I liked it at first, but when I got pregnant, I told them due to finances and health I would have to stop the personal training. What did they do? Charge me continuously even though I had to cancel my membership, and then charged my credit card over $1000. Never setting foot in there again. Horrible place. Managers don’t listen. No one does.

Very friendly staff. Am trying to get my girlfriend into the gym and I am a current member at la fitness and they would not let me bring in a guest. So we went to crunch and they let us both in. The guys at crunch were very pleasant to talk to and welcoming, I can’t wait to go back.

I love the variety of free weights and exercise machines available, especially the deadlifting platform. The only major concern I have is the cramped locker room with small lockers only. Sometimes it's cleanliness is questionable.

From the moment I walked in and was greated by a friendly staff member offering me an immediate tour, I knew this place was a better fit for me than Planet Fitness. After the tour I signed up with MY choice of payment, no contract. I used several cardio machines without a problem, all were in working order and clean. I did need to ask a staff member how to use one machine and they were knowledgeable on its specifics and happy to help. The locker room was clean and the lockers were large enough for all my items (backpack, street clothes and jacket). I used the hydromassage bed which was clean and working perfectly. Overall, it was a positive experience which seems quite rare when it comes to gyms these days.

I've been going here for about a year and a half now and have to say I'm very pleased with my time at this location. The staff alone makes this gym worth coming to, every time you come in you're greeted with a warm and friendly manner by people who are more than willing to help however they can. The facility itself is always kept clean, free weights are plentiful and grunting is always allowed.. What more could you want from a gym?

The staff is friendly and very welcoming. The gym is clean and neat. It's a little smaller than most gyms but everything fits fine and I never feel overcrowded. They have personal trainers available and they work great with my schedule. Tons of group classes to choose from. I definitely recommended checking it out.

Great gym with a good atmosphere. I love the water massage and tanning options. They have good amount of free weights, lots of machines, and a fair amount of classes. The circuit equipment is the best I have used but people sometimes lollygag around and take too long on them. The locker room and showers are clean. The only thing I wish they had was a sauna. Oh, and they now have daycare.

My membership got transferred to crunch when fitworks went out of business. No hassle, but they also didn't mention that they didn't take on those members at their rates, but continued to charge Fitworks' rate that was $10 a month higher. Shady. When I asked about getting it changed, there never seemed to be a manager around that could take care of it.

Visited this location just once as I was in that area for the weekend. This was probably the worst Crunch location I have been to. The gym is very small to start with, guys at the front desk doesn't have time to help you or answer your questions because they're too busy hitting on every girl that walks in. Locker rooms were dirty and the smell literally gave me a headache. Small gym = less equipment, you'll be waiting long time for your turn and they don't even have enough plates for everyone to use. I bought a day pass and visited LA Fitness there on next day just to avoid this location.

Crunch fitness in Florence seems to have a staff that loves Thrash Metal Music. It is played in the early morning seven days a week. It is so loud that a conversation with a workout partner is almost impossible. I was told this morning by a front desk person that the station is now locked by the manger and cannot be changed. Besides the music, the men's room reeks and has tar all over the floor. This facility was so much better when it first opened! So much for customer service!!! Please feel free to share this post.

Save yourself the headache and go to planet fitness. They charged me twice for a whole month, and cannot figure out why the first charge was even billed to me. They will not refund me, but yet they refunded me a whole 6 months worth of money when I had foot surgery but cant now over a simple charge? Plus I called requesting to cancel my membership over the phone because I never have time to get out and do it and someone told me I could do that over the phone then when I call back to cancel they tell me I cant do that? Its a small gym anyways and they are so disorganized and can’t even train their employees. The district manager even lied to me about refunding a bill I should not have even been charged! Then I literally JUST canceled my membership and they told me I will still be charged this months membership fee. They will ROB you of your money. Do not let them! I did planet fitness for months and when I canceled with them (bc I get a free membership at my university) it was so easy, no problems, no lying managers, and they all knew what they were talking about. Oh and forgot to mention how planet fitnesses gym and equipment are so much better and bigger. They have better tanning beds, better massage chairs, BETTER EVERYTHING. Crunch is a complete joke. So many better options, know what you are doing before you do it!!

