Christin was rude and very unprofessional! Called on a Friday advising I had a free pass I agreed to come in that following Saturday. NOT THE NEXT DAY! When we spoke she was all over the place even repeated the wrong day and time back to me and I corrected her. She apologized and we hung up! They called everyday that week? I had an appt for Saturday so that made no sense that they were calling me several times a day while I was at work. Due to the incompetence I was no longer interested. When Christin called again I advised her I was not interested. She accused me of no showing was very rude and hung up on me. I didn’t no show you wrote down the wrong information. If your customer service is bad from the start why would anyone want to do business with you. I heard Genesis was some vultures but I will never do business with them now!

Hate to do this but I just got harassed by staying in the locker room 2 minutes after closing. A whole 2 minutes and I start getting yelled at. I was showering quickly after my workout and I start getting harassed and degraded for still being in the locker room of all places, in the shower. Not on the gym equipment or anywhere taking up more time. I was simply cleaning up. And I get yelled at for it. I don't know the guy's name but He was super rude about it. I now know 9pm is check-out time (on a Saturday? Seriously?), and yeah, I'm sorry about it but come on, God Forbid I lose track of time working out. Dear Gym Jerk, Did you stop getting paid once 9pm hits? You getting paid to sit around and wait? Shut your mouth. I got dressed and out out of the gym by 9:10pm. 10 minutes late. 10 minutes. Don't stay late unless you enjoy harassment. And on a positive note, it's a nice gym. Good selection of equipment. Just don't accidentally stay late. That guy doesn't understand how a job works. "Uh oh, I stayed a LITTLE later because a PAYING CUSTOMER accidentally stayed 10 MINUTES AFTER-HOURS ACCIDENTALLY. My night is ruined!" S**t happens. Deal.

Worst gym I've ever been too. Missing and dirty equipment. Bathrooms were filthy. The basketball court was constantly occupied by youth teams even though gym policy stated it should be open to members. I had to sign a 24-month contract and break it due to a move out of country. I was hassled to pay hundreds of dollars in break fees and eventually settled for $150. Stay away at all costs!

I understand that everyone at gym does sweat. But this particular location has very poor ventilation and it smells horrible inside, especially once you enter the workout area. Other locations of Genesis are a bit well maintained. Maybe the people maintaining this particular location got used to the smell and don’t care about it. Men’s locker rooms were not cleaned at all. And most of the locker doors were broken. I would happily pay 80$ and go to Lifetime fitness which has more equipment and clean. Also Lifetime fitness does not have Annual contract. It is monthly now.

When I first started coming here years ago, they had two fully functional basketball courts. Ever since they switched ownership to Genesis, the courts are never taken care of, although they have the same staff.... Also one of the courts have water damage that happened back in January and they said that it would only take a couple of weeks to repair. Well, now it’s almost the end of July and still nothing. Be ready to come to a company that makes a lot of promises and never follows through

Once you have signed up, all classes are free to the use of its members. They have a indoor basketball and tennis court. They have an extraordinary amount of equipment. They have a indoor pool. And coming soon they are working on a outdoor pool and tennis court. Best Gym I've ever joined!!

Rip off - I’d give 0 star if I could. Geri - who sold us the membership is extremely rude and disrespectful. It’s been unbelievably difficult to communicate with Geri (after we signed up the membership) - she didn’t respond to my text messages, emails and phone calls. The club asked me to pay for cancellation fee because of their poor services. Be aware and be careful when you sign up for membership. As soon as we signed up for youth tennis membership, we could never get hold of Geri or anybody. First we wanted to set up training - after no response to my text messages and phone calls (my son also had conflict in his schedule and I wanted to talk to them about alternatives but couldn’t get Geri to return my calls or texts) - I decided we’d just cancel the membership. And it’s been over two months trying to get hold of Geri and tell us the next steps. Latest what I got from the club is the amount of (no) communication is adequate and I must pay the cancellation fee which is an equivalent of one year membership. They are the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Worst experience EVER!!!! ZERO STARS!!!!!!! They seem nice at first but they are only trying to trap you in fees. If you want to cancel it's not just a 30 day notice. It's 30 day notice before the next payment or you get stuck paying for an entire month On top of not disclosing fees when I asked about cancellations, the equipment doesn't seem to get wiped down appropriately. I worked in a gym for 4 years and know that the equipment should not have dried sweat caked on. This gym seems to pride its self on giving new members 4 free session with a trainer. My husband's trainer said he would reach out to schedule the last session but never did because my husband didn't want to sign up for regular sessions. The trainer also didn't seem to know anything about nutrition. On they day they were supposed to discuss it the trainer handed him a piece of paper then proceeded to read it to him.

