I really enjoy my time I've spent at The Source - the place is always clean, and I like how it doesn't feel crowded, even when the place is busy. I did want to see mirrors in the weight room for watching form and was extremely excited when they put them up in both weight room areas, and opened up another area for stretching. I was going to another gym in town before switch to Lifestyle Fitness ( name of gym before they switched to The Source) and i always felt claustrophobic and not apart of the 'cool kid' group as they stared me down when switching from machine to machine. Since coming here, its really helped me build confidence in my workout and to feel comfortable in my own skin. I've also enjoy the layout of the lockers outside the woman's area which makes for quick grab-n-go for your stuff, open for all. Staff has always been helpful, cheerful, and upbeat. Compliant and willing when i need assistance as well.

The gym itself was fine, the staff was friendly. My problem with the source is the lack if transparency. I was in Missoula for a week and a half and figured $30 was okay for me to pay, that was what I discussed with the guy working at the time. That was my only reason for choosing source. Turns out that there was a sign up fee that I was not told about. I would never have payed $55 to workout for a week and a half in Missoula. I was duped

The Source is an amazing gym. When I first moved to Missoula, I lamented at the lack of Anytime Fitness, but the Source is a wonderful replacement when I can get there (I work third shift) The staff are friendly and very helpful, the equipment is all new and well maintained. The other patrons are fairly considerate when it comes to rotating off of machines, and the Source has a lot of classes to help you achieve the ideal body, regardless of what kind of workout you're interested in. The showers, bathroom, and steam room are all very clean and modern, and I really appreciate the free lockers. I can't say enough good things about this place, honestly. It's so nice to be in a judgement free zone when I work out and feel the most vulnerable.

I was visiting Missoula from Cincinnati for my son's graduation and needed a place to work out for the week. I was able to purchase a week pass and couldn't have been happier with the experience I had at The Source. All the equipment is first rate, the staff couldn't have been nicer and what really impressed me is the incredible attention devoted to conservation and energy efficiency. I really hated to have to leave.

We had a great time. We especially like to go to workout and exercise when we are on vacation because we can take our time and not be distracted by our busy schedules. We were in town for a week and the staff was very accommodating with a reasonable fee for repeat visits. The facility was nicely laid out, very clean, the staff was great and I especially liked the variety of virtual workouts available. There were ALOT ot people in the gym, but no waiting for machines or free weights.

For $30 a month, I have a place indoors to workout midday with multiple options to choose from, locker and showers. But the overall place is in frequent disrepair: broken shower knobs, empty soap dispensers, machines out-of-order or making noises, towels gone. The video classroom is unique and convenient. But, I would like to see the classroom status available online. It would be nice to know if someone is using it so I could alter my workout schedule for the day, and/or reserve it before heading the gym.

Quality gym at a fair price. Only 4 stars because its oversold and is quite busy on Monday-Wednesday. Equipment has some wear and tear, they usually fix it in under a month or so. Once Summer comes around it is right off the main bike path and centrally located for many city dwellers.

This is definitely the most laid-back gym I've been to. It's a great gym for people like me who have issues with working out in front of other people, as this gym is "meathead" free, and it encourages a positive atmosphere. You don't feel judged while working out. The cardio areas are upstairs, while the weights are downstairs, it has a nice track, the equipment is in good shape and even during the busiest times you can find cardio equipment. Also there is no contract so you just pay month-to-month and there was no pressure to sign up. I believe The Source genuinely wants to provide a service to Missoula, and does a great job.

I think the layout of the gym is good. They have a fair to good selection of quality weight lifting equipment. I think the cardiovascular classes and classes in general could be much better. I would like to see real instructors leading spin classes. The source has the potential to have a exciting social enviroment with the frozen yogurt bar and places to sit but from what I have seen the gym is failing to get people involved together. They need child programs and more personalized classes with more variation besides kicking and punching or just weights. The classes could be more exciting. The locker rooms are nice and have a cool way to open and lock the lockers. The showers are nice and private and the steam room is decent but small. You can get in shape anywhere. It's a matter of choosing to do so. I have a membership here and think it's a good place to go.

Don't think I've felt so connected to a gym, but my husband and I really enjoy the friendly staff and well-maintained facility. The atmosphere is comfortable and less tense than I'm familiar with with other gyms. Thank goodness!

I have been to a good amount of gyms and this one stands out. The monthly fee is very affordable and they have a good selection of treadmills and ellipticals upstairs and a track upstairs as well. My favorite is the rowing machine but that is just me. The staff always greets with a smile. The locker room is nice and you don't need to reserve a locker to use one. There is a small steam room as well and they do provide towels. My favorite part is the have an interval timer set for thirty seconds in the weight lifting area.

I've been a member at the source since they opened their new facility and would not consider leaving for another gym. I have been a member of other gyms in Missoula and they don't compare. Every staff member has been friendly, very polite, willing to help and always looking for feedback in order to improve our experience. Thanks also for keeping it affordable.

