A little crowded at times and hard to find equipment but a very nice gym. Keeps the gym very clean and continues to update and fix the gym. This crunch also has regular tanning and spray tanning.

Honestly this place is a disgrace. I get that I come during “peak” hours and I expect it to be busy but even the members during this time are rude and disrespectful. If you want to get a workout in using free weights after 5, good luck because everyone hoards the dumbbells leaving you with next to nothing. It also just seems to always feel dirty. I’ve tried to give this place a chance as it’s a little bit closer to me when I’m coming from work but I think I’ll pass.

RIP off especially when u try and cancel and if you're successful at canceling or even getting a refund for personal training ect they still steal money from your account even after that. Fraudulent company! If you try and contact corporate managers all numbers are nonexistent or nonworking. Also in order to cancel you have to pay additional fees of $65.

I am temporarily in Dearborn for the summer, but this is by far the best gym I’ve been to. It’s so clean and nice, and I’m impressed how many group classes there are to choose from, and high quality, for a great price. I don’t think any other gym can come close!

Really liked this new gym. Two of my friends have now signed up for it. It has some things that other gyms don't offer, like erg machines, tires and a sauna in the locker rooms. It is a no judgement zone and the staff is friendly.

It definitely has good machines and things to do, but I don't appreciate the culture that is put out there. It feels like a "buff/fit people only" gym, despite the fact that a gym can help people get in shape. A lot of people stare at others and seem judgemental. One of the personal trainers I was put with for my kickoff event was acting like the most condescending person, saying things like, "You're lucky I'm feeling nice because I would have made you break my record on this machine," and, "I'm surprised you were able to do this exercise." Perhaps it was his humor, but I do not think that was the case. I'm going to the gym to get in shape, and I am feeling judged in that environment for not already being that way (by both the patrons and the staff). I am sure that they only do kickoff events in an attempt to sell you personal training services, and not to simply show you some exercises you can do at the gym. I barely make rent sometimes and felt too pressured to buy (despite me having no money) and do not feel like I could go back without being hounded about it. I'm glad I got the no-contract option. Another $5 (on top of the $40-something yearly fee) was worth it to not be stuck there.

The facility is fine for the money, but the staff is a bunch of liars who only try and push a sale onto you. When I was making my membership I was told by the employee helping me that I would have no cancellation fees if I signed up on that day. Fast forward 3 months and for medical reasons I need to cancel I realize that not only did he sign me up for the yearly membership, there WAS a cancellation fee. And when I had brought this up to a manager all I heard was “you signed it not me” and it almost seemed like she was making fun of me for my medical reasoning as to why I wanted to cancel in the first place, which gave me a scam type of feel and honestly I’m happy to be out of there. I would consider going again but now that I know what kind of tricks they’re up to for all I know the staff will be the ones who break into my locker and steal something from me. Go to another gym in the area if you can, this facility and it’s staff are a bunch of frauds if I could rate 0 I would save your money and your time

*Updated review*. I spoke with the owner who explained the ID policy to me. He elaborated that IDs are held only for guests using the facility, not for new people signing up. Thanks for clarifying and addressing the issue. I dont hand my ID over for a tour... *update 2* equipment is good. Moderately crowded with douchebags, but that is expected. If you pay in full, you dont have to give them your bank info, which no sane person should do.

Crunch is the place to be if you are trying to look good, feel good, or be good. It has so many opportunities for its members and is filled with different equipment. Their employees are also wonderful especially Issa. Issa helped me sign up to the gym. He was very kind, respectful, and professional. An absolute joke of a gym, they obviously favor those who pay more by letting classes take up half the turf and all the bands and stretching equipment by the pull up bars, god forbid you wanted to use the sleds or do farmer walks for more than 10 steps. The absolute worst thing about this place are these little publicity events they have every few months where they give away free food and pack the gym full of people that take up space, wander around getting in the way, eat the free food and never come back. It's very obvious that they care more about their public and social media image than being an actual decent place to get a lift in.

First time going to this gym and lets just say the front desk guys weren't very friendly. I had a free guest pass for a week, they ask to hold my ID until I leave the building. I ask why? They responded because its part of the rules. After signing my name on the tablet I stand there waiting to see if I was going to get a tour around the building they just told me "I'm all set." Meaning I have to tour around myself. Luckly, a trainer name "Mike" was around, he took his time to show me around and was open to answer any question I had. Overall, the gym is nice and I appreciate Mike help.

