After a month of a very frustrating cancellation process and no communication, I finally worked with Quinn at the Genesis Sprague location. He listened to my frustrations and provided details on my account that I had been waiting for. Within 15 minutes of speaking with Quinn, he worked his magic and my membership had been cancelled. This was a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. Thank you to the Sprague team for the quick turnaround!

We really like the convenience of the gym as it is conveniently located and the variety of options available to members. The frustrating thing is that most of the tvs attached to the treadmills have been broken, which makes my workout pretty dull as I don't really like watching the news or sports channels generally on the main tvs. Everything else about the gym is great--clean, friendly staff, well maintained exercise equipment, variety of classes offered (thought I would love an aqua class that's not right at family dinner time). It's just the tv maintenance that keeps me from giving it 5 stars.

I was visiting Omaha and my friend had a pass there. I was able to get a guest pass for free. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly! The gym was clean with so many workout options! I wish we had one where I live! I'd join in a heartbeat!

I have heard a lot of complaints over ending contracts with Genesis, but haven't personally experienced any. The gym offers everything I need and their hours work well with my schedule. The staff is generally helpful, but don't go out of their way. The gym seems to be maintained well and haven't noticed any equipment that was out of service for long periods of time. Wonder if they will be adding any more benches or expanding the free weight area? Otherwise satisfied with my membership.

This is a great club. Their cardio theatre room is the best, sauna is always hot and the staff is friendly. This is the best of the Genesis clubs in Omaha so far in my opinion. The quipment is all in great shape and they take care of the place!

Music is overwhelming, I leave with a headache. Machines broke for extended periods of time. Violent movies in cardiovascular theater, most employees aloof. Trainers need to learn what fibromyalgia is and how to train people who have it. Jordan is a wonderful Trainer.

They randomly charge me 40$ every 6 months. When I realized they are charging me additional fee than the membership fee. They said its part of agreement. Be careful when you signup. Read everything. Don’t trust these liars. Unfortunately I can’t switch gym because I did sign up for 2years contract. They haven’t told me about contract term as well.

It is a nice facility with a friendly staff! My personal trainer (Jordan) is very personable and pleasant to work with (but he still pushes me to always work harder). I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for a regular place to exercise.

I love the Genesis facility I go to because it has such a great variety of equipment including weight machines, free weights, TRX, and cardio machines. It also has a great selection of classes and times that fit around my work schedule. I especially like the indoor track and the Cardio Theatre. It is a beautiful facility and extremely well-run.

I been in customer service related fields for long time and i know that's the key for a company to be successful, Too bad i can't say that about Genesis management at this location on 144th Sprague in Omaha NE. At the time we showed interest in getting a membership, the sales representatives and manager couldn't stop calling us but the moment we had a concern in regards to billing and fees that were never brough up to us at time of signing then they seem to never be available. Don't get me wrong i understand they are busy but after two months of multiple calls and messages you are at the point to get upset and there the reason for this review. The facility is great and the location as well but again management is awful.I find unacceptable that a manager can't or won't follow up with you after showing some concerns. Hopefully someone at the corporate office read this and is able to follow up with us i would love to give them a full review and make them aware of how TERRIBLE the service is at this location.If i could rate the manager at this place i would rate him with 0 stars.

My family and I have been members of a couple of gyms previously and I can't express how happy we are with Genesis Health Clubs. The convenience of now being able to utilize any Genesis Facility without paying extra is what kept us from joining other gyms in the past. The staff have been friendly, the facility is well kept, & the convenience of locations no matter what is going on in your daily life.

Don't ever visit this gym unless you join. If you don't join, you will be harassed weekly with phone calls even after telling them you joined another gym. These calls include multiple hangups.

You might want to change your name to 10 Hour Fitness on Saturdays. I've been sitting here since 6:35 waiting for somebody to pen the gym. Why are other locations own 24 by 7 but not this one?

