So far I like this gym. The staff is friendly and helpful. I google it and look at the "Popular times" graphic to avoid going at the super-busy times, but if you can only workout in the evenings from 5-9 and hate crowds, this might not be the gym for you. I do wish they had round weights; it seems like I can never find collars for the bars either, which isn't a big deal for me but I'd like to have that extra safety for my teenager who is just starting out lifting. The women's gym is a nice feature, however it doesn't have a squat rack or any barbell equipment which stinks for those of us women who like to lift heavy or do any serious compound exercises. I really like the theater-style cardio room where they show movies, that's a cool feature. Locker rooms are clean, lots of nice features like a sauna and hair dryers. Overall, I like it so far and will be sticking around. UPDATE: Very happy with this gym overall! I am tough to please and prefer old-school Gold's gym type atomosphere, but I've been won over. Can't beat the value for the price.

Love the steps machine and overall it’s great a lot of options

Imani Wins

I love this gym! The theater room is the main seller and the women's gym for privacy. Oh I can't forget the smoothie bar- I was waiting for a gym to get one. This gym has everything you can ask for including a sauna. Great pricing too ranges from $10- $30 a month.

Holly Gismonde

Beautiful building but crowded from 10-9 and too hard to get on any equipment. It’s noisy and awful music! People sit on machines on their phone and don’t move for up to 15 min sometimes. Uninspiring trendy equipment and turf area. Staff is super friendly but not when you need help. They are very into their clique. Difficult to cancel membership with a move.

Great gym for kids not for me.

Great gym! Great shakes! Good music, classes are fabulous! Cherry Hill Location is convenient for me. The person working the desk ‘Mike’ was super knowledgeable and friendly! :)

Thelma

Great Zumba Classes on Mondays @930 AM, Darlene, her classes are easy to follow and fun. Darlene go out her way to make sure every member has. Her routine are simple and fun. Great job Darlene. Ciara does a great job on Sunday mornings @8:30 AM, her classes are challenging and fun!! I wish there was a class I could take after 5:30 PM

Seven months ago, I started at Edge Cherry Hill, reluctantly. My girlfriend got me signed up to train with Brandon Green, and I agreed to keep showing up as a exercise in discipline moreso than a drive and desire to be fit or lose weight or to be healthier. Seven months ago, I was 260+ pounds, at 42.5% body fat. I had poor posture, I couldn't run, and my diet was terrible. All my girlfriend asked Brandon when we started working together was "Please don't let him quit." Today, I'm 172 pounds at 14% body fat, , and this weekend I just finished my first TWO Spartan races on back-to-back days. (8 mile 'Super' and 5K 'Sprint', in Jacksonville FL.) We ran the the first race as a team, 'Spartan "Edge" Strong'.... 8 people deep including the cheerleaders that came with us to cheer and support. I LOVE the support I got from my trainer, and Edge Cherry Hill and my fellow gymmates who came to run with me and cheer for us. I couldn't have done this without my Edge family, and you crossed the finish line with us this weekend.... Next- it's time to train for the 13+ mile BEAST to finish our Spartan Trifecta as an Edge Strong Team! 13/10 chance I would recommend Edge to anyone.

Justin Maziarz

Amazing gym. Now if you could only be open 24/7 5 days a week rather than 3. That is the only negative thing I can say about this place, outside of blaring Pitbull songs on the speakers at 5AM every day ;-). Absolutely amazing staff, super clean gym, great equipment (minus the hex plates and no round ones). Love this gym and the people that work there

Rob Worrick

Gym is great, nice size great weight selection. Staff is great too! But the music is horrible and they blast it throughout the whole entire gym too loudly, bring headphones.

Juice Man

It's way too crowded, looks too cluttered like they tried to fit in too many equipment in such a small space and have like a bunch of dudes socializing or on their phone for 30 minutes on one machine. If you're a thirsty gym creep who only goes to gawk at an abundance of females squatting in tight yoga pants, this place is for you

Christopher Mulroy

Very over crowded.... Can't even workout without someone standing on top of you or waiting for the equipment... Maybe it was the time of day idk. Nice place tho... Just not a gym for the hardcore lifters.

