This climbing gym was very dirty. If you are not very tall you won't be able to climb past v4

Come to Cincinnati, in need of some good bouldering! Really miss the Louisville location!

Alex Flood

Great environment, friendly staff and patrons, and good music playing always. Such a nice experience every time.

David Paller

The place is clean, the workers are helpful and friendly. If you enjoy climbing or are new to it, I highly recommend climb nulu.

Jerimy Tate

Everyone is really friendly and kind even to the noobs.. and climbing is so much fun

Charlie Christensen Phillips

Best Indore climbing in Louisville

Caleb Babin

I'm not good or experienced at rock climbing however this was still lots of fun! There is a large beginner's room with plenty of routes to try to climb! Having no harness was a little scary at first but the thick fluffy padding around the wall was fun to drop down onto if you get stuck! There were also some crazy routes for more experienced climbers and plenty of difficulties in between, each route has a difficulty labeled on it so they are easy to identify as well.

Ted Kibbleswitch

Great place for fun! It isn't the best insulated place so winter climbs are kinda iffy, but it's still bearable even when it's freezing. Take advantage of the deals if you feel like going regularly without a membership. The prices are a bit up there but if you only go once a week Tuesdays are your days

Mark Mina

Broke my leg here. It's not safe. The rock was covered with chalk and when I slipped off I couldn't control how I fell like they claim you should be able to. Fact is that SEVERAL people have broken bones here and I wish I had known how likely it was before I started climbing here. This summer I a co-worker told me a friend of hers had a similar issue where she tore something in her knee and shes still not recovered a year later. Don't risk it.

Taylor Carey

I love climb nulu I've been there so many times that they know me and they help you and they are really really nice to new climbers

Elijah Begley

Completely full of positive energy upbeat people and some of the best human beings Louisville has to offer. My first climb which was solo, completely by myself, no friends at all, and plenty of people approached me and showed me different techniques of learning how to climb. They were not paid to do this, it was random strangers done this out of the kindness of their own heart. Therefore I came back a second time and went ahead and bought a membership. I highly recommend this place for anybody looking for physical activity around tons of positivity. All ages, not just young people, older people are welcome to try.

Rachel Labus

There are plenty of options for beginning climbers to feel safe and build confidence. Expert climbers will find satisfying challenges here. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Ryan Fagan

Cool place to climb. Negatives - only bouldering.

devlin wissig

Wonderful facility with a great staff. Clean, organized and controlled environment with a relaxed vibe.

Taylor Hurt

Excellent prices. Staff is awesome. The problems are awesome. The training area is extremely efficient with the space. They have yoga and now massages. I really love this place and it keeps getting better.

Memo Jimenez

Big climbing gym, great routes and good vibe.

Paul Strothman

This place is amazing must

Jeremiah Lant

The setting is good and the staff is friendly, however, the gym is dirty. It would be a great gym if it was cleaned on a regular basis.

Patrick Cox

Great place to go bouldering on a chilly winter day and a great price to boot.

Yufeifei Jiang

Love this bouldering gym! Great route setting. Go there every time I'm in Louisville. I have to say the mat is the dirtiest I've ever seen though...

Alex Krentsel

Super fun place to go climbing.

Nicole Howley

Climb NuLu is a great place to climb, has a great community, some of the best route setting I have seen anywhere and I love the diversity of wall set ups. Membership also includes yoga which happens everyday. The flexible hours make finding a time to climb easy. Good place to go if you are new to climbing too. The women's climbing group that meets a few times a week is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Good place for kids also, just make sure to keep an eye on them to make sure that they stay safe and don't run on the mats under climbers that may fall. The gym set up is fun and inviting and the mats are squishy and safe but it is important to remember that climbing is an inherently dangerous sport.

Amanda wisiorek

Amazing hobby to get into with a great friendly location to be passionate about it at. I’ve gone off and on to Climb Nulu for 2.5 years. I have recently been going regularly again and have seen major improvements. Their training area has gotten quite comprehensive although I’d wish they get a couple treadmills back there again. I only have two recommendations for Climb Nulu. 1. Their monthly membership has raised since when they first opened. It was expensive then and is now. It’s only worth it if your climbing at least two times a week. Which is fine for me since I do it 2-3 times a week BUT i I wish they would offer a membership with out the extras. It’s like they have justified the increase because of the free yoga and classes...but I’m never going to use those. And would be more then happy to agree to that and pay $10-15 less a month for strictly a climbing membership. 2. They try to do to much extra outside of rock climbing. Which they have gotten better about over the past couple years but still. I think it be more ideal to get rid of the ping pong table and picnic tables in the back training area and put more actual training stuff. Rather then forcing so much in one small area on the other side of the room.

