I feel really sad to read these reviews. This should be a place to go to relax and feel good about yourself and our kids have begged us to belong and I feel you must be paying for the name and kids don't understand that, but I don't want such a hassle to belong to a gym. I guess it is a difference of owning a Nike pair of shoes vs. Asics. Asics are far better for your fee to run in, but my kids want the name of Nike to wear. I want to thank the people that posted because I would have never guessed with the amount of money paid that there would be such problems.

Over a year of swimming lessons at lifetime and My son was still not comfortable in the water and a different instructor almost every week did not help the situation. Instructor Tony Otero makes him so comfortable with water. I really like his approach. He is so friendly and patient. I can see the progress after 2 classes. He can float on his own, is able to go under water and with minimal help from Tony he is able to swim a short distance! He loves the water now and is excited about swimming lessons!

Was working out at around 11:30 pm since I was fasting during the day and like to work out at night. Was basically treated very rudely and kicked out since it was 12. (New gym hours for this location I guess) how about you give me a discount then since it’s not 24 hours and that’s the only reason I signed up (overpriced). Now I have to drive to Centreville to get in a workout. Seriously thinking of joining another gym.

We have swabbed over 30 different surfaces, machines and areas within this club. We have also surveyed membership, classes, management as well as child care. We're confirming, tabulating and collecting all test results. Results will be displayed here on March 26, 2017. We will use the following scale for our rating: F ⭐ D ⭐⭐ C ⭐⭐⭐ B ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went to club today. Worst customer service ever. They can care less about guests. I had a disagreement about something and the moran didn’t have the courtesy to get up from his desk to speak to me the guest. Too busy looking at Facebook. Service stinks and very rude . Senior manager of sales big deal dumb title. Never going back unless membership is free and even then I will still think about it

Gym is great. Clean, equipment is near new. My favorite is swimming pool. Highly recommend. Staff is friendly and professional. In particular want to note Jamarr Ramey. People like him make this place the preferred choice. One thing which was overlooked at initial planning: no racquetball. For this reason I have another club membership. Would love to have just one place for work-out & racquetball.

Eggo Kkk54

I love their swimming pool and basketball court and the rock climbing the whole place it self is awesome!!!

Layla Mirza

I love this place. The showers are clean, the equipment always works (except jacuzzi that's a hit and miss) the spa staff is amazing. Management, in my experience so far has been great! My reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the Life Cafe staff. They just don't look like they wanna be there. When you try to ask them a question they give you an attitude and make it seem like they are doing you a favor by answering. That's why I avoid the cafe. Too bad, their menu looks good but I refuse to interact with that kind of staff.

Facility is much more adequate than the nearby gym I left and is a modern updated design though I am not a huge fan of the burgundy seat covers in the weights section. I enjoy many of the classes and there are plenty from which to choose. Only exception is the yoga class which features odd moves, rap songs and overall is big departure from typical healing yoga forms. The manager is always acting very fake with artificial smiling and asking the three of us what class we took and if we enjoyed it. Also it is somewhat irony that he is overweight and managing a facility dedicated to health and well being of people. Additionally, all my friends are Indian that attend gym with me and they all share same sentiment that the management are hostile towards the South Asian community. It is very sad in this day and age to experience something like this. Front desk is always lovely and pleasant and always greet me and my friends with our given names. Cafe has so many delicious items but the price is quite high even higher than the Whole Foods Market. Unfortunately I stopped using the cafe after a large protein and vanilla shaker became $9. Locker room is clean but too many young kids running around in the day and weekend is dangerous and annoying because the parents allow them to run wild. Also I see many employee of the gym opening multiple locker for no reason. Not sure if this is the policy for them to open and check all locker but it seems invading of our private space we are using. Also, even a less expensive gym provide the shampoo and body wash but this place over here cannot. Can someone please explain this? Overall, good facility of the area and hard to beat but staff could use some new training guide.

Alex Morales

No longer open 24/7. High membership fee. Read fine print before you sign up. Overpriced store. Plenty of space and equipment to work out. Personal trainer doesn't respond back to texts unless you're setting a time and date so they can get paid :) Managers are okay.

I'll start with the positive. This is a beautiful and expansive facility with lots of amenities. The physical aspect of this location is more than adequate. However, if my job did not pay the majority of my membership dues, I would cancel my membership. The customer service is consistently horrible. I've noticed that when members lock themselves out of their locker, the staff seem bothered to help them. Last night in fact, an older locked herself out of her locker. She was trying to speak to the staff member to understand what she did wrong and the employee was talking very fast and rushed through her explanation as if she did not have time to help. One of my friends needed help getting into his locker and an employee who was actively cleaning the sinks said he could not help him because he was off the clock. The sales team is not friendly unless you are bringing in someone who might potentially join the club. Other than that, you are not a priority. Took me a week to add someone to my account. It would be helpful to post the pool schedule in the locker rooms so people don't come to the gym expecting to swim only to find out that both pools are reserved for adult and kids swim practice. I've wasted two trips to the gym only to find out that all lanes were reserved. For the amount of money paid in dues, I would expect a much better experience. Instead, I always feel as if Lifetime feels like it's doing me a favor by allowing me to be a member. The majority of the facility needs a lesson in putting the customer first and exercising soft skills.

The Falls of Neuse Life Time Fitness is a great facility and the facilities were well maintained during our time there. It has many things to do and the various equipment allow you to do many types of exercises. However, there are two complaints: The Kids’ Center and the guest policy. Our child had an unfortunate incident in which she was assaulted by another child under their supervision. The response was unreassuring and as a result we cancelled our child’s membership. We also had a family friend whose daughter had a similar experience and they pulled their child out of the center for good as well. We continued to come out and did activities as a family, but the incident left a lasting impression not only with us, but for others. It would be too concerning to place our children there especially at the age when they cannot verbalize. We eventually joined a gym where we can confidently leave our children in their care during our workouts. The guest policy can be frustrating and it may be so to promote exclusivity. However, it can be a bummer when you invite a few people in a span of year to introduce them to the life time experience and have them feel not so welcomed.

Connie Guillen

Great pool, staff is super friendly and the classes are awesome!

Moji SB

I will echo another reviewers comments -- The majority of the facility needs a lesson in putting the customer first and exercising soft skills and that starts all the way at the top with the General Manager. I remain a member for one reason only - A handful of the group class instructors are exceptional and passionate about their job. I have grown so accustomed to those instructors - I shudder to make a change.

Don't join if you actually want to swim in that beautiful pool! They only let swim team use it after work hours, so you will have to swim Inside even though you are paying good money. Also they manipulate the reviews because mine from five months ago with only one star has been deleted, but the ones from a year ago with five stars are still there

jennifer Cory

Staff is wonderful, knows you by name. The kids programs are amazing. Love the snow day child care and summer camp, so does my son!

Walter McCann

Has all one needs to stay in shape or get in shape. No pressure to do more than one wants, but offers just about every kind of equipment one can think of and all the instruction one needs or no instruction at all if that is your desire.

Charisse

All about the money. The daycare didn’t make me feel comfortable at all! When being dropped off, i noticed kids were not being paid attention too. He was also given back to me with a mark on his head and was not able to cancel my membership immediately even though there was no way I would return after that. Members were sent notifications that RSV had been going around as well as HFM. They take children when they are sick, and even a friends child got chicken pox! Needless to say,I canceled my membership . Waste of money. Edit: I did contact cooperate and wasn’t even heard out! Was placed on hold ... Not a care in the world. Just wanted the money!

Laura Hitt

I like this club so much that when I was looking at having to pick up a second job I looked here. I am now not just a member but an employee. I can tell you from what I seen on both sides these people really love the place they are working at. The smiles you see are genuine. The way management here cares about their employees as much as their members is truly extraordinary. I have worked at many part time jobs in my life but this is one of the very few where I have seen this level of satisfaction. As far as the services, the trainers, nutritionist and instructors are amazing. They are knowledgable & treat you like family. They are truly invested and concerned with you reaching your goals. The facilities are wow! Need I say more!

My wife and I recently opened up a membership here. We were greeted by the account manager Ali Shah. I thought he was very professional and beyond helpful when we were transfering to this gym. Definitely ask for him if you are thinking about coming here. I also couldnt be happier with the kids academy. They have so many activities that my daughter will be able to partake in when shes a little older. All in all i would recommend the gym. Clean facility, friendly staff. My only complaint is the aquatic center has been having issues with scheduling our swim lessons for our daughter. And cancelling without notifying us.

Brian Self

Best health club in Raleigh!

Encountered some racist activity here before while working on a job assignment very unpleasant.

Gideon Beck

In all the gyms I have been at you learn not to drop weights or let weights on machines come crashing down. Not here. People are so ignorant about basic lifting etiquette the floor shakes from people dropping weights. They are like..."See how much I can lift?" and the staff says and does nothing!

Haley Watts

The front desk staff ruined my experience here.

Cancelled two years ago, but LifeTime continued to bill credit card every month.

I went to LifeSpa at Lifetime Fitness for a hair-cut after receiving a giftcard from a friend. Melissa was my hairstylist, and she was wonderful, in so many ways. She has a warm personality, and she has the most therapeutic hands. I almost fell asleep during my shampoo/conditioning, cut, and blow-dry. No, I wasn't tired; She's just a relaxation-wizard or something. I don't know how else to describe it. She took her time on my hair, and it looked and felt better than I could have imagined upon completion. I cannot offer a full review of Lifetime Fitness, as I am not a member. However, the facilities were clean and the amenities were impressive. I'd join in a heart-beat if it were convenient to where I lived/worked.

The outdoor pool is wonderful although the food service is very slow

Was a member for over 5 years and I just gave notice for a number of reasons. The first is a complete lack of interaction and customer services. In over 5 years I never had any staff even say hello to me (with the exception of the front desk), let alone create any interaction about how my experience could be improved. I attempted to bring guests on 2 occasions in the last 4 years, because of rules they changed after I joined, they refused my guests both times. Secondly, the number of machines in certain areas don't equate to usage in the gym (many popular machines are in constant use and others sit free at all times), when I asked about how they monitored usage to make sure they had the correct machines I was told that mostly the feedback came from trainers and it was admitted they were biased in what machines they want. If they simply monitored usage during peak times they would know which machines need to be purchased and which machines are only taking up space. Lastly, I witnessed a severe bullying incident in the gym where one man followed a man and woman around the gym then followed them outside, as it happened I voiced the response from the woman that she felt very afraid and asked her friend to leave with her, I filed a complaint at the time and specifically asked the manager to call me as I felt it to very serious. I never received a call, and two separate times brought this up to the front desk and still never was asked about the incident. I was working out six days a week and never saw that couple again, but saw the offender every night for at least a year. My conclusion after every interaction is this is a very corporate gym and you aren't treated as a member as much as a transaction. They've had 5 general managers in 5 years and I've never seen one on the gym floor interacting with members, I only see them as I walk into the building in their office.

Lance Billard

Wow. Salesperson gone bad. I read the reviews, and I actually couldn't believe they could be THAT rude. Decent facility that I just wanted to try before I buy. Eric kept pushing and pushing... questioning and questioning. He made me feel like a thief trying to rob the place. I finally said, "Hey Eric, I am feeling like you are giving the hard sell and I don't like it". But that didn't stop him. All he had to do was let me try it a couple times and I would have signed up. But... WOW... just WOW.

We have been to lifetime more than a year now. Their group classes are not bad, but the management seems like don't care about their members as long as you are paying the fees. My 3 years old caught athelic foot from the pool and I filed two times complaint to the manage wishing they could speak with me to avoid other kids getting it, never heard from them!

Jim Besser

We've been heavy users since it opened. Yes, it has some flaws (sometimes the men's locker room is a little rank, especially the bathroom, but then again, men in locker rooms tend to be pigs), and the pool is not pleasant. But overall - a great gym. Good staff, good variety of equipment. The WiFi was a big problem, but they seem to have fixed it so I can stream movies. My wife loves the classes and the trainers. The cafe is very good.

kelly flanagan

Consistently cheerful and helpful staff. Excellent kids area. Group fitness classes are usually better than at O2 or the Y. Great zero entry pool with a slide and you don't need to bring your own lock for the lockers or your own shower towels.

Gal Shina

Great customer service and great variety of activities for both children and adults!!!! Worth every $ !!

I was thinking about signing my son up for this gym so that he could workout and train for basketball in Raleigh, North Carolina. The CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE SUCKS!!!!!!!!! I am almost tempted to go to my local news station and have them reported for horrible customer service and very high prices!!!!!!!!!!! The manager sent me a very nasty email about my child’s free pass and I was almost going to sign him up until the manager Diana sent me the nasty and bad attitude email!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you all started this business trying to offer good customer service over the next gym, you have failed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the gym looks nice but the attitude and bad customer service makes people want to go other places…….. I would rather go to a small gym where they appreciate your business and know your name!!!!! I have never been to a gym that had this bad of customer service especially from a so called manager!!!!!!!!!!

Clean gym. Nice staff. Wish the outside pool was open 24 hours and not just the lanes.

Zen Anesthesia

Overpriced, crowded but the best available nearby in Summerlin.

Gym equipment is phenomenal as usual. The absolute worst management ive have seen. There is a huge customer service gap from the Onxy levels and the Platinum levels. Not sure of other gyms in the area but I would check them out before returning here.

Jose Rubio

Great Gym. Has it all, great classes, great atmosphere. Great if you want to swim too with two indoor and one outdoor pool.

TDA

This gym isn't perfect, but it's consistently been very good during the more than a decade I've gone there. Staff is generally helpful; as long as they are free the personal trainers will offer support (spotting) and useful observations and advice, even if you are not paying them. The locker room staff are unsung heroes; only once in more than a decade have towels not been available, and the various provided toiletries are usually well stocked. The exercise room is usually clean, and the machines are almost always in good working order (in the past, long down-times were an issue, but they have not been in past three years), and staff is good about addressing any safety issues or actual malfunctions. Sometimes, there is more wear and tear on pads and cushions visible than would be ideal. So, why not five stars? The management of membership fees, as many reviewers have noted, is poor. It is MUCH harder to cancel or to remove someone from a membership than it is to join or to add someone. That's probably less an issue tied to this location than Life Time corporate policy. Their membership dues structures and benefits are not plain, and they are not simple. Since Life Time is not inexpensive, that's unfortunate.

Been a member here since 2009, but they slowly keep raising prices. Its a good facility, with good service, but the management or business model is annoying. They are very stingy on guests and passes. If you bring a guest they pretty much take them hostage for an hour to try and sell them membership and when thats over, the person they came with is done working out. None of the features or anything has changed over the years, yet the rates keep going up. Probably not sustainable. They need to treat their long term members better, it still feels like I have the privileges of a newly joined member.

Alexis H

Facilities are fine, but staff could use some re-training. We’ve been members since ‘09 and same ol’ BS with rude employees.

Olya Carlin

Beautiful facility! Great kids academy, yoga, group fitness, weights, cycling, spa, cafe! Love it.

Quinn Reynolds

This gym is pricey but there is always something to do. They have the best gym in the Raleigh area. They also have a great location in Cary. Everyone from the staff to the actual members are absolutely amazing. I could spend all day there. They have a cafe with great food and a spa onsite which has some exceptional services for reasonable prices. I wish I never switched to O2 fitness. As soon as I finish my contact with O2 fitness I will definitely rejoin this gym.

Josh Nelson

While going here may have been nice, and the facility is nice, dont plan on being able to cancel your membership easily if you move, a simple call or email will not do you have to jump through hoops they also sign you up for one price and jack it up by almost half after a month. The managers could care less as long as they have your money.