Leonardo Cruz

I find myself increasingly frustrated with the way Edge Fitness operates. The free space is continuously feeling smaller and smaller. With two areas of the gym only open to a paying that also pays separately for a personal trainer. Not only this but the open room has a revolving door of employee meetings and classes. So really it’s like these areas are “out of service” unless you pay more. There are limited machines and weights so unless you come during the perfect time of day; I have found it difficult to have proper training space on the turf, weights or machines. I am very disappointed and it shows the company wants to limit your experience until you pay up. This is the worst business model for long term customer satisfaction. It does not feel like a safe, non-judgmental zone. In fact, the employees come off like “high school students and acknowledge those they consider cool or popular”. They have limited hours and my workouts are comprised based on rushing because they are yet again changing their schedule for a holiday, weekday, weekend or some other poor reasoning. I pride myself in consistency and Edge clearly doesn’t. I give them my lowest rating.

Erin showed hospitality, and the Red Head Jessica Lee accomadated me when my phone was about to die with a charger she ran out to her car Chic Fil A energy

Andrew Kelly

Great gym friendly staff excellent variety of equipment and classes. Those who mentioned crowded just so happen to be there on the first Saturday the place was open. Pick another day to go or have patience! Cleanliness , haven’t saw anything worth mentioning dirty.

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. This is the WORST gym to join. There is a 2 YEAR contract which they may or may not tell you. (MOST gyms are 1 year contracts or none at all). Then if you happen to purchase a house or move anywhere within 15 miles, you will be charged a $59 membership fee to cancel...and to prove this you have to email your utility bill or closing papers to a THIRD PARTY (yes your payments are handled by third party, which they will not tell you & when you cancel must go thru them) just to prove you moved. No one is going to the same gym even if they moved 8 miles away like we did bc it takes 20min to even get there. This is the most inconvenient & unconventional way of cancelling a gym membership!!! ITS A GYM not a cable contract. I will not recommend this to anyone better off at LA Fitness where joining without 2 year contract and cancelling is a breeze right in the gym & not thru a third party.

SO MUCH BETTER then Max Fitness. That place sucked

Bryan Stevens

It's alright. Early mornings aren't too bad but if you go after work time be prepared to park far away and to wait for equipment. Also it'd be nice if the trainer staff didn't leave their bags and stuff scattered around when they decide to group lift since they already take up a ridiculous amount of space for their routines. Also maybe teach more staff that lift that reracking your weights should be a REQUIREMENT for working there. Not a hard concept honestly.

Ronald Mason Jr

Best gym in the area!

Alma Taylor

For all those complaining about being locked in, the details are all written down in the contract. You just need to read carefully. The gym does get crowded but it is also located in high traffic area. Clean womens locker room and equipment. I've had many different gym memberships and this gym offers the most. Wkmens area is nice to have especially when its crowded in the main floor. My kids come with me to the gym at times and they enjoy the kids area as well as the smoothies. It's a gym people, if you need help ask! Dont let these bad reviews steer you away. Check it out for yourself and ask lots of questions!

Mitchell Brown

Maybe this gym works for others, but not for me. This gym is made up of 90% 18-20 year old kids texting and taking selphies in the locker room. The music is extremely loud and not music I want to hear when im working out. The gym is extremely small and seems like unless you work out at a very off hour it would be a miserable workout experience.

Sheena Kyte

Awesome gym! Impeccably clean! I see cleaners all the time. The staff is walking around cleaning up the Weight floor. Check it out yourself!

Gary Stephens

Took a free one night pass. This place is amazing, amazingly over crowed never seen so many people standing around waiting for equipment. Looks pretty fancy with its LED lights and big fans but when it takes you twice as long to do your routine who cares about that stuff. Classes extra? The kids daycare looks fun though. Bottom line is that this place looks more like a pick up bar than a gym but ifs that what your looking for ,your in the right place

Tori Obe

I don't get what people are talking about tbh - I LOVEEE this gym I think the turf and equipment is all great! Huge step up from LAFitness. All gyms are crowded if you're going after work on at certain times , If you wake up early to get your workout in that'd help!

Nick

Love this gym. Tons of cool things to do, best equipment around, and the whole building is always squeaky clean. To the people complaining that it's busy....just don't go during rush hour....

