I'd have to say that so far I've been to 5 different gyms and BOBS is definitelythe best!! They not only have great equipment and a great facility but their personnel is GREAT!! they enjoy what they do and all work with a great amount of INTEGRITY! I personally know one young woman there who does an OUTSTANDING job! I have no doubt that she loves Jesus Christ just as i do and I thank God for having all these awesome people at Bob's Fitnnes Center!! Best gym ever and Good protien shakes!

Bob's gym meets all types of people trying to better themselves through exercise-from the novice, to the professional athlete, Bob's has it all. Unfortunately I have to be anonymous because whenever there is a negative comment the owner Bob tracks down the commenter and forces them to remove their negative experience. Furthermore. Bobs fitness complex is a great place to work out at with more equipment than you will ever need. However good luck moving around in between racks without running into another machine. The gym owners like to pride themselves in cleanliness stating that they are the cleanest gym in the Omaha area... if that's what they think then they must have never stepped into another gym before. the gym equipment always seems to be clean as they have staff working during the day (very much in the way of yiur workouts), but the bathroom and front desk are just disgusting. The front desk is very friendly however the owners Bob and his wife Carol only seem to care about money money money. You'll be treated as a paycheck not as a person if you ever make a mistake on your payment. 25$ late charge (no matter the circumstances)on an already over priced membership. The equipment/machines/sauna and bathrooms are so outdated it's like taking a time machine back to the early 90s even the posters are from 20+ years ago! Any time a machine that so badly needs to be replaced breaks they just seem to find a temporary fix. You have to be careful what you use and how you use it. Over all this gym needs to be updated and brought to the present time! It could be one of the best gyms in America if only the owners weren't so cheap and cared more about their customers than their wallets.

Bob's Fitness is successful for a reason. It has an old school feel and plenty of equipment for beginning and advanced weightlifters alike. There is also a spacious cross-fit and dead-lifting section. The staff is upbeat, polite and very helpful. However, there are a few things to consider before deciding that this gym fulfills your gym experience expectations; First, the gym itself is rather small when comparing it to the amount of gym members there are. I have found it difficult to want to relax and hit a quick gym session, especially during peak hours. Second, because of the smaller size of the gym and the good amount of equipment this gym showcases, it is common to run into equipment when you're moving between sets. The space is cluttered with equipment, and when you add the vast amount of gym members there are, well, you've got yourself in a dangerous situation tripping and knocking into equipment. Third, I believe gym member etiquette should be more re-enforced. There are people dropping weights left and right and not picking up after themselves. Machines being sweated on aren't always sanitized. It is not uncommon to see random people, not working out, sitting on benches and chatting it up in the middle of people struggling to find space to work out. Overall, the gym's owner and staff work extremely hard to give their members a great experience. Unfortunately, the popularity of this gym makes the smaller space more prominent and not all gym members show respect to the rest of the members by displaying proper gym etiquette.

I went to Bob's because it came highly recommended by a couple of co-workers and being away from base to work out sounded appealing. Aaron was super helpful and nice and signing up was easy and simple. I've enjoyed the power lifting area and overall amount of equipment that is at BFC. A couple of days after signing up my wife and I received a hand written letter from the staff which showed me that they truly go above and beyond for their clients.

Great gym, it's just re-branded power house. Open 24-7 and over all clean. They offer cross fit if that's your thing. (At additional cost to your money dues) the only issue that I had will this gym is canceling my membership. They do not make it easy. In addition to telling them they make you send a certified letter. In their defense they do state that in your contact.

The gym is pretty much the best in town. All equipment you need, and a great atmosphere. Only problem is location. Wish they would open one near mid Omaha (108th-132nd). You can make other places work and have a way shorter drive. When you work 10-12 hour days and need to train for about 2 hours and do fasted cardio in the morning the drive just doesn't work. Summary: They are the best gym in regards to equipment, ammenities, and price for all lifters in the Omaha area, but they are not in an ideal location for me and most of the mid/West omaha population. Hopefully one day we can get a gym like this in the Mid/western part of Omaha.

