The facelift this place has received under the new ownership is pretty spectacular. Lots of new fitness equipment and cool areas. The only thing I would like to see is more clocks everywhere to track time between sets. Sure I could use the stop watch on my phone, but for convenience sake and about 10 bucks a clock, I feel it would be much appreciated to us patrons. It would be nice to be in any area and see one clearly.

I left a brand new hoodie there called 15 minutes after leaving and an employee told me that he had found it and put it up for me with my name on it.When I had came in there the following day it was gone no one knew where it had went I asked them if they can check the cameras and they told me no and they treated as they did not care at all. But if $50 was missing out of the register they would check the cameras immediately but since I am a member and they don’t really care about my stuff they just told me that it’s gone when it was behind the counter and the only people that had access to it was the employees. So if you ask me one of the employees stole my hoodie in Genesis does not care enough to investigate the situation they just told me to move on with it

I love my membership to genesis. Everyone there has been nothing but supportive and helpful! I would 100% recommend this gym to anyone who asks!

I’ve been in most of the branches as per of change. But the weights and the kids club are the best here. Aksarben and westroads for yoga classes.

I like genesis health clubs because it’s very welcoming to come too. When they took over after 24hour fitness they were very attentive to my health and goals. They wanted to keep my business by providing me with great customer satisfaction. Genesis gyms has opened so many different opportunities for me with classes that are free and always keeping me up to date on specials that they run. I have since referred friends that have joined and they to have also been happy with what the health gym provides. Other gyms in the United States should mimic their success and take notes because I truly believe Genesis gym is the best in the Midwest. The prices for membership are very affordable. I also like since I work out with friends that I don’t have to go to just one location. That makes it convenient for me and them. I really enjoy the new perksville that they started in Omaha. It’s a very nice insensitive for working out. Who doesn’t want to be rewarded with points for free stuff! I have already purchased a fitness watch and plan on using my other points for different things they offer. I will continue to recommend this company to anyone that doesn’t go here and try and help grow the clientele. Thanks for calling me the day you took over after 24hour fitness. Not sure where I’d be if I hadn’t stayed. I have lost 30lbs in the past 6 months and 4 pant sizes. My goal is to attend more classes and step my fitness goals up a notch for 2018!

Rude staff at front counter and dirty locker rooms. One of the worst gyms I’ve been to.

Rosemary Strasser

When I first went there, I bought 10 private training sessions. My trainer, Jacob, was awesome! Listened to me, helpful, always confirmed out training time with me the night before. Unfortunately, he left and I have 4 sessions left. For 3 weeks now I have tried to meet with a replacement trainer, and in each case, they have either double-booked, forgotten, or missed it for some reason and never called me to apologize or reschedule. I have left my number and ask the manage Ryan to call - no response. This follow weeks of them having issues with my pass when they scan it. It's a great facility and some of the group classes, especially Group Fight, are really well done. However I give them 2 stars for their disorganization on the administrative end.

You guys are taking care of the building, the employees, and your customers. You are actively making a difference by maintaining the equipment QUICKLY and adding new squat racks. You also put in a new basketball court (which I never use, but I know a lot of people that do)! Overall, I'm very pleased. Even the locker rooms are cleaner and all of the hand dryers actually work ;)

I took a tour and did the 7 day trial and it is a nice gym but for me the demeaning, extremely pushy, hard-selling by the bros here was repellant. I have a membership at a different gym that I am very happy with and three months later I STILL am getting almost weekly texts and calls trying to get me to come sign up. After being very polite, my patience is gone and I am furious. I could not be more displeased. Stay away!

For those that are having billing issues, contact the Better Business Bureau. It's quick and easy to do on line. After 18 months of trying to settle my son's account I told them that would be the next step. No answer. Once I did go to the BBB they were on a timeline to respond. Maybe if everyone did this it would finally get some attention from good old Rodney (who also never responded to my letter).

