I've had good success. Most of the staff seems helpful and many seem knowledgeable about working out, fit themselves. I had no problem having a new card made on the spot, when there had been a gap in my membership and didn't have the old one. This gym does offer tanning, although I can't say how often they replace their bulbs. There are signs of lack of maintenance: equipment not working, missing fasteners, and generally some stuff going wonky as if the owner doesn't care or take an interest in running his facility, which seems to be the case no matter which one Fuel I go into. I'd give 5 stars if they tidied up the edges, and kept it being a top fitness facility. Planet is moving into Montana, and their rates of $10/m no contract for local users, and a little over double that for those who want to move around and use expanded facilities, will undercut Fuel's price, and the only way Fuel can differentiate is by making it, or keeping it, a serious weight-training gym. Not a Gold's (or ex-Gold's) that can become almost cult-like, but also not a Lunk-Alarm that Planet has as they seem to cater to soccer-moms.

My daughter and I were considering joining because of the classes offered. Because Fuel website does not have an updated, current class schedule posted I called (twice) to request a one be emailed to me. I spoke to two employees who told me only the manager could email a schedule to me because they are not permitted to use the computer. It's been 5 days and I'm still waiting ...

My favorite gym in Billings! Clean, excellent trainers, usually not terribly busy, and after your done working out be sure and try one if their signature protein shakes!!

Well priced, new equipment. They maintain things well, if something is broken they fix it. Clean bathrooms. I would have given it five stars but the music they play all the time is always the same and it's always terrible. It was better for a few days and guy behind counter said they stopped using radio. Now there are no commercials but it sucks more. I know kids like this stuff, which is admittedly the whole gym, so I hate to complain, but really a little more variety would be good. I can put in headphones but have to play them too loudly. And really, how much Sirius Venus, rap and Cardi B can you take without brain damage? The other night I left early because it was unbelievably bad and too loud. But whole family is enrolled here so changing would be hard.

The absolute worst service I have ever received at a fitness facility. For the amount of money paid for membership it is not worth what you get. I recommend shopping around, at one of the many gyms in the area, where the employees and management team actually care about their members.

Not impressed with the system they have. Very inconsistent with the employees. Even though I’ve moved and want to cancel my membership they continuously are charging my account. Their claim is that i signed a 1 year contract which is untrue. I’m looking forward to creating a case against them.

I’m giving a 3 for cleanliness. We have been members for a long time but have only gone sporadic for health reasons. Today we decided to ask for help with the machines. Yes, I’ve used other gym machines but these are a bit different. So for safety I prefer to know and understand. The only staff person on duty had zero clue on the machines and literally said so. Their newest machines when you first come in he admits that he stays away from them. That he has no idea how they work. WTF management. That’s a definite accident ready to happen. I was pretty disappointed going in with not very high expectations but, even those were squashed with an incompetent employee that really doesn’t care about his job.

Nice gym. It's not too busy later at night which I like. Wish the bathrooms we're a little cleaner. And wish they changed out the towels to wipe down the machines more often.

My favorite gym in town! New equipment is great! Classes offered are at no extra charge with a gym membership. Fuel offers a free three day pass for anyone curious about joining. There is also a day care for those who are interested. Locker room remains clean - I have never seen it a mess over the year+ I've been going here. Definitely recommend, especially since Fuel is open 24 hours.

The reason I'm giving this gym a one star is because I signed up well over two weeks ago and I still don't have my card to swipe in. I've asked over and over again, all the employees could tell me is that the manager, Todd, rarely comes in and he's the only person who could put information in the computer to have the cards made. I've called probably about 10 times to try to reach him. Nothing. Anytime fitness might get my business back really quick.

The most important part of picking a gym for me is where I feel comfortable going. Not only do I feel comfortable but they are staffed 24hours, have a juice bar and, my favorite, have a daycare and even help my son with his homework. Thank you for making it easy for someone who never goes to the gym to want to go to the gym! :)

Really liked this gym. Open 24 hours so if you can't sleep you can go work out. Good locker rooms, bathrooms and showers. New equipment, with sanitizer and towels all over, so you can wipe down any machine before and after you use it. Good staff.

The gym and the staff itself are absolutely phenomenal but the high schoolers that hang around all of the equipment while you are trying to work out is very annoying.... not to mention, tying up three machines in the process.
