Originally I won a month free membership, and was kind of excited to use it. But when I arrived to finalize everything and got a tour, I was walked over to a table and a salesperson/trainer would not take "no" for an answer when I repeatedly told him that I would not like to stay for more than a month. I felt extremely uncomfortable, and extremely pressured to pay into their monthly service. To this day, I have not step foot in the gym because of my unsavory experience with their overly stubborn salesperson/trainer, I felt like I was not listened to nor respected.

I love this gym. Very good price for the amount of amenities they provide. If you are serious about working out and getting into shape, this is the perfect place. You don't have to sit and wait for the machine. Can get a workout done in 30 minutes if you would like. The staff is very very great. They treat you like family. I for one, will always come back. I love it here!

Great place. Never too crowded and you never feel like you're playing musical chairs with the machines and benches. Upstairs cardio theater is spacious and well lit with a great view of the surrounding area.The spa is a lifesaver. Really can't beat it for the price if you're local to midtown

I can relate to another recent review that was posted here. I wasn't sure about posting it but I feel needs to be heard. For a positive note, this gym has beautiful equipment, nice pool, and is clean environment. What is still upsetting to me is how i joined. Last year I "won" a drawing to try a free month there. After I was given a tour, one of their male members sat with me and constantly tried to get me to join their gym because it was a good deal and this was the only best time to join. I mentioned that I had just moved close by the area and that I wasn't sure. Also I pointed out that this was the only gym they had and that it may get very crowded. Still, he was very persistent that I should take this deal. He mentioned that people from Lake Tahoe drive all the way to come to this gym because it's a great gym. I felt uncomfortable & felt the pressure was getting to me. I read through the papers he showed me and he still persisted that I joined. So I decided to join, sadly big mistake. I went through some hardships and I had to call and come in person to explain my situation. I was hoping they would cancel my account but their financial department said that they would freeze my account for a few months instead. Tho I am grateful they did that, now I am still being charged per month. Last I spoke with them, I updated the financial department that I no longer live in Sparks,NV but i felt they didn't care. So now I'm stuck paying for a gym that I no longer go to. It's very stressful because money is very tight for me & I wish they would appreciate my effort and be more understanding. I hope this review is helpful for others. Only join this if you are positive you have a permanent place to live and are commited. Also, try not to let any one push, pressure or bully you into commiting into something you're not sure about.

I got into this gym by way of the monthly free membership drawings and have enjoyed my experience thus far. The staff were flexible with my monthly rates and the amenities are stellar. The ongoing upgrades to their workout equipment are a bit of an inconvenience, but I am confident the new equipment will be better than before. I hope to use this gym for some time to come.

I currently go to European Fitness. I enjoy the group classes the most. Like Zumba & Cardio, there is also Yoga. I would say the most I like about European Fitness is that it feels comfortable. There are a variety of people & ages that go here, and the staff is nice. I would recommend European Fitness to anyone interested in getting healthier. There is also the benefits of a pool,jacuzzi,sauna,steam room & inhalation room. Fairly priced. Let’s get healthier & happier! ✨

It's a basic gym. Got everything I need but I understand the complaints though. Owner does give off a passive aggressive approach. Other members of the management staff are more friendly and approachable. Staff does seem to have a high turnover rate as there has been several new faces at the front desk. Equipment is fairly new but searching for clips and especially pins is a hassle. Overall the gym does have its reasons for the complaints but it's a solid gym.

Terrible corrupt people. They put fake coupons that actually don't save you any money. It gets through the door and that's where they try to swindle you for a gym membership. They hassle you nonstop and guilt you into buying a membership. Their gym has the vibe of a 1800 sweatshop with no regulations, no rules, and no comfort.

My family and I have been going to this place for two months because we have a membership and a contract for 12 months, before signing the contract everything was very good, but then that changed radically, today of March 11 I went with my daughter We had a week without being able to go, and they ran us in the worst way and the other day we were just speechless because we were in the pool laughing a bit and the manager passed and he fell us very abruptly, and they do not help you if it is not by appointment, at first I thought other people complained about nonsense, but it's not like that, really the man who attends this place has no idea that it's customer service, he also offers karate classes that they do not have, My daughter and I have two months registered in which we only spend one day a week for an hour and a half, only to be treated with arrogance and discrimination. Before going to the European, my husband and I went to Sport West, it seemed clean and nice, but we decided the European because it is 4 minutes from my house and we really thought that we made a bad decision, now we only have to pay this contract. While They make money so easy.