It is a nice gym, a lot of free weights, and friendly staff. It is probably one of the cleanest gyms I have ever seen, and everyone makes an honest effort to keep it that way. I do have some complaints that are enough for me to not go with all 5 stars, but they are fairly small complaints... #1 - it is very small. I know they are still building, but they should have gone with a 2 story like most other franchise gyms, and they should have built more into this particular one (basketball court, racquetball courts, sauna's, ect ect), this one doesn't even have tanning beds, which is very odd... #2 - The staff is very friendly, but they are not very helpful/knowledgeable when it comes to instruction of various exercises. Trying new workout routines, there are a lot of exercises that I do not know how to do, or even what they are in some cases, and I would expect gym staff to know these things, but 9 times out of 10, they don't... #3 - they don't offer sweat towels, this is usually typical at any other gym... #4 - When you sign up, it say's "$10 a month", but they don't tell you about the $49.95 initiation fee until you actually sign up, so it is technically false advertising... Out of anything, my biggest complain goes back to #1 where I just wish the building was much larger, but again, it is a nice clean facility with good equipment and friendly people. The price is reasonable, the parking is great, and so far, I've enjoyed my time there. I wish Fitworks was still open, but we can't have everything we want I guess... I have been a member of this gym for almost 2 years and have never been treated worst! I am a regular member of this gym and to be treated the way I have is upsetting! The staff is constantly changing in the kids club and half the time there is no one there when the kids club is suppose to be open. Elizabeth is rude and insulting! If you are looking for a gym that is clean and provides good customer service- crunch Florence is not the gym! It is unacceptable that management allows the gym to run this way!

So I'll give 2 versions. The short version: This place is terrible, they literally let someone who should have been taken to the hospital sign a contract for a year, then refused to change things, and are now charging me 128 dollars a month for something I can't even use. The long story is as follows: OVER a year ago I went to Crunch, I wanted to get in shape but had never been to a proper gym before. I was confused and didn't really know what to do. They offered me one free personal training (if only I could turn back time and tell myself not to agree to that! I'll have to settle for warning other people) I agreed and showed up at the right time. I hadn't had anything to eat since lunch at about 12pm, and it was 5 or maybe 5:30, I have low blood pressure as it runs in my family as well. I went through the "Personal training session" which was mostly just an assessment of how much my body could handle. Toward the end I felt strange, I have never really passed out before, but the edges of my vision became incredibly blurred, and with them my thoughts. I tried to focus on what was happening and finish my training session. But my breathing and vision became worse and worse, by the end of the 30 minutes I was crouched on the ground thinking "Don't pass out, don't pass out, don't pass out." The personal trainer guy (I think his name was Josh but don't quote me on that) put his hand on my sweaty shoulder and asked something. I couldn't tell you what exactly but I think he was asking if I was okay. I totally wasn't okay, I could barely even see his face the blurring had encompassed almost all of my vision at this point. He had me sit on one of those step things, and I did. After a minute the blurring eased a bit but I could not walk un-aided. He helped me stand, walked me over to the counter, and talked about some things we had mentioned before. Standing up was a bad idea though, and I nearly went crashing to the ground. I wanted to lie down so badly, so I just nodded and agreed to most anything that was said. I then signed something he put in front of me. Before this point, we had talked about my signing up for personal training and I had expressed that I wanted to try and get in shape as much as possible before my wedding in six months. I didn't much care at this point what I was signing, and I did understand enough to know that I was going to sign up for personal training, and he warned me that I should eat BEFORE working out in order to not risk this kind of thing happening again. That was about all I remembered. Flash forward 6 months. I beg and plead and post all over social media to try and go from paying 128 dollars every 2 weeks for 2 sessions I didn't want or need, to 64 dollars every 2 weeks for 1 session that I wanted to continue. They EVENTUALLY give in and lower things. I wanted to outright cancel after they said "no" the first time, but they told me "You'll have to have this for at least a year. You signed a contract" blah blah blah. Okay, I would deal with that. It was my mistake I shouldn't sign something when I couldn't read or hear the terms. My bad, hard lesson learned, right? Flash forward ANOTHER six months, and now they are STILL refusing, and threatening me with collections agencies if I try to stop my credit card from paying them this incredibly exorbitant price for something I'm not using, and can't use since I no longer have a membership with the gym itself. This stinks of a scam so badly. Even those horrible MLM is easier to get out of. How can it even be legal to have someone who can barely see or hear sign something they clearly aren't capable of understanding? By being a horrible organization, that's how. Do not sign up for Crunch. There are other options nearby that are bigger, better, and don't do this kind of scummy stuff to squeeze every dime out of you against your clearly expressed will.