Crowded like others mentioned, facility is alright at best, the fact that it's new wears off pretty fast. High pressure environment for new membership, I just wanted to try out different clubs in the area and they gave me the hard sell. Nice club just want to wait until the hype dies down.

Richard Rodriguez

Terrible Gym! Misleading! They never told me i would be charged 3 months in for an "enhancement" fee. I was told that the fee was once a year. I was not told that i would be charged as a new member during the first year. I asked a simple question as to why I was being charged this and the answer was "you signed on the Dotted line below it". It does not matter how your tone of voice is, rude is rude. You can dress up trash and it will still be trash! You are not supposed to run a business based on contracts and deception. I will never be going back to this horrible place.

Joshuah Thurbee

When the trainers are working out they have their gym bags and other accoutrement scattered throughout the workout area. I’ve seen trainers leave weights out and even heard one trainer tell a client “just leave it”. Sadly, the trainers here set a poor example and don’t add to a community atmosphere.

Cece Mitch

Great gym. Very clean and nice equipment. Staff could be a little more welcoming. All and all a good gym

Kate

Way too crowded . Prices need to be higher , unfortunately. It’s not fair to those who pay more for their membership for it to be packed with 10 dollar memberships .

Mary Nguyen

Rude staff and very crowded gym. Everything is so close together and always taken lots of people standing around waiting.

S Rob

There is.quite a lot of equipment and a couple of rooms you can use for exercising. They offer classes. However the staff didnt offer to assist with learning to use equipment properly. The only people getting tours were thise who had personal trainers (my experience). I think they should have staff walk around the gym about every 30-45 minutes to see if anyone has questions or needs assistance with using equipment or at the very least offer that as members scan in.

Candace Hills

Alysha Barkers

I should have done more research and I take full responsibility for that. This gym has great trainers. The customer service side behind the front desk is AWFUL. Along with the policies. To cancel a training appointment it is such a hassle. I also believe the con you nearly force you into buying their products. They are overly aggressive with sales. I came home with product I didn't want and didn't ask for!I was looking at the products and being told what I should use then it was all brought to the register WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND I WAS CHARGED FOR IT. I had hand surgery and was given the hardest time for canceling appointments so I forced myself To go against doctor orders. I fell for the hype of this place and when my contract is up I am canceling and going to another gym .I have been treated better at Planet fitness I will miss my trainer alot. Everything is a con I feel . They force you to get so many things.

Da-Jona Densley

Amazing Gym. I left for couple of months due to a new job that made it very difficult to get to the gym. I recently found my love for working out again and even through it is plenty of gyms closer to me I still have a great love for the Edge.

Matthew Onassis

Ridiculous gym! You cannot cancel your membership until your 1 year contract in done. Planet Fitness was not like this. Edge has $20 late payment fee!!! Unbelievable! I've never had this issue with planet fitness even when my credit card was declined. There are annual fee and service fee(??!!) on top of the monthly subscription. It's packed with tons of people at a time. There are at least 100 people all the time, unless you're working out at 1 am to 5 am which are only 30 to 50 people. I will never ever go back to this gym after my contract is over. I don't recommend it to anybody.

Victoria Phelps

Great facility, good location, and overall good employees. There are a few employees that seem to be more of a salesman than customer service personnel, and that is a little intimidating. Also, they enforce the fact that kid smoothies are for children 11 and younger. This is frustrating because after my workout I don't necessarily want a huge smoothie. Offering different sizes would entice me to spend money on the expensive shakes. Overall I am pleased with the equipment selection and class schedule. With the check-ins and reward points, this is a very motivating fitness club.

Nitamarie Loftin

I've been a member for a couple of months. I agree with a few of the previous reviews regarding the music. It's simple TOO LOUD. I've tried using my ear plugs to block out the noise with music that I like, but the Club's music is sooo loud that it drowns my music out. Managers....Please, Please lower the volume so all members can enjoy their music and members without headphones can enjoy the music you provide. Just not soooo loud.

Josilyne Thomas

Best gym I ever been to, always clean, friendly staff and it's a comfortable atmosphere!