Great amenities, great staff. Sign up on a weekend for cheaper fees

The review Is more for corporate than the local staff. I originally had signed up for a corporate account . Locally but the corporate accounting department wears the pants and they try to enforce rules and policies that were different from what I was promised locally. So it didn’t work out and we canceled the corporate account. But I was continued to be charged personally on my personal credit card even though the account was canceled and I calling to cancel while I’m out of town and I’m told it’s gonna be another 30 days before I can cancel well it’s funny how he was able to cancel the corporate account but yet they’re still charging my credit card. This is a place where team members try to build the best relationship possible with its members. The staff works really hard to provide the best experience for its members each and every visit and though it is not always perfect there is a great deal of care. If you plan on joining this club we hope that what you also are looking for is to build long lasting relationships with the staff and other members. Come in and take a tour and you be the judge of whether or not the club and the experience is what you are looking for.

This gym is above all other gyms in the greater Las Vegas area. Many of these reviews are people venting about the price. It is an expensive gym but you are paying for a quality unmatched by any other facilities in Las Vegas. There are ample amounts of equipment. Even during peak hours, you are able to find a machine or equipment you are looking for. Highly recommend

Dave

Wow.... I read some of these reviews and wonder if I am going to the same gym? I am not rich either but the staff at Lifetime - from the front desk check-in people, to the guys who fix the machines, to the people who clean the locker rooms, to any management person I have ever interacted with, to all the instructors - are all amazing. Friendly, happy, willing to do what they can to make your gym time a good experience. Never once has anyone asked me what I drive or how much money I make. So not sure what driving a Prius has to do with anything. I don't see cameras in the parking lot to see what you pull up in so how on earth would they know if you are rich or not? For a teacher that sort of observation seems pretty sketchy. I send my kids to your class (teachers in general). Do you ask them how much money daddy makes before you decide to be nice? I doubt it - so using the fact you are "not rich" in a review about how people have treated you is odd. I have found that Prius owners act "holier than thou". There was even a South Park episode on how Prius People think their farts smell good - so perhaps the reason you were treated poorly is because you acted poorly? I saw one guy at the front desk loudly arguing that he be let in. He didnt have his card, or his license, or ANY ID at all but he "pays $250.00 a month so you better F'ing let me in or I will sue you". People like that rarely get the A+ treatment... But I digress. The facility itself is amazing. I was surprised at the review that the music was too loud. I have tried to Shazam a number of songs and it is too soft for Shazam to hear them and Tag them. Maybe they turned it down but it has been that way since I joined. I also belonged to LVAC for years. Machines out of order or in bad shape, "grunters" farting on you as they worked out in the weight room, the entire place smelled like burnt food from the "cafe" and farts from the muscle heads and their protein overload (they laugh and call it "crop dusting"). Mold in the shower area, smelly towels... It is your basic $20.00 a month gym. Yes Lifetime is a LOT more expensive so it isn't for everyone, but the machines are well taken care of and plentiful, the people you encounter working out are polite (the other gym rats) and the classes are amazing. Someone mentioned there are no evening classes? Not true. Tons of them. All in all I love the Lifetime experience and while it is hard seeing that money come out of checking each month it gives me the incentive to use the membership to the fullest. All in all I highly recommend this gym to anyone and everyone - it will cost you about $150.00 a month for a single person and $240.00 a month for a family. Everything is included except personal training and Pilates classes (cost extra). Oh... I agree the child care is for kids under 7. My kids get pretty bored up there especially when they don't have the door to the gym open so they can play B-Ball or something. Not sure what to do about that - LVAC is boring too for kids. And they cant really work out with you till they are 12. So no real solution for that I guess. Anyway, I love Lifetime and based on the number of people I see there every day (and have for the past 2 years since we joined) so do a LOT of other people.

Victor Luo

I don’t ever write reviews because most places provide a basic level of competent support, but the customer support that I received from LifeTime was so atrocious that I would actively go door to door in the area and recommend people to never look at LifeTime. I walked in to discuss whether it was possible to do a month long membership since I was only in town for a couple of weeks. A rep came down and said sure, that would be possible, and we went to up to the rep’s office with my brother to discuss the rate. The rep said it would cost around 150 dollars, and that I would pay 140 immediately and then around 10 for the prorated monthly cost from Jan 24 - Jan 31 (Dec 23- Jan 31 length of membership due to their 30 day policy). The 140 dollar charge went through on my credit card immediately on Dec 23. However, on Jan 1 there was a charge for 69 dollars for the monthly fee. Confused, I emailed the rep I talked to to see why this happened. After getting no response for 24 hours, I emailed again and she emailed me back telling me that the 69 would be refunded and not to worry about it. After two weeks, my card still has not been refunded. Again, I had to email the rep twice to even get a response, and all she said was “The 69 was the monthly fee.”, with no regard to our previous emails. I’ve emailed the rep back again explaining what we talked about in their office, but I suspect I’ll have to send another follow up email to even get a response. I’m shocked that a place that tries to put up a front of being a respectable business is so indifferent to their customers. The facilities may be nice, but if you ever have a problem that requires help from a customer rep, expect to never get your money back, or even a response.

I have good things to say and bad things to say. When I am reporting hearsay or conjecture I will make that known otherwise these are my experiences after a little over a year of membership. For the bad. This club is not properly maintained with regard to the aquatics facilities. The pools very rarely get vacuumed. I find band aids, hair bands, oogies and dead bugs in abundance. If the pools were properly vacuumed even twice a week there wouldn't be this much debris in the water. The hot tubs are maintained (drained and refilled) at times when there is high traffic which renders them too cool. For the longest time maybe 5-6 months when I would show up in the evening one of the hot tubs would not be open. It's just an unsatisfying experience. This is a premium gym and I pay premium dues my expectation is that all of the equipment should be maintained properly and in a reasonable time period. This is not the case. The sauna in the men's locker room was not working right for six months when they finally did get around to fixing it I was told that the thermostat was the problem. An inexpensive repair takes six months? for nearly the entire 15 mos. I have been a member the outside big sauna (on the indoor pool deck) has been running on one heater. I called in September to complain about a week later both heaters were working. This lasted for all of about ten days. At this point I have learned via the Pavlovian method to not complain or enquire as to when things will get fixed. The staff will talk to you but not say anything. It's an Orwellian experience, surreal. I think that at a premium gym all maintenance and repair should be on a schedule either in the gym or on the gym website. Another thing that has gone way down hill is the men's locker room cleaning. When I first became a member during peek hours there was always someone picking up dirty towels and making sure the shower stalls were free of trash like razors and band aids. Now it's hard to find a stall that isn't gross. To me a business that bills itself as a premium health club should have a higher baseline for facilities care, maintenance and cleanliness. They should as a matter of course make this information available to members. I can walk on a treadmill anywhere I come to Lifetime Fitness to relax in the hot tubs, swim in the pools and meditate in the sauna. All the things I have noted here would be much more tolerable if Lifetime was just open and honest about when things are going to be fixed. I am not really someone faint of heart or a germaphobe (sp?). I went to boarding school when I was young and I can function in a less than perfect situation. I am not angry or bitter about this but I am disappointed and want potential new members to know what they are getting into. If you take advantage of a trial membership make sure you visit the sauna and hot tubs and talk to members and ask if what I am saying is true. While I am sure that you will get a variety of responses when it comes to these things you will absolutely find long term members with the same and worse experiences. Lastly the good. I have found the employess of Loudoun Lifetime to be stellar people. They are hardworking dedicated employees. They have great attitudes and are friendly as you would expect at a premium gym.

$407/Mo for a family of six? Are y’all on drugs? Because apparently that just includes access, and all the other stuff is extra. That’s a ridiculous amount for the basic gym membership. My kids are little - they don’t need baby yoga.

Would give negative stars if that was an option. Been a member of Lifetime in Sterling since 2009. Have had an Onyx membership giving us the ability to visit gyms in the area including Reston. Found out today when new cards arrived showing Platinum on them that Corporate had downgraded our account due to lack of usage. Ummmmm excuse me?!!! What do they care how often or if we go to the gym or not -- we get billed every month so it is really none of Corporate's business. They get our $$$ so why do they care? Finally got to speak to a manager at the Sterling/Dulles location who assured me he would reach out on my behalf to see if they can change me back. Mind you I got zero communication or notification about this change that was made to my account WITHOUT my authorization or approval! I get emails from Lifetime all the time about Guest policy changes, letters come when our rates are increased, etc. Didn't hear squat from anyone at the gym about this. While I want to believe the manager that this is Lifetime Corporates doing, I am not so sure. My account got downgraded the same day we brought our now 12 year old daughters in to get cards - as we had been instructed to do within 30 days of them turning 12. Seems super shady and suspect! Was told by the manager/GM Chris that he would reach out on my behalf and have an answer no later than 48 hours. Times about up Chris! Most likely will leave but am going to give him a chance to fix this. Have also reached out to Corporate Membership customer service and no reply back yet. Beyond disappointed and pissed!

This is an amazing gym. It has every amenity you can think of and the staff is top notch. I want to give a special shout out to Nate Glover. I started training with him a few months ago with great results, but only just last week sat down to do a nutritional consultation. He really knows his stuff and I left with a very specific plan on what to eat, when, and why. We hammered out meal plans (including pre and post workout meals) and did some troubleshooting so I'm prepared for common pitfalls. A week later, the numbers don't lie and I couldn't be more pleased. I have done nutritional consults with dietitians at the doctor's office as well as other gyms, but this is by far the most helpful and useful one. Nate responds quickly with questions and checks in to see how things are going. With his knowledge and positive attitude, I'm staying on track and on my way to reaching my wellness goals.

For the high monthly membership charged, more would be expected from this gym. Several machines are broken, or not working properly, including cardio machines and weight machines. The men's locker room is dated, looks very worn and the floors are constantly wet. BIG annoyance: Personal trainers holding fitness classes, while simultaneously playing their individual workout music rather loudly. Their music, combined with music played over the gym PA system, weight area music and zoomba room music - all combine to create a very noisy and distracted gym experience.

Caroline G.

Surprised by the low reviews. We've come here for months and never had any issues with staff or lack of towels/soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion/mouth wash/ cotton balls/tissue swabs/ razors/shaving cream etc. Yes, they supply all of that. It's great and if you're a mom, like myself, showering here while the kids hang with an AWESOME day care staff is enough to sign up by itself. To address a comment about "nasty/needs remodeling" locker rooms- this is totally untrue. They aren't amazing but for a gym they're pretty darn good. Always cleaning staff coming through and the floors and counters are natural stone. The equipment is good, too, and there is plenty of it so you never wait in a line. Food is pretty good, as well, just a bit pricey. I always wonder if the cafe just lowered their prices a bit if they wouldn't be packed all the time and profits would increase. perhaps something to test... Preferably at the Fairfax location..just a thought ;) Overall, they get a 5 star for being a great way to start my morning routine, and hey if I actually work out sometimes too that's just an added bonus!

We have been members of LTF for 10 years at different states and we have visited this club 2 times after opening. Indeed the club is very nice and all is brand new equipment BUT our experience is VERY POOR with the particular club. Staff is unfriendly, they seem to be all stress out and they do not know what to do or to respond when a members need something or had an inquiry... The manager doesn't offer any solutions to a problem which would just disappoint you even more... This club requires a Platinum level membership which is the most expensive at LTF, even when it is not open 27/7 as most locations are, it is not as big as other locations and the staff is by far not platinum level...

Jessica Wilson

I just moved back to the area and looking for a place to go workout near my house so I figured I would check out lifetime since you hear great things about them well I thought! I normally do not write reviews but can I say this place based off costumer service wouldn’t get any stars if I had it my way! The tour guide was very judgmental I thought and definitely didn’t give me a fair chance! Keep in mind I am a marathoner and love to workout, sure I may not have the muscle definition like most but I am solid and my working cardio is a boss just ask my trainers In Myrtle beach! I can honestly say that if you like to feel judged then this place is for you! If you like to be extremely lost in a large facility then this place is for you! If you like to pay 94 dollars a month plus 60 dollar sign on then this place is for you! (I was quite appalled at how much this gym was, just for a gym!! I did CrossFit at ocean isle beach and Myrtle beach for 85 dollars a month) If you liked to be lied to about a three day trial pass that will be emailed to you so that way you can see if you will fit in with the other members then this place is for you! Basically bottom line this place is 3 stars for a reason and honestly if your new to Raleigh do not waste your time at the fall of Neuse Raleigh location!! The sales guy that showed me around was basically a joke!!

Trainers are cool (shout out to Matt and Whitney), and they have some excellent equipment and facilities (still slightly overpriced), but my experience was constantly degraded by their Byzantine maze of apps; which is further confused by the complexity involved in cashing in on their "LT Bucks" rewards system--which is big focus of the sales pitch. The points were stupid hard to cash in for services through their bizarre maze of an online and App Store presence. The result was that I found myself constantly disputing my bills with them, and every single time I was found in the right after they uncover whatever slipped through the cracks of their apparently extremely inefficient enterprise architecture. This literally happened down to the day I canceled my membership (when they force you to come down into the gym just to sign the paper that you're canceling it, when they know they could just let you cancel it online) only to NOT ACTUALLY CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP and still charge me again the next month! Again, nice facility and the trainers and most of the staff were awesome (other than the sales people... sorry). But they have a serious issue at the corporate level (and probably local management-level, too) which not only completely failed to function for me as user of their various systems, but also trickled down into some bizarre micromanagement of the practices that their trainers had to use. For example, my wife and I partook in a one-to-few bootcamp style training sessions which were great (other than billing woes, of course), but one day the trainer made us do like a rally cry chant-a-ma-gic. Literally not one of the 5 members in the class wanted to do it. We're out in the general workout areas where people are trying to get their reps in... as am I... and I'm not really looking to spend any amount of it trying to advertise your paid programs by awkwardly shouting team in the middle of that soccer mom over there's little 1 hour of freedom in the day. Haha. Update: they have now charged me for two consecutive months after my having to come back into the gym twice in order to cancel my membership. And they still haven't given me the refund for the first month.

The classes are so great - I like to mix things up and Life Time is continually offering fresh classes that maximize workouts. I also love that i have zero mommy guilt when I leave my child at their new Kids Academy, which is included with memberships - while I'm working out my four-year-old son is learning Spanish and doing arts and crafts. Amazing.

First, please know that I spend most of my days at my home in Barcelona or London. It was recently necessary for me to travel the Colonies to expand some luxury real estate investments. I obtained a month pass for around £150,00 from a minstrel-like man working at one of these similar facilities just outside of New York, in Jersey. Recently, I had the displeasure of speaking with the manger of this facility (Raleigh, North Carolina, America). He is a little brown fellow by the name of Derek and with a peculiar plebeian-esque surname that cannot be recalled at this moment, I do beg your pardon. I initially noticed his extremely cheap suit and tie and marveled to myself, "What sort of facility is this?!" Of course that is a rhetorical question as one actually calls on the facility with their own eyes; the pedestrian cuts of granite and wood are atrocious and tragic. Yes, it does seem as though Mr. Dictionary has escaped me once again; however, it is excruciatingly difficult to accurately describe something so pedestrian without using pedestrian words. I am a lady that typically attends an Equinox fitness facility and this facility they call "Life Time" is large but not of luxury or sophistication. The cheap towels are an immediate giveaway that you're in a facility frequented by the lower classes. Of course, one would immediately quip, "But, Olivia, the monthly fees are not what the lower classes can afford!" I learned that this facility charges around £70,00 per month. That's barely the £700,00 per month that Equinox in Kensington (London) charges. So, my dear friends, I beg that you poor little things in North Carolina, America, learn what luxury and exclusivity actually are. Finally, I found the equipment to be quite vulgar and poorly maintained. Certainly, a facility that charges so little could not possibly afford adequate servants that are accustomed to actually cleaning for a living. Instead, you'll find miscreant transients working here merely for whatever minuscule tokens they can scavenge from the equally as vulgar manager. The patrons at the facility were equally as vulgar as the equipment. I dare say I have servants and gardeners in Spain that have better social graces and appearances than these, dare I say, people. During a bout of insomnia mixed with a hint of jet lag, I had my driver bring me to "Life Time" at 9:00 in the evening. It was a Tuesday; I experienced what it must be like to be incarcerated in a Colonial house of correction. The patrons were of street-level quality and were dressed in the sort of thing you may tragically be witness to if people were to be rescued from a hurricane or war-torn territory. I quickly performed a 25-minute mountain climb on the poorly cleansed TechnoGym cardiovascular device, complete with air circulator clogged with lint and assorted other unmentionable debris. After, I quickly summoned my driver to hastily whisk me back to The Umstead, a mediocre hotel that I will also review in short order. No wonder why the Queen, God save her, gave up on these here colonies.