God awful since Genesis took over. Iv been going to that gym for 5 years. Be WARY, this is NOT the nice gym it used to be. If something breaks, they leave it broke for months. In the mens shower they had tiles that had loosened and came up, looked horrible. They put a yellow tape around it and left it for at least 5 weeks. That is literally a single phone call solution to fix. MAYBE a $100 issue. Get with it. Disgusting members. People literally would wash their dirty gym clothes in the sink, and then dry them in the mens sauna room. One of staff forged my signature on my contract, and tried to get me locked in for 3 years at $55/mo. Now they are trying to get me to pay $275 to cancel. Very shady. Left and went to a competitor. Much better facility and staff. Sad to see such a nice place go downhill in such a short amount of time

We played badminton here for almost 2 years. The lighting is pathetic. We b9ought it to front desk attention many times but with no luck. When new management took over they hiked the price with no improvement to courts. Eventually we had to move out. We really like the place except for the fact that it's not managed well. Could have been maintained better.

You sign up to something for it be exclusive and then they have competitive games there and you, the member, have to park on a different property just to be within walking distance without getting frost bite

It's a pretty good gym. I've been going there for a year and once genesis bought it they added a bunch of new equipment. Which was good because there were more things, but bad because it was all run down rusting equipment and less room over all.

The gym is great! The billing is a different story. I paid for a full year in advance, when Genesis bought this location they didn't put in the system that I paid a year ahead. I've been billed 3 times, and I've called no one has done anything. I've gone to other locations and received the same poor service!

Bought a membership a few months back. The equipment isn’t the best. There are some new things here and there but those are usually being used. Supposed to be getting updated was what we were told but asked around since then and apparently that’s what they have told everyone for a few years now. Only thing that’s great is the kids area. Find it hard to get a gym that has the area for them to watch your kids while working out. I give it a 2 star because they need to upgrade the equipment, carpet, Locke rooms and the interior. All that stuff is outdated. It’s supposed to be a premier site for Genesis but is far from it at this point.

If I could give this place zero stars i would. This place is absolute garbage and the staff can be described as that as well. They constantly have buckets out for rain water. Down by the steam room and sauna has yellow water sitting there for months with a wet floor sign I’ve never seen an attempt to clean it once. They are cleaning machines at peak time when people are trying to work out. Personal trainers are disgustingly rude. Employees are claiming this will be turned into a platinum location for more money. This place is not worth the $80 dollars a month already. They lost the volleyball courts and after 120th shut down I wouldn’t be surprised if this place shuts down. The other day I watched a lady on the stairs asking for help because the machine would not step and sped up to full speed and they did NOTHING. This place is a garbage and a disgrace of a work our facility STAY AWAY. If i could post photos I would post the several ones i have of their lack of care. Stay away.

There are many locations I can chose from depending on the schedule of my day. The best is from home which is the Westroads location. Variety of classes are super fun especially the availability of mixed fit on Fridays & swimming class on Saturdays...

Came in for a tour of the club and then verbally agreed to sign up for a membership that day. They did not show me the contract while I was there but forged my signature on the contract and emailed me a copy of it a little later after I left. When I asked about this they said that their computers were down so they couldn’t have me sign on the computer while I was there.

Joined when this was still Westroads Club. Roof leaks at both Westroads and Cass clubs now. My credit card was stolen and while they had new information, their Corporate office sent several letters claiming they didn’t have current information and current phone number. Literally, at the same time the local office is calling my (only) phone number demanding payment. Amazingly horrible customer service when wasted on a good credit card when their gyms are all lacking solid roofs, equipment, qualified child care, working and clean showers and parking lots without massive pot holes.