B P

Friendly staff members, super clean facility and the atmosphere is great. I don’t see why you would choose another gym over this gym, especially considering the price. As far as what some of the negative comments say about cancelling a membership here...this gym is no different than any other gym, they are all hard to cancel these days.

Christina Macey

I already submitted an online complaint through the edge's website and let the employees know in person and nothing was done so please do not write back to call in or submit anything. I posted a picture for proof. The women's area is always propped open and unlocked. This area costs extra for members to access every month and it is advertised that the door should remained shut and a key card will allow you to unlock it. I recently closed it myself because it was so packed that you couldn't even stretch or use any equipment. Minutes later someone re-propped it open. I told one of the employees and he said that the "door was broken" which I don't think is true because I used it myself and the scanner worked and I was able to get back out. I asked him when they were thinking it would be "fixed" by and he said he wasn't sure. I am disappointed because I thought this area was going to be for women. Also that it would be locked and secured. I feel like it was advertised falsely and I would not have joined this gym or I would have chosen the cheaper membership.

Worst experience trying to cancel. I told them I had to cancel and they straight up told me no and I had to give specific reasoning which required specific proof. I moved to a place where had no edge gyms and I had sent proof. However they lie to you. It said in a previous email that once proof is sent that I did not need to be charged an extra monthly payment. Sent proof and am told I have to pay ANOTHER month???? Ridiculous company. It is hell to get out of. Don’t do it if you have any doubt you may not go in a few months. Wish there was zero stars.

Imani Fest

Awesome always had a good experiance ! Best gym ever hands down

Jada Harrow

I love this gym; the environment, the classes, the people, its all around great and really motivates you to become active and healthier! On the down side its not open 24/7 which is annoying.

Alex Jones

Will Mac

Good gym; music is horrendous, bring headphones! This is a great place to work out. Clean, all the equipment you need, friendly staff, but the music is WEAK. Tom Petty, Cheryl Crow, Savage Garden, and R.E.M. just don’t motivate me. It wouldn’t be a big deal but I work out with my buddy so we don’t wear headphones.

Keva Green

The staff is unprofessional and less than mediocre. I had an issue and was asked " what do you want me to do". I wish I never signed up in CherryHill. I use Washington Twp and West Deptford where the staff was trained properly.

Tara Weitzman

Gym looks decent went to check it out got a tour from the worst possible guy marcus dude could care less about doing a good walk thru and actually showing you workout equipment his lack of interest in getting a new member to join detoured me from joining for now.

Harry Simba

Great energy and big open space from the moment you walk in. I love the extremely high ceiling and natural light. Very clean and accessible staff.

Natasha E

I love Edge!! The staff, the facilities, the equipment...all top notch. They are now playing better music so I don’t feel like I’m dying a slow death if I happen to forget my headphones. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because they canceled all of the late evening spin classes (7pm). Those were the only ones that fit my weekly schedule and also the only cardio I actually like, so I am very disappointed with that business decision. I also don’t understand why they need to close early the day before a holiday when the “eve” is not an important day...only to reopen on the holiday for shorter hours. It causes the gym to be MASSIVELY crowded and annoying...beyond those 2 fixable issues the gym is great and I am glad I joined.

Abbey Pai

I loved this gym until recently. The people who come to the gym regularly act like they are better than everyone else and expect you to have certain bench chairs and equipment a certain way. Disgusting. Everyone is here to workout just like them. Instead of criticizing someone why don't you help someone out in nice way!

Michelle Beech

It’s the stupidest thing in the world that you need to go to a kiosk to book your tan or massage then get a ticket to go to the front desk just to go back to the tan and massage area again. If im looking at an open booth or chair and scan my key why can’t I just start the program? Also no one tells you this when you sign up even when I asked how to tan knowing I’d be back they said that you just scan your key. UPDATE***: here now to tan and my slip says 8 so they won’t let me tan because even though the people who signed up for earlier may or may not be in there they don’t want me to go in. Why don’t they just have people go to the desk and the desk turn it on like EVERY OTHER GYM. Why am I forced to wait a half hour when there can’t possibly be one person tanning for that long and no one in their right mind prefers to schedule their tans.