This place is awesome. Has everything that I need to get a good workout. Very clean and well organized. Not overcrowded and the staff has been very helpful. Also for 29$ a month and the initial fee it could not be more affordable. My only concern it is too good and will become crowded.

I really like the Source overall. The staff is very friendly and there are always clean towels ready. The hours are great. The facilities are clean and up to date. The on-demand virtual classes are very convenient, though on some programs the video is a half beat ahead of the sound. I wish they had more fans in the cardio area for sweaty folks. Changing rooms are large enough and have good amenities, though it is impossible to tell which lockers are empty at a glance, since they're opaque - perhaps they could have a bowl of different colored magnets that we could stick on the lockers when we're using them to help us find an open one, and help us remember where we put our stuff too. Now that it's winter, a wet-boot area might be in order, but folks are setting them on top of the lockers for now. The indoor track has lots of windows and is very pleasant. The new warm-up room is a nice addition.

I tried to give this gym a try but it just wasn't my scene. The staff are great, though. There is a small half basketball court that usually has classes in it but it's tricky to get to because you have to access it from the track. There are usually several broken machines and it is very crowded. I have gone there to work out and left 20 minutes later because I couldn't find a place to stretch or lift. The weight room is super tiny. I like the virtual studio but it's right in the middle of everything and everyone walking by gauks at you so its very awkward and streerssful to work out in there. There is no pool, no hot tub, no sauna, and no TV's. I really didn't like the vibe in there. I took my son to the day care while I worked out several times but it's super expensive. It cost more to take my son than it did for me to go work out.

Go to The Source to fall in love with your gym. It is clean and has great equipment. The locker rooms make it a clean and fresh experience before and after. The Oatmeal and Coffee bar just add a social,catering vibe. The lockers are big enough for my large backpack plus more and they are coded. Gone are the days where you rent a lock,forget to bring your own,or leave everything in the car. There are ALWAYS clean towels of different sizes. One row of treadmills is back to back with the other so you can focus. The staff is amazing and friendly. I have not had such pleasant experience with any other gym. When they say NO contract,here, they mmean it. All in all,I would recommend The Source as your source in Missoula.Highly recommend.

Today after 8 whole months of wearing the same exact outfits to the gym I was informed I was violating the dress code I had no idea about. The only female worker ran up to me to catch me after my workout, and in front of the ENTIRE male staff she informed me that by having the two inches from the top of my belly button to the bottom of my ribs showing that I was violating the dress code policy and that because I am fit it was intimidating to the other members. I was mortified. I have worked out in multiple gyms and it has NEVER been an issue. And to confront me while the whole staff (which is primarily male) was having a meeting 20 feet away was even more embarrassing. As soon as I left with my boyfriend I broke down in tears because the whole thing made me feel indecent and almost dirty simply because two inches of exposed skin.. I have seen girls in sports bras only there that have never gotten talked to, but because I'm decently fit I was chastised?And my boyfriend and many other young fit guys that go to the source wear cut tank tops that expose their whole sides of their torsos and chests but none of the workers have EVER said anything to him or any of the other guys. I was ready to just suck it up, but my boyfriend convinced me that no one should be treated that way so we canceled both of our memberships. This is not a gym for you if you're a female that likes to lift and have cute gym wear.

I switched from the Peak to the Source, and I definitely made the right decision. Great all-ages and all-abilities atmosphere, brand new energy-creating machines, good instructors for challenging courses, pretty decent locker and shower facilities, and a convenient location. Plus, they now have a relationship with the public pool down the road for lap swimming.

I had a very poor experience with the hospitality at this health club/gym. Most all places will let you (at least) use the restroom or look at the facility to see if it is a place that you would like to frequent. Talking to the front desk was like talking to a 2 year old and trying to convince them to share their toys. "It just ain't gunna happen". They are not going to see me in the Source Missoula ever again. Their business does not fit the main stream Missoula lifestyle. Why would a business send away (so willfully and uncaring) a person that is interested in their gym. My feeling are that this gym/health club is run like a large corporation without a soul. I wish i could say something nice other than, what i saw looks like a nice place, but staff and ethics are much more important to winning my business.

The people who work there, they are great. All of them are really nice, and they keep the place really clean. The gym itself, first of all, don't be fooled by the $29 a month. You'll see a hidden annual almost $100 for "maintenance fees". One word can describe the place, BORING!!!! Maybe depressing could be another way to describe the facility. The main colors are shades of grey, everything is grey, or shades of it, and black. They finally put mirrors in the weight room, but little tiny ones. Guess so many people complained, the owners thought that would suffice, but it doesn't. Don't plan of watching the game while your workout either, there are a very limited amount of TVs. If you have kids, don't plan on working out and dropping them off either. That is unless you want to pay a lot more, and very limited times when you can leave them there. If you have older kids, they don't allow them in the weight room. So if you don't have kids, don't care about your weightlifting form, can workout in a boring atmosphere, not interested on having the game on, its the perfect place!