UPDATE: Genesis has worked hard over the last year to update the old gyms, are open more hours, and provide towels now! Genesis took over the 24 hr fitness clubs in the Omaha metro area this last year. Not much has seemed to have changed, except for the many many advertisements I hear on the radio for a cheaper membership than what I pay and not all are open 24 hrs. The clubs are inconsistent in the classes and amenities that are offered but most have a spin room and a group class room available. I've never taken a class at the gym as there are no classes in the afternoon which is when I frequently work out. The space and equipment does not seem to get cleaned very often; the equipment frequently has dirt and debris on them even when the gym is fairly empty. I utilize a variety of the gym locations and the dirt seems to be universal. They have a good variety of equipment and work well as a basic gym but I'm not sure if I will renew my membership with them after I discovered there was an annual fee that was not discussed at the time of sign-up.

Thank you so much for hooking me up with my trainer. She has been fabulous and is always very concious of my spinal fusion and knee replacements making sure that what she is having me do is not interfering with my limitations. I can say I am feeling better since starting to workout and I feel like my strength is improving and I have gained confidence in being able to do many things I was afraid to do before I joined Genesis. I always had a fear of falling or not being able to get up off the floor or of "hurting" something by doing it wrong. Thank-you for getting me started on the path to improved health and fitness!

The gym has about everything you need, and as long as there is minimal to no contact with staff- you'll be fine. Trying to get a question answered by front desk staff is like trying to call an insurance company- NO ONE is on the same page, or has the same answer. I was mislead into freezing my account for a "non-optional" 3 months. It was longer than I wanted but okay, as long as I am not getting charged which I was told I would not by a manager. So for the next three months, I'm not allowed to workout but I get charged each month. To which I was told is how a freeze works, and that I get 3 free months at the end. FINE. Well come to find out 5 months later, it was only originally 2 month freeze and 2 months free. I have asked and been ensured more than 4 times when to cancel to not get charged. I cancelled a week before I needed to to not get charged according to the staff. Guess what? I was charged. So now, the misleading staff members have to confirm what they told me in order to get my money back. I will never go back to this gym. ESPECIALLY this location. I've also been getting phone calls every 3-4 weeks since I started from Genesis to see about getting me signed up for a membership...? I was a member on a contract, and apparently they don't know, but can still charge me. Don't go here.

I want to give this place 0/5 because they definitely don't deserve even 1/5. Customer service is lacking big time. They do not care about you as a person, only the money they can make off of you. I was mis-guided from the start, my trainer didn't even show up to my first session, they didn't listen to my schedule of times to workout that would work for ME, and when I went to cancel (not even four days later from signing up) I was told there was nothing they could do about the $300 cancellation fee. Aaron K was extremely rude to me on the phone when I asked to cancel, and if I would have treated my customers the way he treated me I would've been fired. So, be careful of signing up. And definitely go to a different gym than the one on Sprague if you want to be treated with respect. :)

Pro’s: 1) No matter how full the parking lot waiting for equipment is (usually) minimal. 2) Trainers are friendly, they even yak endlessly with clients about televisions, basements, etc..., while “training” them. 3) The free weight area, dumbbell area in particular, is almost large enough to accommodate the number of people looking to use it. Con’s: None, really.

Good variety of group classes and many flexible times. Most instructors are good. Some have had the same routine for years (same music, same exercises, same moves). Would like to see changes to keep it fresh. I don't see management out greeting customers-ever. Front check in staff are friendly and helpful. The place isn't very clean. Can often see lots of dust on window railings and equipment. Dust bunnies in corner of track and group exercise area. Restrooms often out of toilet paper or towels. Seems like there is quiet a few pieces of equipment that needs repairs or maintenance. Its a good gym but with a little more effort could be great.

Nice gym with clean locker rooms. I am really glad they brought in more power racks, have deadlift platforms, and extended the free weight area.It would be nice to have more plates and 28.5mm barbells. I have been a member of this location since Urban Active, and like what Genesis has done so far.

