Here's the deal, Blue Moon Fittness is a great beginner's gym the staff will be upfront and honest with you and let you know that this is not the gym for everyone...they DO NOT increase your membership fee for complaints and there is NO 12 month agreement for the basic membership. The staff is super friendly if you ever have a question about a certain lift or a workout they are always willing to help. This gym is awesome

My review of, “Blue Moon Fitness” this place is dirty, the restrooms are always dirty really, really dirty sometimes there’s human poop on the floor as they don’t allow pets in the facility I’m assuming it’s human not to mention the paper towels and toilet paper that riddle the floors in filthiness’. I was asked by Larry at the front desk to find another gym because as Larry Stated this gym isn’t for everyone and it’s definitely “NOT” for you. Sensible “RULES” What a joke, getting ousted from Blue Moon Fitness for telling them there are paper towels on floor in the restroom that is need of a serious cleaning (the restrooms are probably crawling with EBOLA). RUDE EMPLOYEES “The tall-tall employee is the rudest “the employees watch everything you do while you’re in the gym and if you break the rule your warned and they even set off a buzzer alarm then a staff comes running to you while everyone in the gym is watching you as you get reprimanded for lifting heavy weight – because at this gym lifting heavy weight is intimidating *(even if your silent as a church mouse as you lift, you’d think it would be okay right – well nope it isn’t no heavy or Olympic weight lifting or overhead press or deadlift are allowed)* to first time exercisers and that’s whom Blue Moon Fitness is geared too FIRST TIME EXERCISERS , you’d get more peace of mind if you were exercising in a prison, and it would definitely be cleaner and the prison staff would probably be nicer than the staff at Blue Moon Fitness…. Thanks for NOTHING blue moon fitness.

Of course I rate it as a zero star! I signed for $10 a month! I changed my credit card and Ms gave them my new one but somehow they didn’t update my new info. and I found out they charged me double on price saying I didn’t show them my new card! Obviously it was the employee’s fault when he didn’t update it. I went to talk to a gay who was in charge but I felt so disrespected by him and saying I was lying by not taking my new card! I will never go there again and planet fitness is a way better place and nice people. I would recommend it to friends

I have been a member here for almost 4 years and have never been disappointed with this facility. The staff is always friendly and willing to help out with any of your needs. They also are doing amazing things giving back to those with diabetes and cancer. I highly recommend this gym to anyone!

I recently tried to sign up for a membership in Omaha they told me there was fees on my account from 5 years ago in Lincoln NE. I talked to Spencer who's the highest management right under the owner Joel is what he told me. He told me it was him I dealt with 5 years ago which I remember. When he signed me up 5 years ago when it was just transforming from golds gym to blue moon I asked him specially if there was charges annual or anything coming up, he told me I just passed the time for that and nothing will be charged for annual just yet. 1.5 months later the annual charge was charged. I called and they told me there was nothing they could do and they trust their employee told me that and apparently makes no mistakes. I told them I am a store manager of Sun Tan City and I get charges that is why I asked but he specifically told me otherwise that is why I was upset more of the principal. I said okay I will go to my bank and have this charge sent back and my membership canceled. Now coming to Omaha they won't sign my up until that charge is paid from. I will be going to planet fitness now, no wonder why no one wants to go to blue moon...they sure know how to treat their customers wow....I have never owed a balance there and was completely disrespected by the staff and apparently still am. Planet fitness is by far a better choice in a gym.

Great price and great hours. I know most of the staff and everyone I know is super nice. I love that they have tanning, red light therapy, massage chairs, and a private women's gym. I highly recommend this gym.

Please do not join this club. The people working are very rude. While signing up the contract they will not disclose all the information. For me they we giving me summary of all the terms and conditions. They make u sign the documents and later on charge your account with weird amounts. When i intially signed up paper work.. they guy told me to ignore few clauses..stating the document was old. Now They have charged me.

This Blue Moon Fitness has improved so much recently! They have brought in new modern equipment which has given me real results very quickly. I honestly believe that every member should be using the Power Plate. The Management and staff are very helpful and truly care about each member. I highly recommend the personal training. I have had amazing results! An awesome gym.