They both made me feel welcomed even though I feel like a worn out , out of shape middle age woman. I have been going to Genesis for quite some time now & one of the main reasons I joined & attended so regularly was because I loved taking the Zumba group classes & loved a particular few instructors that I would follow to which Genesis gym they were at in order to attend their Zumba classes. However, my favorite, and most experienced & fun, Zumba instructor was Emily Pearce. She was always uplifting & motivational & she really enjoyed what she did. .you could definitely tell by how much energy she would put into each & every one of her classes. I also had a couple of friends who loved Zumba, but attend different gyms. I would brag about how good Em was & my friends were going to come with to a couple of her classes to see if they liked her better. However, after not seeing her around, I messaged her on FB & she informed me that she was no longer w Genesis - not by choice. I am very upset & frustrated that you would take such a vibrant & awesome instructor away from what she loves to do. I will be now looking into other gyms due to this fact unless something changes. I will also spread the word because I know that she was highly loved by many of those who she taught classes to and she had many "regulars". You will eventually see the impact Em has made in the Zumba world when many of those people who attend her classes go to different gyms. If someone would contact me on my cell - which you have in your system - I would greatly appreciate it.

The good: I like the layout and appreciate the abundance of cardio equipment. Overall it's a very solid gym. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. The bad: Not every bench and squat rack has its own bar. It's annoying moving a bar from rack to rack. They need to re-rack the weights on a constant basis. There's always 45 pound plates on the ground, proped up. Perhaps kick out the members who leave weights laying out habitually. The facility was a little bit cleaner under NEF management.

I try to stop my membership,and paid a lot of money for it. Well the worker told my I’m good to go now,and there are will not charge me anymore since I interrupt my membership. But after month I get charged again. And the manager told me,interacting taking about month,so here is new month,you are still our member etc. so I have to pay again!!! I hate this gym. Better go somewhere else and pay 10$ a month and enjoy!!!

Unfortunately the gym has lots of fees and get you wrapped in contracts. I had a bad experience with a billing over charge, i was told my account was closed but then later find out they continued to charge me months after and claimed i never closed it... after 30+ calls to management with no empathy and i ended up paying my bill fees anyways just to get out of it.. it was terrible. I wish I could do 0 stars. I do not recommend this gym. Do not trust them at all.

So you pay $600 a year for a membership and none of that goes to maintaining their equipment? Build the damn fee into your price and tacking on fees.

To start things off, I would prefer to put zero stars but google makes you put at least one. I can’t even begin to explain how appalled and disgusted I am of Genesis “health clubs.” They have completely ruined NE Elite’s establishment that they had. Genesis health clubs is all about quantity not quality. They are trying to monopolize the health club industry without caring about the quality of their clubs. NE Elite took care of their members and their establishment before this corporation took over. The club itself is being destroyed by disrespectful genesis members. The maintenance crew is a joke. The pool is filthy and the hot tub is always shut down. I could go on and on. Genesis, keep buying more health clubs but don’t take care of the ones you have.

The staff is friendly and the people that are working out are nice. This gym has most of the equipment I want from a gym and then some, such as a heated pool, a dry sauna, a steam room, and a hot tub. This being so, other than the treadmill and stair steppers, they have no equipment for the gastrocnemius muscle, (also known as the calf of the leg). Genesis also needs to update their drinking fountains so it is easier to fill up water bottles with. I would give him a 5-star rating if they did not charge extra for the tennis court and if they brought in equipment to exercise your calves with. Other than a couple issues this is an excellent gym to workout at.

Depending on the location I actually like the gym and the people who work with in the gym (I've only been to the one on cass and 144th). What I don't like is how there payments are set up. I advise anyone who decides to buy a gym membership with them to seriously analyze if you have the funds for this, and make sure you are going to have it at the beginning of every month even if you hit a life crisis because they will continue to pull from your account no matter the effect it has on you and your bank and other penalties. To be honest in Nebraska you are probably better off getting a YMCA membership for the price of what you'll pay here. Especially if you don't go often or use everything they offer to begin with.