The fact that it’s open 24/7 is nice and allows me to come early in the morning maybe after a night in dc and I just wanna relax in a jacuzzi or to work out my stress. I love coming here and the food is decent although a bit pricey.

Jay Andre

Price is high of course but I joined. On my third visit another member or the locker room attendant broke into my locker and stole my wallet. Not good! Reported the incident to Management but they never got back to me. There are plenty of other good Gym options in the area which do not have these problems.

Rosemarie Tunick

David Connor is the best instructor!i only get up at 4:20 for his class. Even in the summer when I don’t have to. !

I've been a member for 2 years. The pools are most of the time taken by the Swim Team for their classes with children. And I have expressed my concern to the mgmt but they haven't done anything

My family and I have been members at Lifetime for over 8 years and the gym facilities are great. However, today my mother and I tried entering the gym and my membership for some reason came up as terminated (I had paid for this month). The employee at the front desk (Kannice) was very rude and unhelpful when we tried to resolve the issue. She didn't allow us to enter on a guest pass and even accused us of trying to cheat the system. After being with Lifetime for so long, we were shocked at how rudely she denied us access and refused to work with us.

Willie Diaz

This is the right place to get fit and you wont be disapointed. Recommended.

Morgan Trisher

Do not give your money to this club. This location has a slew of issues far beyond repair. Let's start with the fitness floor. Between 4am-10pm, there is always a trainer taking space on the floor to train clients, mingle with each other, and play on their phones. Specifically, you have Oliver, Ian, and Jared all trying to one-up each other on the squat rack. How do I know there names? They won't stop showboating. This is daily. Machines are not 24-hour accessible and lifetime holds machines for the members who pay extra for classes. Its ridiculous to not be able to get a treadmill because a class has it reserved. I do prefer treadmills that are close to the air vents to get circulation and unfortunately, those treadmills have cards on them indicating hours that they are only in use for classes. What else? 1st floor. The kitchen has frozen foods and they advertise "of it is here, it is healthy." WRONG. Most entrees are frozen and placed in a toaster oven: pizza, sandwiches, chicken tenders. Female locker room infested with dirty towels, smells awful, and cleaned with watered-down cleaners. Shampoo is also your body wash. CHEAPSKATES. 3rd floor sucks. Courts taken up by Uhoops or pickup games constantly running during peak hours. Not very family-oriented as lifetime advertises. I do not recommend the child care as employees did not take care of my 3 year old. Came back with scratches and bite marks. No one said a word. Spoke to manager Erin and she dismissed my issue saying my child never complained and that she watched her whole time. YEAH RIGHT. Everything about this place is bad. Go somewhere else for workouts and daycare.

Charles Whitaker

I normally use Columbia facilities but this location has newer and nicer equipment. Very clean and friendly staff.

Antonio Gutierrez

Great facility, activities, and service for all ages and fitness levels.

Miklos Kiss

I have been a member for over 7 years. The gym itself is great with lots of equipment. Some of the staff is rude. The gym has an air of pretentiousness, but that is expected because it is located in a super zip. The top management is especially pretentious and self-absorbed. They seem bent on selling "personal training services" and merchandise. The Zen aura of the Lifetime founder, seems like nothing but a marketing campaign. They talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. I love the pool and there are plenty of nice customers.

sibrab subba

I have been member of Lifetime for more than 5 years. I consider their facility and equipments to be top notch before. Recently, there has been decline in maintaining of their equipments. For example, basketball rims have been shaky and crooked for almost 3 months, and no one seems to care to fix them. I even called LT and wanted to give them heads up about basketball rims, but with absence of GM, I was only able leave her a VM. I would have understand if it was an average gym. However, when you charge almost one hundred dollars and serve subpar facility, that is not tolerable and shameful. Recently, there has been decline in the hospitality from front desk who acts more like gym police than gym friendly front desk that they were before. Not sure it is because of the management change or something ?

Elizabeth Small

Bob is very unprofessional & he needs additional training. I arrived on time and expected to receive a guest pass, to view a personal training class because I wanted to join because the Personal Trainers are known to be AMAZING & very PROFESSIONAL, however after sitting in the guest area, for almost 15 minutes I never received the pass & it’s been an hour and I still haven’t received the pass. This was a complete waste of my time & certainly not the level of service that I expected to receive.

Eric Boyette

I use to think very positively of lifetime. I had a great experience in the club, the trainers were nice and staff was helpful. All the way until I moved for work and need to cancel my membership. Apparently to do that you have to go to a location in person (hour+ drive me for now) or write a letter. Literally the only options. This is the single experience that will define lifetime for me now. I would have gone back in a heartbeat if I lived closer up until this. It's silly policies like this that make it unnecessarily difficult to accomplish a simple task.

your mother

All I know is that Bob, a man who works their, sucks! He ruined my experience of ever becoming a member. Now, I will take my money to Planet Fitness instead.

Douglas Schultz

I absolutely love this gym and everything that it offers. Great workouts to keep you going .

Sarah Chastain

To be honest I'm giving it two stars because it is a really nice facility and has a lot of great amenities but that's where the good ends for me. I was a member at a bronze level club in Charlotte and I LOVED it. I had to move for work and the club in Charlotte arranged for me to meet with Jamie and get transferred over and when I went in Jamie brushed me off (he didn't even so much as introduce himself even tho I went in and asked for him like I was told and walked right by his office), a guy came out and told me that no I was waiting for him not Jamie without even telling me his name, I was charged differently than I had been told, they tried to push a trainer session on me even after I explicitly said I was keeping my trainer in Charlotte via their online program, had I not been talking to one of the people from LTF in Charlotte during the meeting checking on what had been set up then they would not have remotely done what they told my club they would for me, and during the tour I got the distinct impression that they rely on the size of the club and the amenities to draw people in as the guy with me kept asking 'so what do you think? I know it's overwhelming.' I joined LTF to get in shape but I met amazing people there in Charlotte, people who treated my son and me like family, this club treated me like an account and had that been my first experience with life time I NEVER would have joined and I left pissed off rather than excited to come back. I'm only staying so that I can keep my trainer in Charlotte and work out there when I go to visit. This has been the first week I've ever dreaded going to the gym. My small box beats out your big box where it counts and that's people. And side note, as a single mother, the fact that your kids academy closes at 830 mon-thurs and at 7 on Fri?! Really? So I get off work, pick up my son and have to hope I can complete a decent work out before you close and Fridays are out completely. Again coming from a bronze level that stayed open til 9 mon-fri.

Constant problems

Heather

Locker rooms and spas were excellent and very clean at all times of the day. Biggest problems are the price for a membership and with the Lifetime Bucks they are always wanting more money out of your pocket even though you have enough bucks to cover the service.

Kelly Fontes

Facilities are great, plenty of machines, showers and steam rooms are constantly cleaned. The kids center is great, and they have activities for kids all the time, kids rock climbing, kickball.. older kids are usually in the gym area playing. Unless you teach your kids to sit by the MAC all day then they will do that there too. My kids are always in kids night out because we don't wait until the last second to to everything. Yes if fills up just like kids AYSO, baseball, basketball, football, etc. You have to sign up as soon as it opens. Indoor and outdoor heated pool to swim in. Yes there are problems like anything else, but no other facility comes close.

Darryl

Good Gym, but you will donate a arm and an a$$ to stay a member each month.

Ehsan Javadi

Great gym to work out

Diane Michot

I really don't get the negative reviews. This gym is amazing. I never have trouble getting a seat in spin class, the barre class is terrific, and the pools are clean and not too crowded. There are peak times, yes, and you may have to wait a little to use what you want or get a swim lane after work, but that is true for any gym. I work out in the early morning during the week, and I never have issues getting a swim lane without waiting. The dues are high, but you do truly get what you pay for. Going to this gym is like going to a spa. It feels like a treat every time, so for the good it does my health and wellbeing, it's a bargain.

Ok, so I am new to Raleigh and North Carolina. I moved here from Dallas, where we have Equinox as well as Lifetime. At one point, I was a member of both and it worked out just fine. In all, I was paying over $230 in health club dues. I joined at this Lifetime last week and this whole experience makes me seriously miss Equinox. Lifetime is nice to look at and it's humongous but it all comes at a price. First, this Lifetime carries the Lifetime Athletic name but it isn't a diamond health club, so shampoo and body wash, just the cheap foam that even an LA Fitness has. If you subtract the winding staircase, the granite locker benches and the nicely tiled floors, you are left with an overpriced cafe with mediocre food, a childcare center and an over sized cardio area that watches the basketball courts. The front desk girl at night is a nightmare to deal with and is either always having a bad day or her face is just stuck on RBF. When I changed my schedule and came in the day time, the lady at the front desk said I should speak with the manager, Derick. Everything I mentioned to Derick was like it fell on deaf ears and he was typing the entire time and barely understood what I was saying. In the end, he assured me he would talk to the employee who he called Robin but he also said that she was exceptional and tried to blame me in a condescending tone! Wow! The employees all seem to have an attitude like they're working for God himself. I don't get it, this is a health club not a night club! Back to the facility, the women's locker room is clean but the ladies working inside of it are kind of shady despite them being nice. There are little rooms where you can change in private which is a nice touch. Upstairs, there is a lot [read: too much] of cardio equipment and it takes up more than half the floor. The exercise machines are limited in number and the brown Technogym machines are all semi broken and wobbly. I'm planning on quitting Lifetime in Raleigh because it just plain sucks a lemon. Lifetime was and is much better in Texas, but this review sorely points out how Raleigh needs something actually upscale like Equinox. Lifetime, you need to seriously talk to your manager, Derick.

i really love this gym, but some of the staff here is just pathetic. I wanted use my guest pass on my mom so she can bring my brother (He is adopted so he is a different ethnicity as me) and the lady in the front automatically assumes that i am lying and constantly throws questions at us making us look bad. This was very unprofessional and made my brothers visit here very unpleasant. Way to ruin what was supposed to be a fun day at the gym. Well Done.

I have been shocked when I into the pool room. Is this diamond club by life time? no, may be just equality or worse than goldClub. Also locker room doesn't have key, how do I remeber my locker number if i forget ?

Unlike the first review that was written with a one star, my experience has been very good. I have been out of the gym scene for years now. From the time that I inquired about membership through my first time using the gym this past week, I have had nothing but a great experience. Oh, with one minor exception, there was an issue with my debit card in the cafe which the manager stepped in and promptly handled. I love the size of this facility and the amenities. The first reviewer wrote about this facility not being 24/7. Well, it's 4 a.m. to 12 a.m. which should cover most people. Since I got in as a founding member because I inquired in time, I cannot speak for how the membership compares. I just know that my wife and I believe that the price we pay for a facility like this is within our budget. You should at least tour the facility and form your own opinion. As for me, I have to get my butt in there and get back in shape.

facility is quite nice so it is up to the individual to decide whether it is worth $160 a month. i personally felt is was more of an $80/month gym. i am giving it one star b/c of it's deceptive billing practices. i was assured it was a month to month contract and could cancel anytime. i canceled in the middle of the month due to the gym's cost and location (it was adding 30 minutes of driving to my day). i assumed i could use the gym until the end of the month, whereupon my credit card would not be rebilled. not so. i was informed i would be charged an additional 30 days. of course they don't need 30 days notice to cancel an account. it only takes 1 minute in front of a computer. when asked why, they just kept parroting "it's the policy". it is a very deceptive and underhanded way to extract more money out of people. i would discourage anyone from joining for this reason alone

This is a great gym don't get me wrong here but the price is off the roof $120-$160 per month!? I called them and asked that I just wanted to use the weights and the running machines and maybe the steam room and that was all but he kept insisting that the $120 price was perfect for I understand he was doin his job but $120 is just to much. I'm just trying to lose weight not get married with the gym and give $120 for just for just may 6-10 days a month but to each its own I hope their prices go down just a little :(

Lippman Media CEO

I canceled my membership last year. They started billing me again last month. I spoke with Curtis 5/19 and he had me email Corey to get it fixed. Corey never responds and they have continued to charge me. Don’t join unless you want to have to cancle your credit card to cancle your membership

James Dean

Lifetime Summerlin is the worst. I signed up to use the basketball courts and this league called Ultimate Hoops has Mondays reserved for the court. That is fine, except, when I go other days, Uhoops reserves both courts the same day and informs members through a sign that is ONLY at the club, AN HOUR BEFORE IT STARTS. Completely ridiculous. They send me emails about the pool closures but not about Ultimate Hoops. I'm sick of their court scam. They had a turf field but took it out because they wanted to make money off these B.S. bootcamp classes. They should have left the turf field alone which would have given space for me and many other members to work out, while they still would have been able to do their classes. Instead, this club is money driven first. Furthermore, the employees should worry about their bank accounts and not Lifetime's. Lifetime trains them to be so entrenched and focus on customer service, that the employees forget that they are being blackballed by the company. Talk to the employees, they make minimum wage and work over 40 hour weeks. Sales, managers, and trainers feast off of their entry-level employees. Do not support this trash company that enslaves employees and nickel and dimes members. Complete B.S. will not join the league, quitting, reporting to BBB, and posting reviews everywhere.

Greg Martinez

Great gym! Lots of equipment and it's clean!!

Everything except the quotas...I'd still be working there!!! The sandwiches were too good & I STILL wear the >$200 watch I won :-)

Bad advertising! You see that beautiful pool they use front and center in their advertising? They don't tell you that you are not allowed to swim in that pool after work unless you are a kid on the swim team. On Tuesday nights they have swim meets taking up all six lanes. On weekday nights they have swim practice taking up half of the lanes, so adults have to double up and swim with someone else in a crowded Iane. Wish I'd known before I agreed to join that I would not be able to swim after work. All winter I looked forward to swimming laps in summer, but now I can't use the pool to swim laps unless I take time off of work – that is wrong and defeats the purpose!

lindsey mackay

A few years ago i was given a price (from a sales woman) for a lifetime membership. Assuming the company would LOVE free advertising from an excited new member, i told a few friends about my deal. Shortly after, i received a threatening email to "keep my mouth shut" about the "deal' i was given because they could not honor that deal to anyone else (trust me, with how crazy expensive this place is..it was NO SPECIAL DEAL). I was being the bigger person and didn't respond to the childish email. I showed up to the gym the next day with my kids to workout and visit the kid center. My pass was rejected by the manager and they told me my membership had been cancelled since i told too many people about "my deal" and they had to turn others away. I was shocked...and humiliated in front of my kids and other members. I felt like the deal i got was NOT MY PROBLEM, it was the sales womans problem who quoted me a price. Bottom line is, the management at the time was terrible and did not care about the costumer, obviously. The money was much more important. The manager has since moved on to another gym and i received phone calls begging (from the same sales woman) for me to "re-sign up at the going rate now that the specific manager was gone." Um....no thanks. and next time, i will tell all my friends how crappy i was treated. Mmmkay buh bye.

Great features including hot tub, sauna, steam room, pool, free weights, cable machines, tins of cardio, and trainers who know what they are doing. It would be terrific of there was one located in East Wake County.

I love this gym...very clean, lots of classes, huge outdoor pool. Friendly staff...the Zumba and Latin Fusion classes are awesome! Ran (Mon & Sat Zumba) is the BEST!!! The childcare center is clean and offers a good selection of activities for the kids!

It's SMOKES LVAC, 24HOUR and GOLDS. Yeah its more expencive, bu the high price keep "those guys" out of the club. Garage parking is the stuff in the middle of summer. The locker room looks like it belongs in a country club, but the best thing of all its busiest time of the day is 10 tomes better than most clubs slowest time of the day.