This club is amazing. They replaced all their equipment a few years ago and they are currently doing an extensive remodel of the facility. I can't wait to see it when they are done. I don't understand how they can do so much and offer memberships for just $10 a month. I read some of the bad reviews and laughed. I bet they are from people who have been asked to leave the facility. What I like best is how so many of the members are regular people, not a bunch of gym people. My biggest complaint is they don't have a location in south Lincoln.

Deceptive business practices. I don't care about the equipment or services available at this point. I took our daughter in to sign her up. They hesitated and said she might not be able to sign up because of her age. Then, suddenly they had talked her into a platinum account, which included a handful of things the others did not. Guess what really never got used? Those extra services. Can we downgrade to a different type of account? Answer: Yes, but you'll have to pay the annual fee all over again. Screw it. Let's cancel ... my wife and I pay the bill, so she called to cancel, but they won't let her cancel over the phone. I stop in after work but because I'm "not the platinum card holder" (ironic, eh?) they won't allow me to cancel our daughter's membership for which we pay! They almost didn't let me sign her up, but now they won't let me cancel ... Finally we send our daughter in, and they spring the $50 cancellation fee on her. She has to pay there, so they try to say that she has to come back with one of us ... !!!!! My wife asked to speak to the employee and insisted that she must take our info over the phone. Believe it or not she agreed to that! Maybe this would be better if the employees weren't so $ hit ty about it. Maybe it would be better if they were kind/nice/helpful when informing us and collecting these fees that I'm sure were buried in fine print (so that's our bad for not being more diligent ...) The sales staff sure is friendly, until you want to cancel the services that are no longer worthwhile to you. Blue Moon's advertising makes it seem super user friendly. The facility is fine, but their business practices, for lack of a better word, suck. ALSO OF NOTE: Because we didn't cancel in a very specific window, Blue Moon is charging us for ANOTHER billing cycle. What a way to make money, Blue Moon--by confusing and deceptive practices. Even the woman who answered the phone this time acknowledged that the policy was "confusing" but insisted "that's just how our billing works." Because our cancellation is "pending" (Why can't it just be cancelled on the day we paid $50 for it to BE cancelled?) we still have to pay for a service my daughter no longer uses. There was no manager on duty when I called four days ago and I am still awaiting his call. Let's see what he has to say. I will update again once I have that conversation.

When i signed up, I wanted a years in advance they said i had buy two, so i did. Then the came out with a promotioning the next day for one year that was cheaper. When i asked if there were mats to stretch, staff came up with some BS explanation saying new work outs methods dont require that much stretching. I didnt even end my membership, just left with a big F you after they wanted to charge me to bring guest for first time. Update: why cant you respond to my comment? Look up my name and memberhip and tell me how that wasnt a scam. Also, no your prices arent better the planet fitness once you realize the random fees and bad service.

They love to charge you with fees that you wont know about till they come out of your bank. The staff fails to mention important parts of the suppose "agreement". It's the second time this happens, I'd figure I'd give them a second chance but I was wrong to do so. They'll make you sign first than they email you the agreemant. So you basically sign before you you get to see all the details. Manager told me to check the agreement. You cant see it till you sign. whats the point of checking if it's all set and done.

I couldn't ask for a better gym to call home. Their prices are extremely generous ($10 or $20 for VIP), they have an excellent equipment selection, but more importantly the staff treats me like I'm part of the family. They go over the entire agreement with you so you are aware of the details up front. For less than a dollar per day, you can't beat it. They even have massage chairs, red light therapy, I can bring my fiancé with me every time I come in and it's no cost for him. I can also visit all of the Blue Moon Fitness locations, they even have tanning which is super nice because then I don't have to pay extra for tanning somewhere else. The women's only area is where I spend most of my time, they are one of the very few places in Lincoln that offer a women's area exclusively for women.

I enjoy working out a Blue Moon. The staff is friendly and they have decent machines to get a good workout in. It's pretty busy during typical workout times like in the evening but if you find the right times to go in it's perfect. Great personal trainers too!