Ryan French

Great staff and well ran business

Sarah Eberhardt

I love this place. As someone who is new to climbing, this is a great place to start. Bouldering requires a lot less gear, so it's also cheaper than traditional rock climbing. Plus, Tuesdays are free gear nights, and Thursdays are free gear for women! Everyone's super supportive as well - you'll never be laughed at for falling down, only encouraged to try again. As soon as I can, I'm going to get a membership and buy myself shoes so I can be a full time member of Climb NuLu.

Will Roberts

An inexpensive day pass will grant you a whole lot of fun.

Ryan Newquist

A nice bouldering place to go climbing at. People are friendly and the space is rather large.

Ben Fine

Cons: Prices are a bit high for monthly so making an option to opt out things like Yoga or maybe 3 days a week or something to make it cheaper for others and affordable. Pros: Routes seemed accurate, additional gym on backside to workout and for beginner climb walls to get started. Customer service is very nice and helpful. I like that they have early hours on Tues and thurs. I need that. Overall good atmosphere. Most people seemed friendly so it can be social if you try. Overall pricing is what gives it a 4/5. give more options for pricing.

Joey Cohen

I have been a member here for about six months and it is really satisfying to see how far I have progressed over this time. The atmosphere here is great. I never feel intimidate by the more experienced climbers. The walls are changed up frequently so every time I come there are new problems to solve. This is a great hobby and I recommend everybody give this a try.

Clayton Cobb

Evan and Mason are the best employees ever, Evan makes good burgers. The climbing and such is fun to it has a nice vibe and is a good hobby to get into.

Matthieu Mounier

Good bouldering gym, with tall walls and steep roofs. Old school problems settings but you can get pumped quick;-) + : tall, long routes, lot of space and problems. Clean and friendly. - : lack of variety in problem settings (too left/right...). Extra price and extra pain for the first visit (3$ and 20mn of waiver filling)

Simon Li

Probably the best climbing gym in Louisville right now. No toprope / sport climbing, but the bouldering is top notch. Routes get changed frequently enough that there's a great variety. The setters are also really creative and usually post a ton of fun stuff.

Kevin Lott

Kids loved it.

Maddie Karcher

very good prices because all entry is a day pass, good courses

Sloan Haywood

Extremely fun and addicting place to go. Staff is very friendly and personable. They regularly change routes to offer new challenges and excitement. They also offer classes for climbers looking to improve their technique.

Ma Ja

I've been a member for close to 3 months and have had an absolute blast. The gym is comfortable, and the routes are awesome. The staff is super friendly, they're great climbers, and are willing to give tips and advice for getting past tough sections on new routes. If you want to challenge yourself mentally and physically, this is the place to do it. I could never find motivation to go to any normal gym for a work out, but this easily has become one of my passions and have to keep myself from going down every day. Rope climbing is an expensive sport to get into, so this Bouldering gym is great for the young climber or anyone on a budget.

Susie Q

I am so excited that climb NuLu is open! Louisville has been needing a gym like this for people to train (being so close to Red River Gorge and all). I was very impressed and happy there were problems for all climbing levels. Very clean environment and friendly staff, climb NuLu is the place to be!

Steve H

I’ve attended kindergartener’s birthday parties here as well as taken a handful of second-graders during an overnight to burn some energy. In all circumstances, the staff is friendly, the gym is in really good condition, and everyone involved has a blast. I would highly recommend coming here for a private party in the beginner room (has more advanced stuff too). Having it be just your group is a wonderful plus. There are also many more serious climbers at the gym (doing some really impressive stuff), so don’t think this place is just for kids. We were definitely the exception, not the norm. Private room is the way to go though, so you don’t feel like the kiddos are getting in the way of more serious endeavors (although no one ever made us feel that we were).

Daniel C

Phenomenal bouldering gym. New routes set regularly. They will test you at every level

Sabra Lynne Crockett

This is a great place to get a fun workout! My kids love it, and the day rate is reasonable.

Amanda Fiedler

I love the walls here and that they change all the time but the staff is not very good. I slipped on a wall and was bleeding pretty badly I went over to the desk to get some bandaids the guy at the desk was talking to a friend and ignored me standing there for about 5 minutes.