I purchased the 3 month agreement for a personal trainer on June 2nd. I then had to switch trainers twice because one quit. Before he quit, he cancelled on me at least 4 times (two of which he just didn't show up) and then gave me 2 free sessions to go along with it to make up for cancelling. When I got the new trainer, he cancelled on me 3 more times. On August 15th, I cancelled my agreement so I wouldn't be charged for September because I didn't want the hassle of a trainer anymore, and I wasn't even getting results from it(I did more on my own than with the trainer). However, I was charged still. I called to get the money refunded but the manager at the Florence Crunch told me I couldn't have my money back because I used a session after I cancelled. (I was told by the trainer I had 9 free sessions due to all the cancellations). After this conversation, I even said I would take the loss on that one session, and just to refund me the other 7 for this month, and I was told no. I am outraged not only with how many times I have been cancelled on during 3 months and didn't really get the results I expected, but also in how this has been handled. I would not have used the sessions if they were not for free. That was the reason I cancelled the trainer. I have cancelled my membership to this gym, and I do not recommend this gym at all! Please do not waste your money with the Florence crunch. They are extremely unprofessional.

My daughter and I stopped by the Florence Crunch on Saturday (May 19) and were given a quick tour and info in regards to membership. As the associate talked about the hydro massage and tanning, I SPECIFICALLY asked if my daughter (15) was to come with me on occasion would she be able to use the bed and/or tanning and was told that would not be a problem. Well, my daughter didn't have school yesterday (May 22) so we met a friend at Crunch for a little workout. After the workout we went and asked for the hydro massage for my daughter and friend and encountered one the RUDEST, UNPLEASANT, UNHELPFUL individuals ever. ELIZABETH should not be in a customer service roll whatsoever!! Immediately upon approaching the counter she was short and seemed annoyed at our presence. So, if you walk in and see her behind the counter, do yourself a favor and turn around and walk back out. She was short and curt not only with myself and my friend but also towards my 15 year old daughter. There was no one waiting for or using the massage beds and yet we were scolded in a condescending manner. I tried to explain to her the conversation I had just 3 days earlier upon enrolling and she would not have it.... she pretty much dismissed me.... ending my conversation with "Mmmmm K". Extremely unprofessional. I would have thought that was the end of it. However, as we walked past ELIZABETH on our way out she shot us a look and extremely noticeable eye-roll that instantly made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I guess Crunch's company motto "NO JUDGMENTS" does not apply to ELIZABETH!

The current cable station has been 50% inoperative for a few months due to a very cheap repair that it needs. The equipment is still in service but it binds half way thru a rep. Been here since they opened, may be leaving soon.

I had been going here for 2 years no problem and it was a decent gym...until last week. I had been a member for 2 years and never had a problem with theft until last week when someone there stole my keys in my locker then stole my wallet out of my car and purchased more than a thousand dollars at Best Buy right next to it. When I tried to get the workers there to help they basically did nothing. I asked other members about it and they said it had happened to 2-3 other people a few weeks ago so my question is why were there no signs put up?! 2 years ago when I signed up it was great, safe and workers were knowledgeable. Lately it has went down the toilet bowl. Needless to say I cancelled my membership after they did nothing to help me with what happened there