Has mostly everything you need to condition your body with regards to weights and cardio equipment. I was surprised to see heavy bags here with an inside turf space for pushing weighted sleads. The Dearborn location has two group fitness classrooms; one for spin classes and the other a large room with mirrors and trx straps lining the wall for various fitness classes. Lastly, they have a daycare option for your young children to enjoy while you get your workout in!

It’s seems good that this fitness franchise is expanding in Michigan. There are a couple of concerns: the location is not a good one due excessive police presence in the area, the club colors are somewhat not appealing, and the behavior of some of the clientele who frequented the Planet Fitness on Ford road in Dearborn with so much arrogance and actually resides in in the city of Dearborn. With these factors in my mind, I will not be racing to get a membership anytime soon. If there were franchise openings in Southgate, Wyandotte or Woodhaven, then maybe I will consider a membership.

The gym was nice however the staff was not helpful or friendly. I went in with my boyfriend and went to the front desk and told them we had a free guest pass from online the guy just stood there for a minute confused and so I said asked well if their was anything we needed to do or fill out. He then had us fill some stuff out on the tablet I stood there for few minutes expecting to have someone give us a tour, information anything about the gym. But nothing lol They said we were all set and that's it so off the bat I was annoyed and already was not liking the gym. So I asked questions about classes and schedules and boxing stuff and instead of walking us over or explaining things he just stood there and pointed. After that we went walking around on our own stayed for 20mins probably checked out some machines and then got our ids and left. I understand they are new and just opened but the front desk service and staff that was there was just horrible and the experience was totally ruined within the first 5mins of being at the desk. I was really excited to check this gym out and possibly join because of the price and the classes that's offered but after this experience I will not be returning and will be taking our business elsewhere unfortunately.

Greety owner. I signed up for a 3 month commitment with a trainer. I honored my payments, but hardly ever used the trainer, because they kept quitting. One of the trainers said they were getting paid do low, it wasn't doable. Out of the 3 months, I probably only used the trainer 5 times (vs 12), and every time a different one. I didn't know after the 3 months it was recurring, so the day after I saw the charge, I went to get it cancelled and refunded for that payment, manager said no and said I could use it instead. I can't use it because how unreliable the trainers are. What's worse is the attitude. Crunch fitness acts like they are the only gym in town. I cancelled my entire membership and moving to Planet Fitness. What a waste of money!

Wonderful and well maintained gym to work out. If you like intensity work out. Especially group classes and definitely RIDE!!! Aniya is always helpful.. They have great instructors like Kelly. If you're sore after the workout, you should try the hydro massage.

I really enjoy being a member of this gym as it is close to my house and they offer group classes and other amenities. The cleanliness is an issue and their seems to be a problem with the paper towel dispensers either malfunctioning or being empty. There is definitely room for improvement.

When i was signing up i asked them if it would be okay to workout on my own because im 15 years old they employee said yeah. And when i went to workout they said i couldnt because i am under 16 yrs of age. And this was my first time going to crunch and i couldnt workout, so basically i spent 50 bucks for nothing. Crunch fitness is a good gym. Friendly staff like other location, good price compare to Lifetime. $10/month for basic. Dearborn location is pretty big and they stay open late on the weekend. BUT it is kinda messy and dirty compare Farmington hills location. Plates are everywhere when I went. People need to clean up after themselves

This gym has very poor management. It’s understaffed, and when I wanted to cancel my membership they told me I couldn’t cancel unless I payed for 3 month and the maintenance fees, they are very greedy. I don’t recommend this gym.

i’ve been a member of this gym since the day it opened. there’s a plethora of gym equipment so there’s hardly ever a wait, which i so appreciate. in addition, i’ve had great experiences with all of the fitness instructors i’ve been able to workout with (Kelly, Abida, Aida, and Christine are all fantastic). i’m sure the other instructors and personal trainers are great as well. i have noticed a recent change in staff, though. i imagine there’s been some changes in management which has pushed some of the staff members i enjoyed interacting with out of the gym. thank God they’ve been able to keep Eric though!!! i appreciate his welcoming spirit so much. although he’s an incredible one man show in the mornings, i hope they have plans to hire another staff member so that he doesn’t have to work the front desk, handle janitorial duties, and keep the gym floor tidy all by himself during the early morning shift. in general, i would also recommend that management hires janitorial staff to make sure everything’s nice and tidy in the locker rooms...on a regular basis. it’s too nice of a facility for their to be gum in the cupholders of a stair master or for the automatic soap dispensers to not always remain filled. i think cleanliness is one area where Planet Fitness shine! it may seem small, but these things make a difference in member experience (we talk about it in the locker rooms everyday...). all in all, i’d recommend (and already have) this gym to anyone!