Don't go to this gym! When I first signed up, they explained their membership as a Month to Month payment of $10 fee each month. No one or nowhere did it say anything about a 12 month agreement. When I went back in to Blue Moon Fitness Spencer stated i had a racked up fee of $177. He stated that it had been $300+ but they took away some of the fee and "canceled your account". And this was supposedly during a 4 MONTH PERIOD! He called my gf the next day, that has nothing to do with the gym to have me call him. I called the next morning (today). He stated that he accidentally cleared my routing and billing information. And that there's a $50 fee to cancel my membership even though it was already "canceled". I used to love going here, now I want nothing to do with them!

I was a member of this gym for two years. Overall I was satisfied with the gym, especially with the prices and the staff were nice. Some of the gym equipment was wonky and needed to be worked on. Sometimes an elliptical would turn off unexpectedly or they'd be very squeaky and the clicks on one elliptical in the women's area would be loud and annoying. The biggest thing that bothered me would be that there are these rules about no talking on phones, no grunting, no slamming weights, etc but none of them are enforced despite there being multiple staff on hand when these "rule violations" incurred. The first year I was there I signed up for Pure Core PT and was satisfied despite the very pushy sales tactics from the Pure Core salesman when you first sign up for a Blue Moon gym membership. When they switched over the the XGT workout program I signed up with Pure Core again but that was when the problems began. At first my payment information was entered wrong which lead to a return payment fee that was eventually corrected and the card they already had on file expired a month later but I was completely unaware of this since no one at Pure Core decided to tell me. I got an email saying that a payment was missed (payment comes out at midnight and it was payday and another auto withdrawal beat PC to it) but a second attempt would occur later. I had assumed due to that email that my payment info was current but the second attempt never came. When I asked Jake (Pure Core Trainer) to look into it, I heard nothing come of it. I had thought that they were waiting until a late fee was incurred until they attempted another payment withdrawal so I was worried that I would be caught unaware so I cancelled my card and asked for my contract at Pure Core to be cancelled. I eventually cancelled my Pure Core contract and it cost me $450 to do so. Due to all of this and the dispute with Pure Core I ended up cancelling my Blue Moon gym membership and signed up with Planet Fitness where I don't have to pay for personal training or worry about paying a $450 termination fee. If you sign up with this gym then you should avoid signing up with Pure Core Personal Training/XGT even when they push that on you when you first sign up at Blue Moon.

The gym was alright but the manager and the owner are shady human beings. If you go to cancel your membership make sure you keep the copy of the paper you signed or they'll "lose" it and charge you for 12+ months after. I hope I get my money back so I don't have to go through the trouble of filing a small claim. By the looks of other reviews I've read, I'm not the first person to go through this! P.S. Planet Fitness is better and they keep records electronically, so they don't misplace customers documents.

I seriously LOVE working out at Blue Moon! The trainers are super nice and so is the front desk. The women's work out area is so great with a lot of different weight machines and a lot of cardio options so you don't have to wait for machines, especially if the downstairs weight area is busy. I like this place because I don't feel intimidated by working out here. I don't like to be in a gym that has "grunters" and super intense people working out in the same area. It really makes me feel uncomfortable and so I like that they enforce that rule, personally.

Blue moon fitness, where do I begin? Well I'd like to start by saying that the moment I walk in the door I feel like I'm at home. Greeted by name by the friendly staff (usually Colin at that hour). Never shamed as I saunter over to the machines for a late night workout. As beads of sweat drip from my forehead I gain appreciation for every second I'm there. A heart felt thank you is issued each and every time I leave the building, inspiring me to come back to continue the battle towards physical fitness. I give blue moon, its staff, and equipment an A+.

The manager Larry is no better. With their encouragement I stayed on task to reach my fitness goals and I love them for that. The atmosphere is great and unintimidating. Machines are kept up on and I love the red light therapy bed and massage chairs to boot. Prices are excellent and well worth it

I really love this Gym. The staff is awesome! They are encouraging and super friendly. I really like their new Matrix treadmills and elliptical great for watching Netflix, Hulu etc. sure helps make the time go by. The gym offers great equipment at an incredible value.