Tyler Woodling

Get out of your comfort zone and climb! Super fun place, always fresh routes and nice people to talk strategy with. Super easy routes and super hard routes to pick from, no one judges you for looking like a n00b. Only down side is sometimes the music they pick is just god awful. If I owned that place and walked in to death metal playing on the speakers I would personally smash the ipad they play music from. But still deserves 5 stars.

Luke Floden

Great place to climb as a beginner or an expert. The location is great but the prices are a bit steep. It would be nice if they had another option besides an all day pass.

Cole Musial

Great place. Good routes and easy to find coming from out of town

ana pantoja

Amazing place! safe and fun!

emily stieben

You certainly have to choose you timing wisely otherwise children are everywhere. I've noticed that Wednesday nights have the most children. I was thinking it was youth night the last time i went and my buddy confirmed after seeing a flyer there. (They really should post advertise for the kid nights for those that don't want unsupervised kids running under and in front of them.) They should also have a stricter policy about adult supervision. That being said, this is the best place to climb in town. If you are able to avoid kid nights and peak times it will be a wonderful experience, even if you are a beginner. The staff if friendly and helpful and more advanced climbers are supportive of the beginners, which is pivotal when gaining confidence. Would have given 5 stars if they make things safer during the kid's nights.

Joshua Menefee

Great place for what it is; a comprehensive bouldering gym. New routes are set weekly for climbers of all skill levels, with a decent gym located inside as well. Perfect place for new climbers who have never climbed without ropes before. Most everyone who comes here is friendly and always willing to chat. Pricing is not too bad at $15 for a first timer which includes rentals. If you have a spare weekend I highly recommend stopping in to try it out. Very kid friendly as well, just keep an eye on them so they don't get in the way of the older climbers.

Trisha Ellis

Decent place with good climbs

Andrew Foxworthy

Indoor bouldering facility with a good variety of 'problems' at varying degrees of difficulty. It is a well run, clean, relaxed, and always a good time. They offer day passes and memberships, and have a variety of classes. Great for kids and adults. Semi-private event space can also be rented.

Steve Leatherman

Great routes ranging in various difficulty. Routes are changed frequently, the holds are very well kept, they have a friendly, and helpful staff. Great place for beginner and experienced climbers alike.

Matt Montgomery

Filthy

David Johnson

I love this place. Amazing facility and some of the best setters anywhere. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Something for everyone's skill level.

William S Bockoven

Bravo for the owners pioneering a great attraction to NuLu! Facility is well located, parking on street or small lot, good facility but prices a bit high.

Aaron Brown

Tremendous fun and inexpensive. A great workout too. Just shower after because you get pretty dirty climbing and from falling on the mats.

Josh Newkirk

Great place for bouldering. Staff is always friendly and they have a great training room!

Susannah Cuebas

Great experience & staff.. large climbing area with plenty of climbing walls.

Danny Carballo

Great bouldering place and nice staff. Good variety of routes, too.

Paul Dascani

Great climbing gym. Routes are updated frequently and have a good variety of difficulty. Can get a bit crowded at peak hours.

Ethan Banet

Excellent staff, they always make you feel welcome. The gym is well kept and theres always something new to climb.

Klaus S

One of my family's favorite spots. My wife, two young kids, and I go every week and have a blast, not to mention, now we all have Popeye forearms from all the climbing. Most people here are eager to help if you're new so don't be bashful. Side note - their apparel is on fleek, so whoever orders that stuff, keep it up.

Paul Bechtold

If you're visiting and bring your own gear, they still charge you an extra $3 for your first visit (Wtf?). It's the dirtiest gym I've even been to, and the routes are also graded a bit heavy. (I flashed a bunch of their V6s, which is atypical for my ability level). That being said, I did find some well thought out and very fun projects as well. Definitely better than no bouldering, but I really think they could do better.

Lori Kelly

A really great boulder in get facility. They have shoe rentals (remember, the shoes should feel right) and chalk bag rentals. Yoga is also available, and there's a beginner room in the back where people can have parties

Lance Upton

Awesome place to hang out and climb, but membership is too expensive.

Gavin Crenshaw

Really nice gym. The staff was super friendly and there were plenty of routes for all grades. I brought my friend bouldering for the first time and he sent several routes, so there's plenty for beginners and advanced. The merch is cheap and so are the drinks and food. Overall I was very happy with my experience here.