They charged me over $2,000 to end my contract. This is the worst gyms have been to due to the fact They have a very old equipment that is not maintain they all need new pads they’re completely worn out. The place is very dirty and they do not have very good housekeeping there’s thick layers of dust under all of the equipment and machines as well as when you look at the ceiling you can see in the clear for dust on all of the beams the walls are dirty the bathrooms and showers are dirty the toilet smell like piss. Many other things were an issue I was paying over $600 a month to work with them personal trainer and I learned nothing I didn’t already know I was getting a better work out from an app I was using.

I came over in March of this year just to find out about 6 weeks or 6 months free workout. Assistant manager Joe Whitemann told me there is a 60 dollars fee and I don’t have to pay anything else. So I payed half of the price and the other half he took in April 1st from the bank account. In order to pull the money out automatically he asked me to sign a paper which I did. Starting the next following month April instead of being charged for the half of the 60 dollars he charged me 80 dollars. Let me be more clear. So instead of paying 60 dollars I paid 47dollars plus the rest of the 60 dollars which totals to 80 and plus. I have never had any of the free 6 weeks or 6 months of work out. Not only he lied but he charged me extra, plus I found out later that there is my signature somehow in contact of membership. This guy was out of this location he has been moved to another location of the gym. I came to the gym in order to figure out this problem but they wanted to charge me 200 dollars for cancellation. It was another manager who is very rude and told me that he has only 2 minutes to talk with me. His name is Rick.He was keep sending back and forth the worker by name Casey instead of talking straight to me and figuring out the problem. I’ve explained the situation and the manager made a phone call after a while he said that my membership was cancelled. But in May I’ve been charged again for the amount of 47.08 dollars. I came over the next day and again this manage Rick opened up my account in computer and said that the money will be refunded the next 7 to 14 days. I haven’t received anything. I went today for the third time still they are asking me questions like they have no idea what am I talking about. This manager Rick is such an ignorant I’ve called him twice and left voice mail before stopping by for the third time, but he never called me back. Today he said, that he had tried to help me, but the upper bill office I don’t exactly know what he called them denied it the request. This manager never ever tried to inform me about anything. Today he is saying completely different things. First time when I went he said he cancelled my membership and now he says he tried.... This people just know how to drag money from a person that’s it!!! I’ve never seen a manger who don’t care about the costumers and acts like he helps. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Please think twice before stepping in to this place!!!!

Great place

Krystal Carbonell

The construction updates/renovation to this location are coming along great. The new equipment has provided a more challenging workout for those needing that extra boost. The staff are friendly and you're always greeted with a smile at check-in.

Sean Conroy

I was grandfathered into the price from 24 hour and have been coming here for years. As always, most staff are generally rude to you unless you live in the gym or are a naturally gorgeous person. Machines and options are nice but staff suck ass.

Travis Brizendine

Very mediocre. Could be cleaned better, updates have taken forever but overall will contribute to a better experience. Lights can take days to replace, pool drains can smell often, otherwise it provides plenty of equipment for the gym-goer. (Cass)

Bad vibes....being a bit skeptical after reading recent reviews, we were still curious about the health club since it was close by and had the facilities in which we were interested. We were greeted in a most unfriendly manner, were not allowed to look over the facility unless an “advisor” or whatever they called him would escort us. Also, they would not tell us...the front desk people....what the rates were beyond some nebulous.....it depends and we tailor the rates. They would not even give us a broad range. Simply figured it was like the used car game to size us up and get whatever they could. Perhaps the facilities are nice, although my companion noted a lesser level of cleanliness upon entering, but I don’t do business with people that won’t tell you the cost of things up front.

James E

These people call incessantly, even after you told them you joined another gym. Many times the calls are dead air with nobody responding on the other side. The calls come 7 days a week and are beginning to border on harassment. Starting to log call times and dates. Don't ever give this gym your number! Moved out of state. Let them know. Still getting calls! They don't even have a gym where I live now!!

Pedro Perez

If you plan on signing up make sure you know its a lifetime contract. I went into the military so i needed to cancel my membership and after having the manager see my orders and talk to my recruiter he stops the monthly payments but not the yearly fee. When I called they say they never got my orders or cancelled my membership but i stopped being charged monthly ? It was a long game with them and even the head office acts like youre just an annoying customer who doesn't know how to cancel your own membership.

