Having never done yoga or hot yoga in an instructor lead environment, I was a bit nervous and skeptical going into it. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was quickly put at ease. All the instructors are wonderful and really make you feel comfortable. I quickly realized that we are all in different places with our abilities and everyone else is aware of that. It is a completely judgement free environment. Your practice is yours and they have helped me to learn the positions, will help to adjust me when I am out of position, and show me modifications to help me get the most out of were I am at today.
I wanted to try yoga because of my general stiffness, and nagging back pain. Stiff neck, stiff shoulders and all the other little aches and pains that come from sitting idle on you butt all day. I resisted going for so long because I knew I was not strong enough, or flexible enough to do the posses and certainly not in a class with all of these incredible fit yogis who have been doing it for years. When I finally was at the point where I needed to do something, I started going 3-4 times a week, and within the first 2 weeks I felt amazing. I wish I had not waited so long. Now I look forward to the yoga practices. Every day I am looking at the schedule trying to figure what class I can get to. I feel better. I feel calmer in my life. It really is so changing and is something that I think every one could benefit from in their lives.