Love the facility but some of the equipment is in need of repair. Treadmills some of the audio equipment is either broken or missing. Some of the elliptical machines need equipment epairand new audio jacks. Exercise mat needs cleaning. Always hair particles. Needs more attention when cleaning. Paper dispensers need to be stocked with towels daily. Cleanliness is sometimes lacking. Equipment needs to be repaired. Can’t wait for the towel exchange program. Kris the trainer was excellent. Overall pleased with the experience. Need more sitting room in the locker room. People are always looking for a place where they can change. Need more benches. I have suggested this several times. Don’t think any action will be taken.

I've been going to this facility 2-3 times per week since February. It's clean, has abundant elliptical machines/equipment, & all of the staff I've encountered have been very friendly & helpful. I've yet to attend a class here, but the types of fitness classes & class times are of excellent variety. This 24 Hour Fitness has exceeded my expectations.

I go to this gym almost everyday. Turns out their personal trainers are COMPLETE CREEPS. I brought a guest and my whole happy experiences changed. After we worked out, a personal trainer came up to us and tried to get me and my guest to have him be our personal trainer. We both said no and thought that was the end of it. Oh were we soooo wrong. We played racquetball on the weekends, and he was always there pressuring us each time to sit down and join (especially my guest). We told him that WE ARE MINORS and don't have the money or time for that. Then one day after our workout HE INVITED HIMSELF TO OUR LUNCH DATE TO HAVE US HAVE HIM AS OUR PERSONAL TRAINER. He knew that we were minors, but we made a mistake and said it was fine only because we were very hungry and just wanted him to stop harassing us so we gave in. The entire lunch WAS NOT ABOUT PERSONAL TRAINING until the last 10 minutes. He then proceeds to ask for our numbers (in a sneaky way) and texted us until I had to tell him to stop and that we weren't interested. He then turned it on me, and asked my guest to do the training ON MY MOM'S MEMBERSHIP. He, to this day, keeps requesting to friend us on Facebook, and we haven't been there together since then. WHAT A CREEP!!!! If you do personal training at this location, beware of who you choose.

Love going to this gym, just signed up a few weeks ago and had nothing but positive experiences every time I've gone. All the employees are super nice and are always up for a chat. The building is really clean and all of the machines are in excellent working order. I'm very impressed with this gym and looking forward to continuing my journey to better health at Genesis. I hear it has a pool indoors... I want to buy this building some day and maybe turn it into a restaurant night club. I would make as many upgrades as possible to increase maximum capicity, and require a $400 dollar deposit with a ten dollar yearly fee for entrance chips. The 400 id drop in a successful fund with high rotation. You will agree to leave the money in for one year or no membership. I will return 15-25 percent annually back to your deposit. I would eventualy work in a trade desk and a marijuana dispensary. If nobody wanted to join my club that would be ok too. I would make the restaurant a living space, and then i would dance and swim, eat drugs, drink wine and blast music.. You can choose to opt out early and get your 400 back at the end of the year, but ill be keeping the ten and what ever interest accrued.

I’ve been to many different gyms in my life, but this one is by far one of the worst. The equipment at this gym is decent, but crowded. The real problem is the staff. The place is always a mess. Weights are never put back, and never cleaned. The staff just sits and looks over the gym and pressures people into becoming members without listening to anything they are saying. This gym use to be a few other companies prior and no one ran it into the ground like these guys do. If you can get over the dirty gym, terrible management, and never being able to find a weight, then you are a better person then me. From my experience the rest of the locations are very nice and well managed. This location is the one bad apple in the bunch.

