I've been around the fitness block for a while and by far this is THE BEST workout I've gifted myself in a long while. The instructors are extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, non- judgmental, approachable, and nice. No pretenses here, they know you've come to work on attaining your goals and they are totally team "you." I would recommend it to anyone.

Very knowledgeable staff that welcomes you with open arms....and a fist if you misbehave! lol Overall, a great gym with more equipment than expected. Awesome trainers that clearly have a passion for what they do! Keep up the good work!

joe provenzano

a great gym with flexible means of membership ( no lock down contracts). this is a local business not a franchise. if your looking for a cool staff and a way to support a LOCAL business , look no further. if you want a pretentious atmosphere at an inflated membership fee, go somewhere else!!!

Chase, thank you so much for the warmest welcome and giving me a place to train while I was here during the hurricane. I love New Orleans and the culture has never changed, yet it still continues to surprise me from time to time. It was a real treat and a surprises to learn of this place and have the privilege to do some mitt work with you. Thank you for being a true representation of New Orleans hospitality--I look forward to more experiences at your gym. Thanks again, brother!

As a weaker person, this place has become my sanctuary for training my body and becoming a better version of myself. The ethos here is so uplifting that it makes me hard not to go at least once a week =) Totally happy member. Sincerely, Vida

The manager has no time for actually managing the club and dealing with any client interaction that isn't "peachy." Apparently the owner expects certain people to speak to him as if we're children to an adult. To start, I have no need to speak rudely. I'm a professional in all areas of my life and unless you’re family, friend, or a child, I tend to speak directly. According to the owner I spoke to him with attitude when calling to clear up an issue on my account. My exact words were, "I need to speak to the manager or supervisor because I was overcharged." His immediate response was to tell me I had an attitude and that he was fully aware of my "situation." He chastised me saying my 1st payment did not process and this month I was charged for 2 months. Then told me I should know better than to call with attitude. (I went to the club as discussed below and notified him that he should have told me this ASAP so I could figure out if my card info was entered wrong or if I had not moved enough money into that account as I keep my money separated to prevent theft) And telling someone clearly what the issue is does not equate "attitude." He then misquoted me and said, "You said 'I want my money back now." No I did not say that. I said I was overcharged and needed to speak to a manger. Upon getting attitude from him, I later in the conversation said, "I need a refund because I will not go back to the gym at this point." But no I did not start off this conversation rude or with "attitude." I called and spoke directly and any person who can't deal with a direct statement and reads into it is not someone I'd suggest any one work with. When I asked what I was supposed to say exactly he said, "You could have called and politely asked to review your account and said "Excuse me something doesn't look right can we discuss it?" Um, no. I spoke directly and said the charge was higher than it should have been. I spoke directly and said I need to discuss this with a manager. I don't need to put flowers and decorate the response. He said, " I don't need your BS here anyway." So a direct critique of his FAILURE to communicate directly in the face of my choice to DIRECTLY COMMUNICATE, a thing MOST MEN appreciate in my experience, since all men I was raised around speak directly and appreciate that form of communication, but not this one. But again, as he said, this is a "private club" so he gets to speak to people however he wishes and no one can tell him what to do. Now my question is this: Let's say a man of 6'0 225 pounds approached him and said "I need to speak to a manager because I was overcharged this month." Would he have responded with the same condescending and EXAGGERATED response? FOLLOW UP INFO: I went to the club to approach him in a manner that my father said you should always do when you have conflict. I explained calmly that if he had contacted me when the payment did not go through, I could have reviewed my card number to be sure I entered correctly or double checked my account to be sure I moved enough money over to it from my savings. However, he had not contacted me. He then said, "But I did contact you." So I checked his story out. NO missed calls from him and there are no emails from him either and I looked back 2 months in my call log. So he made no attempt to contact me and then proceeded to respond to ONE SENTENCE from me as though I didn't offer him the proper flowery statement to speak. I may be female, but I speak direct and have no need to say things like Oh my dear can we review this matter. I said what the issue was clearly and simply, THAT is not an attitude. The trainers at this gym are great people, but this manager/owner of the club is not. I'm sure if you’re male he'll respect your presence and communication. I'm sure if you're female and never have an issue to address with him, he'll speak just fine to you. So if you want to spend money where your presence is respected, don't go here.

Good guys. Great Equipment and atmosphere. Dropped 20 lbs so far.

Difficulty in canceling membership. Never received a call back after calling 3 times and leaving voicemail. As long as you’re aware of their hidden cancellation form on their website, this probably won’t affect you.

Whether you're looking to get in shape, or train to compete, this is hands down the best gym in New Orleans. Friendly & and super experienced trainers, great, clean facility, and overall awesome vibe. Been moving all over the country and have yet to find a gym that compares.

I went to check it out. I was met by not the most intelligent or friendly employees. Went to Krav Maga training instead. Much better art for street and waaaayyyy better employees. Maybe I caught them on a bad day and after too many hits to the head?

Sarah Rothschild

Absolutely the best boxing gym in NOLA!!!! It's extremely clean and has only the best quality equipment! The staff is so nice and makes you feel right at home in the gym no matter what level you are. I can't wait to try out the classes!

This is best boxing club in the southeast region hands down. The community here is awesome with everyone reaching their person fitness and or boxing goals. Head Trainer Chase Dixon leads an intense training regiment for the pros. Rising stars 'Johnboy' Montrell, Ochi Kolev, and 'Silky' Hemphill are on their way to greatness training with Chase. Champions come through and out in hard work for their upcoming bouts such as Marcus McDaniel and Regis Prograis (when in town). Other local legends like Josh, Zereaux, and Tiffany all come through and train. This boxing club also have an amateur team that is undeniable which also demands greatness with Jah, Jekobe, Jerome, and Leo. Then there's Coach Don's TeamGetChaRight boxing amateur & pro team being a big part of the community. The classes are awesome. So if you have the desire to get some personal training and or just want to workout on your own. Come down and see one of the awesome trainers and become part of a unique boxing community.

Rude!!! I attempted to go in to get more information and sign up for boxing classes. I pulled up on the side of the building. I tried to enter but it was locked. I could see people working out. I asked a man who worked there if I could come in? He said "no you can go to the front" and walked away. That's not customer service. I left. I'm sure there are some other boxing gyms with more friendly employees. I don't pay money to get treated badly. Do better.

Charyl Taite

I had never boxed before and was riddled with anxiety about joining a boxing club, but to my luck, I found a community that really takes respect and honor seriously. The men and women who come here are very grounded and eager to help others. That's why I think they deserve my good word here.

louis rossignol

I love this gym, the memorabilia on the walls, and the often intense music, seem to give the place a soul. It's this lively essence that compels me to keep pushing, and always improving. Favorite gym I've ever been to.

Alexis Hernandez

NOBC is the most bad ass, inclusive, body positive, femme fatale gym I’ve ever joined. Come for a great work out and stay for those nola fam vibes