Steve Schwieger

I was threatened from another gym member . Nothing was resolved of this incident. I just hope no other member has to go through this experience I had to nothing was resolved will not work out at this gym ever again.

James Boyd

The Cass location does tend to get crowded occasionally at certain times. However, why does it get crowded? Because we actually enjoy visiting this location to workout. The Cass location is very diverse and a friendly and motivational atmosphere. Ryan Firle and Jason have taken care of me and anyone else I send in their direction.

Jay Sean

It looks nice generally. But hey go somewhere else where is more affordable, genuine and really helpful on your membership. Don't waste your hard earned money here

Micah Mace

If I could give this company a zero I would!! I would like to let other people know about my horrible experience with Genesis Health Clubs in hopes to save them some future troubles. I had to abruptly discontinue my membership with Genesis after I was charged an extra 39.99 a month. After contacting the gym the first time no one seemed to be able to answer my question of why. I was told multiple times that the Operations Manager at this location would contact me. She never did and I had to contact her myself. She was absolutely rude and disrespectful. She accused me of signing Genesis Plus Membership which I know I declined when signing up for my membership. She told me that it was my fault I did not cancel this in a timely manner and there was no way they were refunding me my money. I asked for proof that I signed this document. She then sent me a document with a signature that was not mine and appeared to be forged by one of your employees (which I have attached my signature on my initial contract as well as the forged one). The employee who forged my name didn't even take the time to ensure they were spelling the name they forged correctly. I then contacted your Assitant Manager of the location whose name is also on the document. He did not take the time to address my concern. After 24 hours of no response, I was forced to visit the gym where the head manager admitted to forging my signature as well as other members stating that this was just a mistake with no concern that this is illegal. He then tried to bribe me with 40$ to make the problem go away. I then asked for all my money that I have given to your company be returned. He became noticable irritated with this request and said he would see what he could do. It has been 2 days since then and I am done letting this issue slide. I fear for the financial being of other members and would like to let others know to be careful who they do business with!

Tami Worthington

I love this gym!!! Everyone is so friendly. The classes are amazing!

LeRoy Meyer

Clean, friendly staff and improvements to the club and added equipment. I understand that they're going to do even more improvements in the future so I'm happy to be a member there. Ryan and Jason are very helpful and are always willing to listen to any concerns you might have.

Justine beranek

Usually don't give 1 star reviews but from start to finish overpriced, they make you sign a 2 YEAR contract if you want to sign up, are you kidding me!? Place was very dirty, staff were on their cell phones etc. Stay away, thank goodnesss I didnt sign up.

Sanu sharma

Don't waste your hard earned money here. People from this club is a scammer!

Bre Michalak

ZERO STARS! I never even got the chance to become a member thankfully. I called to ask about membership pricing and I couldn't even get information from the person on the phone. I kept being asked to come in and sit down with this "membership specialist". I just wanted to know an average membership cost. Why was it so difficult??

Christopher Cheuvront

Strongly recommend Emily's classes. Accessible to all levels and she is very knowledgeable.

Nick Nielsen

I’d give 5 stars but I only go to play basketball. My only complaint is they really need to fix those nets on the court, we pay you guys more than enough to do so.

Joseph Roberts

The gym itself is okay. They have all the basic equipment, the facility is reasonably maintained, and the staff is friendly. My concern is regarding the construction schedules that are/have been presented to members, and the inability to sufficiently update members when these schedules are not maintained. One way to interpret this is that the staff (or at least whoever is in charge of keeping members updated) has little regard for its members (hopefully his is not the case and is just an oversight). Over the past several months they have completed several construction projects to upgrade various parts of the facility. The schedule they send out to members prior to the improvements appears to rarely be accurate and they fail to update members when a schedule slip has occurred. For example, they updated tile in the men’s shower area. While they were completing this work the showers were to be unavailable. This is reasonable. However, they missed the schedule by about a week and no official notification was sent out to members during this time. As a working professional who works out in the morning and travels to work immediately following, this is certainly inconvenient (i.e the shower is important). A notice that the schedule has slipped would allow members to plan accordingly and visit other locations during this period of time, minimizing time wasted. I eventually wisened up and began calling the facility prior to making the trip.