I have been a member since they opened (at this location) and I'll echo the majority of sentiments made by other commenters...the facility itself is clean, well maintained, and the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate requests. The Kids Academy is well handled with a courteous staff that approaches situations with respect and grace. I've found that most of the complaints about the Kids Academy are usually the result of helicopter parents whom speak to the staff in an indignant and contemptuous manner. There is one point of contention raised that I would agree with...the use of lap lanes at the pool(s) are seemingly controlled by a capricious individual as I can be pulled out of a lap lane at any given moment to make way for a swim test or "reserved activity".

This is the first time I have ever written a bad review anywhere and I'm doing it because I am so angry about how my three year old child was treated today at the children's center. I decided to go with a close friend and her daughter today to check out the children's program. I will say that this was the biggest draw for us since they have STEM, music, sports, ect, classes for children. Today we wanted the kids to attend the soccer class so my friend told me she usually goes in and waits until the children line up with their activity. The children were called over to the center ranging from about 3 to 13 years of age, there were probably around 30 children all together, it made me a little concerned because no one really had control over the group. It didn't seem like any of the child care workers were very experienced in working with large groups of children. My friend asked if our kids were supposed to have been given a wrist band for soccer when we checked in. He said that yes, they were supposed to have gray ones, and my friend went to get them and we put them on the children. They called the older kids to their activity and then they called our kids soccer group. We lined the kids up. Then they called another group to line up and my son got confused and started going the other direction with the new line. I waited a few seconds but the instructor didn't even notice she was losing one of the kids. I put him back in the line and explained to him he needed to stay with the soccer line and his friend. After that it seemed like they would be headed to go play, not wanting to get in the way, we said good by and left. Fast forward an hour later (how long the class is) we came back for our kids. My friend mentioned that they may not be done yet. I started looking around and saw my son in the large play indoor structure. Confused I called him over, and he seemed super relieved to see me. My friend asked my son where her daughter was and saw she was in the play space for younger children. At this point I started looking at the ages of the kids in the play area where my son was and they were way older than he was. Like 6 to 7 possibly older. So, at this point my son says, "mommy, is it time to go play soccer now??!!" And I asked, honey didn't you already go play soccer? And he said, "no". So I direct my attention towards the child care worker my friend was speaking with and she was saying how her little girl was crying at first. Then I asked her and she explained that my son cried very briefly when we first left. And I asked her why he wasn't taken to soccer and she seemed confused, and then looked surprised he had a wrist band. What business do they have watching children if they can't keep track of them???!! I wasn't notified they kept him out of soccer (probably because they didn't realize that was where he was supposed to be). And my son told me that the big kids had been pushing him when he was going through the tunnels. My son is tall for his age, but who puts a three year old to play on a climbing play area with children that much older than them? And they were not being monitored on the play area when I walked in. Needless to say, I will be joining AE finnely YMCA when we join a gym. At least I know if he's in a class there he will be looked after and safe with children his own age. And not that it really matters but the guys working in the cafe were suuuuuupeeer unfriendly. The only truly nice person was the lady at the front desk who had great customer service.

The music in the Men's locker room could not get any less masculine. I think they might have us men confused with 16 year old girls. Please consider lowering the music or getting rid of it if your corporate policy does not allow you to change the genre.

Typical large gym, you are nothing but a number or contract to the company. If you have any issues don’t expect reasonable customer service. All you will get is a headache and a lighter wallet. Go to a smaller gym where they care about individual people. Stay away.

I went to lifetime fitness in green valley about a year back on a 3 day pass and I believe I was racially profiled by the gym manager and his assistant. I asked to step off of the basketball court in the middle of a game and come down to an office where I was notified that a member suggested that I had stolen things from his locker. The manager then interrogated me on why a member would make such a claim and I replied I had no idea. He then searched through all of my belongings all to find no stolen items. I am an African American male and I do believe if I was a non minority person I would not have been treated this way. It was completely embarrassing. Would never return to this establishment. This place completely deserves every bad review it gets.

Will Houston

The Centreville location is better. I don't think Lifetime denies people memberships, which they probably should. It gets so crowded sometimes there's no room to think. Don't go on Saturday mornings/noonish, or you'll hate yourself.

Kaylee Sharp

The amenities are nice, however - The prices are outrageous. Many of the front desk staff just scan your card and don't even speak to you when checking in. The parking is nonexistent especially at night and on weekends. You have to reserve spin bikes 6 days ahead of time and even then, you sometimes have to sit on the waitlist just for people to not show up.

I signed up back in Nov 26, 2018 when they had a Cyber Monday sale where they waived the sign up fees. The manager that signed me up is named Luis. He promised me $50 in LifeTimeBucks (LT Bucks) which is cash used for services within LifeTime. I was told it will take 2 weeks for the 50 LT bucks to show up on my account. Cool. I signed up with that in mind. 2 weeks later I checked my account and did not see the LT Bucks. I went in and talked to Luis who told me they hit the quota for this month to give out LT Bucks and told me to come back the next month and he would put it in my account. Okay, fine. I guess. Next month, I call and talk to Luis. I ask him for the 50 LT bucks that he promised me. He said absolutely and will do it now, but I had to wait 8 days for it to show up. I waited 9 days just be to sure. I checked my account and nothing still. I've called at least 5 extra times in between Nov 26, 2018 until now Feb 22, 2019... 3 months now where I would call and be told by the front desk people that he will call me back or they would redirect me to his office line where I would leave voicemail messages for him and never hear back from him. Be wary of the manager named Luis. This is no longer about the 50 LT Bucks, but the shady business of signing people up with false promises. I tried giving him benefit of the doubt for literally months, but now I want to warn others of Luis and other managers like him of their shady business practices.

In a very rude tone, was told that I couldn’t bring outside food or drink into the club and that I needed to go outside (in 100 degree weather) to eat. Asked if I could eat in the lobby because of the heat and was told, “you need to go outside or throw your food away.” Saw multiple people walk into the club after me with food/Starbucks. If you’re going to be rude and a stickler for the rules, at least be consistent about it. Had another incident where I injured my finger on site and the people at the front desk literally could not care less. I told them I jammed my finger and needed ice. They told me I could wait in line at the cafe to get some. Really?!? Not one person asked if I was okay, no incident report was filled out, etc. Do better, life time. The bottom line profit isn’t the only thing that should matter.

This place is a cheaply gilded pile of garbage... Everything is designed to look and sound great when you are on your tour. Then you start going there to use the place and none of the great amenities are available except at high peak times. Want to go rock climbing? Open a few hours a week. Your kids want to use the outdoor pool... Open only when school kids are out for summer or on weekends. Kids want to go on the water slide? Have to go back inside and beg staff to come out and turn it on. Answer is often “sorry, we don’t have enough staff right now”. Enjoying playing in the outside pool? Be prepared for frequent fifteen minute “safety breaks” where the pool is cleared so the one lifeguard on duty can go on break while everyone sweats in the sun waiting for them to come back from their break. Oh, and I haven’t even gotten to the best part... When you finally realize that this place is a scam and you call up to request that your membership be cancelled, “sure, no problem... Please send us a letter through CERTIFIED MAIL to cancel.” Are you kidding me? They say this is “for your protection, so you have proof you cancelled.” Oh, what about email? “Ummmmmm, sorry you have to send a certified letter or drive down and appear in person for what is essentially an exit interview where they only let you cancel after they try every tactic they have in their playbook to try to retain you... When I went in to cancel there was a woman who had driven all the way from Los Angeles to cancel... She was pissed!

I am paying $300 per month for a family membership when my kids can not use anything. My five-year-old wants to practice basketball and there is a big basketball court that has 8 feet hoops opposed to the normal 10 feet one so I walk into the kitchen and ask if my son can play on the score which is completely empty and they said that it's close for free play and that the kitchen is closed on Sunday when there's other kids In the kids are and there was an employee working. Why would it not be open for free play if there is no one else playing basketball and the parents are here to watch. He wants to practice for his basketball games on an 8ft hoop. I am so done with this place. I cancelled once and came back. I am so done.

This club ROCKS! The management, the trainers, the people are amazing. Derek Nereu, Cathy K., Marcy B., Robyn Z., Cami M., Bianca P., Ryan Z., and the rest of the incredibly helpful and cheerful staff are at your service. I've read some of these reviews that have less than 5 stars and I can tell those people that they need to start their own business and deal with the General Public, they'd run a 1 star facility and that would be hard for them to maintain. Here's the deal. IF you are responsible. IF you are a Team Player. IF you aren't whining and complaining all the time, this club is for you. The staff is great, there are some members though who should not be members here because they're not only rude, they don't belong in a place that is specifically meant to make you a better, healthier, and more pleasant person. You're joining to push yourself out of your comfort zone, become a better person, live life like you mean it. That's what working out does for you. It inspires you to be a better person. Of course, if you take offense at this 5-star review and you're negative all the time, this is probably not your place. Lifetime's motto is to have happy, pleasant and positive people in their club.

Awesome gym, always clean, employees are great but they always seem like busy bees. Locker room is clean, the group classes are amazing. Love all the yoga classes. Love the Kids Academy, they have a variety of classes for kids to try. The swim lessons are a bit expensive though.

Elene Asefa

Horrible Place! It’s all about money.

Cecile

Too expensive for a local person.

Could be a great club since it is huge. However... If you are going there to do any working out other than cardio, you will be disappointed at best. They only have 1 of most common machines. 1 smith machine, 1 leg extension machine, etc. For some strange reason they have 5 or 6 powerlifting station racks (as if this were a crossfit gym). Most of the time, these stations are being used for curls and other exercises they were not designed for. The facility is horribly oversubscribed. There are way too many people trying to workout on the limited equipment selection. I spend the majority of my workouts waiting for machines. To make things worse, they have trainers employed which people can pay extra for. The trainers cone off machines for long periods of time and follow no gym etiquette. Once one was leaning on the smith machine while his client was doing pushups on the floor nearby. I asked if I could use it and he told me no. His client would be using it in a little while. 15 minutes later his client was still not using the machine and he was still leaning on it. I could go on, but I think most will get the point. For nearly 5 times what normal, better equipped gym charges ($150 month for 2), I expect better...

James Flanagan

Great Club, lots of choices for classes.

If you forget your card apparently you have to go home and get it because they can't look you up (even if you have a photo in the system ) This occurred 9pm 8/3

Cleanest, most customer service orientated gym I have ever belonged to. Trainers are enthusiastic and top notch.

Our family of 5 does just about everything at this gym. I absolutely LOVE the spa; the ladies there make me feel at home. I get my nails, hair, massages, waxing, and tinting all at the Lifetime spa. My boys (17 & 18 yrs) spend nearly everyday there and it keeps them focused in positive ways. We have all taken advantage of the personal training and it has kept us going when we have hit a plateau. We eat at the cafe frequently, although I will say that the corporate controlled pricing is really a turn off. We arent in L.A. Or San Fran... so I think they lose alot of business because of that. They randomly raise spa prices too. This isnt a reflection on the local gym though, it's corporate. I am surprised that people even think about the color of benches... really people? If I could change anything, it would be to get more racks and not have the group fitness use up all the cardo equipment during peek hours. Other than that, this health club is a part of our lives and has changed the way we eat, spend time together, and think about our self images. You will not regret joining this club!

Great gym, but just okay customer service. C'mon guys, I really, really want to believe in you, but it's soooo hard sometimes!

Lifetime athletics has an amazing facility on Falls of the neuse road with great employees who are always helpful and kind. Stop by for a quick game of basketball on their double full courts or for a swim in their huge outdoor pool. Fun for family and friends.

Kelly Elly

I love this gym but the daytime greeter is just unhappy. He will never say hello as he checks your membership. For all the d#%€ money we pay I should see a smile with all his teeth!!!!

Steven Amacker

I cancelled my membership a year or so ago because the attitude of the staff and General Manager were awful. Customer service in this facility is ridiculous and warrants attention from the investors. The towel people are really nice and I wonder why the rest of the staff is so arrogant. I was previously a member of another Lifetime Fitness center that was outstanding. Like anything else, the attitude of the leaders dictates how the employees treat the customers. I liked the locker room and the services provided however I must be old school because I just can not put up with extremely poor customer service and a rude/arrogant General Manager.

katt cofer

I've there twice now and had two different people for hair and one for nails. All three were excellent! Friendly, experienced and very resonreaso proces. The last time I went was to get my fair fixed after a bad color at another non-Life Time salon. They did an great job and gave me exactly what I was hoping for. Will be using this salon from now on.

my home away from home. no place is perfect but this place is money for me. indoor outdoor pools, relatively clean lockers, towel service, nice basketball courts. Im surprised people leave bad reviews, I have been going here for 7 years.

I was visiting from a platinum club and they welcomed me to this upper level diamond club. I enjoyed the equipment, workout, layout of the club and staff hospitality. The keyless Lockers are excellent! Thank you LT Vegas!

This place insulted me and my friend after a hard day of work. My friend is a member here and he brought me in as a guest. I have never had any issues coming in and all of a sudden this lady attendant said guests are not allowed in after 9pm. I have never heard of that and have never had issues. She started laughing and talking down to us and I told my friend to cancel his member right away. He pays 80 or 90 dollars for this and I have see better customer service at mcdonalds then this. Don't insult and humiliate the people who run your business. I have thought about getting a membership here, but NEVER in a million years will I give a dime to this place after the way that lady treated me and my friend. Her snobby and messed up attitude is exactly everything wrong in a place like this.

Khalid Abdulla

This is a very poorly run operation. Probably the worst run business I have ever seen. Many of the employees are incompetent. Customer Service is non-existent. For the price they charge - you are better off finding another gym. The building/facilities are great but thats about it. I tried to sign up for Personal training - never got a response. Right now I was trying to sign up for Basketball lessons for my son - again no way to get a response or get information. Imagine - customers are ready with wallets to pay but the business is so messed up that they cannot even find a way to take the business.

Mehrdad Rostamian

A bit pricy but all you can ask for an awesome gym it does.Very clean and friendly.

The gym is amazing, facilities are brilliant hands down, but, i would like to give a special mention to Mr Eric Wright, he went above and beyond to help me get comfortable and set in the gym, i want to recommend to any of you who are reading this, and are considering joining lifetime, ask for Mr Eric Wright and you will definitely be served the best experience you can ever be get no doubt! Thank you lifetime for the great workouts and Thank you Mr Eric Wright for all you helped me with!

This club could be better, when compared to other LTAs around the country. However, locally, nothing even comes close. An O² location was put out of business by Life Time (and they couldn't afford the new lease terms). I tried out that location. Great people (employees were terrible), awful facility and awful management. This LTA features all the typical Life Time staples but lacks the TechnoGym stairclimbers that even Cary has. There are many olympic lift platforms for your cleans, jerks and deadlifts. The bars aren't bent like at my former Sugarloaf and Atlanta clubs. There's really not much to complain about at this club nowadays. It was showing some sign or neglect but that has been fixed in short order. Isaac is always around fixing stuff like an Energizer bunny (say thanks to him next time you see him trying to figure out what's ailing your local treadmill). The only thing to be weary of are thieves. Don't leave belongings in your car, even if it's just an empty purse or book bag. Car break-ins occur frequently on a cyclical basis. This has been reduced by RPD & SHP using the parking lot for writing reports from 2000-0000.

Tom Winston

It's new and has some problem. Equipment is still flaky. Yoga program stinks. They have "their own brand of yoga", which includes rock and roll music and rap songs. Probably the worst yoga classes I've ever taken. And the towel...they've done a lot at this club to save money and it shows. Rough towels, water saving faucets and low paid employees.

Terez Ivy

Lisa Wardrop

Facility is clean. Cycle classes are always a good time. The cafe is good. Parking is ridiculous. Prices are expensive. You'd think there would be more cardio and weight equipment for such a large, overpriced place. The app frequently crashes or doesn't load your membership card. No one at the front desk knows how to answer any questions and when they transfer you to another department, it's a miracle if someone answers the phone.

