Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Fitness Director Mrs Marcia-Ra-Akbar this young lady embraced and welcomed me as if we have know each other for years !!! We discussed my Goals and set the plan, I am super excited to be part of this club and especially working with Marcia on my Goals !!!

My 'home' club is technically Eldersburg, but the great thing about Merritt is that they let you use all of their gyms. I went to the Owings Mills location and it was great. Even though the gym is smaller than Eldersburg, they have all of the equipment that I want. I go late at night when nobody is there and pretty much have the gym to myself. The staff is friendly and they keep the equipment in good condition. I would definitely recommend this gym to anybody looking for a new membership.

Awesome staff, clean club, great classes and a variety of equipment. The club has a great vibe and a family feel, very friendly members. Great energy in the building. I work out 4-5X per week, and always have a great experience. Miss Pat and the rest of the front desk staff are amazing and always make you feel welcomed!!!!!

Good local gym based on its size. If you’re looking for hundred of pieces of equipment then this location is not for you. If you are tight with the wallet and this is the only location you plan to use, and you do not plan on taking advantage of the other locations that comes with your membership, then this gym is probably not for you. I enjoy the convenient location and the 24 hour access. This location offers enough equipment to get a nice workout in and to bulk up. My only issue isn’t related to the gym, but those members that lack gym etiquette (talking loud, slamming equipment, not re-racking weights, leaving trash on the floor, etc).

The manager, Stacy is very rude. I called asking a simple question and she had a bad attitude, making me not even want to come to this gym! They really need new management.

We have been members for a while now and love this gym. It is small but has great spaces, good equipment and friendly staff. Ray Kabia is an instructor for a Les Mills BodyPump class on Monday and he is BRILLIANT!!! His class is worth the membership fees on it's own. It is a fantastic all body workout, he has excellent form and makes the workout super fun. The gym is open 24 hours and offers group classes like spinning, bodypump, yoga...etc, their schedules are online. It does not have a pool. I would definitely recommend this gym and the classes.

My husband and I signed for a trial period today and we showed up and the young lady at the front desk said unfortunately we would not be able to use the trial period today. That was fine, but you would think that her customer service skills would kick in and recommend talking to someone about possibly joining or at least giving us a tour around the gym and possibly recruit 2 potential customers. Not going back. I'd rather pay twice as much to a gym with better customer service.

I believe my interaction was with the general manager, and she was very rude. Instead of trying to help, she got a rude tone and then proceeded to assist someone else just completely disregarding me. Customer service skills are lackin.

I really like this Merritt Location. I drive out of my way even there are closer gyms to my home because I feel comfortable there. I am a stick-to-myself type of person, and I find most people to be respectful. There are some typical gym-goers that don't clean up after themselves, but I feel like that's anywhere. I have found myself unloading 400 pounds from bars before because some people are too lazy to do it themselves, but it's not like that all of the time. My only suggestion would be to add another bench rack.. with there only being 2, sometimes it's hard to get a spot in the busy hours. But overall, I've been coming here for almost 3 years and it's a really great place for the average person wanting to stay in shape

I became a member in 2014 and at that time this gym felt like one big family. The customer service here has spiraled down since the new manager Stacey replaced Denzlow. I've since cancelled my membership and joined No Limits training facility where my business is appreciated. There are far too many facilities in the Owings Mills/Reisterstown area to tolerate poor customer service.

Great place with great trainers/employees! Matt helped me out with my monthly bill, which he didn't need to do. Jamie was by far the most helpful physical trainer I've ever worked with. She helped me with ideas about my diet, stretching, and tailored a work out for my specific needs. She knows her stuff!! Mike also is a great physical trainer!

Being able to work out during the blizzard of 2016 when everything else was closed warrants 24 hour Owings Mills Merritt Athletic Club receiving a 4 star rating. Fix my favorite stair stepper machine and I will up the rating to 5 stars.