I have been a member of Powerhouse for about four years now and truely love the place! Its is the only gym I have walked into and absolutely felt like it was a good thing to be there! The staff is WONDERFUL! Every single one of them know just about every member's name and if they don't they make it a point to get to know them! I seriously can't think of another place that does this....oh wait there isn't. Just goes to show you they have a one of a kind customer service! As far as the cancellation procedure, EVERYTHING is written out for you on the contract when you first sign up, including the fact that they want a certified letter with 30days notice. Everyone knows that you don't sign up for things if you don't either agree with what your signing or have not read what your signing! It just irritates me when people don't want to follow the rules they agreeded to so they want to give great places like Powerhouse a bad name! I have never had a problem and when I have had an issue with something they always get to it! Now back to great customer service, what other gym can you say that sends you $5 for your birthday, a thinking of you card or a christmas present to every single member!! Yeah no kidding EVERY MEMBER!!! Also the daycare has wonderful kind staff, a camera in the room and the TV in the cardio area so I can check on the kids without walking back to the room! Personal training staff is also very kind and experienced! My trainer was a professional boxer and a very very very good trainer! And lastly I totally agree with the fact that they have excellent equipment! No it is not up to date, but not everyone can get tax payer money or is being bought out by big daddy companies! They gym is very nicely set up and the cardio area isnt starring down the free weights or aerobic room. You feel like each area is in it's own room! The free weight room,WOW, is what comes to mind when you first walk into it! Very huge and lots of variety. If you love lifting the heavy weights or you love to powerlift this free weight room is your dream come true! Did I mention they have hand chalk!!!!! The equipment is not dirty, everytime I am in the gym some one is always wiping the equipment down so thats b.s!!! On another note, Omg you have to try their protein shakes! Very yummy! Not to mention they have a great selection of supplements and if they don't have something you are interested in trying, they try very hard to bring it in for you! So to sum up Powerhouse gym, it is a GREAT place to work out at! I know my family and I will not go anywhere else so long as this place is open!!!! Oh before i forget.....the classes are awesome! Lots of zumba classes with great instructors and fun cycling classes! Just to name a couple! I REALLY REALLY REALLY recomment this place to EVERYONE!

The gym is amazing. It has everything one needs to advance a competitive athletic career, train for any career that requires physical ability, or just stay fit for life. Platforms, jammers, tires, machines for every muscle, etc. You want to power lift, go for it. You want to olympic lift, go for it. You want to lose weight, get strong, or get big, well go for it. The staff is always friendly and helpful and so are the members. Best part about it, there's multiple areas and machines to use. So if someone is using something, don't worry, there's another spot around the corner.

This is one of the few gyms where you actually get your money worth! They are constantly improving the gym through their comment cards. I've seen it multiple times where they have move equipment around and added NEW requested items because of those comment cards. Always adding new equipment and expanding. This gym has EVERYTHING you need(except for a pool haha).

You cannot please everyone all of the time, but they do their best and are more than willing to listen and work with clientele on situational scale. One personal trainer in particular is who keeps me coming back, Ms. Carol is one of the best I have ever worked with. She cares about her clients and their overall health and it truly shows. Bob's Fitness Center is a great place to work out and the staff is awesome. The prices are not bad and I have access 24/7.The equipment is in fair condition and I really like the fitness room. I have not taken any of the classes but it seems like there is a lot being offered and is included with your monthly membership fees.That being said, I do think some improvements could be made in the facilities. The men's locker room is old looking generally very dirty. Sometimes, the free weight room is really cluttered and it feels like there is almost too much equipment laying around. Overall though I think this is a quality gym with a friendly staff and pretty decent equipment. I have been around locker rooms my whole life so the lack of cleanliness really doesn't bother me as much, but I could see how it could be a turn-off for some members or potential members. I give it a 2/3.

I joined Genesis recently AS WELL because I moved to Central O and could not drive to Bellevue as often as I wish. I’ll never give up my membership here even if I can only go once or twice a week. Staff and facility is great compared to everywhere else and I’ve learned so much about real dedication from the guys and gals I see there all the time. If you are feeling beat down go to Bob’s and get lifted up by the best workout you can find or walk around and get inspired by words on the wall everyone should have been taught growing up. The world is a better place because of this gym.

I would like to say that this is definitely the biggest mistake I made in my weight loss goals. Over 4 months ago I cancelled my membership there because I no longer live nearby and was given the run around. When I called to cancel, I was told I had to do so in person. When I did finally make it down there I was then told that I had to cancel by certified letter. I was not happy. Considering that they could have told me this over the telephone to begin with and saved me the trip of actually going to this location to cancel in person as per their instructions over the phone. When I did leave the location, I went straight to the post office and sent them a certified letter to cancel the membership. I have continued to receive bills from them every month, increasing the amount I owe. Yes, I signed the contract, and I was also told that they provide exceptional customer service. Not allowing someone to cancel their membership is not what i would consider "exceptional" unless you want to consider it exceptionally BAD customer service. I was also a part of their special training program, which I paid for IN FULL. I didn't finish this training because there was nothing special about it and the trainer that I had decided that he was going to get too personal with me during our sessions. I've also spoken to Carol several times and all she would like to do is berate me for being upset about the cancellation "procedures" and she isn't doing anything to make me want to stay. I would certainly NOT recommend this gym to anyone because of the exceptionally BAD customer service. Also, I wouldn't suggest trying to get to her boss, because she won't give you access to whomever they are. One has to wonder why??

Really amazing gym, I wasn't sure about even going to any gyms when I left martial arts after training for two years. Once I checked out Bob's Fitness and saw how big the place is, how they have their facility set up, the 24/7 access, and he amazing rates, I was sold! Can't forget the amazing front desk, and gym workers as well, thanks to Bob and everyone working there! :)

It's a great gym and the only thing I can say on the negative after 4-5 months going here is its a bit crowded in terms of equipment which in itself is great cause it's all here from crossfit to just normal equipment. But I have banged into a couple machines walking through. I would recommend this all regardless and have since already gotten 1 friend here :).

