HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE OWNER! I canceled my family membership in the winter of 2019 due to family matters, as I wasn’t able to visit the gym for months. The initial cancelation was a bit of a struggle, even though they are on a month to month membership structure. It finally was canceled and everything was fine. Months later, I get a random charge on my credit card for $8.16. I emailed and asked them what this was, and to reverse the charge since, from months before, I canceled my membership. Weeks went by without a response, so I emailed again and firmly asked to have this refunded. The next morning, I get a call from the gym owner ‘kelvin’ I believe his name is, saying that he didn’t appreciate the disrespect and the threatening email that he received from me. He said he responded to my original email ‘immediately’...however I never received it. He then went on to mock me, and said if I physically drove up to the gym he’d just hand me $8.16. However, he then told me that I’d need to return the two key fobs first, that we’re $10/ea., before he gave me the refund. At this point in the conversation it was a complete moot point and just ridiculous having this conversation with him. I told him don’t even worry about the $8.16 refund, just make sure my credit card isn’t charged again for future monthly fees. Before I could even finish my sentence, he hung up on me. I called back a few times to finish the conversation...he didn’t pick up. I could care less about the money, it was the complete lack of any sort of customer service and rude behavior from the owner of this gym that upsets me. I’ll spread the word about this experience to family, friends and neighbors, and obviously write this review....all over how an $8.16 refund was handled. This was customer service at its absolute finest!