I am not pleased with Edge Fitness. When checking my bank statement I noticed a charge for $49 that I received. I called and ask about it of course it was explained away. I thought this club was different from the rest it is not. Hidden charges and other fees always kills your clients admiration of your business. I wish I could just cancel my membership but after reading reviews of other member's experiences trying to cancel I guess I am stuck here at a club that has lost my trust and loyalty.

Vadimere Mann

It's so overcrowded and now I figured out why. Beautiful place, not even close to having enough equipment. People waiting for equipment everywhere.

Michael Ottino

Good atmosphere, clean and very spacious. Equipment can be limited at times when there’s a lot of people working out but that’s at any gym so..4/5

Nadine Littles

This review encompasses all the centers. Pros, In my opinion: This gym is essentially unlike any other gym you will find in the area. I have never been a member of any other gym, but I'm pretty sure they do not offer everything that Edge Fitness offers. I especially love the classes that they offer, the women's only room and the cinema room. Edge Fitness is also very welcoming in comparison to other gyms. Cons: Yes, Edge Fitness can get a bit expensive. I truly don't understand why certain classes require an additional fee, when I am already paying $30 a month. I feel as though there are not enough classes running throughout the day and evenings in all the centers in general. Classes fill up very quickly and it can be very hard at times to reserve a slot, ESPECIALLY in the Deptford location. I jump from different centers in order to reserve classes most times. I go to the gym in the mornings, when it isn't as crowded. However, in the evenings, when people are getting out of work or children are getting out of school....it can get VERY crowded.

Christina A. Rivera

Wish I can give it "0" stars!! They do not deserve any stars. DO NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT! They will entice you with their great amenities but once you're in it is super hard to get out. Never had this problem before with Planet Fitness. Willing to pay the cancellation fee, I am still unable to cancel this damn membership. I am moving away and they are want proof of the move. There is no reason I should have to go through this. It's like I'm in a cage with them and cannot get out. FYI - They don't let you cancel in person.

Mary Leigh

Terrible expierence! I was extended a free pass for the day and figured I’d go check it out. This gym is insanely overcrowded and has some of the most obnoxious members I’ve ever encountered. The staff doesn’t seem to care about anything other then enrolling new members and overcrowding this place even further. When they sign someone up they do some sort of obnoxious screaming thing. I heard the LA across the street remodeled hopefully I’ll have better luck there.

Julia Hoover

I’m actually surprised anyone can say something negative about this gym. It’s probably the most welcoming gym I’ve ever been too and every employee is so friendly and helpful!

Vikki Walker

This gym has everything you need to stay in shape. They offer multiple classes and special edge strong classes. I love the hoist equipment because it normally moves your entire body for form. It has a turf and all women’s area. They also have a lot of free weights in different forms. The massage chair sucks though

Tommy Low

Mike the shakes guy definitely doesn’t know what he doing and can’t handle making 3 shakes at a time the order was all wrong and gave me a additude when I just only told him the order was wrong but still took it anyways. Edge as a gym is pretty good!

This gym is full of scammers. I signed up a few months ago with someone named Trevor and was told that there are no hidden/additional fees. He reiterated, and I verified, that it's $1 to sign up and the monthly charge for 12 months. Instead, I got a random charge of $50, called in to speak to Trevor, and was told that he's not with the company anymore. I plan on contacting my bank, the BBB, and the State Attorney General. Even the girl that picked up didn't act like she cared or was surprised and said "yeah, a lot of people are calling in today to complain about that" and continued to tell me that it was in the contract. They hire scumbags and then make excuses about them not being there, as if they can't be held accountable for hiring people who deceive customers. I look forward to reporting them and blocking all upcoming transactions.

DON'T JOIN! The worst fitness center ever!!!!!! The manager management sucks. The sellsmen are very bad and unprofessional, didn't mention a single thing about their rules and policies which are about 10 pages long. And they will make full use of that of when you want to cancel the membership. The manager's rude. In the end, you will never be able to cancel it. Worst experience ever! And it's always been so full of people, couldn't find any facility to use in peak hours. DON'T JOIN!