Cass Genesis is great place for all fitness goals. Group classes are perfect for time and different levels. Recently updated weight section with numerous new machines. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Jose Gonzalez

Really nice equipment, plenty of room to work out, the amenities are nice and the 24 hour operation is as well. It needs more lockers though

Edward Saunsoci

It has been clean when I’ve been in. The bathroom stall has been fixed and has stayed fixed, unlike when 24hour had ownership of the gym. Great staff, they are loving and open to help with everything.

Becca Maynard

This place is a JOKE!!!! I canceled my membership 3 months ago and first they changed me a huge fee to cancel even though the person I signed up with promised me there was no termination fee. When I tried to dispute that, they said it was irreversible and I had to pay. So it’s been 3 months since I terminated my contract, but they are continuing to charge me. I called multiple times and no one ever answers or calls me back from the business office. Don’t waste your time. The place sucks. I’ll have so spend more of my time this week trying to get MY money back from these scammers! Don’t JOIN!!!!

Alex Phelps

I like all of the things the gym has. The sauna, pool, classes, and weight lifting floor. I don't regret signing up but I do have a issues with it as well. For how much you pay to go there, you shouldn't have to fight for machines to use. They take forever to fix broken equipment. The employees kept calling me asking if I was a member TWO MONTHS after I had become a member and they called me and my husband almost daily until I went down and told them to stop or I'll cancel my membership. Also their personal trainers have almost no nutrition education, they regurgitate information that you can find on pinterest. Not only is most of it inaccurate, it's dangerous and negligent to have uneducated people giving people medical advise that could harm their health. However I like this gym more then blue moon due to the variety that they offer.

Le Ann Moore

The people that work here are the most helpful, kind, understanding and inspirational people ever. They helped me realize that I can reach my goals and they’re there to help every step of the way. So helpful and kind and honestly made me feel so happy and excited to know my goals really are possible and will happen. Thank you you guys so so much!!

K R

My son joined and we have been trying to cancel since June of 2017 due to him moving out of state. He sent a letter to gym directly with date and postmark they said they didn’t get it so he sent another to me and they refuse to accept it and I finally did he change of address in oct so now they want the 150 cancel fee which I am ok with paying but they now want me to pay aug sept oct and nov doe to needing a 30 day cancel notice. Well no your. It getting it it cause you got the original cancellation notice in June. This gym has horrible service and they do not care who’s pocket they hurt and rip off. I am calling the BBB to see what can be done as I have been reading these reviews and looks like I’m not the only one with this issue.

eobard thawne

I truly love this location as it is very convenient. The staff working the front desk are always very pleasant and makes me feel very comfortable before I start a workout. There is always a machine available also. This location has the better basketball Court of all locations and keeps the court stocked with basketballs, never have to ask for them here like the other locations. Good atmosphere that always motivate me to go harder. No matter where I live I would choose only this location hands down

Alesia Sizemore

This gym has caused a lot of problems since I started going here. The only reason I still go is for being stuck in the contract and location convenience. The old manager Ryan started a dispute with a friend of mine and it almost got physical, no higher ups contacted us to apologize. Ryan was removed later for other CRIMINAL offenses towards members. But the roof leaks on the stairs when it rains and either the employees don't notice or bother to put up wet signs. Slippery stairs could kill someone, but apparently they don't care. The employees arent very friendly either, they are all busy talking to eachother rather than talking to the actual members. Along with the old machines. Of the 8 stairsteppers in the gym, only 2 are up to date and smooth. Only 1 has a working heart rate monitor and one doesn't even turn on. Also, if you are a larger person just starting out, do not let them pressure you into a membership. This gym is full of critical members and staff. I Experienced this myself and was nearly discouraged to stop trying to lose weight. I'm thoroughly upset with the happenings of this location.