Been coming here for years there is a new person named Maya she is very friendly

Absolutely love this gym!

Joy Hoffman

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would give this gym zero stars if I could. The management and member services are the worst ever. They do not care about their members as long as they get their money and are very rude when you have account questions and try to cancel your membership. They will talk you into trying to 'hold' your membership and then try to raise your hold rates without your permission and then when you try to cancel you hold because you don't agree to pay $30 a month for absolutely nothing, tell you are required to pay another month because they have to have a 30 day cancel notice for a hold that went from $10 a month to $30 a month without your consent or knowledge. I am now involved in a dispute with my credit card company because Lifetime drafted $30 without my consent for a Hold on my membership and basically laughed in my face when I confronted them about it...their attitude, "too bad, so sad." And told me they were drafting another $30 next month because of my obligation for a 30-day written notice. Their gym is not all that. They nickel and dime you for everything. The showers were dirty and half the time the hot tub did not work. Overpriced for what you get. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!

redfront99

Just beware when you sign on the membership form. They will rip you off using automatic payment on your card. They neither explain nor ask for your consent, not like other places. I wish I could give negative point if possible. Dishonest and sneaky. How can you expect good quality services from place like this?!. STAY AWAY FROM HERE AND JUST GET A MEMBERSHIP FROM Fairfax County Rec Center.

Armand Thierry

Nice facility, and with it comes the worst of the worst employees. The people at the check in desk are super rude, have had nothing but bad experiences with them, not once, not twice, multiple times, it is like going into a super security prison. And they certainly don't treat you like the customer that pays, they treat you as if you owe them something, including their super rude manager, NO RESPECT WHATSOEVER, they need to teach them that WE ARE PAYING FOR THE MEMBERSHIP AND WITH IT COMES RESPECT, and i have been a member for as long as they have been open, this place ain't cheap either, it is way overpriced. Home office needs to get rid of a few people !!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa Rose

Claims to be a 24 hr club but closed today for a kids birthday party and closed last week sunday for some BS staff meeting. As an adult i cannot get a decent workout here because the kids are sitting on the machines and playing around. Theres a limited amount of machines for glutes and abduction and its not fair that the kids are horsing around so i canmot do even one set. They have a separate kids area and kids basketball why do they shut the whole gym down? The general manager seems to be a complete douche bag who enjoys treating paying customers like garbage.

Hetal Mithani

robin greuter

Great gym, great classes and instructors. It's a 35-40 min drive for me, but the workout is worth it. I don't care much for the 'soccer mom' clicks but I've learned over my 20-30 years of working out that they are inevitable. Don't really care, unlike a lot of women there, my priority is MY workout. The reason for 3 stars...The cost of the membership is excessive. It was already extremely high when I joined, but I felt it was worth what they had to offer. However, the cafe is over priced, and the pool has kids running around everywhere. And... in a year my dues went up $8.25 a month! That is excessive, for an increase, in one year! And the real clincher, every time they have a 'special' class offer, like a different type of yoga class, they charge extra for members!! And it's not penny's they charge!! And the spa is overpriced too. I go to a different one. I get more professional service, and don't pay for the 'Lifetime' name. If my dues go up again within the next few years, I will cancel the membership. But for now I'm sticking it out because it's the closest gym to me with the best classes

Fairfax City Reporter

I am member in lifetime since 2014 , i love the GYM but recently they have a black girl in kids club that is unprofessional at all she is always have a sad face and yelling to the kids. My son want me to cancel the membership because of her. My son start to call it as aBAD TIME NOT LIFE TIME he is being mad because this girl always complains about his 3 years old brother and he got mad at her . My kids are so honest and friendly no one complain about my kids before at ALL even before she came to the club

C M.

Calling it a “Platinum” level Life Time is a stretch. It was originally a gold level when they opened but decided to make it seem more exclusive and raised the rates then neglected to make the facilities any better. Numerous lockers are routinely broken. There’s equipment that sits broken for weeks on end before being fixed and there’s extremely limited equipment to begin with. This definitely isn’t a gym for anyone who’s into bodybuilding it’s more a lifestyle gym where people just take photos of themselves for clout.

kennedysierra

This was the first week of my gym membership at Lifetime. Truly the best gym I’ve ever gone to

Calvin Anderson

Honestly this is a nice gym, they have a lot of different amenities and it's a nation wide gym so you can go to other locations in other states, but in my opinion it's better to just pay for a 20$ day pass when you want to go. The people who work here are most con artists. They get commission so they have the demeanor that if you don't sign up under them they aren't interested in talking to you, and the fine details of the contract are designed to completely screw you. There are little things like if the location you are going to is nicer than the gym yoilu signed up under, you have to pay more. Or you get three 1 day passes per month for friends and family, that can only be used on different people and after they visit they have to pay and if you show up past 8 o'clock they won't sign them up to visit for free. And have to be in person to cancel the membership, and even though they are 24 hours, if you don't show up during normal business hours you can't cancel. You have to also give them 1 month notice for cancellation, as if this is a job and we need to put in our notice. Just because a lot of places does this, doesn't make it right. I don't normally write reviews but I just called to try and cancel the membership and I asked about canceling over the phone as I am out of the country and will be for several more months, and she said the stipulations then said "well too bad for you but when you signed the contract you agreed to this" in a very condescending way.

Kamel Alachraf

My friend who is a member asked me to come to the gym with him. As we entered 9:45 pm there was a new guest policy that only allows guests to enter 5:00am to 9:00pm. I drove my friend to the gym so he lost his ride back home and I ended up having to leave. This is a beautiful facility which I was thinking about signing up. Never coming here again.

I've been member of various gyms and wanted to recognize Chris at the front desk. His kind friendly manners & smile combined with his class act customer service goes above and beyond my expectations every day. I am also very impressed with personal trainer Chris Taylor. He is a brilliant trainer. He takes time to build strong rapport with his clients to get to know their goals. Beside his knowledge and expertise he is personable and makes exercising fun. His encouraging, supportive and positive approach gives me confidence to reach my fitness goals. If you want to see results and reach your fitness goals I recommend booking a session with Chris Taylor. Thank you!

I am a member of this club and I am giving them one star. The reason is because I have been trying to set up a personal training session for the past two weeks. I have not received any contact to set this appointment up. I have left messages with two people over the phone. I have also left voicemail messages and I have called the club a total of seven times. It is a very busy club, but this is ridiculous. Also, when I try to send a feedback message on the website, it does not work. For $200 per month, you’d think the members could get better service. The facility is great. Staff is good for the most part when you’re in the club but don’t try anything over the phone unless it’s at the salon or the spa because your messages go into a black hole.

Pamela J. Watkins

I absolutely love this club. The customer service is exemplary. The staff is friendly, professional and quick to offer assistance. I managed health clubs for 15 years and I can honestly say this club sets the standard. Unfortunately I can not say the same about the Life Spa, just the opposite.

PA2283

Been a member for 3 years. Loved it. Clean gym. Equipment usually working, but never down for long if it broke. My problem is, I use mainly the cardio and weights. Used the classes less than 10 times. Never used the pools because I have a thing about public pools. Anyway, 80 a month was a stretch but the gym is clean and equipment always working. Loved the gym and the employees. But then an employee told me everyone's rates were going to increase and the broke people would be pushed out to help overcrowding (sauna talk). So then, I got a letter that my rate could increase to 95 a month (insert eyeroll). Soooo, I'm not broke.... but weights and cardio are not enough to justify 100 a month. So in an attempt to get 15 extra a month out of someone who never used the extras, your lifetime cafe is about to lose about 40 a month. And the people who I brought with me in the course of 3 years. Makes sense to someone on the top I guess.

Nice gym and facilities. Poor customer service when it comes to making arrangements to temporary suspend an account. Started billing us without warning and we ended up paying for 2 full months..$350 which we were unable to use the facilities; hardly fair and customer friendly. Good luck getting us back. I guess the $350 was worth it.

Nathalie Schmidt

Great gym but the customer service is poor!! It's a shame.... I don't recommend to sign up for anything other than the membership and that's it!!!

Leanna Rowe Cargman

We've been members for almost a year and are really happy with our experience so far. The yoga program is a good mix of classic and modern, the facilities are top notch and the staff are friendly and responsive. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that everything costs extra. Almost every month there's a huge push for a new program, or a car wash or a spa treatment. If you have kids, it's even worse. They have all kinds of fun parties, activities and even some classes, but you guessed it, they all cost extra. I just wish I could go to the gym without feeling like I'm being sold something.

The physical gym is pretty nice, and there is an abundance of equipment. However, the staff seems to have a hard time resolving issues with their clients. For quite some time I was seeing a personal trainer here that I really loved. Unfortunately a few months ago she had to quit, and I still had many sessions left to be used. I wasn't impressed with any of the other trainers in terms of their knowledge to help me reach my specific goals. I found my own PT on the outside, and asked for a refund or for a credit that could be used toward my monthly fees. Even though my PT quit, I was told that there was no way for me to use the hundreds of dollars I had already paid them. Eventually, I found another gym and quit. I turned in my cancellation letter, and was told that my membership would end by the end of the following month. To my surprise, it was not. I called and they advised me that it was because the letter had to be faxed or mailed, not handed in. Again, I faxed the letter and assumed it would be cancelled. It wasn't. I've called and was told that the new policy is that cancellations have to be mailed in via certified mail. I've called the GM over 4 times, and left messages, but like the rest of his staff, he seems incapable or returning phone calls. I definitely do not recommend doing business with this joint. I had to call my credit card company and provide them with documentation of my attempts to cancel in order for them to return my fees, because Lifetime has such poor business practices that they seemingly cannot work out issues with their own customers. Shame...

Cassy M.G

I wish I could give this no stars.. I had to cancel membership because I was leaving the country for family issues and they would not let me, instead they kept persuading me to get 15$ LT bucks which would carry on membership without having to forfeit the joining fee...so I could joint back when needed. I told them I minght not be back until 3-6 months. ( My father was sick - he could pass away etc) Even after requesting them, they refused to cancel membership and said they need a 30 day notice..that means paying 90 $ fee for an additional month without gym usage... are you serious?? They DID NOT tell me that when I joined!! I do not know when they made me sign because there were a bunch of paperwork!! ---> I ended up cancelling my credit card so I could slap them in the face before they deducted $$ (credit history is not a problem for me...I just did not want to pay up my 90 bucks for nothing). :)

I want to live in this gym!! I would love to have a membership but unfortunately I do not live in Vegas any more, nor is there a a gym remotely comparable where I live. When I visit Las Vegas (2-3 times a year) I always work out here. There is an amazing choice of workout equipment as well. Every time I work out here I feel as though I've had a great workout! I actually WANT to go to the gym! The staff and management have been helpful, courteous, accommodating and professional. The staff in the cafe has always been quick and friendly. Last year I had a session with a trainer who actually knew what he was doing! I usually have an after- workout smoothie Some day I'll try something from the grill! I have not taken advantage of all the amenities, but from what I know they are superb. Can't wait to go back in July!

I have been a member since 2012. It is a nice club but I have seen a few terrible changes that other members and myself despise. The first and most egregious is the changing of the kids academy hours, for some reason they have continuously shortened the hours. They now close at 6pm Friday , Saturday and Sunday . Why ? it is not lack of demand, it is clearly monetization . I know a few people that left over it . pennywise and pound foolish. .Another problem is there seems to be quite a few non members who use the club (they just put their possessions under benches since they dont have lockers) and a substanial percentage of the people pay less than full price. The management has changed at least twice (i think more) since I have been there. They all have their own spin on things. The latest version seems to have a love of redudant signs of rules that makes the place seem a bit pushy , authoritarian and annoying. They also have decided to place advertising everywhere to monetize every nook and cranny. Overall it is nice , but it has gotten worse not better since I joined. Maybe the next Manager will understand a lot of people join because it is a family gym , limiting the hours for children is a huge mistake . Feb 23 2019 it is 10 am and the child center is at capacity. My guess is the membership limitations have been removed since the place sold. It used to be 5k. No parking overwhelmingly crowded 300month

This gym is not just a gym. It really is a daycare for adults. It has pretty much everything you could ask for. The staff do a good job keeping things clean and that's probably the most important thing I look for in a gym. They have a lot of free weights and Olympic lift stations for squats and deadlifts. It can get really busy but members are pretty courteous and gym etiquette is actually a thing here. Try it out, if you have questions ask someone. #ExploreRaleigh

I have been a member of this club for a few months now. Though, due to a recent injury I have not been able to workout as much as I would like, every time I go it is clean and the availability of equipment is adequate- no waiting. My whole family goes there- wife has seriously gotten in shape and goes almost everyday. My daughter loves the Kids Place as she can take classes and have fun. It is a place we can all go. If I get bored waiting I head to the sauna, sit out by the pool, or get a smoothie, and wait till the rest of the family is done- all while surfing the wifi. I recommend the club for any family wanting a place where everyone can enjoy physical activity.

Howard Thirtle

Lots of classes & facilities here

Dave Whittemore

Great place to swim, the outdoor pool is amazing, join Dawn Patrol next year when they open the outdoor pool back up. I'd pay $1000/month for the right to reserve a pool lane. Plus it wouldn't hurt if they expanded to a 50m pool.

Coady Bragg

The facilities are really nice but the staff is not very good. They have poor customer service and are not military friendly. I do not recommend this place.

Adam Engel

This is a top notch facility with an EXCELLENT staff. It is clean, large and well maintained. Rick Westrich is a fantastic strength and agility coach focusing on reaction time and explosiveness. Dan Merold also really knows his stuff- he’s given me some great advice on training and stretching which, as a 43 year old guy has measurably improved my daily life. The quality of the facility and the attention to detail of the staff have made me drop my other gym membership. Thanks LT Loudoun!

Carter Smith

Definition of a 5 star gym. Expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. Any equipment you could think of, they have the top of the line. Staff is very friendly. Full sauna and hot tub in each locker room. Great indoor and outdoor pool. Best gym I've ever been to.

AshburnsVA AreaReviews

Love the hours, I can come in anytime and workout its open 24/7. Overnight staff are always cheerful and welcoming 5 stars to them alone. Inside Cafe (5 stars) always smells delicious and has all kinds of healthy goodies! Kidzone (5 stars) is great my lil one is upset every time I pick her up because she is not ready to go Staff is friendly. There are programs each day that children can choose from Rock Wall, Art, Music , Tumbling, etc. Cardio and Weights areas (5 stars) Plenty of equipment in each area state of the art. Group Fitness (5 stars) is Amazing Love Zumba with Ran and Yoga Restorative with Denyse. There is always Fitness Challenges that you can join on a regular basis. Aquatics (1 Star) Pool area can be kept up a lil better and the Aquatics staff, From the Aquatics Manager to the swim coaches,90% not so friendly,my children were in a program there not once did his coach have a conversation with me, no introduction, no feedback, just nothing, spoke to Aquatics Manager Tyler and he just was not open or receptive to my concerns, just kind of cocky, nothing changed, swim program needs work, seems that they keep your children on each level for extended periods of time to collect a check each month. That's how they get you low price monthly for swim lessons but little to no progression over each month. It should not take 3 years to finish simple swim techniques. I spoke to a few parents who had their children in this program have switched their children to other programs in the area even though it would have been more convenient to go to Lifetime. 2 Hot tubs inside 1 is always closed. If you just want to leisurely swim then yes its great Wish they had a tennis program that would be an amazing addition. OVERALL Love the gym would love to rate 5 stars but needs MAJOR Renovations with the Swim program, Swim Staff and area!

Rola Creswell

This is a nice gym and they have so much to offer, however, customer service can be improved. I’ve worked in the service industry for a while so I know how it is, and I still managed to put a smile on my face and treat people with respect. Please train your staff better. A little smile goes a long way! Just a suggestion.