RECENT EDIT 8/1/2019 - Still no new equipment. All of these 5 star reviews are fake, please go to any other gym besides this one. Their advertisements about new equipment is fake. They never get anything new. You are not allowed to run on the treadmill. The pool and sauna areas are very dirty. All of the 5 star reviews this place has on Google are fake. Go anywhere else but here.

I love that it has a sauna! I signed up for the sauna, but I stayed for all the equipment, cardio, space and hot tub! Staff is nice and there is a really cool room on the second level that's huge and full of mirrors, they have classes, but it's open for anything when classes are not in session. Will continue coming.

I have always liked coming here and used to be a member when I was 19-20. I came back today and am so excited to be back!! They have all new equipment, a restaurant, pool, sauna, classes and multiple spa services, but the best part is that they are freaking affordable with no startup fee!!! Not to mention convenient location =) Highly recommend checking it out, even if you've been a member in the past, come check out the new remodel because it could be more than worth it if you end up joining and saving your own health/life.

I have always been treated with the utmost respect and dignity by Simon, Vicky David and Monique!! I love this place because I started coming here right after my last back surgery and I progressed very well with the water aerobics class in the morning. Pat is a wonderful instructor who has a total body work out plan. I am very happy with my membership here and highly recommend this place for anyone looking to improve their health and wellness!!! It's a Great Gym and it comes with many benefits. As good as it gets for the price of the membership and it has plenty of room for everyone. If you would like to know more or to join it's located on Virginia Street in Reno, NV. It doesn't take much to live a little bit more of a healthier life. When you first become a member you do have a year lease with them. After that year is up your membership fee drops and you can choose to put a hold on your account if your not going to use it. As some Gyms charge $50-$100 to use there amenities and have access to there Exercise Equipment European Fitness Center charges roughly $25. It's a Great Deal and The Staff are Excellent! They give you a tour of the place to show you where everything is located and can be accessed by the hours shown at location. Honestly if you want to lift weights, treadmill, swim, suntan, get your hair or nails done or eat some really healthy food check out European Fitness Center. They do free consultation introducing you to the equipment and training. Wanna get huge? Use the freeweights Hungry? There is a Mexican restaurant on the 3rd floor.(warning will also get you huge) Thirsty? Drinking fountain Hydrated? Use the sauna They also did a recently did a partial remodeled within the last year which looks great! If you want an affordable gym that offers everything you could want this is the place for you!

BEWARE you are being watched... Arrived at my hair stylist who has recently moved to the up stairs of European fitness center, Nice looking salon white marble tile floor clean, inviting salon. As I start looking around there is hair all over the floor but no other people in the salon. There was hair on the floor that the other operators who had left for the day decided to leave for somebody else to clean up? My awesome hair stylist finally gets underway with me...Some of her other clients arrived and had a seat in the waiting chairs. The daughter who was awaiting her appointment, probably 6 years old, Began doing a little hopscotch dance to the music. (Nothing offensive, but I would not let my child do that.) My hair stylist received a phone call on her cell ; I overheard The "male voice told her she had to have her client sit down and stop dancing" ... When you go to the Hair Salon apparently you are on CCTV. How horrifying to tell your client their child is not Allowed to stand up while they are awaiting their haircut. And OMG I'm on CCTV while I' m at the Hair Salon? Who looks attractive when your hair is sopping wet and being dried restyled colored or ect? I am appalled that somebody would actually sit there and watch you and television while your at the spa. What kind of a sick O does that? I'm wondering do they watch the women in the locker Room getting dressed down stairs when they're going to the gym? I think that it is sick behavior to sit and watch somebody on TV while they are at a spa. I find it more disturbing that they may be observing anybody who is in the locker Room being dressed as well? BEWARE Reno if you go to European fitness center!