Do not sign up without having an attorney review their contract , it is for fooling others their advertised month to month contracts is guised under full 1 year contract and they will simply shut the door of ending contract for any reason if you are not either satisfied with service or personal issues. I had horrible experience with billing and the fitness center , paying each month without availing service. Dont think they are apologetic of their policy to to cheat customers by looking at their response. Stay away from them for good reason, your mental health is precious.

Liz Green

Yet another over crowded inexpensive gym.

Jennifer Vargas

I never stepped in this gym before and signed up not knowing that the surgery I had coming up was going to not let me be physical. They made it such a hassle To cancel. You have to email and pay a $50 fee on top of your last monthly payment. There’s no way at all to cancel in person. They were taking money out of my account for an entire YEAR and never wanted to give me my member ID to cancel. I will not recommend this gym to anyone.

Malik Davis

terrible. Small and packed not nearly enough equipment like 10 treadmills in this whole place.

Cpo Oehboi

I just joined the Cherryhill Edge last week and it has been the best investment I have made in years. The staff are all energetic, polite, informative and care about you achieving your fitness aspirations as much as you do. All the right equipment is there for you to put in the work. The classes are on point, even the bathroom is clean. The smoothie bar is perfectly located at the exit for you to get your nutrients on the go. This place is the postive environment that you need to achieve. No joke.... I look forward to going back each morning. To address the reviews that state over crowding, yes it can get crowded at times, but most people work and hit the Edge after. Dont use the fact of people wanting to better themselves as an excuse for you to discredit this gym. Stop making excuses and adapt. I go early in the morning. Less people and im in and out. My point is, is that if you are reading this. Go and give this place a try, they will hook you up with a pass. Go with an open mind. The Edge is more then a gym its a lifestyle.

Pratibha Devi Selvakumar

Husband has a membership card over here, when we tried cancelling it because we moved to mount laurel, they said it had to be over certain miles so that we could cancel it, which in itself was ridiculous because the membership seems forced then, what’s the point of paying every month when we don’t use it. That being said, they gave us an option or buy out which means we have to pay To cancel the membership, this is a total rip off. And this we are talking about a prime member card here. Now, I understand that’s business but what put us off is the rude behavior of the reception folks there. They literally just gave us a card and said we have to call the customer care to cancel it, so to buy a membership they basically guide through but to cancel it’s the customers responsibility? This is the rudest experience I have had in a gym. Will never recommend it to any friend.

The worst gym I’ve ever had the displeasure to interact with. Strongly advise anyone considering this gym to turn the other way, you’d be better off going to planet fitness

Now let me tell you about Egde fitness , hands down the best gym ,, I've been in alot of gyms and the hype they have is freaking awesome , i love the weight and the theater room with tread mills, the sauna and kids zone like you can't beat it, I choosed the 25 a month plans and includes everything it haves a annual fee of 49.99 which is not bad honestly unlike planet fitness they charged 63.99 annually and then now they coming up with a late fee of 10 dollars , at egde the staff are awesome in cherry hill and Deptford and I get more there I love they blast there music to just get your mind in your work out and the staff give suggestions to give us a extra pump yes it is packed at times but it cause it awesome gym that tells you I love the free weights and so like I said and they have a shake bar which you can get a nutritional supplements and diet drinks I wouldn't change my desicion at all

Over crowded, awful music. The unnecessary loud yelling front the staff when a new member joins is extremely obnoxious. Had to cancel membership because of moving and was told my billing was done. Still got billed an extra month. Then The consultant had the nerve to lie to my wife that "he never said that" when I watched him put last billing date into the computer. This is your typical, lying box gym. You can find better for the same cost

Total “bro” gym! This place is infested with 20 year old meatheads, I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s an extremely intimidating environment because the gym is small the music is insanely loud and it’s just full of grunting meatheads...not for me maybe for others no thank you!

Jose Rodriguez

It is a scam with the points for having referred a friend. They are lying!!!