Best kept secret In Omaha. Spacious with tons of equipment, but half the crowd compared to other clubs in Omaha I’ve been to. Really easy to sign up, and the trainers are great as well, especially Sarah. Recommend to anyone looking for somewhere relaxed that isn’t overrun by gym elitests.

We have been members of Genesis for a couple years now. We were originally told that the whole gym is "included" in the membership fee. We went in once to play tennis and found that there was a fee - every time you wanted to play. When we told them that was one of the only reasons we got our membership, they essentially told us too bad. Fast forward to today, when I got a call back after calling for over a week about putting our account on hold. I was told that they could do it, but it wouldn't include this month - even though I have been trying to do this since January. Whatever - it is what it is, but Jerry asked me why I would cancel my membership if I'm getting married in 2 months. First of all -- that's none of your business. Very unprofessional. We will be cancelling our memberships now.

This has become my favorite gym in Omaha. The staff is great, they take care of their members(they have towels here), equipment, and they look to make the place even better, with future plans for renovation. Genesis westroads staff, in the daycare, are the real heros here. My twin daughters love going, and it's because the staff is super engaging and fun.....they constantly do crafts with the kids, even little work outs. T gym is less intimating then other gyms in town, but also have the equipment if your are more serious fitness buff. There are some cosmetic blemishes, but I have seen what Genesis has done to cass street location, nice, and I have been to one Genesis in Lenexa Kansas, that blew my mind; top-notch. I have no doubt this location will Genesis' flagship location of Omaha in the future. Great job

The first time I went to this gym was after Northpark closed. I've seen it off the interstate for years and wondered about it, so when it became one of 7 in my area that I was able to go to without paying an extra fee, I thought I'd try it out! Jessica Chavez, who signed me up for my membership at Northpark was transferred here, so it was nice seeing a friendly face when I decided to try out a new location. She always greets members with a smile, genuinely cares how they are when she asks, and even checks in on you and your goals! She's congratulated me on my progress more times than I can count! She's so sweet and very friendly! The layout of this gym was very different from all the other gyms, but not a bad different. I did burn extra calories between the locker rooms to the working out area just getting around, and that's on top of all the stairs too, so that's good. The locker rooms and swimming area are key-code entry, so that was a nice perk as well! They have a lot more changing stalls in the locker room than the other locations have, if any for some locations. I like this because I'm not very comfortable changing in front of other people. The locker rooms even have a service attendant in them to keep them clean and tidy! They have a very nice area with a huge mirror in the locker room where you can do your hair or makeup and some tools are even provided too, like a blow dryer. I love that with the swimming pool here, they allow their members to bring their kids on their membership to use it anytime too! Although the kid's club area is smaller than other locations, I do like that the kids can look out the window below to see parents working out in the cardio/weights room. The towel service is a great amenity as well! There are times when I forget to pack my gym towel for my workout that I decide to go to this location instead of where I was going to go, just so that I wouldn't be "that person" that sweats all over the place. They have a lot of extra options for working out that not all the other locations have like various courts on site, so that's an added benefit as well! This gym is surprisingly spacious inside with separate rooms for group classes, courts, indoor track, cardio/weights room, swimming pool, huge lounge area, sauna, hot tub, big locker rooms, etc. They even have coffee and a microwave in the lounge for members to use. I also liked how upscale this location feels too! It just feels fancier than the other locations!

This company is proactive and innovative. I’ve seen a lot of gyms in Omaha come and go, but I can’t imagine Genesis going anywhere anytime soon. My membership works all across Omaha. Haven’t tried out of town yet.

I’ve been to most of the now-Genesis clubs over the years. Westroads has most of the amenities that the “average Joe” would prefer. The customer service each weekday morning from Jesse is top-notch! The workout space is kept clean & orderly as much as can be expected with inconsiderate members leaving “stuff” all over the place. The locker room and the pool/whirlpool/steam room are kept clean and ready to enjoy. If you’re looking for a trainer, Sara Egan-Reeves is as good as you’ll find.