Gym itself is not bad, but very expensive. I have been a member earlier for more than a year. I reached out again to get information and informed them I will only continue if my child is comfortable at kids academy. The sales manager called me on daily basis before joining. They charged me more than $150 initial investment although I have been a member before. Reason: "Its policy". The monthly due is similar. Then in 2 days, I realized neither my child nor my self is comfortable with Kids Academy. I mailed inquiring 14 days satisfaction guarantee. No mail for few days this time. I asked again. Then I was told for former members 14 days satisfaction guarantee does not exist. Reason: "Its Policy". I mailed General Manager of this location. No replies. Still want to join this gym? Good luck. I like the swimming pool here.

I go almost every day! This facility is just amazing, friendly hard working employees, and clean! I am totally addicted to Life Time Athletic Club North Raleigh! Try it!

Dolly Zaharoni

Membership that has it all: state of the art gym equipment, umpteen group fitness classes, yoga, pilates, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam rooms, Jacuzzis, cafes, kids club, and more... I love this place!

Mike Fischer

Great gym with lots of extras. Indoor and outdoor pools, massages, great food/smoothie bar.

Vivek Chulani

One of the smaller lifetimes I have been to but still a great gym. Lots of machines, a pool, hot tub, sauna, steam rooms, basketball courts and clean locker rooms. This is the first lifetime I've been to that offers free classes and that by far has been the best thing about the membership.

Nick Summers

For such a “luxury” facility, I didn’t expect thievery to exist here. My pea coat was stolen and minimum effort was shown by employees. Not just in this location but also at the Six Forks location. Update: I asked front desk a couple of days later and the lady said that they have been experiencing a rash of theft mostly in the men’s locker room.

Paul J

Updated: The gym itself is very good, led by a fine general manager. The facility is clean, there is constant effort to improve the programs and machines, the staff overall is friendly and professional. My comments regarding the swimming program are the same--and have only been confirmed with time. The program manager for the swimming program. . . . Post-Jason (former head) the swimming program tanked. Communication is as good as no communication. Instructors shift randomly, leaving the new instructor without any sense of what the student has been learning. Lessons are canceled with little or no communication. Most of all, little attention is given to quality and development. Program seems to be nothing but a cash cow for the gym. The gym itself is fine.

In the 11/24/17 thanksgiving day 4:30am 。It can only be said that we encountered a low-level ugly woman . Children could not enter before 10:00 o'clock, even we are members,my 6years daughter can’t use bathroom? Then the ID of other states did not accept it, even we can pay? Just want to tell the ugly woman, don't act like a snob.

If you have children who can swim WELL and have earned a bracelet from the Lifetime lifeguards themselves, they cannot swim in the 3 foot and lower shallow children's pool WITH a lifeguard watching unless you are within 10 feet of the children and are the PRIMARY person watching them. This is the most ridiculous policy I have ever heard. They say now they don't care about the bracelets at all in the winter. Well why the heck did the kids have to do the test then? I want to be doing my water walking or personal training in the same body of water with a lifeguard to watch them, like they do in the summer. Classic bait and switch since this was NOT the policy last winter. This policy applies until they are 12. Can you imagine being required to be within 10 feet of your 10 year old child in a 3ft and lower shallow pool? I mean really?? Already Lifetime does not allow kids in the hot tub, even with a parent present, which they say is for safety reasons but is ridiculous because NO hotel or any other gym has this rule. They have these beautiful pools and hot tubs but the "safety rules" are not logical. There is a lifeguard ON duty. Why can't I work out in the same body of water and let the lifeguard, who is a trained professional, be the primary watcher, as long as I am present in the body of water? I am ready to quit and go to Six Forks only or maybe even the Optimist Pool. The best parts of this Lifetime were Bryant (who left) and Madeline (who left) and Kids Academy (ok they are still great). The insane pool rules, that are NOT based on safety as they try to sell it, are going to drive a lot of moms away from this location.

Kathy ZJ

I enjoyed the group classes at this gym a lot. It has great programs in Zumba, yoga, strength training (e.g.C9) and studio cycle. I also enjoy meeting the other fitness enthusiasts there. They are a nice group, helping each other. Compared to other Lifetime fitness locations, this one is small, and it doesn't have a proper swimming pool for lap swimming. For that, I go to Centervill or Reston.

Tara Beauchamp

Expensive gym with not that much equipment. The weights are always taken. There is NO PARKING AT ALL - none. Spin class is fun if you can get a bike - good luck. Everyone reserves the bikes and then doesn't show up. I wish they had a 'women's only' spot like Gold's Gym does. For the price of $90 a month, there should be all of the above.

Patrick Graves

I was a member there for 2 years, forking over thousands of dollars to them. Upon having to quickly relocate across the country for a job, I had no choice but to cancel my membership via telephone. Mind you, I was on a month to month contract. So when I called to cancel my membership I was told that was impossible to do over the phone--because they were protecting me from my membership accidentally getting cancelled. I spoke to numerous employees including the manager, all indicating the only remedy was to cancel my membership in person or via certified letter. Well, it took a week for the certified letter to arrive back in Virginia and then my membership was finally cancelled. However, for some reason, Life Time feels they have the right to charge me for an extra month beyond the one in which my membership was cancelled. Draw your own conclusions about this business.

Thelma Evans

It is the best! Ima go there today and have some fun with my mum!

My 1 star rating is not indicative of the facilities. The gym itself is very good and there are always machines/weights to use regardless of the time of day. Same goes for cardio. The kids center is for younger kids. My daughter is 7 and is bored to death going there. Parents night out - forget it, wait all you want, you'll never get in. I rarely seem to get to use the basketball courts due to all the summer camps that are going on. The outdoor pool is great, my daughter loves the water slides. So, my reason for a 1 star rating. $217 per month for my wife, daughter, and I? An absolute joke. The staff at the desk are the epitome of rich snobs catering to those who drive their BMWs and the Mercedes to the club. I drive a Prius, and my car is WAY better than those BMWs, Mecerdes, etc. SNOBBY adults and kids. I can't stand the 12 year old trust fund snobs walking around the gym acting like they can do whatever they want because their dad is an attorney. The staff are trained to cater to money...this whole place is about money. I'm not rich, I'm a teacher. I joined because I thought it would be a healthy place to spend free time with my wife and daughter. We were treated like the scum of the earth by the staff from the day we joined to the day we quit because we don't have the kind of money the normal clients do. I now belong to LVAC. Guess what...no pool for my daughter, but the gym is WAY better, and the whole family gets to use it for $54/month instead of $217. So, if you're a rich snob who wants to act like a rich snob and hang around rich snobs and have a staff cater to rich snobs, then pay out of your back side and join Lifetime - you'll probably be very happy. If you're an average Joe, I'm not advertising for LVAC, I'm simply saying find somewhere else. We don't belong there and they make it abundantly clear. My final straw was when I called and asked to speak to a manager about an issue. An employee introduced himself as a manager and proceeded to act as a complete jerk and...and this is 100% the truth...called me a "dick". When I asked to speak to someone else, I found out that individual wasn't even a manager. Again, for us average individuals...you know, the ones who make a difference in the world, spend your hard earned money elsewhere. All you rich idiots who think you're better than everyone else can have this place. And for the rich idiots...I have a Ph.D...I wonder how many of them can say that? I just chose to use it to help kids rather be selfish. Please stay away from this horribly snobbish place!!!

Trevon Wright

Place is probably the best gym in the area, quality equipment, great hours suitable for all, the cafe has great food, staff friendliness is great, probably the coolest gym staff that I’ve ever had to deal with, & great members make it a wonderful experience. Don’t understand some of the other reviews & why they’re so low, because this gym is quality.

Alex Boyd

Signed up to try it on a pass. Never ended up going because i joined another gym. In the first week i got 15+ calls. Cut to a month later and I get 5+ calls a week. Terrible.

VERY pushy sales, otherwise this place is awesome, clean, modern, semi great workout. First visit felt just like going to a dealer to buy a new car..

I've been a member now for 6 months and I can't go without it. I go 6 days a week and I go at random times too. From the water slides to the full size basketball/squash/soccer/rock climbing area. It's fitness bliss.... OPEN 24/7

I love this place it makes me want to workout. My son loves all the classes. Great staff!!!

shubham goel

I called this fitness center to enquire about their pricing and so at the beginning I clearly mentioned that i want the pricing for regular gym where i can come and use machines and not for any fitness program or personal trainer. Despite that the person who picked the called kept insisting that this is the best gym and i will have to pay 89$ a month and I won't achieve my weight loss goal if i go to a gym where i can use machines for 20-30 bucks. He kept arguing with me even when i said repeatedly that i am looking for regular gym for 20-30 bucks a months and that i am not interested in their programs. God! That was terrible customer experience. Be aware people!!

Vegoose

Love this gym, beautifully kept with alot of amenities. Ive been to very many gyms and this one is awesome. Membership is high but like the saying goes... You get wjat you pay for.

Kathryn Higgins

Always a lap available. Locker rooms are awesome. Showers could use more space to put items. Another corner shelf. Massage services are great. Cafe us excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only 6 week member so far.

Sally Pak

I loved being a part of this gym, specifically this location. There were plenty of classes to cater to different interests and available machines. My favorite part was definitely the staff, especially Tawanda, Joseph (maybe its Josh), and one of the instructors, Ann, but everyone there is really nice.

Joanne DeStephano

I joined before the club opened and have tried to sample all it has to offer. There are some good points but a lot of bad points. Good: 1) the hours the club is open, you can go just about any time of the day or night 2) cleanliness - it's very clean and continues to be, even after being open over a year 3) equipment seems to be well maintained. Bad: 1) Most of the yoga isn't yoga, it's LifePower yoga which is some kind of weird combination of yoga asanas but done in the aggressive spirit of a Les Mills Body Combat vibe e.g. Eye of the Tiger for background music, really? Seems that should be in No Limits class (BTW, Elena is great!) 2) Price went up recently, over 9%. No additional value added IMO. 3) So many things cost extra. Recently all yoga classes were cancelled for two days for yoga teacher training but you could attend an outdoor yoga class for an additional fee. Hmmmm, Gee, thanks! 4) evening class schedules are super repetitive so if you don't like what is taught in the evening, there are few options to mix it up. 5) I signed up for my one free session with a trainer and when I got to the club for it, he didn't show up. I finally found another trainer and asked where he was and was told he went home sick that day. Okay, people get sick and I don't expect to be top of mind when someone is ill so I don't blame him for not contacting me when he went home sick, but there was no followup from him afterward and when i tried to schedule my free session with someone else, I was told I had already had the free session and couldn't get another. Ugh, please don't make me work so hard to get something that is included in my membership (which just went up in price, did I mention that)? This club is basically a child care facility with a gym and definitely caters to families with children. I guess that is their niche so if that is what you like it's probably for you. If you don't want that, it's really quite expensive for what you get. The only reason I stay is because I swim laps and this is the only year round pool near me. Sort of sad you have to pay a lot of money for a club and then search for another club to meet your fitness needs when the expensive club advertises themselves as having it all (in your Lifetime).

I am really disappointed with my experience here, my husband scheduled an appointment to view the facility and discovered that our family had been bailed on this morning (OK is no one else capable of showing us around? People in lifetime polos are sitting everywhere...) Upon this discovery the front desk, Yolanda, impatiently asked if he had a special email with a QR code which he in fact did and told her and showed her that the image was loading. She had the audacity to ask us to try walking around the cafe for better wifi? and then was no where to be found when he came to show her the code. Yolanda was in site at the other counter obviously avoiding us - the other lady at the front didn’t even bother to acknowledge my husband or say hello. Neither asked if they could find someone to show us around or if we even wanted to reschedule! Yolanda nor the other front desk even tried to find a solution to make our first impression positive. Is my husbands money not good here? Is it because my husband is Middle Eastern? I want an answer as to why we were treated so lousy by the people who are supposed to have the best customer service. Your first point of contact are grouchy women who act like they hate their job and the people who walk into it.

I have the same complaint as other members but this business refuses to make any changes so they will continue to receive these complaints. I spoke to someone at lifetime a few weeks ago and told them I needed to suspend the account. They said no problem, you can suspend the account at any time you just need to come in. They failed to mention it takes 30 days advanced notice. As of today I am giving them 20 day notice but they still plan to bill me. Now i I am trying to cancel the account and they want fees and the same advanced notice. This is a nice facility but it is quickly getting overcrowded.

Overall, this is a nice gym with relatively new equipment and a phenomenal pool area.. this gym isn't cheap, but line it's worth paying for if you need access to raquetball courts, basketball courts and big indoor and outdoor pools.

While in town on business I decided to sign up with a trainer as I needed a jump start as I was stale with my current workout program. I was fortunate enough to meet Trainer Nate Grover - what a Home Run I hit. As I end my second week of working out with Nate I have already lost 4lbs and over 2% of Body Fat. Nate set me up with a Nutrition Plan I could easy follow ( living out of a hotel ) and an entire new Work Out Program designed to help me reach my goals. Nate follows-up after each workout and updates the charts he created. His knowledge is impressive and the education I have received in such a short amount of time is priceless. Nate motivates me to step out of my Comfort Zone and pushes me pasts limits I did not think I would be to reach. Not only is Nate an AWESOME Trainer is also a super nice guy. Lifetime Fitness is very lucky to have Nate as part of their team. Thank you...............Mike

So many things wrong with this gym, where do I start? I live in Laguna and travel back and forth for work and let me tell you there is a noticeable difference in the way the gyms are run. Why is this so Lifetime? For starters there is valet parking at Laguna. At the Summerlin location, you run the risk of getting your car broken into, whether it be parked in the garage or in the main parking lot. I know several people who have had their cars broken into and they tell the management at the Summerlin club and they really could care less that that happened and they do nothing about it. In fact a colleague of mine cancelled his membership today because his car got broken into in the parking lot and when speaking to the management about it they were perfectly fine to accept him cancelling his membership over this. Does your corporation really care about the people you are accepting money from? It doesn’t seem like it. I can only imagine what would happen if this same scenario happened at the Laguna location. Membership is $165/month for now, but they put a bunch of new equipment in the gym, which was much needed, but I’m sure a rate increase is in the works. The management and customer service people are not there to help you, when you confront them with concerns they have this “oh well, deal with it or leave/cancel your membership attitude”. Night and day contrast from the Laguna gym. The Summerlin gym location is suppose to be a “diamond level” gym whatever that means but the service and quality you get at this gym is so awful, no where near a diamond in my opinion. They also seem to care about you signing up for personal training/group classes cause the management is completely fine with blocking off groups of treadmills/equipment during peak hours. Why would anyone pay $165/mo, risk getting your car broken into and then go inside deal with unfriendly front desk and staff and management who could really care less about your experience and then pay additional money for group classes/personal training? It’s a cash grab for this corporation. The location is great and they capitalize on that. I sincerely hope another nice gym opens up and gives the Summerlin location some competition cause this lifetime location does not appreciate your patronage. Bad management, bad gym, not worth the money, risk getting your car broken into.

Jimmy Johnson

It doesn't get any better than Lifetime Fitness anything you need for physical fitness can be found here. Always super clean never crowded. You could spend the whole day here

I have been thoroughly impressed by this club. Every aspect is top quality. Includes a Rockwall, spa, café and juice bar. The gym floor has every machine you can think of and more. Along with my personal favorite a heated floor yoga studio and Pilates studio. Not only that, but there is a third floor which includes Group classes, racquetball courts and basketball courts. I like to think of this place more as a country Club is not just a gym. On a personal note, are used to sell gym memberships at this location and I enjoyed it very much and the best part was going to the luxurious locker room for a hot steamy shower.

From the moment Uzair picked up the phone to answer my questions about joining Lifetime Fitness to him touring me around the facility, I experienced the utmost professionalism from him. He was kind, friendly, and genuine throughout the whole process. The facility is absolutely amazing! Very clean, spacious, and the friendly staff make it a pleasure stepping in. I highly recommend giving Uzair a call and checking out Lifetime in Fairfax! THANK YOU UZAIR!