Overall, this is a good club. For me the positives are: (1) open 24/7, (2) wide range of weights, machines, and fitness tools, (3) separate padded area for stretching and other activities, (4) a whirlpool, pool, sauna, and steam room (yeah, whirlpool). The front staff is very helpful. Another positive is the number of upgrades and renovations taking place which improves the weight room (upper floor) experience. I do not work with the personal trainers or take classes, so I will not speak to them. But I see a lot of people taking classes and in the presence of a personal trainer, so that is a positive indicator. There are three negatives. First, renovations take too long and we are not informed when deadlines are missed. Second, there are several upgrades that should be addressed, but do not appear to be part of the renovation plans (at least they are not advertised yet.). The main one is that the locker room needs an upgrade with wider benches, better showers and shower heads, and some full length lockers. (They did redo the grout recently, which is a plus.) Last is the need for some general maintenance: replacement of the swimsuit spinner (which may be on order, I just don't know), replacement of a chewed up ragged pad in the stretching machine on the upper floor, and replacement of the scale in the men's locker room which is old and often fails. Management is aware of these maintenance items, or should be, because I have mentioned them before. One addition that would be great would be the installation of a bathroom on the upper floor. Currently, you need to walk down to the main floor if 'the need' strikes, which can interrupt your workout. However, I understand that that would be expensive and just not possible right now. All this said, this is a good club with friendly front staff, good equipment, decent facilities, and great hours (and that whirlpool). I recommend this club.

Good gym, embarrassing management and customer service... Continued issues with the Cass St Genesis. I signed up for a 12 month gym membership with Christian. He was made very clear that I was moving within the year and there was clarity that I was able to transfer my membership if there was a Genesis in the state I was moving to. Four months before my 12 month membership was up, I visited Christian again, told him where I was moving and there were no options for me to transfer. With proof of moving, they still planned on charging my account or charging a fee for cancellation. Christian was completely unprofessional and interrupted me several times when I was trying to explain the situation. I spoke with the manager, Ryan Firle, who was seemingly nice at first. He even texted me his contact info so he would update me. After several calls and texts, Ryan was completely ignoring me until he texted me that I wouldn't have further payments. Of course, I have been charged for the past two months. He has continued to ignore me since November 6th after he apologized and said he would look into again for me. A simple call would have made this exponentially better.

Amanda Bendorf

Horrible staff. NEVER return calls. Club manager Ryan is absolutely horrendous with his level of professionalism. Don't give your debit card information to them, THEY LOSE IT! Machines always broken, rates always going up. After 12 years of 24 Hour, I cancelled my membership. DONE WITH IT.

Ruth Sellen

Nice facility, great pool, energizing classes.

Wynetta Jones

ABSOLUTELY Love this gym, large variety of machines and classes, love the hot tub. always clean. And I love my Trainer Veronika she is amazing.

Justin Baird

Had nothing but problems with billing. I updated my card on file, for which the front desk never submitted. I kept accruing late fees and getting phone calls from corporate. I would go in to update my billing once again, for which the front desk still once again didn't submit the paperwork. I spoke to the Gym manager Ryan. Was told it would get taken care of and the fees waived. Going on 8 months from cancelling my membership. Still receiving calls from a situation I was specifically told was taken care of when I cancelled and paid to end my contract. Spoke to the new manager CT, was assured my account would be made current. Guess what, just received another call of being past due. He didn't do what he told me he was going to. In fact I called him back and his response was he didn't remember the conversation. Horribly ran location. The manager and employees do not stand behind what they tell their customers.

Thomad Lefavre

Lindsay is a class act. She was not pushy and was helpful and informational while I decided if I would like to join the gym. As soon as my other gym membership expired I will switch to Genesis because of her customer service!

Lulu Ahmad

they have everything! One of the staffc Warol, was really professional!

Chris

Place is so hot. I wish they'd turn the AC on soon. Blistering hot. Hard to get a workout in. Also, locker rooms are gross. Need remodeled.

Paul Stiles

The personal training staff is top notch, A, number 1. They're the very best! From a very satisfied customer, Paul Stiles

Amber King

Doing some great renovations, go there 4-6 times per week and has everything I need!

Janon Tufte

Love the Group Exercise Classes and functional training area!