Some of the equipment needs updated. A couple of the TVs haven't been working for a couple days. In the basketball area the AC goes out a lot and there's a big screen TV that is really broken in there. (Most) Staff is great though, that deserves all the stars!

This is a great (and massive) facility, and luckily it’s very conveniently placed in relation to both my work and home. I would highly recommend signing up with this gym if you are currently searching. For the most part everyone at this gym is so focused on their own routine you don’t have to worry about people staring you down. Give it a shot with the trial period and see what you think. For a lot of us this place is as good as it gets though. If I could change just one thing it would be that I could bring a friend on my second gym pass (purchased for my wife). It’d be nice to be able to bring a buddy along with me since I’m paying for two gym memberships and only one is consistently getting use.

I had never been there until Northpark closed. I was a bit intimidated at first but so far I have never gone in when the staff hasn't been super friendly and help get you oriented to my new surroundings. They greet you at the front desk like you are a person and not an intrusion. They are always busy cleaning (which shows in the locker rooms espcially) instead of just standing around chatting with each other. They have a lot of pride in the company. The towel service is nice. I have never been there when it was so busy you had to wait for equipment or felt uneasy working out. So far the only thing I don't like is it isn't as close as Northpark so I can't ride my bike over there. Other than that keep up the good work

I have asked multiple times to stop calling me. The daily phone calls are nonesense. I do not know how you got my phone number, but when someone asks you to stop calling, it is generally good practice to stop. Should I ever decide to join a gym, it will not be Genesis Health Club. Should I ever hear of someone else thinking of joining a gym, I will tell them, do not go to Genesis Health Club.

Don't enter into a contract with them unless you have extra blood to give. My son signed up. He had an accident and getting ready to have his third surgery in a year. His never set foot in any of the locations to work out. He's paid 10 months of his membership and they refuse to let him out without a huge cancellation fee. He will never be able to use any of the services before he is healed. He's offered hospital records and doctors notes but no consideration given. So I'm stuck paying so they don't trash his credit. What a heartless and money hungry group.

Management continues to talk about a new locker room and still nothing. There is always something broken, out of towels, or doing maintenance at peak times...poor management! The front desk staff is awesome! The cardio equipment is poor at best. Most has out lived its life and are missing handles, parts, etc. There is always something!!

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I decided to join a jym at the end of February and decided on Genesis. Initially they were extremely helpful and nice. Signing the contract was all on a tablet and the only screens we saw were to sign. I took them at there word summarizing the agreement, which was my mistake. They didn’t tell us how long the contract was or any of the hidden cancellation fees even though I asked. When I accepted a job offer across the country I went to the gym and let them know I was going to be canceling. That was the 2nd week of March. They said no problem they would see if there was anyone to take over the contract not telling me that if I didn’t give a proper 30 days notice and pay cancellation fees I’d have to pay the entirety of the following month. I went in on March 30 to cancel but since I didn’t have a lease signed with a new address they wouldn’t let me cancel that day. I came on April 9 with a letter containing the address of the company I would be working for and paid my cancellation fees. Turns out that the 30 day notice is for whatever day you bill comes out on. My comes out on the 15th so I got stuck paying for all of May instead of just the 9 days. I looked at their contract and it does NOT say that this is the fee. On top of not disclosing fees when I asked the equipment doesn't seem to get wiped down appropriately. I worked in a gym for 4 years and know what uncared for equipment looks like. y husbands trainer said he would reach out to schedule the last session but never did because my husband didn't want to sign up for regular sessions. the trainer also didn't seem to know anything about nutrition except what he read off of a piece of paper. This company takes every means to stick you with hidden fees. I after dealing with this gym I feel lied to, manipulated, and stolen from. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM

If you have other gyms to join, i would avoid this place. Our kids play basketball for Elkhorn Elite and they use this facility for their games. Yet Genesis has on their doors that if you are here for basketball games and park in their lot, they will for you. That right there is a big turn off for me joining their gym.

It's gotten a little crowded lately with increases in memberships but it is still a good gym with lots of equipment available at most times. I love the pool, that there are towels provided and the steam room is the hottest I've ever been in.