Life time needs to rethink the pool operations. Catering to swim teams is not acceptable. The only time I can swim is early in the morning. I would like to be able to swim at the end of my work day. The other issue is members need to shower before they enter the pool.

Michelle L

I really like it here. I’ve been a member for 6mo. Depending on the time that you go, yes it is more crowded with parking etc. But that’s 5-7 pm. I prefer the early morning.

I’ve been with this gym since April of 2011 as a founding member. When I signed up we were told as a founding memeber we would receive rate benefit for being the first to sign up. Now they have gone back on what they promised and have significantly raised all of our rates. I’m disappointed in the way the people who have been with you from the beginning are being treated now.

I’ve been going here a few months now. Nice gym with good amenities. Life Cafe has great food and smoothies too. I love the app which allows you to reserve a slot/bike ahead of time. The spin bikes even send an email after your workout with all of your stats. A wide variety of classes and times offered. Facility is always clean but parking is TERRIBLE. Even behind the gym, you can’t find a spot so be ready to drive around in circles. I can’t imagine how hectic it will be once January comes around and all of the New Year resolutions go into effect.

The locations in other states are cost 1/3 of that in NV. What a way to sour such a great brand...if you standardize a system and image all over the country, the pricing should also be standardized. They are banking on the fact that the people in NV have not been members in other states before and do not know how much they are getting overcharged. They came up with cleaver rating system to justify it, but they are all the same clubs, all as nice.

I love Life Time, it is a reasonable price for what you get. First off, I am disappointed that my friend/referral did not receive his LT Bucks. I am sure it will be rectified by tomorrow. (better be) On another note: I used to be an LVAC member and I cannot go back. LT has everything, never crowded, not "snobbish", I am very happy with my membership. Very classy and family friendly! Love it! I highly recommend.

I have been a lifetime member for over two years as a Gold member in Thornton, CO. I LOVED it. I moved to Wake Forest, and have to drive 30 minutes to get to this location. Even though they offer the exact same services I had to pay more for Platinum membership and double the price for my son because of their activity center that he doesn't enjoy. I would not be writing this review except that now I am left with unexpected time to do so. I was on the only spin cycle they have in the general gym, completely in my zone- pushing myself to go faster when a staff member interrupted me to kick me off so he could time someone. There is an entire room of cycles with no current class that he could have utilized, but instead felt comfortable enough to allow me 5 minutes, ruining my workout. They have 3 gyms all tucked in 10 minutes of each other. Unless you really need the pool- don't waste your dues on this location.

This swimming program used to be good with their head of aquatics Jason. After Jason left, the swimming program fell apart. The women who took over the aquatics program makes appointments without any intension of keeping them. We left the gym after many years due to the very reason

Lifetime has a great gym and a very well kept locker room. Their saunas and hot tubs just make it that much better. The pool could be larger; sometimes it gets a bit crowded during swim team practices and reserved lanes leave not much room for other swimmers. Overall more than satisfactory. 4/5.

Great place, I notice some talk about they cater to money. If you walk in a high end spa, what do you expect, This is the best place to work out and have a family place to go. It's more a destination than a gym. If you want cheap, go to a gym,

I loved that this place was clean and not as dirty as fitness connections. I would like to have given it five stars but everything including the membership was way to expensive for a gym membership. 70 reaching $90 is crazy and the amenities is not worth a price point such as that. I would say more around $40 minimum would be what this place would be worth per month. Training is really expensive and so is the food/salon and the guest policy is kind of DUMB...other than that I liked the gym but it better be built with gold toilets and dollar bills for toilet paper if their going to charge so much per month...more bench press and squat racks also.

Former Retired United States Air Force Commander. Served our great country for fifteen years in many roles before being medically discharged. I fractured my femoral shaft (femur) during combat and have not been the same since. Upon leaving the USAF, I have been treated by the men and women of our great country with nothing but respect. With Lifetime, I cannot say the same. For the past few weeks, I have been attending Summerlin Lifetime. At times, I have trouble parking. This results from others parking in handicap spaces who do not have the credentials and a combination of those handicapped. I notice the meter maid drive by and write citations, but not anywhere as often as it should be. I was directed to the General Manager of the club, Chris Mitchell after many attempts to speak with a corporate employee. The ole' run-a-round. I spoke to Chris about the parking dilemma and he danced around with sports euphemisms and analogies as well as anecdotes of his own life, not getting to the bottom-line. I was always taught to be straightforward, Chris is not. His unprofessional tactics to deal with problem-solving are on full display here: 1. I ask Chris to enforce handicap parking. He says all he can do is have me file a report to non-emergency. 2. I politely asked to have the combat wounded signs in his office to be posted. He says he will get then up. They are still laying in his office for all to see. Weeks later... 3. Chris aggressively jokes about my leg and makes comparisons to that of injured football players. He will mock the way I walk or point out my "stump" of a leg in his words to others. My experience with Chris Mitchell is unprofessional, unwarranted, and disrespectful. I recommend those stationed at Nellis and retirees to steer clear. Chris Mitchell operates the club poorly and its reflected in his handling of disabled parking. In addition, I have many problems with this club: inconsistencies in the locker room (some lockers require cards, others don't, some lockers are compromised), an always closed steam room, and dirty weight room floor. Chris Mitchell should be fired. A new General Manager is in order for this location to succeed in respecting veterans, the disabled, and the elderly.

Scott Goldsmith

The staff are very disorganized. Typical dumb salesman ploy: quote you a price then when it is time to sign up they forgot about $40 worth of signup fees. The swim program needs a lot of work. The hours listed on the website aren't reality, they have updated hours available in the club. But then you try to base the hours off of what is communicated to you in the club, and those don't hold true either. And you constantly have to ask to turn on the slides during slide hours. Constantly. Also, the sanitary wipe machines are constantly empty, and towels low or non-existing in family lockers. Its not like there are 1000 sanitary wipe dispensers. I think there are maybe 6. This is the classic case of no one is in charge, customer service is of little concern, and it's clear their business model is the typical bulk model without regard for repeat business. I'll give them one more month to get their act together, doubtful I will see change.

Best gym I have ever been to. If fitness and healthy living is at the center of your life, then this gym is for you. I've never once thought that this gym wasn't worth the monthly fee. There are great classes, great instructors, plenty of benches and machines. It is always clean here and welcoming. This is definitely a place I'd want to stay with for a lifetime. Another great thing is there are no contracts and a low initiation fee when compared to other local gyms such as LV Athletic Club.

I went to the gym on Monday morning I left my jacket on a hanger in the locker room, since I saw other jackets there. I went to do about 30 minutes of cardio when I went back to the locker my jacket was gone. I reported it to the front desk staff the front desk staff told me he was going to send someone to meet me in the locker room and no one went I waited for about 10 minutes I finally went back the front desk because I needed to leave to go to work. The same staff told me nobody seen anything or heard anything :/. Someone took my north face gray jacket that I loved.

I was thinking about signing up, but after reading all the bad reviews about the customer service and how hard it is to cancel I have made my decision to stay away. Beautiful gym, I have been inside it’s a stunning facility I would love work out here; just so many bad reviews. I can’t stand going some where and being hard sold, reminds me of a used car lot type of sales man mentality.

I became a member 2 weeks ago. Since then I have been training. I convinced my best friend to come to the Lifetime to train with me (actually, it is beneficial to me too). We came at 12 am and had access without any problem as I have a trial card provided by Frank ( who is very good guy). But on the very day the steam room and jacuzzi was not working, there was no towels ( I had urged my friend not to take a towel). It did not come out as I described, we left without training. I was a little embarrassed. Today I barely convinced my friend again but the front desk guy 11 pm 07/28/2016 ( Xuye, Japanese or Korean guy with yellow hair) did not let my friend in saying that the card is not activated and we might sleep there ( this made my upset although our appearance and communication did not "sound" like those who have not home. I tried to explain and I gave my and my friend's car keys saying that I am gonna show him everything "actually" works. My friend was slightly disappointed but was trying not to show me. I was in a situation where as if the ground cracked and I fell down. I was bringing a new customer and we were gonna be training 45-50 mins maximum. ( We do not need cardio as we were slim ectamorph guys and I follow short, frequent training.) If that front desk guy had known at least anything about marketing or costumer service he would have kept a new customer. We left the empty training hall to the employees and came back. I am thinking about cancellation. :-(

Lifetime Fitness had the potential to be something great. With a price point higher than any other gym in the area, one would assume their goal is greatness sadly it is not. We had joined Lifetime for 2 very specific reasons. We were drawn to the gym by the convenience of their "spa," and the variety and superiority of their trainers. Unfortunately, these are the two things that eventually caused us to leave the gym. When we first joined Lifetime around 18 months ago we were excited to have the chance to get a workout in and use the spa. As physicians, time can be a commodity we do not frequently have. However, we quickly learned the only thing "spa" like was the name. They turn over stylist as frequently as a cosmetology school. The skill of the staff likens itself to a late night beauty school drop out movie. The "spa" staff is rude and disobliging. The towels they place on your face and around your neck have a putrid smell of decomposing diapers left to soak in warm swamp water with mosquito larva. On one occasion, we had family in town for a special occasion and had booked a number of spa services with several different stylists. However, the entire experience was ruined, as we had to listen to the spa manger sit at the front desk and babble on and on, grumbling and complaining like Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka. Apparently an employee did not show for their shift and it caused her world to shift off its axis. The way she cantankerously whined, you would have thought she was drugged at a party and someone stole her kidney. It would have been more pleasant had she stayed home and watched another season of "My So Called Life" reruns. Her attitude, too short jean shorts, and chunky black flip-flops did nothing to enhance the "spa" experience. The second reason we joined lifetime was for the training. We were looking for a specific style of trainer to help increase our endurance for a competition we had coming up. We were initially happy with the trainer we selected and were sad to know that she too eventually left the gym (see the theme). Unfortunately, she decided to leave a week after we bled out another near $700.00 for more training. The gym decided to randomly pair us up with a different trainer who simply had a style of training that was not compatible with our needs. At this point, we thought it would be best to just cancel the personal training and look elsewhere for a trainer. To our surprise, the training manager and the club manager thought there was no reason to return any of our money. Even though we had signed a training contract with a trainer that was no longer employed at the gym. After being members for around 18 months and paying more than $4,000.00 in dues and training fees it would have been easier to sun bath in the artic than it would be to get a return call from management. It seems when you have a problem or concern; management is "busy" or "sick." They made several empty promises and the only "solution" they offered was, "try another trainer." Our fitness goals were not such that we were interested in bouncing around from trainer to trainer. Throughout this experience, never once did they offer anything that resembled an apology or attempt to understand where we might be coming from. In fact, their "retention specialist," did not even ask why we were unhappy. Disjointed, marginally qualified managers, run the entire place, driving the entire operation off a cliff like they are Thelma and Louise. So from the person who used to handout Lifetime's business cards and tell EVERYONE about the gym, I will now discourage anyone from setting foot in that place. If you expect a level of service that might accompany a $140.00 monthly fee, you will not find it at Lifetime. If you are interested in shoving $1,700.00 a year into the pockets of a bunch of folks who would rather play in traffic with a blindfold than ensure you are even marginally satisfied with your experience, I suggest you check out Lifetime Fitness in Fairfax.

Customer service is horrible, if you are trying to make changes to your membership...Good luck, its letters and paperwork and such a nightmare. NOTHING can be taken over the phone. For $300 a month I would think that they could have better customer care....

Great gym! I've been going to gyms for over 30 years now. I can say that this location is one of the nicest and cleanest gyms I've been in. The gym floor is laid out well and the equipment is well maintained. The locker rooms are nice and there is usually an attendant available for any locker/towel issues. In addition to the normal gym amenities, their kids area is excellent in offering programs for kids 2+. The membership is a little pricey but if you use the kids area then it is well worth the cost.

I don’t normally write reviews, but the other day when I put lifetime in my GPS, I happened to notice their google review rating of only 3.5. This is crazy, I have been going here regularly for almost 2 years now and don’t run into any of the issues some of these people complain about. I go almost everyday and have never had a bad experience with an employee or ran into someone who wouldn’t bend over backwards to help me. It does get busy during the times everyone wants to be there like any gym does but as someone who both lifts weights and uses cardio, I’ve never had a problem getting on a machine. If having to park 100 yards from the entrance when it’s super busy and having to walk is a big deal for you, why are you even working out? I also go to about 4-5 yoga classes each week and it’s an amazing service, no extra charge and the classes and instructors are all spectacular. Love this gym and hope someday they think about expanding, would love some racquet sports

Prior to this visit, I had visited the Lifetime facility in Reston, Va., which was adequate and well-cleaned. I am only a guest this next few days with a colleague, but tonight when visiting this facility, it is very strange with regard to the people using the gym and the upkeep of the facility itself. Towels and tissues are numerously scattered around the place and people are using their person bags around the gym to hold equipment. I was under the impression this was an upscale place, but the people in Raleigh Lifetime majorly need to look upon their reflection because too many look very sloppy and disgusting. The facility by itself appears similar to the one in Va., but I think the sloppy customers don't appreciate it and, in turn, mistreat it. Also, employees are all out of uniform and equally as sloppy as many of the night customers. Also, this Lifetime doesn't have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash like in other facilities.

Kaylee Shaw

Pros: Great selection of classes. Long hours. Instructors are amazing. Gym is typically clean. No locks needed on the locker. Cons: EXPENSIVE. Personal training rates are ridiculous. Always busy. Life Cafe is slow. The people at the front desk can't answer any of your questions - about anything - so you have to call the activity desk and GOOD LUCK getting them to answer the phone.

Cici Trinh

Bad bad bad customer service from everyone including the center's general manager who I tried to talk to for three days of not being in the office at business hours. After being a member for a few years in northern virginia the treatment here was pretty surprising. Obviously the standards for workers and treatment of customers is much lower here in the rtp area.

Awesome club to be a part of. Can't wait to be back in Nevada and to visit the club again. Everyone is extremely helpful and very nice. Definitely a place to go if your looking to get the more than a gym experience. There is so much to offer and so many services.

My experience with Life Time Fitness in Fairfax has been great. Since joining a few years ago, I've worked with a trainer once a week, and I can honestly say that this one-on-one support has helped put me on a path toward better overall health, meeting me where I am and never making me feel awkward or out of place as I imagine other gyms might. I have been pleased with the facilities, have had good experiences with the classes that I have tried, and have always found the staff to be friendly and approachable without being too sales-pitchy. My membership includes a magazine, which has been informative and inspirational. My children are a little older now, but when they were younger I was usually happy with the child care center, which offered computer games, a large climbing center, movies, etc. I've had a couple of positive experiences with the spa as well.

Eduardo Gonzales

Gym is great. Clean, equipment is near new. My favorite is swimming pool. Highly recommend. Staff is friendly and professional. In particular want to note Janel Saunders, Jose Andrade and Jacob Lepkowsky . People like them make this place the preferred choice.

Although it was quite costly, I joined in 2016 and loved going. Had to freeze my membership spring of 2017 which was not an issue as I was told (when I signed up) that I can do so any time at no charge. Well, I was charged an "administrative fee" ($15 to freeze my membership) and was told should I decided to cancel, I can do so at any time. Well, I am now canceling (mainly because of how crowded it is and how often they change instructors for classes) and was told, can't do that over the phone, I have to come in or send a certified letter AND it will take 30 days to cancel! All I can do is scratch my head. I have come to realize sometimes having all the "bells and whistles" doesn't necessary mean you are getting the best......customer service needs to be improved and better communication to their members too.

Randy Modowski

Absolutely terrible!!! Getting out of the contract with them is impossible. And on top of that their "account specialists" offend you. After I refused to pay and they overcharged me their "account specialist" in an email said if you can't afford it you can't be our memeber anyways. Guess what i can afford it but Im not going to let someone steal from me, besides Las Vegas has plenty of health clubs and none that treat their customers rudely. STAY AWAY.