Sindy N3

Love love love this club. The cleanliness is top notch and the atmosphere is very inviting. The staff are well versed and definitely help you out with your needs and encouragement. Definitely worth it... especially those awesome classes. Shout out to Lauren's Zumba class. Love It :)

Regina Rae Huerta

Everyone is so helpful and the gym and locker room is always clean!

Steve Jones

HORRIBLE COMPANY AND PEOPLE They lie, they don't return phone calls, they don't return emails, and the management staff is the worse possible staff imaginable. These people are a culture who only care about money and business and obviously don't care about people. I had issues with the company that went all the way to the Vice President and in the end he lied just as much as the rest of the company does. Do not go anywhere near this company (especially this location). They are the worst. Once 24-Hour Fitness was bought by Genesis, the place went downhill and in my opinion is now the worst possible place you could go to. I have dealt with many people inside this company at multiple locations and at the corporate level. Please stay away.

Sara Kennedy

I have been a member for several years and will not go anywhere else! The staff are so helpful, Teri is the best! And their variety of classes are excellent!

Katie Schmitz

Demeaning and not kind. Will not return.

Nick Friedrichsen

I have had a very positive experience at this gym, I am there at 5 am most week days and the staff always acknowledges me when I arrive and leave. They have done a great job with renovations having been to this location when it wasn't Genesis. Great equipment and much cleaner than the previous gym!

rashad booth

Im a single parent of 4. He had to give me a discount for me to even take the membership. Never mentioned 3 yr commitment. Why would someone in my position agree to a 3 yr obligation at a gym? Fair Lending Trade Act. Now i have a $400 debt to a service i used maybe 6 times in my 1st month. Turns out this is a common practice within this company. #ClassAction

Selena Coanner

Great to work.. No one's bothers you unless you some assistant. Going be with this gym a long time.

Ibrahim M Ibrahim

This branch is great. Mostly I go there to attend group classes but I see new machines and equipment for cardio and weights that look great. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because they don't have curtains for men's showers!

Mark Shimizu

This gym has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I needed to cancel my membership due to an expected move out of state, so I called the gym, but they did not let me cancel and instead asked me to email their manager. In over 3 weeks of trying to contact the manager, Ryan Firle, via email, I have received only 1 response and it was not a helpful at all. I was charged not only my monthly fee, but they waited so that I would be charged an annual fee as well. I was a member of 24 before they were bought out, and had no idea I would be charged an annual fee that month. The customer service does not make make any attempt to fix or help you with your problems. This company just wants your money and does not care about your experience. It is extremely irritating, frustrating, and disappointing that Ryan Firle, the manager at Cass, does not care about his gym members. He makes no attempt to respond to emails. You are just a number and money source to him not an actual person, he does not care about you whatsoever. Even if I can't get a refund, Ryan Firle doesn't have the courtesy to email me back letting me know that I can't get a refund. He just ignores the emails you send him.

Tammie Rice

Love the flexibility of being able to go to all the locations at no extra cost. Being able to go to new classes has only increased my love of working out.

Marcia Johnson

So today my husband and I went into genesis to talk about the membership options. We started talking to Zach, he gave us a tour of the place. Then we sat down and talked numbers. He needed to go ask his supervisor a question and that's where it went down hill. So his boss came over, his name is ryan. Ryan then preceded to talk down to us because we came in to talk numbers, he was pissed off we were not joining today. He then called my husband a liar because he told him we didn't have the enrollment fee until the first of the month. See my husband is a disabled combat veteran, and ryan knew this. But this roid rage man continued to put him down because we wouldn't sign up today. I'm sorry but if you are going to put down a veteran that fought for you then there is something seriously wrong with you!!! We will not be joining something that does not support vets but instead puts them down and belittles someone. Veteran or not that's not how a human beings treat each other. Ryan really needs to get a grip on life.

Drew Rogers

Nice facilities. The unfortunate thing is you’re not treated like a person, just a number. I had to make three phone calls after initially freezing my account to have it put into place and when I cancelled my membership they continued to charge my card an additional month. My contract when I joined the club was I paid first and last months dues and when I cancelled my membership no more dues would be charged. That wasn’t the case. The guy helping me said sorry and it was out of his hands. He mentioned he could call customer service so I asked if he would. He picked up the phone for about 3 seconds then said the didn’t answer and that something would be noted on my profile. This place doesn’t care about their customers just the bottom line. They can’t even follow their own policies. I would never recommend someone go to this location.