Was going to make the switch from planet fitness and LA fitness, but decided not to since they're money hungry just like those went obsolete. Be aware of their click bait where you go in and end up with something else. RESPOND TO THE OWNER : I called Crunch on Black Friday to check if any sale being offered. I was told that Crunch having Initiation fee reduced to $1. After getting to Crunch and waiting 10 minutes to speak with someone, I was pretty much told that if sign up and pay more for things that I will never use then I will get the deal.

I’ve been a member of Crunch before this location open. When the gym first opened management did an awesome job making you feel apart of the crunch family and showcase gym that didn’t make it feel like all the other gyms around metro Detroit. Currently new management has taken over and the gym doesn’t have the same vibe. Employees are walking around giving you warnings about not following the rules compared to coming over and helping you with your workouts. The facilities are always dirty now, bathrooms have no soap or toilet paper. The women restroom needs more vanity and mirrors so the morning crowd isn’t on top of one another trying to get ready. Overall Crunch went from a cool gym were you felt apart of a family to another LA, Lifetime or Planet Fitness.

I am Posting this so others have insight on the harassment and discrimination that happend to my girlfriend and I at the gym from the employees . We have been with the gym since the gym first opened. The gym has a high turn over rate with employees and one day my girlfriend and I were working out With each like we have been doing for a long time now. One of the new employees comes up to me and starts accusing me of doing personal training with my girlfriend. I know that outside personal trainers are not aloud to do personal training in the gym because thats how they make their money but this new employee came up to me and accused me of personal training my girlfriend and he told us that we had to leave. We were both working out at the same time like normal just like any other person would with their gym buddy or significant other. At this point i had no idea why he singled us out and accused us of personal training. We went to the front of the gym to speak with the manager and she said it wasnt her call it was the owners who were watching the cameras and they wanted me kicked out. I asked her why we were being singled out for doing nothing more than working out with each other. She said i dont know maybe "" its because of the way you look"" thats why they are watching you on the cameras...i didnt know how to take that at first, she told me it is because of how i look. I have this all recorded on video by the way. I felt very discriminated against and embarrassed as all this is happening in front of all the other members of the gym. Now as all this is happening another employee at the gym is defending me and pleading to the manager that i am Not a personal trainer and that we only work out with each other. She didnt want to hear it and we had to leave. I called the owners of the gym and asked them if it was true that they have been watching me on the cameras and wanted me to leave. He said ""No i have no idea of this situation"". I have this saved in my text messages to show that she was lying about this. The manager called me a few days later apologizing for the Employees actions who told us we were kicked out and she said it was just a big misunderstanding and that she apologizes. I have this voicemail recording saved. I come back to the gym a few days later and the employee who accused me of personal training and had me kicked out kept giving me dirty looks from across the gym making the situation even more uncomfortable. So i went home and left a 1 star review here on google. At the time i didn't write any context i just left a 1 star review. That same night the owner of the gym text me on my phone"" Nice 1 Star Review... Classy"... ..Now to preface what lead me to writing this review. I Worked for the gym when it first opened and i put alot into that place. I helped during the initial construction phase bringing in equipment getting the gym set up. I worked hard and promoted the gym even long after i stopped working there. I built a great relationship with alot of the staff and members but what lead me to leave was the downward spiral the gym went through. Like i said the gym has a large turnover rate and the employee who accused me of personal training did not know that i was a former employee. When an employee quits they have to have written consent from one of the owners that they are allowed to come back as a member and work out. I did get written consent through email from the owner that i was aloud to come back and work out. After this whole situation happend where my girlfriend and i were accused and harassed and discriminated against i left a 1 star review and that prompted the owner to tell me that my membership was terminated effective immediately. Ive witnessed over the past few months employees walking up to members and threatening to call the police on them for the littlest things like having their gym bags on the floor. The gym is ""judgement"" free but if you are in shape you will be accused of being a personal trainer and harassed and kicked out. without any question. This gym has no morals.