Zero stars. You CAN'T cancel your membership. If you sign up, expect to be a member for the next 10 years. And careful when you join, nobody talking to you actually knows the policies. They'll tell you anything to get you to sign up, then the membership will change. I've never dealt with a more unprofessional company from top to bottom. Called to talk about a membership that was cancelled and was still being charged 2 months later and was told that I didn't cancel "the right way". Speaking to the person I signed up with and the manager apparently wasn't the "right way" to cancel the membership. Garbage gym and garbage people running it. Buy gym equipment and run outside, this place is garbage.

LA Fitness used to be a great quite gym, now that it's 24 Hour it is always packed. I have to wait for parking spots something and always have to wait to use certain machines or weights. Thought it would die down after a couple months but no still busy as hell since the switch.

First let me say that I have never done business with Genesis. Secondly I received two calls consecutively, no message was left. I then called back and advised the gentleman that I had missed the calls. He then immediately said he'd transfer somewhere. I asked first what is it that they needed and he said that they were calling to see if I was interested in a membership....No. I do not appreciate receiving cold calls much less from places that I have never even stepped into. So what ever call list you purchased to obtain my information is infuriating and I can promise you that I will definitely not EVER be joining this gym. Also, maybe teach your front desk to have a more profession manner when being asked questions.

I had been a member for several years, but hadn't gone to the gym in ages so I went in to cancel myself and my husband's membership. We have a 7 month old and have no time to go to the gym. I filled out the paperwork the front desk woman provided and then she went back to get a manager to 'sign off' on it. The manager came up and asked why I was cancelling, I explained that with a 7 month old I can barely make time to eat warm food and enjoy a minute of quiet, let alone go to the gym. He then said 'there is a daycare here' and I said 'yeah that's not going to work for me.' He continued to push 'why?', and I replied 'it's not something I want to do.' He continued 'well maybe you just need some personal training', and I said 'I have a gym at work'. At this point I am pretty irritated, he was very standoffish and frankly I don't need to defend why I don't need an overpriced gym membership. At the end of it all he refused to cancel my husband's membership ("the policy is he needs to come in") - sure fine. I was considering re-signing up once my child was a bit older, but that isn't going to happen now.

Have been a member at this location since Jan 2010 thru 4 company buyouts/mgmnt changes/name changes. Like Amber B & Lindsey H as class leaders. Noticed the facility is and has been filthy for the last 6 months. Hair balls in group classes, bathroom waste baskets overflowing, grit all over the floors & track. There is broken down equipment and machines even a treadmill monitor lying on the floor next to a treadmill. Wouldn't a janitor be a splendid idea?

If you are interested in personal training, the fitness manager does a great job of assessing where you are at, and getting you set up on the path to success. I signed up here when it was LA Fitness who then sold it to 24hr then to Genesis. I went in and signed a form to cancel my account. 30 days go by and I get charged again. I call Genesis and they tell me the manager isn't available and will call back. No one called back. I contact my credit card company and disputed the charge. Again on the 1st of September they charge me again. I call and the male on the phone tells me I need to come in again to sign to cancel my account because they now have a new method of cancellation. I explained I already went there in person and signed their form to cancel. Male says he knows but since they changed their policy I have to come in again. Again the operations manager is out to lunch and will call me back. No one has called me. I have zero commitment to Genesis and have no contracts with them. Their policies don't mean anything. This is now the 3rd time I have told them to cancel my account and apparently they still are not accepting it. Contacting my credit card again to dispute the charge and to put a block on my account to prevent these people from charging my account. *Update. Merchant responded yet still no call from manager. Called again and again, there is no manager available to speak with. They've charged me again and again I've filed a chargeback to get a refund. Chase verified I can dispute this any time they charge me, which I will. Not only did I cancel in person however a chargeback for cancellation is another means of cancelling per Visa. It doesn't matter at this point any reasoning the merchant has. They are charged a fee for every chargeback received so I will gladly take the 5 minutes it takes me to call my credit card company, or the merchant can just cancel my account.