The employees on the floor are constantly on their cell phones and not giving customers full attention when checking in. The poor communication and customer skills have led me and members dissatisfaction to their services. Also, the employees use their cellular phones in locker rooms and have un-consented taken photos of members in the background, which is a violation of "gym policy." However, this gym's rule will not be applied to their employees, but unfavorably to their customers who are paying their salaries. In addition, I've been having many receiving many noises complaints from their staff members for dead-lifting. With basic concepts of physics, deadlifts will create a sound no matter what and the pressure on the spine from holding the exercise will extremely put the individual at risk for an injury. This facility is a gym, not a library. Also, I have been told that I would be "damaging" their gym floor. The gym floor is equipped with shock-absorption mats that can withstand the weight of a horse with a 5-year-warranty. The average weight of a horse is 800-2000lbs, I do not believe me performing a deadlift will affect the floor, or else there will be indications so. Furthermore, this gym has damaged and bent barbells from members doing excessively and egoistic rack pull and receive no complaint. I've been a club member of this franchise for almost two years. With my experience with Edge Fitness Club-Cherry Hill, the employees are highly unprofessional and ignorant.

Don’t join this gym!!! Do yourself a favor and read the reviews 98% of them I’ve experienced myself first hand. It’s way over crowded, no parking and I found myself most of the time substituting for a bench or a machine I wanted to use. My wife was a member she had the “friend “ plan and she wanted to switch to the 9.99 plan she was going to resign and I was going to join Alonzo “the manager “ said your contract is up in April that was 6 weeks ago, he said don’t cancel just come in and we’ll take care of you both. We came back walked through the door the guy at the counter asked how he could help, we explained we wanted to resign and join, looked 15 ft to the sales associate saw he was texting or playing agame on his phone and called him and asked if he was busy, he replied does it look like I’m busy? I couldn’t believe it so we went to go and talk to him which his name is Marcus from the very beginning I could tell that he did not want to be bothered whatsoever he was very rude and couldn’t give us any answers not like he wanted to anyway he pulled up my wife’s account and we noticed that we were charged $50 for an annual fee but her contract was already over and there was no way for us to get that back ,then we explained she wanted to move to the 9.99 plan And I wanted to join us for the 9.99 plan He then says that we had to pay a downgrade fee of $60 to move my wife to that plan I asked if there was a manager I was told the managers leave at 7 o’clock to come back tomorrow so we did it we sat at the bar for 20 minutes before I personally had to find a manager myself , The gentleman told me he was the acting manager in training that he didn’t know too many details so we sat with another associate and got absolutely nowhere I’m really not one to complain but this is absolutely ridiculous to sign up and to re-sign a contract for A Gym membership should not be this hard at all , i’ve had an easier experience buying vehicles or even a house . I think this gym is lacking and I’ll turn off various starting at the top and all the way down the majority of the people that work there are very rude unprofessional and unknowledgeable also they will tell you that there is no hidden fees if you do not read the contract like your life depended on it trust me when I tell you you will get screwed over they will start taking money out of your account and you will have no idea what they’re taking it out for until you complain. Yes it’s 0 down yes it’s 0 first month . There is a annual fee there is a enrollment fee there is a fee to downgrade your plan my wife paid extra for classes she could never get into ! There’s a $20 late fee if you miss a payment they tried negotiating that he says they will waive that but if you’re paying direct deposit anyway how could you be late ? If you do not right off hand written letter 30 days prior to the end of your contract you will be charge a $50 annual fee! Non refundable here is definitely a tip if you choose to walk away from your contract you can without repercussions but they will not tell you that you just have to tell the bank to stop making payments to age and there is nothing they can do about it they can’t put you in collections because you don’t put your Social Security number down when you signed up

This gym is AMAZING!! The machines are all high quality, spaced nicely, and there is a variety of brands. As well, this has to be the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. A clean team is there constantly, and the staff is always on the floor reracking weights and keeping things tighty. Love the energy and enthusiasm from the staff as well. It’s priced well for everything it includes - no hidden fees or rising prices. Love love love The Edge!

Looks great when you walk in however, everything is really cheap! This gym is brand new and already 2 pieces of broken equipment I’ve noticed! Music is unbearably loud and this gym is just constantly over crowded with young obnoxious kids. After calling ABC financial (which was a nightmare) I was able to buy out of the contract for $60...what a rip!