I’m not a big reviewer, but I must give credit where credit is due. This place is amazing. Clean, modern, friendly staff, great clientele. Everyone is there to help. Other members are kind and courteous, and while many are near body builder level, they never make others feel intimidated or unwanted. Seriously, the culture being bred here is fantastic. Locker rooms are clean and well kept. Honestly, it was hard finding a gym that met my high standards in this area (I work and live in Dearborn) so I was driving 30 each way to lifetime in Canton. But this place had everything I “need” and then some. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

Rules started to change . No judgement, yeah right...... the new one of no gym bags on floor really, to the ones who lift and all we have wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, and stuff to help with different parts of gym experience, so now everytime i need something instead of grabbing it out of my bag i am supposed to go to locker room. So stop working out to grab. And other new rules from when i signed up and told something different. Becoming more and more like planet fitness

Aniya was great to talk with yesterday. She gave us our CRUNCH tour, explained the set up, to the classes and the memberships. She knew we were there just to check it out. Well I signed up that day and discontinued my other gym membership. I'm looking forward to the small group training on the turf and getting some rides early in the morning!! I'm also looking forward to meeting new friends. PS - I'm winning the Harley ;)

Refreshing change of pace for Dearborn. An affordable real gym that destroys Planet Fitness, with weights that go up to 120LBs, more machines than you know what to do with, and every accessory a gym needs. Oh, and a friggin sauna. Your first visit is free, so it's definitely worth checking out. Bring headphones, though. The music they play is a huge pump killer. - A.H.

I went into this gym very excited of everything they had to offer. The vibe was very positive and I loved it. But I’ve recently discovered that I was lied to by the employee who signed me up. I was told my guest would have unlimited privileges in which was the selling point for me. I had really wanted someone to join cycling with me and the employee ensured that we would be able to have unlimited access to these classes. Turns out my guest was not able to participate in any classes for free and I actually wasn’t allowed to attend cycling either LOL .I’m so upset that I wish I could cancel now but there’s a large cancellation fee. I can’t wait for my contract to be up so I can switch. Be very careful signing contracts with these people. Make sure you read everything!!! I thought I would be fine asking questions to make sure it was everything I wanted but no. I would much rather go somewhere who isn’t going to lie to get my money. Cough cough planet fitness down the road .. that was my original gym wish I never left.

I would like to add to make sure you guys before signing up read everything in there agreement because they will not give you a valid explanation on all the fees. You think your paying 9.95 but you really are not. You get charged an annual fee and a start up fee and fees just keep adding on. This place is horrible.

Been going there for a few weeks now and honestly I love it! The staff is nice and helpful. The gym is clean, the barbell section is amazing (different colors of weights!!!). I also enjoy the hydromassage chair after working out. I would recommend bringing a towel since they do not provide any.

My nephew and I were shopping around for a gym to join in the area and he mentioned that a new place opened up near by. I was reluctant at first b/c I've had numerous gym memberships over the years and many were nothing to write home about. Boy was I wrong! This is one, if not, the cleanest, comfortable, and most well equipped gyms I've joined. Sue and Abdul met us at the front desk and spoke to us as if we had known them for years. Showed us around and found us a membership that fit our needs without being pushy or aggressive. One of the greatest things about this place is there are multiple machines so your not waiting around losing time and energy. Also, the variety is excellent. There is a machine or station for any muscle isolation or fitness regiment that meets your needs. Very spacious, temperature controlled, clean, and staff always available for questions. Once we started our workout, we didn't want to leave and once we finished we were already discussing the next days routine. In other words, the problem with most gyms is that you get into a rut after 2 or 3 months and either go less frequently or stop going all together but due to the variety at Crunch, I can't imagine that will be a problem. I highly recommend that any one who has reservations about joining a gym or fitness center just stop by for a tour. You'll surely be impressed. RM

I’ve had memberships with multiple gyms and by far crunch staff have been the nicest and friendliest. No run around or lies with the membership fees. They’re upfront and unbeatable prices as well. The free weights are amazing and amount of squat racks is unbeatable.

I go early in the morning. The door guy Eric is the man. He makes the entire atmosphere better and creates a welcoming environment at the gym. Otherwise the gym is very clean and the equipment is well maintained.(I assume this is mostly because of Eric) My only complaint is the owner called my coworker and accused him of being a personal trainer because he was helping me and another coworker of mine with some workouts we were not accustom to without ever being in the gym to witness it himself. It was very unprofessional and rude.

I love being a member at Crunch Dearborn. It's a very clean gym with new equipment, a functional training area, an Olympic training area, and miles of cardio equipment. I am a member of LA fitness and Planet Fitness, and I will be going to Crunch Dearborn and cancelling my La fitness membership.