Laurenso Montalvo

Atmosphere is outstanding! The equipment is top notch and staff is always willing to lend a helping hand!!!

Best gym in omaha

David Peters

I like the 75 And case club a lot, few things that need to change, better and more frequent cleaning in locker rooms and wet areas pool, sauna, steam room. Easier way to check in when getting to the club. Lower prices on supplements.

Tom Hansen

They need to do something about the dirty bathrooms, lack of equipment maintenance, bent bars ect.... there parking lot needs to be plowed of snow so there's places to park. Your holiday hours stink.

Genevieve Williams

The personal training is great!

Kelly Elster

I like Genisus gym but I wish that what Kansas City Genisus gym offers would be hear in Omaha,Nebraska . I also wish they had more activities for kids at some of the locations. I am single mom and I want son to active in working out and also in swimming.

Night Frost

Good machines and decent locations. Unfortunately the gym has lots of fees and get you wrapped in contracts. I had a bad experience with a billing over charge, i was told my account was closed but then later find out they continued to charge me months after and claimed i never closed it... after 30+ calls to management with no empathy and i ended up paying my bill fees anyways just to get out of it.. it was terrible. I wish I could do 0 stars. I do not recommend this gym. Do not trust them at all.

The staff here is awesome! The daytime gals are always so friendly and know me by name. Lots of equipment and machines.

Christopher Hawkins

I tried to cancel my membership because I am no longer able to use this club. I was told that I would need to "come into the club to fill out paperwork." This is not an option so I was put on the phone with a Ryan who was very arrogant and would not allow me to cancel over the phone. After a series of unsatisfactory answers, he eventually hung up on me because I would not play by their rules. I find it highly irregular that there is little to no customer service associated with this club. They have received several automatic debit payments from my account, but cannot take the time to process my cancellation. This is a fraudulent gym. Please do yourself a favor and find a better fitness club. If you are having difficulty cancelling, simply call your bank and have them issue a stop payment. These guys are awful.

I have been a member of several gyms in Omaha since I was a teenager. I can honestly say that the general vibe of Genesis (on Cass) is so laid back, warm and welcoming; I love it. Some gyms can be overwhelming. Not true for Genesis. The members at Genesis are diverse and friendly. The staff at Genesis are also incredibly friendly. I use the childcare center and just the other day I had a little heart to heart talk with one of the women who watches my son. She said she has worked in this gym for years and has really grown to love her job and the children she watches grow up! I also purchased a training package with Jon! He truly listened to me when I asked him to train me like an athlete. I have a very physical job as a Firefighter/Paramedic and I want to be trained as such. In the 5 weeks I have been training with Jon he has given me a no nonsense approach to my training and also explains the reason behind the training program. I am seeing the best results in such a short amount of time. I haven't felt this strong or good in a long time! I highly recommend Genesis! I suggest coming in for a free week membership (as I had my best friend do) so you can experience Genesis for yourself!

Victoria Cervantes

Genesis will rob you blind. Buyer beware. You pay $50 a month for a membership which works out to $600 a year. And yet they charge an additional $40 enhancement fee yearly to maintain their equipment. Because apparently the $600 dollars you already pay doesn't go to the facility and equipment maintenance? This is probably 3rd or 4th gym membership we have had and first time we have had extra "fees."

Khwaja Sanjari

Recently, I have taken membership here, my main reason to join was their swimming pool. But, the pH levels in swimming pool are too high due to improper chlorine management as a result my teeth enamel is getting eroded and I am experiencing huge sensitivity. Would like management to please look into it. Apart from this, its a great fitness center and I would like to continue my membership if this issue is being taken care of.