Marketing Walltopia

Great atmosphere, great routesetting

Andrew Koroluk

Great bouldering gym, best in Louisville. The 5 punch pass for $50 is a pretty good deal, too.

Lilli Popovich

Had a great first experience! Customer service was great and super friendly. It was my first time rock climbing and was able to pick it up pretty easily with the help of my friends and other people climbing. Started on the beginner routes and already started challenging myself on some V2&V3 routes towards the end.

Peter Meece

This place was awesome there are a lot of things to challenge yourself on. This gym seems to be a great place to go to for all climber skill levels. The staff was really nice and they gave good advice (follow their advice). Over all this was a great place and I had a wonderful time.

Keith Gressel

Cody Stillman

Want a professional climbing wall experience this is it! Haven't climbed myself yet, but had to go in to check out a out myself. Can't wait to do this!!

Devin Payne Serke

Great bouldering gym.

Teoh Zheyi

Really great bouldering gym that has well set routes that are regularly changed. It isn't very crowded at most times so there are no issues getting in the routes. Affordable and also offers yoga for members

Ben Schardein

This place is great. I've been around the country and seen some of the best climbing gyms the nation has to offer, including places like Seattle Bouldering Project, Boulder and Denver Movement Climbing and Fitness, and Portland's Planet Granite. Nulu has some of the most creative and interesting setters around, and they are constantly updating problems. If you're heading to the Red any time soon, make sure to add a detour into your trip to check this place out.

Logan Clements

Fantastic bouldering gym, always setting new interesting routes and problems for all skill levels. Not to mention the only bouldering gym in Louisville. They also have a full schedule of yoga, offering several classes with a different focus nearly every day. The yoga teachers are great, well informed and very clear in their instruction.

Patrick Johnson

Loved this place. My 7 year old had a great time!

Toby Johnson

Great experience for my first time bouldering.

Michael Garrett

Love the gym, staff is great, and so are the people. The membership is not to expensive, if you climb more than four times a week then I suggest getting a member ship. Everyone is super welcoming and the routes change often.

Jason Downey

Tons of great bouldering walls. Friendly staff. Great addition to the Louisville area.

Lizz Epp

Great Gym friendly staff and patrons. I went during non peak hours plenty of routes no matter what level of experience you have! Tall walls compared to what I'm used to. Some routes are graded too easy some are right on, one was graded V0 that should be V1+. None the less I had a great time and would recommend to any climber as a gym to climb at while visiting Louisville. It looks like the gym offers some interesting regular programs, based on fliers posted.

Dan W Sr.

6 year old granddaughter went from fear of heights to fearless in one week. No harnesses, or ropes. They definitely raise the bar.

Aaron Ocker

This place is cool but absolutely not for beginners. The group I was with didn't think the route ratings were accurate. I'm sure if I were an advanced climber it would have been better, but I was only able to complete 1 route. Not worth the price to climb, which is already a bit expensive to begin with.

Manooch Saeedi

Bouldering only, but still a really cool space. Be warned that you'll be charged full price for your first visit because they have to give you an "orientation". Basically, you pay $3 for them to tell you not to be stupid. Useful if you've never climbed, I suppose. Other than that, I like the place.

Sherry Gordon

The best place to climb in Louisville.

Mason Roberts

Super fun spot for the whole family, or if you're training for your next project in the Red. It's bouldering, so it can be social if you put a little effort into talking to folks. Also, as you're having fun on the routes, you'll be surprised by the workout you get.

Justin Shircliff

Great bouldering gym. There are numerous walls to climb with many different problems to choose from. There is also a wall dedicated to climbing workouts with campus boards, training boards, and other hold options. The staff are friendly but pretty hands off. I like that they open early on Tuesday and Thursday. Check this place out.

Robert Day

This place is the best. There are climbing routes for all skill levels.

John Whitaker

Great gym. Fantastic staff, constantly updating the routes so it's always a challenging and interesting experience.

Rich Hoyer

My wife loves this place.

nate berrier

Inexpensive to try for the first time. I think we paid around 15 per person. You have to fill out release forms of course. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of different tracks of all different difficulty for anyone to keep busy. If you're not used to climbing, you're going to get very tire very fast!

Steven Mcdaniel

Fun and challenging!

Rose Menyhert

Fantastic people, place, upkeep.

Andrew Biskis

For bouldering, this is hands-down the best gym in Louisville!