I wont ever go anywhere else. There's so much versatility with the equipment, the staff is awesome, and everybody knows what they're doing and is willing to help!

I’ve been to many gyms in my life having moved around a lot in the military. And this gym is hands down the best. First off the staff is always incredibly friendly. They keep the place very clean for a gym. They have a juice bar that sells all kinds of stuff including single portion supplements. And the actual gym part will blow your mind. They have an incredible amount of amazing stuff in this place. Things you didn’t even know existed like benches that have built in dumbbell holders so you don’t wreck your shoulders getting the heavy ones into position to do your sets. Just do yourself a favor and try it. Yeah it isn’t the cheapest gym, but you won’t be able to get a more quality workout in anywhere in the Midwest with how good and diverse the equipment is here.

I have been at Bobs gym for 3 years now and have never seen a gym anywhere else that can compare to the quality and service i get here. The equipment out does any other gym and the staff feels like family. Cant thank Bob enough..

This gym is amazing. No gym has as much equipment as Bobs plus a smoothie bar and sauna!!! Also they just expanded and ADDED new workout equipment! The best part is the people everyone is friendly and the employees are amazing and attentative.

I'm a client here, I love the gym and all of its equipment. The juice bar is really my favorite part. The only downside of the gym is no pool or hot tub or a Rock wall but hopefully those could be put in later as it is a two story mall. But all and all it's a great place to work out I think it's better than most of the gyms in Omaha totally worth it employees are great always nice when u walk in. I don't see much wrong but just just a couple of add one needed other than that u go bob and carol. It also be nice if u guys would give me a call back about shadowing one of ur personal trainers

As a former employee, and someone who has been around gyms for a long time, I can tell you that I have NEVER been part of a better experience or Fitness facility than Bobs. I have never been a part of a gym where an owner takes more pride in doing the right thing for his members. I gladly drive there even on days off as Bob's provides the complete experience for a person of any fitness level. Every member is treated like part of the family. From the staff to the cleanliness to making sure that all questions and concerns are answered promptly everything is done with the utmost professionalism. If you are like me and prefer to give your hard earned money to something good and reputable you can do no better than Bobs Fitness Center. I have never met a better gym owner or business owner.

Great pricing....great, friendly employees too! They also have smoothies made to order, babysitting, tanning and being open 24hrs is a major + for me! If I could think of a negative it would be when I signed up....The pressure was on at the beginning to sign up for their personal training and to educate me on my diet. I just wanted to work out, not spend another $600+ on training. Once I got past that, it has been wonderful!

Knowledgeable staff and very helpful. The members are always there for the same purpose and nobody is above anyone else. They have kettlebells, dynomax balls, med balls, every possible type of weight lifting machine, etc. I never get bored. Love this gym and it's worth the drive from Lincoln 4 days a week.

I would give this a 5 Star if it wasn’t for the 1 year contract and the fact that when you leave the gym you have to write a formal letter and send it in explaining why your leaving when you should just be able to go to the front desk and cancel your membership. Other than that this is by far the most diverse and complete bodybuilding gym I’ve ever been to. They don’t have a pool but honestly this gym is for people who want to get to work and perfect the physique that they want. Great staff, no gym intimidation. That is all in your mind put your headphones in, get to work and no one will bother you! I have considered dropping my rating because of the new “specials” that they have you have to pay for the amount of days in a week you workout, there is a 3 day membership a 5 day and a 7 day. I think it’s ridiculous you have to sign up and choose two days of the week and can only change those days 5 times in a year. The start up costs are really expensive. Depending on the special you could be looking at 100-200 dollars and that’s pretty absurd considering key fobs are 5 bucks tops, and monthly cost of fob activation program can’t cost more than 60 bucks a month to the gym. (I use a fob activation program) Also there is a yearly “service fee” of over 100 dollars so at the 50 dollar 24 hr access and the 150ish start up fee with a 100 dollar service charge you will be looking at paying about 800$ for the year here. That doesn’t include the fee if you change debit cards and forget to notify them or just miss a payment you are looking at another 25-60 dollar (I don’t have the exact number) late charge a pop. I get it’s a business and it’s an it has exceptional equipment like a sauna, a new leg specific room, Olympic weights, a diverse selection of machines, a martial arts room, free weights, and showers. I hope this review was detailed enough to show you what you could be getting in to joining this gym. If you go to this gym bring a notebook and make sure you have all the fees and costs written down. Don’t be late on payment, and when you leave expect to have to jump through hoops to cancel when it should just be a simple process. I would say that’s why they make it so difficult to leave because most people don’t want to go through the effort to cancel immediately. Always fact check the reviews you read (including mine) I’m just trying to help and give you an idea of the cost from a former member.

Great gym... has all the traditional weight lifting equipment you will ever need as well as a specialized heavy room. Also has a fully decked out functional fitness room that compares to any Box out there. Staff is great and cleanliness has never been an issue.