Went in for what I thought was a scheduled orientation. I was walked from the front desk to the managers office for a hard close. I wasn't offered or walked on to the floor or shown any of the facilities whatsoever. Extremely disappointing experience.

I love the staff, everyone is so friendly and accommodating! The coaches I have been working with know how to help me get the most out of my workouts. I enjoy doing my cardio in the movie theater while watching a movie. I also enjoy being able to enjoy all of the Genesis clubs in the area. Each club is unique, and each has its own character, with some open 24 hours! Some of the clubs even offer basketball and tennis courts. The Sprague location has racquetball. It is well worth the dues, and they are very affordable. They are also part of the Silver Sneaker program for Seniors

I absolutely love this fitness center. From the moment I walked in and received a tour I felt so comfortable. The staff and members create a very welcoming environment. I am impressed with the amount of equipment on 2 levels, so I don't feel crowded during peak times. I never have to wait for a treadmill or elliptical to be available. I especially enjoy the women's only private work-out area with the equipment I like to use. They offer a huge array of fitness classes in a fully loaded upscale studio. I love the Zumba instructors! The pool is a huge bonus to me as well. I have only been a member for about a month, but I know that LA Fitness is a great value for such a low membership price. Stop in for a tour like I did...you will be hooked and feel fantastic getting fit.

This health club is not maintained well at all. Ladies locker room is never clean. There was blue chewing gum on the shower wall for 1 week! Floors, sinks and mirrors are dirty. Besides being dirty the staff is rude. The trainers stand on the track and talk to clients blocking lanes to walk in. They act like they don't see us walking. Parking lot is not clear of ice and snow either. For the dues we pay this facility is not satisfactory.

I have been to the vast majority of gyms in Omaha, and LA Fitness is absolutely my favorite! The staff is friendly and inviting. The patrons of the gym are also very friendly, no shaming or awkwardness found here. Free weight room is a little tight on space but nothing you can't work around. Keep it up LA Fitness!

Decent amount of equipment but just like any other big name gym, there's not enough room to lift freely during peak hours, although there does seem to be enough cardio machines to accommodate everyone. The track is a great feature, but when there are plenty of times I have to watch out for people crossing not paying attention or the typical oblivious groups walking 3 people across and blocking the whole thing. It's a good gym, but not sure if it's worth the price.

The facilities around Omaha are nice and well kept, however a HUGE issue for me is if you're buying out and taking over bigger gym chains, you should really provide better support for your members. Online account maintenance; specifically the ability to make online payments to your account.... I took my business to Anytime Fitness.