I live in Las Vegas and came here on a 1 day pass when I was back home visiting family. Called up and spoke to Q who said I could come in to try it out. I must say I am very impressed with this gym. First off, the place is superbly clean, which cleanliness seems to be lacking in many gyms nowadays. The locker rooms are sparkling clean as well, and are set up very nice and organized. The fitness floor has all the free weights and machines you can ask for, as well as for all the cardio equipment. Tons of machines to get in a good workout no matter what you’re working out. All the weights and equipment all seem relatively new, and everything is in perfect working order. And members actually put back their weights after using it so no unwanted scavenger hunts!! It wasn’t too crowded either, compared to the gym I go to in Vegas where you’re practically bumping shoulders with other members. I was there close to 2 hours and was able to get in an amazing workout! This gym is really top notch and I highly recommend it to anyone. Gym membership prices are great too! I was a member at Lifetime Athletic in Mount Laurel and Vegas paying close to $130 and $150/month and I can tell you this place is way better!! You don’t need overpriced gyms when everything you need is right here! Only thing is it doesn’t have a basketball court or pool, but that’s no big deal to me. Only thing they need is good upkeeing of this place! You can have a stellar gym at day 1 but if you don’t take care of it then it’s going to decline over time and then people won’t like it. My advice to management is don’t be like other gyms when they open and they’re all clean and nice and everything working, and then no one takes care of it and it all goes downhill. Keep the place clean, keep everything working, update equipment or other things as needed, open up new nearby gyms when membership is high to avoid overcrowding and make sure to always put members and their well being first before their money! All the staff seems happy and are very friendly and welcoming which is good. If I lived in Cherry Hill this would definitely be my place without a doubt, and for anyone looking I highly recommend here. 5/5!!

I am about a month into my membership here having previously been at LA. I have a few things to say about this gym to anyone looking. First is be prepared for a hard sell. I suggest that you be prepared to walk out before making a decision so the sales can't pressure you. Second, compared to other gyms this is very clean. LA fitness had a certain pervasive funk. I hope that they keep up with maintenance and cleaning as the facility ages. It is is getting a little too busy the last few weeks. I hope that the gym doesn't get too crowded as it is certainly starting to. UPDATE: This place is crazy busy and members are starting to notice. Has been a little friction between member over waiting for equipment. In response to some negative comments about the music and patrons. I personally prefer the music at a louder level. It invigorates the gym and gives you something to listen to when your headphones die. The patrons are the same as in every other gym. Some are big. I am a short guy and have never felt intimidated. If you are insecure and judgmental - consider your grandma's basement or go to Planet Fitness. We will revisit our decision at the end of our yearly membership. In all, my family is happy coming here.

Two faced people simply the worst Edge cherry hill management...

ZERO stars. Negative if possible. Won't let you out of the contract, ever. Don't do it.

Kimberly McKeever

I wish there was a way to give this place negative stars. I already did not like this gym because of the way they try to scam you into getting a personal trainer. You sign up and no one tells you how to work the equipment, sign up for classes and the massage chairs. etc. Instead they hand you over to a personal trainer and say it's free for the first time when really it's a scam to get you to sign up for a personal trainer. On top of this, my husband and I have had a change in life circumstances. When I first signed up I was a stay at home mother with two little ones. The only reason I joined is because of the kids gym which is only open from 8-12 and 4-8. Since then I have taken a job which requires me to work the same hours the kids gym is open. They absolutely refuse to let me out of the contract even though I can no longer utilize the gym. My hubs and I have made several phone calls to Edge and ABC financial over the past week. The only thing we hear is the same brainwashed rhetoric over and over again: you can only get out of your contract if you move, you are military or become disabled. I do not fit this criteria so they are holding me hostage. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

Zengqin Liu

It's better if they can open 24 hours everyday not just 3 days a week. So that's limit to access to this fitness

Jessica Peralta

Wish i can give them negative star! This gym is VERY misleading! just want you to sign the dotted line and lock you in! I was misinformed and deceived! PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS!!!! All i wanted to do was make a change to my account and was told as of last month, membership cannot makes changes unless they have a medical problem. When i signed on 12/30/17, i was told i can change my membership WHENEVER!!! All i wanted to do was downgrade my membership and add my husband! Now i'm canceling my account!

Steve Spurlock

Too crowded, not enough squat machines I literally spend half of my time at the gym waiting around for other people to finish working out.