Justin E

Pros: Generally good routes that are regularly rotated out, great location, friendly employees and climbers Cons: Increasingly filthy to the point that it's smelly and difficult to distinguish routes because they're so dirty, slowly turning into a day care with a dozen unsupervised children running around under you while you climb, no changing room (men's bathroom is just a urinal and stall with nowhere to sit or put stuff down while you change). Due to the cons, I was going to put my membership on hold for a while but learned they charge you every month just for that, so I cancelled and probably will not be back. If I do, I have to pay the semi-hidden $25 starting fee again. This was disappointing because I think that kind of sleazy gym membership pricing should be beneath them - they really could have a great gym that stands on its own merits without resorting to that.

digitalis303

After you sign the obligatory waivers you can get on the walls and test your mettle. There are lots of great color coded routes with noted difficulty ratings. The staff was friendly and helpful there are so many routes to boulder that you likely won't have to wait to climb. Great for a cold or rainy day!

Brian Morales

Great bouldering gym! Friendly staff, clean, problems rotate out regularly, plenty of extra classes available.

Bizzy Scott

This place is great! Josh answered all my questions as a first time climber. Great experience.

michelle bornstein

Not little kid friendly...could not have felt less welcome with my kids...

Andrew GottWorth

This is absolutely my favorite climbing community. It is well lit, well taken care of, and well run. The routes are changed regularly, there are competitions, climbing clubs, training nights, and fun events. There is a gear and snack shop, bathrooms, work-out room and attached yoga studio. Everything you need!

Adam Shipley

My wife and I have been going for a little over 2 years now. It is one of our favorite hobbies to do together.

Chad Doogs

Excellent staff and facilities

Austin Coolidge

Holy bouldering batman! Great route setting the setters make you work for every grade.

alan blount

A wonderful climbing gym in central Louisville, KY. This is our family's favorite activity right now. We have a 7 year old and a 5 year old, and both of them do very well here. There's a good yoga class, a kids climbing club/class, and of course - a lot of paths up the wall. The routes are constantly changing, and there's a wide variety, including a lot of "starter" routes to help get you going. Sadly, there is no top-roping, it's all climbing without a harness/rope, so you can only go up about 20 feet or so... but that's plenty far with only a mat below you. It's excellent! (tip: buy your own shoes... rentals are $4/visit and to buy them is ~$60... so if you go 15 times you will have paid for your shoes)

Seth Pierce

Excellent staff and atmosphere, great place for a fun adventurous date and amazing for experienced climbers. Something for everyone.

KiefTrev

Best boulder spot in town! Very well kept walls and they are frequently reset. New routes to take on almost every visit! Also has a decent sized kids area with lower difficulties for them. On top of that they have a dedicated training room equipped with exercise machines and weights. Drop your stupid Planet Fitness pass and come get some real exercise!

John Pacyga

Lots fun, plenty of variety and levels of difficulty.

terry lindsey

Fun place to hang out

Angela Cecil

Top notch!

Christina Kuo

Great community here. The workers are inviting and friendly.

Greg Ellis

The best climbing gym in the Louisville metro for bouldering. They set the problems well and there are plenty of problems at each grade to keep even the best climbers entertained. They are friendly to new climbers and include a nice tour on your first visit. Whether you're a veteran climber or brand new and want to get into it, Climb NuLu is a great facility for your bouldering needs.

John Shanrock

Great staff, great routes, and a great time. Routes are updated and changed frequently keeping the experience fresh and exciting.

dneelyep

Clean, lots of space, lots of routes. Lots of fun to climb at.

Cruz Baisa

Ouch. Ow. I tore my hand up. My back hurts. I didn't know that was a muscle. I'm definitely going back.

Terry Hayes

Such a fun experience!

Niki Tucker

Staff is friendly and welcoming. A great beginner room for kids. Bouldering routes are set well. The beginner routes are set in such a way that they are doable with a beginner's strength and grip but still interesting.

Kellie Mccowan

Climb is my second home.

Grant A

I've been going for about 2 years now and It's a great place to climb. They've gotten better at keeping the holds cleaner and have improved the cleanliness of the landing pads. Great place that's always improving.

Ryan Stokes

Employees were welcoming and helpful. We had a blast and will be back for sure!!!

Wendy Morgan

Take the kids whenever we have a day off. Had a birthday party as well and it was a huge hit with the kiddos and super simple for me. Staff are awesome