The staff was not correctly trained to explain to me that when you suspended your membership that you need to make sure it's not pass your due date otherwise the next month the full amount will come out and the following month 10.00 will come out. They need to make sure that they explain that the first time .

The reason I joined this gym was because of the location and the ability to box. I was promised the day I joined that a boxing bag would be placed in the CrossFit area “within two to three weeks.” That did not happen even though I was promised that it would be time and time again. In the meantime, a boxing bag was removed from the main area. That allows one to box using a bag only when fitness classes are not being held. Not to mention, you have to ask someone to assist with putting the bag up to use on the rare instance their is not a class. I asked to speak to a manager about it after speaking with staff that were not helpful. The manager was not present and I was told I would be contacted by the manager. That didn’t happen. Seven months later and still no boxing bag up as promised. It can’t be that complicated to find a small area in this huge gym to hang a boxing bag.

I am in love with this gym! I swim 4-5x a week and it’s always clean, available and friendly. There’s always parking and a lane open! If your looking for a great place to workout the Westroads Genesis is a wonderful place to start your day.

This place is a joke! Absolutely NO parking. Too many activities booked and not enough places to park. Here's an idea, if you can't handle the number of activities you schedule, DON'T SCHEDULE THAT MANY!! Also, they're were several times there was no water! Seriously!

This gym is fantastic. They provide clean towels, shampoo and soap, so you don't have to worry about carrying a wet towel around in the back of your car the remainder of the day. Their staff is also another reason I gave this location a 5 star review. Geri is super helpful and I have enjoyed getting to know her the last 2 and a half years of my membership to this gym.

Significantly overpriced. Talks of ‘million dollar renovations’ for months as a sales ploy. Go down the road to Blue Moon - it's a dollar to sign up versus Genesis' $135+ "activation" (lol) fee. If you ARE going to pull the trigger, I'd suggest bringing in OJ's team of lawyers before signing anything. Hey, nice steam room though ... +1

DO NOT join Westroads Genesis Gym under under any circumstances. The Manager GERI HENNESSY is a complete liar. I joined the gym January of 2018 and was told about all the great offerings including the "public" basketball courts. After a month or so kids and coaches began to show up to say they rented the court and it was not owned by Genesis. When I brought this up to GERI HENNESSY she reassured me there contract would end in April 2018. April came around and she had excuse after excuse. It is now January 2019 and she still continues to lie and avoid all the guys who try to use the court for public use. I will continue to address this with them throughout the coming months and write a new review regularly. I do not want to see others get taken advantage of as this is just one of the many lies told by GERI HENNESSY. Thank you for your time and PLEASE go join any other gym but this one. Gym was ok, seemed new. My problem was my GF and I signed up for the Gym then that GF ended up stealing all my money and all my cards bounced. My bill racked up cause i couldn't pay and i had to leave the state to restart my life and i get charged for many months. When i tried to explain to the staff my troubles of not being in the same state and getting screwed. I got no sympathy from management they sent debt collectors instead.. absolute terrible company , you want a staff that cares about you and your life and if it gets tanked that they will help you. DO NOT GO HERE.

The old Westroads Racquet Club, only modernized and literally something for everyone. Haven't been there in years until recently watched my niece in a volleyball tournament which it held easily amongst the every day members and their activities. Used to be a favorite of mine growing up in the 80s early 90s and was good to see and everything kept up to date.

Love this gym! Childcare is great, rates are reasonable, facility is modern and has all the amenities that I look for in a gym. Lots of class options, pool, hot tub, sun deck, nice lounge with wifi. I also love we can take kids to the pool there almost anytime, not just during certain family hours. My only complaint is that I wish there were more childcare hours on the weekend.

Dated facility that is not worth $80+ a month. If you want to use Genesis Westroads sign up at aa differen facility with a lower rate then come use this one. Trying to cancel the membership was a game of phone tag only to learn it had to be done in person and a 30 day notice was needed; all of which was completely different from what we were told when we signed up. Felt like were sold a Lexus and ended up with a Yaris.