I love this gym! When Northpark closed, I needed to find a new base location for working out. This is now my home away from home. I spend 2 hours a day up to 5 days a week working out here. My personal trainer, James McNally, trains clients at this location now, and I see him 2 to 3 times weekly for 30 minute sessions. He has been the best trainer I've ever had! I've had 3 personal trainers over the last 9 years, and he's the one I'm most attached to. He's absolutely amazing! He knows when he can push me more and be successful, but he also knows when he needs to change things up too if I'm just not feeling it, then he spends the time covering nutrition and talking me off the "giving up on losing weight" ledge. I initially signed a 3-month personal training contract just wanting a jump-start to get my butt going again, but it's now 10 months in, and I have no intentions of ending our sessions commitment anytime soon...he may even be the one to leave me before I leave him! Shawn Johnston, the head trainer at Sprague, signed me up for personal training at Northpark. He even thought of me to have highlighted in a Genesis Health Club's success story for personal training, and we recorded that already....just patiently waiting to see the marketing department release that on Facebook hopefully soon! Both Shawn and James congratulate me on each pound I lose, goal I achieve, and body fat percent reduction. Not only do they congratulate me, they actually brag about me to other clients too, like they must be proud of me and my accomplishments. Since Jan 1, 2017, I've lost 11.3% body fat and 55 pounds! Another awesome employee (operations manager I believe) at Sprague is Sybil O'Brien. Not only does she have a big heart, she's very personable! She and James both care so much that one day at the end of my workout when my vertigo kicked in randomly, they both helped me walk to the couch, sit with me until I felt safe to walk, pick up my son from the kid's club, and ultimately drive home. Sybil even gave me one of her gatorades that she bought with the intent for her to drink later on and never even let me give her money for it! Joe Ruffin is another fantastic employee you have at Sprague! He's always upbeat and smiling! It's such a great marketing tool for your gym for the members to come in and see someone always happy!! He makes my day! Jarid Freyermuth is a manager at Sprague, and he's always been very helpful when I needed something. Cody Maas is a front desk employee that's also been very friendly as well. Some childcare employees that have been amazing to me and my son include: Radman Noshirvan Zadeh, Jaclyn Scepurek, Emily Troe, Jenny Rae, and Destiny Ellis. Each has been very sweet with my son that I've noticed. Jenny Rae even spoke with me over the phone mom-to-mom when my son was hurt by accident in the kid's club to explain what had happened since her son and my son were both involved in the incident I inquired about. The fact that she was okay with me having her phone number to discuss it was very much appreciated! My son likes Jaclyn & Radman the best at Sprague in the kid's club! My son even started potty training months after I joined the gym, and the staff at several locations were very accommodating with letting me check in every 15-30 minutes on him, letting me take him potty myself, and even as he got better at it, offering to take him more often for me so I didn't lose out on workout time. All the staff, especially James, Shawn, Sybil, and Joe all talk to not only me, but make my son feel special too and even ask about him and listen to his sometimes long stories. I highly recommend this location to others seeking out a new gym to join! I never feel judged here, and the people have been so friendly! I love the sauna, upstairs track, mini track, cardio theater, and the shake bar as well!

Moved here from Blue Moon a couple years ago. Definitely an upgrade. Maybe a little worried about all the change in ownership. It sounds like it was bought again this morning by Genesis Health Clubs. (To recap: Urban Active (2010 or earlier?)-> LA Fitness (2012) -> 24 Hour (2015) -> Genesis (2016).) This is the most convenient location for me (unless I wanted something small like Anytime Fitness). Everything is pretty clean and well-maintained. The free weight area is much too small, and could use more squat racks/smith machines, as well as a less cramped area for dumbbells. I don't do much cardio, but it always seems that the machines I choose have non-functional TVs. Anyway, great atmosphere, great gym. I hope Genesis can keep it up and make it even better.

Can't stand the management at this place. My son joined 10 months ago. Shortly after, he developed a medical condition and has never worked out here. The refuse to cancel his membership without a huge fee. I've been paying his monthly fees to keep his credit clean only to find out the person signed him to a 30 month contract. He's had 2 surgeries and is preparing for a 3rd and will not be able to to work out for as long as he has this contract. Thanks for adding to his pain Genesis!

John Wayne keeps calling and wont leave my wife alone. We have never been there and so I don't know how he got our info. After repeated attempts to get him to leave us alone. I tried contacting a manager. Manager dodged phone calls by first being in meetings and then not even there all with in 30 minutes. Lets hope 7 angry calls will be enough.

The staff here is so mediocre. They lie straight to your face about the pricing, just for the woman at the front to be a total jerk to you and look at you like you are an idiot. I did not enjoy finding out that they want me to pay an extra $125 to cancel my membership than what I was told. They lied about all of the pricings. Staff does not care about the members and are only concerned with their looks. Find anywhere else to workout other than Genesis. Crappy customer service and crappy workout center.

Member here for several years. Canceling membership requires a visit in person ( I'm moving states), and requires 30 days notice. I guess that over the phone is not notice enough. This resulted in 2 months of membership dues (for 2 accounts). Good thing I remembered to cancel before I left the state, because I'm not certain how I would cancel otherwise. Unfortunately (for me, not the greedy gym who just wants to harvest money) the time between when I called and was able to make it to the gym put me right over my billing cycle so I am effectively paying for 4 months of gym membership I will not ever use. Thanks Genesis.