Jesse Lamarand

A staff member, Joe or John McCullough, was very rude to myself and my family after we went up there to check out the facility. I called shortly before driving up there in very bad weather to see what their policy was. Over the phone, another staff member had told me I could come to the gym, speak with a representative, and use the facility for free, even after I expressed I wasn't interested in a membership. After arriving, the front receptionist said it would cost me $35 for the day, and my two kids with me, under 18 would be free. Then, I had to fill out some paperwork with Joe or John McCullough, and he said that it would cost me an additional $15 dollars per kid. I explained to him what I was told over the phone, and what the employee I just spoke with at the from t desk told me, and he started to get agitated. He then said the other employees misinformed or miscommunicated the policy to me, but I still had to pay. He was rude, sarcastic and is the direct reason I will not be getting a membership, or recommending Lifetime Athletic to anyone.

K M

This place is nothing but a glistening day care center. The pool is never available for adults to swim laps for fitness, instead used for swim clubs and lessons. The pool deck rules are never observed as far as unruly kids. Also not observed, the use of swim diapers. Ugh, without fail that outdoor pool closes down at least once every weekend because some lazy parent brought their poopy kid into the pool and it has to be cleaned. Ugh. Save your money.

Amber McDaniel

I absolutely love this gym! The price to me is not unreasonable considering the amenities. The staff is always friendly, helpful and the gym is always clean. I have had memberships at most of the gyms in town, including some specialty ones and Lifetime offers WAY more than any other gym. The cheap smaller gyms have broken equipment and are filthy and the specialty ones only offer a small range of items. Lifetime has something for everyone... classes, basketball, smash ball, basketball, rock climbing, swimming, and a newly added crossfit area. If you are like me, you attend the gym 8+ times per month so the $20 drop in would cost me more than the monthly membership. My kids have a membership as well because they play basketball, rock climb and swim frequently. I used to pay $175 for a specialty gym that only offered a minimal selection of equipment and had restrictions on open gym times. The towels have always been clean and I never see broken equipment. Keep up the amazing work everyone!!!

We were lied to. A young man named Castro signed us up gaining "special permission" to have our grandson sign up under us. The grandson spends much time with us as we watch him all day Saturday and most days during the week after school. For us to join, we had to have the grandson be a member and our membership was contingent upon his acceptance. During our meeting with Castro the grandsons membership was understood. Castro left his desk stating he was off to seek "special permission" to allow this to happen because Lifetime accepts children only under their parents membership. He returns with the glorious news that our grandson has been given permission to join. With this news, we joined after being re-assured that should it now work for us, we give 30 days notice and our membership can be cancelled without problems. LIfe Time has collected two months of dues for our grandson's membership and this morning he was denied entrance to the facility. At check in, the young lady at the front desk gave us the news. It is Saturday so no management on site to discuss this with only salespeople and service personnel. This is Fraud. They also came up with some charges that we are unaware agreeing to. The posted asking to call them to take care of this. I called. They did nothing. Their post is to look good, not do anything.

Been going here since Spring of 2013. It’s like a second home for me. From a teenager’s perspective, if you live in the area and your kid has even the slightest interest in basketball, this membership will be worth it. Not only is the 24/7 facility reliable and luxurious, the teen will develop life-long personal relationships. Only bad thing I could say is at times it gets really busy, but that could be expected from most Brand name gyms. As for most negative reviews citing negative experiences with customer service, I didn’t find any bad experiences with them in 5+ years. Granted, I never had to cancel my membership, but I did have to freeze my membership twice for a month and the process was smooth as could be. Most receptionists will even greet you with a daily smile on their face.

Eytan Evans

Why would a gym need 30 days notice for a member to cancel?? It just seems very unethical and a way to extort people out of money! And an easy way to get another month of membership dues from someone even if their experience is awful. That policy needs to be changed. Anyway, I’ve been a lifetime member on and off for the last 2.5 years because I travel for work and cancel when I don’t need it. So my membership ended in December of 2017 but unbeknownst to me they continued to charge me for a membership that I was told was cancelled. Apparently they didn’t process the cancellation correctly so they continued to charge me for months ongoing and racked me up a bill of almost $500 when my membership should have been cancelled and I haven’t stepped foot into lifetime since nov of 2017. I called a few months ago to rejoin but they told me I had an unpaid balance of $453 or something like that I would need to pay off before I could rejoin. Ha! I was literally charged 3 months for a membership I’d been told was cancelled and now they racked up a bill for me when I haven’t even stopped foot inside!!! I wanted to rejoin but I’m not paying $500 I don’t owe. It’s not about the money it’s about the principal. I’m not paying $500 for something I never even used and was falsely charged. If it was about the money I never in the 1st place would get a $120/month gym membership and pay over $100 just to join. And spend hundreds of dollars in their spa and cafe... when there are gyms for $20/month or even less. I wouldn’t pay 1 dollar out of principal or even once cent!! By the way I maybe go to the gym 2x a week max so hardly even used the facility when I was a member. And all of this can be confirmed from my previous membership card... how often I used the gym but more importantly the last time I was there and how they continued to charge me months more when I never stepped foot inside and told my membership was canceled. Stop the greed! This is why people don’t like you, you’re prohibiting me from paying you $120 a month again (or more) because you charged me for something I never used. I’m ready to sign up tomorrow if you drop that bogus $453 bill. I told this to the membership guy a few months back, I said to him, I’ll come in today to sign up and join but out of principal I’m not paying money I don’t owe. It’s literally the equivalent of you going to a restaurant , you end up getting no food, and they charge you $453. My parents wanted to join, I wanted to buy my grandmother a membership as a gift , and told my siblings and their spouses not to join because of this. Stupid business that I could have had multiple more people join but convinced them not to because of this. In my gym I went to 4 years ago I had over 12 people signup because of me!! Referrals are one of the best things a business could ask for, esp a business that is not economically needed e.g. in a recession lifetime would be the 1st thing people would cut out. One should not have to pay for something that is not owed! Very greedy and very shady. Edit: responding to lifetimes reply to me; thank you for the reply, lifetime fitness. As always you’re patronizing and insincere. You didn’t address my main concern. You truly don’t value customers business and that will hurt your bottom line in the long term. Since we all know you don’t care about patrons well-being as you claim, you care about the well-being of their money and how and when it will get into your pockets. Good riddance to one of the greediest and shadiest establishments I’ve ever dealt with.

I am really disappointed with my experience here, I scheduled an appointment to view the facility and discovered that my family and I had been bailed on this morning (OK who else can show me around) Upon this discovery the front desk asked if I had a special email with a QR code which I did and told her and showed her that the image was loading. She told me to try walking in the cafe and then was no where to be found when I came to show her the code. She was in site at the other counter obviously avoiding us - the other lady at the front didn’t even bother to acknowledge my family and I or say hello. Neither asked if they could find someone to show us around or if we even wanted to reschedule! How pathetic. Is my money not good here? Is it because I’m Middle Eastern? Do I need to park my car in the front in order to receive attention? Absolutely ridiculous.

Lifetime fitness has horrible customer service! Don't waste your time going there!!!

This gym has a lot of resources to offer I'm getting in shape and maintaining fitness. Thus far, the staff have been friendly and helpful. They even offer daycare if you have children and you need them to be watched while you work out. In fact our kids see coming to the gym as a treat and are always excited when we go.

Kyle Austin

Great gym with kind employees and great facilities. They have a steam bath, sauna, basketball court, food area, and hair salon all in one building

Naomi D.

Amazing gym, has everything you could want!

The Lifetime Fitness Falls of Neuse Rd has the most horrible customer service of any Lifetime. Not only is management the most rude, condescending & disrespectful people you will ever experience working in any lifetime, Lifetime Corporate Office needs to remove all management, or close down this facility.

senthi7757

You cannot use the pool unless you come very late in the night and the manager's response is extremely negative and angry. Manager Derrick is racist towards Indian people and a bad representative of this company that me and my family have known from Virginia to Georgia and now to this area.

I have been a member in all the gyms around and found that lifetime fitness is the best in the area. Towel service is the best, Customer service is top notch. Only two issues, the whirlpools. There is a dirt black ring around the waterline and it is very eye sore. I have complain about them not cleaning it. The life guards says it won't come off but I know that is bull crap because if you take your fingernail and scrub the tile. The wax like dirt will come right off under your nail. Please invest in a steam cleaner. Once upon a time you would see the lifeguards scrubbing the side wall of the whirlpools but no more. One time the water level was low and you could really see that dirt line so i complain. All they did was fill the whirlpool with more water so that you cant see that dirt level. Problem 2: I have travel around from state to state and visit over 20 lifetime fitnesses. I have told them over and over again that all since the gym open, the whirl pools jet system was not correct. The jets are little to none and the top side jets that blow out on your back is no power. This same setup is in other states and the jets have power. It has gotten to the point that the only jets that blow up out of the ground has died all except for about 5 feet of jets. The jet vents reach across out of the ground about 10feet but only 5 feet work. This is not the way the whirlpools is suppose to be and it has never been fixed. Lifetime needs a specialist to look at what may be the problem. I am afraid they don't want to pay the price of what it cost to fix those pools.

A "Ritz Carlton" Gym/Club. But with Dealrship level sales people. The whole sales process was hard to stomach.

Very clean. Professional training staff. Keep clients informed

lack of decent and new equipment, constant shortage of space in the free weight area. Typical bullying tactics for sales and services.

Like that they are trying to improve the gym experience by renovating the place and replacing equipment/floor. The only bad thing about this gym is that it can really get crowded...

My experience has been one that I knew the end results, tell you everything you need to hear to get you in then that great communication stops. So I will call corporate tomorrow and cancel my membership. Good bye!

Lifetime is big, it has everything -I personally think its worth EVERY penny. Great lockers, great steam rooms, saunas, towels and everything you need...makes you want to work. out. Fantastic yoga teaches are this location, classes change for variety. Eat on your way out. I paid $140/month - a bit pricey for 1 person - but I thought it was worth every penny. Can also go to the other location to get a mix up on the weekend of other yoga classes or instructors or swim over there.

Wish I could give this gym Management zero stars. I've been e-mailing in August for membership cancellation due to moving out of Fairfax area and the person in charge (Luis) never responded since then. They kept on charging us all through November even if we haven't been there since May! This will definitely go into a charge dispute. They will sign you up in a minute for the gym membership but will walk you through hell if you had to cancel it. I do not recommend going to this gym and deal with those unprofessional managers who are looking to rip you off.

Great place with included hot yoga, steam rooms that have smell like Eucalyptus mint, and an awesome outdoor pool. Only reason it's 4 stars is because of the price of membership. It's already at times over-crowded, even at that price, too...

First Hot Yoga experience was great! I underestimated the size of this gym. I will look forward to returning and trying out some different classes.

I have been over charged for 4 consecutive months. Each month after an extensive phone call to get a refund and the "issue fixed"... it continues to happen. We have now terminated our membership;(

Always a pleasure to go there; it’s fun! I’ve made much needed progress and hope to continue to improve. Great selection of machines!

Love the amenities at this gym. My morning routine, jacuzzi, eucalyptus steam sauna, swim, yoga and finish with eucalyptus steam sauna. Later in the day I come back for rowing, cycle and Pilates. In the summer their outside pool area is hot! :)

I have been a member of the gym for several years, but it really bothers me that I have to move my schedule around their swim class schedule because they have those scheduled at the hours when people who work would be able to come to the gym. I primarily swim and I went yesterday to swim. I swam for 5 minutes and was told the lane was reserved for the kids (they should have a sign) and I needed to get out. There were two "free" lanes that I could use (which were not free). I raised to the management and was told that I should get here before 4:30 pm or work out after 7:30pm. I have a job, I can't exactly leave at 1pm so I can get my work out completed before 4:30 and I have to head to work at 5am so working out after 7:30 doesn't work out either. Obviously the kids are on vacation, but they have to schedule the kids so it gets in the way of peole who are working. So great gym, great pools, but unless you are a stay at home mom or you don't work forget about using them.

I’m a member of Lifetime. The facility is big and it has a lot of equipment, but it’s really busy, like... all the time. I’m giving Lifetime 3 stars because I’m disappointed in some of the classes offered. First of all, classes aren’t offered for adults in the afternoon so that’s kind of a set back. I’m not TOO upset about that; what I’m mostly writing about is the class I *attempted* to take this morning: STRIKE! I was between a 9:15 trufusion TRX class this morning and the 9:15 STRIKE class at Lifetime. I decided to take STRIKE because my husband wanted to play basketball. Big mistake. While I expected the class to be crowded, I didn’t expect the weighted gloves to be completely obliterated to the point they couldn’t be used. The velcro on all the gloves had completely given way, making them veryyy hard to wear. To the point that I took them off and grabbed weights instead. That was fine for all of 2 minutes until burpees got involved.. at that point the weights I was holding set me so far behind I decided it wasn’t worth it. IN THE FIRST 15 MINUTES! Lol. I’m paying $200+ per month and the equipment for group classes isn’t even being maintained? Overall, I’m unsatisfied with the classes and the upkeep of equipment. Like I said above, I’m still a memeber, but my husband and I are highly considering switching gyms. Hopefully the issues with both STRIKE and the Bikes in the cycling studio can be resolved. Otherwise, what exactly am I paying for?

My wife and three teenage boys love this Lifetime. We joined about 3 months before it opened and Lifetime gave the entire family a very inexpensive rate at one of their other local gyms for a VERY inexpensive price that was valid until the new club opened. Kind of a cool thing that they did not have to do. This new club is amazing; of course all new equipment, very friendly and helpful staff. Not sure where that other reviewer came up with one star. Our experience has been five stars.

Get rid of Robin! if you want to keep your customers. Not going to put up with this.

A big disappointment...

I wanna give this 5 star review to the senior sales manager Uzer Saed!!he was very helpful with us And lifetime athletics should be proud and very thankful to have such manager, absolutely thankful!!♥️♥️

The staff and trainers are rude seems that they hate their job, I have the Diamond membership payments over 150, and honestly with this staff, I think twice before going to this gym.

This location has all the same amenities that you would find at any other Lifetime location of the same level. The layout is very different, with the upstairs area being a little smaller than normal and as a result having a little less equipment and everything a little more crowded. The trainers were in full force, but I didn't see their work resulting in anyone not being able to use some piece of equipment. The locker room had a hot tub inside it, which is not normal based on my experience at a dozen or so other facilities. There were no indoor waterslides that I saw which is disappointing for those with kids in the winter. The communal hot tub was closed which was disappointing, but I can't say for sure for what duration or why. I had no trouble getting through my workout and getting my order at the cafe afterwards. Cafe service was right on time.

Rules make no sense. They charge for kids but don't let them do anything. Why would you close the pool at 6 p.m. when most people cannot get their kids and be at the pool by 6 p.m.? I understand if it bothers other people but in the evening after 6 or 8 p.m. there is nobody else in the pool so why not let kids swim in the pool if nobody cares or nobody is there anyway? There's a lifeguard there 24 hours a day so what difference does it make if they're not costing them any extra money or anything like that? I tried getting a massage the other day and a haircut and the massage was the best they haircut was truly the worst haircut I've ever received in my life and I can't believe I spent $50 for the cut and I cannot believe that you did not even show me in a mirror my haircut or asked me if I was happy before leaving. When I got back to work everybody made fun of how butchered my hair was I cannot believe this. I even asked who the best person is that can fade here and this is what they gave. They advertise that they have a rock climbing wall but it's only open for like 2 hours a day when nobody is available to go because they're trying to cut back on overhead. Kids can not use the steam room or the hot tub even though the law says that if the parents are with the kids they have their own rules. Honestly I don't think it's worth the $380 a month I pay for a family membership. I'm just shopping around for what else is out here that's better before I do that period it would be cheaper for me to get a home equity line of credit and build a facility for my family and my backyard and pay $380 a month towards my mortgage at least I would own the building
