Pretty dirty and moldy. A lot of equipment needs to be repaired instead of duck taped. Ended up switching to Coops gym in saginaw.

Best gym I've ever been to. Tons of machines! The cardio selection alone is amazing. They have a separate room for just machines to do different body areas and behind all of the cardio is all of the weight lifting equipment. There is also 24 hr access to the pool, hot tub and sauna. Best money I have spent on a gym.

Fantastic friendly staff and a wide variety of features at this gym. VIP membership includes such perks as tanning, Fit Camp, and even haircuts. Possible the best value I have ever gotten from a gym membership.

I would normally have given this place a 5 star rating but since going to their member-only access on weekends with a key swipe and not having any active staff on hand means that out of town people like me have to go elsewhere for our workouts. Too bad as I've been going to Old Town for the past 20 years every time I'm in Bay City for a visit. Guess I'll have to go elsewhere ...

Great place! The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly! They definitely have everything I need to get the job done. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because they were not willing to work with me about the 8 months I had not attended. I was hoping to count it toward the 3 months (per year) that we can pause the membership which credits it at the end. Otherwise, great gym, I'd suggest to others for sure.

i’ve been working out here for over a year and the place has only declined since i started coming here (september 9/20/17) if you are looking for a new gym i would definitely recommend coops gym in saginaw. this place is just a scam, randomly my credit card will get charged or ray will implement some new rule where i have to pay him more money just to workout! not worth your time.

Friendly staff here who seem to be trying to make a nice gym experience for the community. There are a few minor problems here: some of the equipment needs maintenance or replacement (e.g. Torn seats/pads, scraped paint, wobbly handle bars). Also, there should be pool hours for kids and pool hours for adults or some way for the community to know when a pool party for kids is coming up. Yesterday, there were some permissive parents who were apathetic about their kids repeatedly doing cannonballs and splashing the faces of myself and other guests who were trying to relax or do gentle workouts. A few of us left when one of the adults threw sinking pool toys for the kids into the crowded pool and nearly hit a woman in the face. This is behavior of certain guests and not the fault of the staff, but something needs to change as lots of young kids spontaneously and unexpectedly having a pool party has happened before. Again though, nice staff who seem to be community-minded, so have a look and see if OTG is for you. 6/4/17 Edit: I decided to change the review from 4 to 5 stars. I don't know if staff read the reviews or someone else independently voiced concerns, but it seems like more postings around the pool area or other changes have helped members develop some pool etiquette. In my humble opinion, the next step towards perfection for this gym is really just general maintenance/repair - replacing some torn equipment pads, tightening screws, painting scratches, etc. I'm pretty happy about this place overall.

A good solid all-around fitness center that can accommodate most everyone's fitness needs. It is open 24/7 has plenty of free weights, lifting machined, cardio machines and a pool with hot tube. Very well maintained with clean workout areas, brightly lit with plenty of extras included in with membership.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I saw this log cabin set back from the road, but I was pleasantly surprised once I got inside. This gym has everything you might need, 24-hour access, free weights, machines, treadmills, classes, pool. The gym wasn't crowded any of the days I was there (had a 1 week membership while visiting family). The machines and weights are a bit cramped together, but this is to fit the most options in a small space. Place was clean, and offered all right things to meet my needs. I will use this gym again next time I come to Bay City.

Sad VIP membership purchased for three years. Old town gym still advertises massage chairs on the web site. Used the gym every day! They had two that worked two years ago. One broke early this year and was removed. The other has been out of service for months. As of yesterday the massage chairs that have yet to be replaced or repaired as stated by the owner. Other services included in membership are now available at additional charges! Buyer beware!!!!!

Better than PF. This gym has everything you need! Smoothie bar, daycare, pool and hot tub access, a huge plethora of workout machines. Definitely the best gym in the area.

Been working out here over 3 years and honestly I wish I haven’t been. Don’t use this gym! Their money system is all messed up! They’ve overdrafted my bank account several times, even charged me twice before! There’s a lady that works there that’s super rude whenever I ask her anything she’s short and has an attitude and this isn’t just like once it’s ALL the time! The gym itself is okay but it’s always too many people and you can never get a good workout in also these people don’t clean after themselves so half the time you gotta scrub things before you use them. The second I can I’m switching back to planet I’m so glad to finally be out of contract!!!!! Don’t sign a contract people!!!!!!!!!!!!

This gym just like most are a bunch of scam artists. When I first started going I was offered a "free health assessment" which turned out to be nothing but a high pressure sales pitch for personal training. Then when I turned it down they pushed and pushed my wife until we felt guilty and signed up. So about $600 later of "personal training" I felt no better about the situation. Of course I tried to cancel the training citing the pain they gave me and it was a large cancellation fee. The trainer pushed me so hard the 2nd time I was there I almost had to go to the doctor (and should have) because i hurt something in both arms and had major pain. I even had to call out of work one day because of it. More $$$ lost. Then they like to hit you every year with an "enhancement fee". More $$$. If you want out of the membership there is a cancellation fee of $150. More $$$. All this place cares about is your money. You will get nickle and dimed to death. It may seem like a good deal for whatever monthly fee they offer but DON'T SIGN THAT CONTRACT!!!!!!! Invest your money in a home gym. Trust me don't give these thieves your hard earned money! Nothing but a scam!!!

Best gym in the area. I was going to the one Saginaw and it was run down - In all fairness it recently switch owners and that's being taken care of. That said, in my opinion is still a much better in terms of quality and value for your money. Also the gym is very well kept and the employees are great. If you are on the fence with joining, just pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed.

Solid gym, love the 24/7 access. Only downside is if you enjoy swimming or the hot tub, weekends and holidays are a no go as the owner likes to let friends and families come swim, leaving the pool and locker room full of kids. Sorry but when I hop in the hot tub I don't want to listen to kids screaming. Again I'd be fine with that if the owner had made it clear when I joined that there are often kids parties on weekends, but there was never any mention of it. When I brought it up to the owner he basically brushed it off and told me that it's not going to change. He basically uses this place as a party for his kids and his friends. Adding insult to injury him and his family dont follow their own gym rules they so vigilantly enforce.

I travel for work and the closest gym was over an hour away. A quick google search and old town popped up as well as planet fitness. Called both places and the staff member at old town was much more helpful and friendly when I asked about a day pass. Also half the cost of planet fitness. I was more then impressed with the selection of weights, machines, and cardio equipment! Staff was also very friendly when I came in and the overall atmosphere was great! I even noticed some class was being held in a pretty large back room separate from the weight area. I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area. I was staying in Midland and the 18min drive was worth it!

Extremely dissapointed with the unprofessional customer service. The gym itself is clean with a decent variety of machines. I had issues cancelling my membership they make it difficult. I was way overcharged multiple times. Buyer beware read your contract word for word. Unethical billing practices and awful customer service they could not answer basic questions. Even when asked politley. Listened to my mom get talked to in an extremely condescending way by staff and they refused to allow her to talk to anyone else. There are plenty of gyms out there. Dont let this one take advantage of you. Unfortunately i have talked to others who also had issues with their intentionally decieving contract. Would not reccomend this at all.
