaging trainers teaching you a lot, service is always great, and gym goers are very social. Sundeck has fantastic views, sauna is good, pool is great, indoor track is on point and there are always classes that fit every style.
This place is really really really awesome. If you are an active person (even if you are not), you'll find this place like a wonderland, so many things to do, surrounded by so many great people and great views. The facility is always clean and the staff is awesome. It's just a great place to transform yourself into anything you want. They even have equipments for you to become the Hulk. Another thing I love about Chelsea Piers fitness is the free classes, a lot of them, really awesome way to train with a group and push yourself. I highly recommend you give this place a try.
The best gym I have ever been to. Has absolutely everything you need.
Great Gym!
Went there for a lunch-time swim while on a work trip to NY. The pool itself is ok (pretty shallow, heavily chlorinated) but the location is great (views from the sundeck!) and the facility is modern and clean. I paid $50 for a day pass.
The best gym in the city - you just have to get there. I have spent the past six months trekking by public transportation motorcycle and bicycle - and I really like the gym. I wish it was a bit closer to work - but I knew that going in. No regrets!
Really like this place, I usually don’t like gym but this is like a club
Love Chelsea Piers. I can practice golf at the driving range, swing a bat at the batting cage and even enjoy bowling with friends!
If location wise it’s convenient for you, I don’t think you could get a better value for you money out of a gym in NYC than Chelsea Piers. This place is massive and has facilities like I didn’t think existed in the city. The staff and instructors are very friendly and the locker rooms are clean. This place is obviously very well maintained. I can’t recommend CPF enough.
Great gym with incredible facilities. If you’re there more than twice a week you’ll notice celebrity athletes like Colin Kaepernick.
Music is so loud that even with noise canceling headphones I have a hard time hearing my own music.
Hands Down the best gym in NYC!!
This is a business that does right by me. The customer service is 5 star! The facility is amazing, the classes are tough, but the instructors really pay attention to your form. I just realized that I cannot jump rope for my chisel class, but she kept encouraging me to take it slow and I'll get the hang of it (I felt super slow, yet she was encouraging). This place is not too shabby: from the front desk, to the fresh juices in the food lounge area, the spa, the locker room and the sun deck. There are great basketball courts, a climbing wall, an indoor track, indoor pool and I could go on and on. Go here and focus on your physical well being. You'll not be disappointed.
Thx Gahd for this gym! especially in winter.
This gym is phenomenal...got a free tour and will be joining soon. Great staff and friendly...highly recommend this gym.
Best gym in the city.
Need more free give away events or temporary homeless sheltering
We've been living in New York City for the last two decades and have always been drawn to Chelsea Piers for this and that (say, disco bowling). But when we had kids the stakes (on fun) were raised and Chelsea Piers has provided lots and lots of opportunities for just that--birthday parties, gymnastics classes, skate park, you name it---and we'll be happily hitting events and activities there ad infinitum!!!
Blew our minds! there is so much to with our $50 one day pass. We played basketball, volleyball, rock climbing, batting cage, golfing, and its close by to me. there is a real sense of community and the other members are friendly and the staff is awesome!
The facilities here are high quality, no doubt about it. This place pretty much has everything sports-related that you can think of that's NY-appropriate. The location is a bit out of the way, and the bathroom amenities could be of higher quality, but overall a good place to work out.
Biggest and best gym in NYC. On the more expensive side but for what it has in the gym it is worth every penny. I am a very active person and it is clean, has a great food selection, is spacious, and great in every way. I haven't been to a better gym in my life
Outstanding gym facility
Love coming here and doing my daily needs of working out. The staff member is very helpful and also provides daily facts how to keep your body active and healthy.
Loved the golfing range there. Great stuff. Visiting for the first time.
Large and extensive facility. However, the air quality is quite poor-- the AC units do not all work so there are pockets of hot or stale air, coupled with open windows. Some of the weigh equipment is very dated and or rusty.
Member since 1997. The Sports Center is more than a gym. It's an experience.
They've just expanded the upstairs and put in a bunch more equipment - barbell racks; a fancy new cable cross machine; lots of new kettlebells and dumbbells; medicine balls. Way more space. I'm so impressed!
I've worked all over the world and been to many gyms. This is hands down the best gym I have ever gone to. A buddy from Brazil who was with me the last time I went agreed.
Love the terrace and the view, but showers should be cleaned better. Still my favourite gym
The gym is absolutely perfect. Clean facilities, great staff, great food items and location away from the busy area of Midtown. Love everything about the gym.
One of the best Fitness Facilities in NY. You will spend endless hours at this place. You'll find everything you need to work out, relax, fuel or simply take in the view from their Sundeck.
It has everything I need. It's becoming a bit too automatic and digital. I'm not their target demographic anymore