Since cross-fitters can’t workout without using powder, genesis should make an attempt to clean up after them. The facility is not clean at all. Drinking fountains are always filthy, floors never looked swept or vacuumed. Cramped free weight area. People rarely clean off their weight bars, 4pm-8pm is generally full of the rush of show-ponies who are annoying to be around.

I give one start for only for the Zumba classes. The customer service is very bad. I have given a notice more than a month ago over the phone that i am discontinuing, i called genesis health club, sprague street and a represtative replied notice on phone call would be fine and he also said he made a note on this. The same day i called again to genesis to make sure and i asked same question that do i need to dend an E-mail for the notice? He said no problem. The reason i told him that i am not well i have been suffering with Shingles, i can not come but i can send an email. He said phone call is fine. But after a month, Today i saw in my bank satement my money got deducted. Then i made a phone call. Customer service guy said i should visit genensis in person and should give notice. I said i have been suffering from shingle. But they said i should visit in person and give notice. All they want is money no matter what kind of situation. But I have already given a notice on the phone. He said, we won’t accept such kind of notice, U should come.... poor service, waste of money

Chip right away took my phone call and set up a time for me to come in. Darian was very quick to make sure I scheduled my appointment with a trainer and get me weighed in. I love coming to this club. They make you feel welcomed. Everyone seems to care. Emily our instructor is awesome, always giving you options on how to do the routines. Drew my personal trainer is awesome. Very patient and very friendly. He does a great job giving out pointer tips. He try’s to show me the proper way of doing stuff. He gives me tips on stretches when I’m sore. Austin & Shawn when we were in the process of singing up they made it so easy and were very helpful. My overall experience at this gym has been fantastic. I mainly use the pool for workout and it needs some work. More lighting, backstroke flags, and a larger pace clock that can be seen from the other end of the pool. The rest of the club workout areas are in good to great shape and really like the indoor track. Last note: the showers in the Men's room need serious upgrading.

After stopping in yesterday to meet with Aaron and telling him from the beginning I wasn’t prepared to sign that day, that I was still shopping around, I had the most disrespectful “sales pitch” ever. I told him exactly what I was looking for and he continued to try to up sell me, which I get that’s his job, but when I tell you what I can afford and what I need, repeatedly, it’s annoying. I told him I needed to consult with my husband, and that I wasn’t ready to sign, and he brought out a trainer to talk to me and then a “district manager.” When I said I couldn’t sign today, again, he started to attempt to make me feel like I had no ability to make decisions for myself and that my husband obviously ran all of our financials. After telling him it was a courtesy we talk about things before signing anything, he continued to talk down to me about my marriage and my inability to just do something without conferring with my husband. I finally told him I was sorry for wasting his time and he said “I’m sorry you’ve wasted yours” I will never recommend this gym to anyone and I’ll be sure everyone I know is aware of how disrespectful, pushy and rude the sales staff is, especially Aaron. I’ve read of similar treatment on a West O moms page I’m part of, and I’m sorry I even stopped in. I was able to get exactly what I wanted elsewhere for under my budget.

Always takes time to answer any questions and take care of you! Even the other guests are great. As a younger female, I always feel comfortable and never intimidated. I recently started working with a trainer and I'm very very happy with my sessions and results already. Brittany is wonderful! Tough enough to push me and still sweet and fun so it's enjoyable! I've been a member of this gym for many years & kept my workout file in a cabinet there - through the changes from Urban Active to LA Fitness to 24 Hour Fitness. Two weeks ago, I asked one of the trainers if anything was going to happen to the files with the takeover of 24 hour fitness. He assured me they would be fine. After using my file on Thursday, I arrived today (Sunday) to find that they had all been thrown away!! Brittany, the fitness manager, said they threw out all the files to make room for current clients. Would it not have been appropriate to post a sign stating that they planned to do this a couple weeks ahead of time??? Couldn't the front desk people have been told to prompt clients that they would be cleaning out the files?? I had considered signing up again with a trainer but I will NEVER sign up for personal training services through 24 Hour Fitness. Clearly, they don't care about their prior clients. This is not a way to treat long time loyal clients.