I was looking for just one month subscription and i was lied by their employee who signed me up. i believed him and when told to sign, I signed the agreement without reading it and found it to be 12 months contract. There records clearly shows i checked in for just first 3 days of my joining. and i later realised, i was getting monthly charged for 5 months. I was even charged $59 as cancelled fee when i told them to cancel this scam subscription. Would never ever step in crunch or recommend others.

So I just went up to get some info about the gym, and to get a first impression, but with intentions of signing up on the spot, unfortunately my first impression was only half good. First off it looked understaffed, the person at the reception was doing multiple things while talking to me, he did answered my questions I was disappointed he didn't try to sign me up even after I said I really wanted to sign up, I think I needed that extra push from him, but it never happen instead he basically deliver me out the door with his lack of attention again due to being by himself checking in people and stuff. The gym did look clean, I liked the fact that the parking seemed packed but inside it wasn't I was surprised by that, it may be because of so many machines which is good. I was hoping for a tour, just so I could see the bathroom and locker room areas which are very important for me, for now I'll wait to see what my friends think before we sign up.

Very friendly staff and a great environment to workout in. I haven't had a bad experience there and it hasn't been too busy in my experience which is always a plus. In personally think there should be recycling bins around and paper towels in the locker rooms. They're improving stuff every day and the open house was a good time.

Great gym, nice equipment and nice people working there. One and only bad thing. Nobody racks their weights!! Well not everyone, but alot of people leave a mess behind them. Maybe some signs to rack the weights or people telling them to. I hear alot of people complain about it. Just my 2 cents. Besides that, love the place!

Crunch in general is a great gym with a range of membership options. I prefer the Westland location because the space is larger and brighter. The staff at the Dearborn location is the worst. I wish I got the names of the two girls working today. Never have I been treated with such little respect. Management at this branch should reconsider who they hire as the welcome staff because those girls are awful and not efficient.

I really like this Crunch! Best one in the area. The staff is super cool and professional. The instructors are great. I love the variety of classes they offer especially yoga...for those healing from injury. They even have childcare. At first, I thought it was dog day care by glancing at the signage haha.

I usually workout in the mornings. The morning employee named Eric is awesome. He will address all of your concerns and go the extra mile for you. Crunch is lucky to have someone like Eric and is an asset to the company. I think his coworkers can learn a thing or two from him.

I worked out here as a guest with two friends. I like how everything is organized in this gym; lots of space and lots to do. They have a whole little patch of turf to run on. I'm not really a gym enthusiast but I felt comfortable here. I wish there was a location closer to my neck of the woods.

Fees, fees, fees, fees. They want to be Planet Fitness SO bad except it's way more expensive and much less responsive. Read the reviews, the owner encourages you to email him, which I did a week ago to no avail. I was baited in by a promotion with 1 day left in the month only to be billed again two days later. I still have yet to receive the promo that reeled me in, nor a response. I joined Blink Fitness today AFTER visiting the Crunch in Westland. I'm not impressed. It serves me well for buying online via clickbait promos that have yet to materialize, six weeks after signing up. I am counting down the 10.5 months left on this contract...

Group workouts take up half the gym for most of the day, and you're lucky to find a free machine. Youll also be locked into a 1 year contract that isn't mentioned when you sign up with a $60 cancelation fee

They have a really really terrible cancellation policy. One month before my membership end date, I talked with their staffs several times. I told them I will move out of Dearborn and need to cancel my membership. They told me that I should come in right at the end of my membership day. So I came in at the right time but they still automatically charge me annual fee plus monthly fee. The manager was so helpless. She couldn’t help me get refund back. I came to chase and report the transaction claim. Chase proves my claim and refunds my money.

I canceled my member ship in July 2018 and this place keeps charging me and my son the monthly fees until July 2019 they charged me 58 each member. So I paid money for no service. I went today 7-3-2019 to the place and I spoke with the manger.Nick- GM . And he told me he doesn’t have anything showing in his system and nothing he can do . He can cancel it now and all the money is gone . I gave him the clerk and the person who served me that time and he told me they don’t work here anymore! I asked him to give me my money back and he said he can’t do anything for what happened just eat the cost! BAD SERVICE BAD MANAGEMENT STEALING MY FAMILY MONEY FOR A YEAR . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL NOW I HAD TO TAKE THEM TO THE COURT.