I like that it is clean, well-organized and the equipment is typically kept in good repair. We have been at the Sprague location through 4 different owners and this is the best the gym has been run. We like the forward thinking and attention to detail that Mr. Rodney and team put into their gyms and they make sure to swing by every so often to check how things are going. It makes me feel like they care about their gyms and their customers and that keeps us coming back.My wife uses one of the trainers and thoroughly enjoys her time working out with her. She is bummed the weeks that conflicts come up with her training time.

I experienced a house fire September 16 th. I went in the following Monday to explain to the gym I need to drop my membership since I have been moved across town and it will be months before I can move back home. I was told I have to pay 250.00$ to drop my membership OR they could have th manager cancel it for me due to extenuating circumstances. I have called Chip Polanski three times and still have not heard back from him. I can't even find a corporate number to call on their website. Can anyone help me in this situation?

I completely agree with who ever gave one start feed back on Genesis management and their financial system process . I joined for 2 years contract with 2 and half weeks trail period. I didn't like after 2 weeks and asked them to cancel my contract. They charged me total app. $340+. $45+ dollars when I joined and $275+ when I cancelled. later they changed $42+ on my checking account even after I completely out of contract. I called and asked they said sorry we forgot to inform you about final charge. I am happy that I came out of this contract. If not I have to suffer to see their faces daily! Specially the guy who signed me. Cannot trust this management. No Respect. ****Not sure what Genesis upper management is doing *****. Employee work properly if management takes action on these comments and put proper rules on current management. It is effecting lots of customers due to this bad customer service from this location. No Respect for people after sign the contract. Everyone .. please be careful before you sign any contract. Do not trust what they say, those words all up in the air after you sign the contract.

I really like this gym. I am not a person that normally enjoys a workout, but there are several features that help me push through. My favorite part is the 'cardio theater', where they literally play movies on a big screen while you run or bike ^_^. I can work out without even knowing! Much better than videos on my phone... I also like the indoor track on the second floor. Treadmills are fine, but sometimes I want to run somewhere so the track is nice. The staff is very friendly, and I enjoy the pool for an extra workout and cool down.

I am very concerned as to the staff changes that are at Genesis. Also the are paying staff to just walk around and do nothing. There are at times 3 men walking together. If they are receiving salaries, they should be doing something at the club. Machines are not repaired in a timely manner, TV's do not work, need to play better music than what they play now. I have recently had back surgery so have not been going to the gym, however I stopped in to freeze my account and the "kid" who helped told me I just needed to bring in a Dr note. Wrong, there was paperwork to complete and I did not get it. Very disappointing, I would like to share with Corporate. Another staff member came and helped, but I am still being charged. I will be calling corporate.

I am visiting from out of town this week and this is the gym my dad goes to, they were gracious enough to give me a guest pass and my experience here has raised the bar for what a fitness club should aspire to be. The facilities are immaculate and make me want to stay at the gym longer. The locker room is extremely clean, well laid out and comfortable. My current routine involves a lot of time in the water and the pool at this gym is the best pool I’ve ever worked out in. The water is crystal clear, the lanes are wide, the lighting is just right and the architecture compliments the experience perfectly. If i still lived in omaha I would not hesitate to join this gym.

It depends on whos working because for the past year now they keep swindling people with "it's $40 now but in a week it'll be up to $50 a month so you better hurry!". I especially love the private, women's sauna, the cardio theater, and the vast amount of equipment so you're never waiting around for a machine. The staff is also extremely friendly and always greets us with a smile and kind words as we enter and leave.