Christina Hammond

I have had a few issues with this gym. Never have I had a gym that squeezes every penny out from you. I had called in January having an issue with my job and so could not afford the Janurary payment. We made an agreement I would make a double payment in February and I was happy with that. I was not happy that the day my bill was due the money still came out of my account and bounced my account. (This was 7 days later so they had plenty of time to cancel it) I called to ask what the problem was asking to speak to a manager. They said "we will have a manager call and talk to you on this matter as soon as one is available." A day goes by no call another day goes by no call so I call back and ask how much it would be to cancel and it was going to be the 150 plus they still said I owed for janurary and February when the Janurary payment was already made. Also one gym told me I could bring my little brother to play basketball. I asked if there was a cost for me to and said as long as he was with me I didnt have to pay. I get there and was informed it was 15 dollars for a day fee just for him to play basketball for an hour. Needless to say I canceled and am much happier at another gym that doesnt try to nickle and dime you. Also my contact was only suppose to be a 24 month but come to find out it was a 36 month when they told me it was a 24. When you pay for a training session you pay for an hour not 36 minutes. Oh and dont even call to inquire about them because they will call and call and call even after you tell them to stop just to get ur business.

Omar Almanza

Very friendly staff and so helpful! They really want you to accomplish your goals

Jackii Chavez

Got treated very poorly by Patrick, seemed annoyed to help me when i asked questions. Slammed his hand down while I was helping my guest with his waiver because i couldnt respond to his question fast enough. Probly not coming to this perticular location any longer.

Maninder Singh Hora

I usually do not write a review but in this case, I wanted other people to be aware and cautious when they sign any paperwork with Genesis Health Clubs. I was a member of 24 Hr fitness and was paying around $22/per month. When it switched to Genesis Health Clubs they just doubled my membership cost saying you will have tons of facilities. The gym was closer to my place so I went ahead and sign up for it. I signed bunch of documents believing it’s the same process that I did with 24 hrs fitness. Now, about year or two later when I am moving from the location and won’t be able to use this gym anymore I thought to cancel my membership. When I visited Genesis Health Club at Cass I was told that I was in a 30-month contract and have to pay out $150 to get out of contract. So, I asked a question I have to pay for the service I will not be using and they showed me a document saying you signed the contract. Believe me, I never knew on the first hand that it’s a 30-month contract and I have to pay if I break it. I WAS NEVER TOLD but it was written in a contract that I signed. On top of it, I called them like a 1.5 week ago asking that I would like to cancel my membership and front desk rep said they will ask managers to give me a call but I never received a call. Finally, when I got time I stopped on my way to home and asked them to stop the payment for next month, they said they won’t be able to stop it as it’s already processed. How can a payment be processed before it’s actually due date? So, I want you guys to be very cautious before joining because there is a possibility of you getting SCAMMED. I would give 0 stars and a negative rating. I am NEVER EVER COMING BACK!

Jessica S

I go to this location on Friday and Sunday afternoons because they have kid's club hours those days that no other location in the area offers. I appreciate that they think of their members' needs and offer these days and times so I don't have that as an excuse of why I can't work out those days. I also love that they have a garage too! Helps relieve my anxiety knowing my vehicle is safe from weather hazards while I'm working out. One of the front desk employees, Samantha Hughes, is amazing!! She was the first employee I met at Northpark before they closed that memorized my name and my son's as well! She always greets us with a smile and asks how we both are! She gives my son a high-five all the time and is very happy every time I see her! She's a fantastic addition to your gym!! Lindsey Christenham, operations manager, also transferred from Northpark after they closed. I knew her from there, and she always talked to me and told me how great I was doing on my goals! It feels nice to be valued as a member!

Corey andTheTwig

I love this gym. Has everything I need from my cardio warm up to my 180lb incline bench sets. Finally offer a heavy bag for great full body training and cardio. Boxing since I was 16 so that's important to me at a gym. Still needs a speed bag platform though. Eye and hand coordination along with agility speed and killer shoulder workout. I also use the steam room daily and it is so relaxing. Makes it feel like a spa and "I'm special"

Andrew Reed

I've been going here for 10 years. I love the location and the layout. The members have always been extremely nice. I'm only disappointed that management is lazy and non-existent.

Emily Miller

In February, I went in to cancel my membership as my two year contract was up and I was switching to a different gym. I was told my membership was successfully canceled. However, in March, I was still charged. I went in again to discuss with them. They apologized, reconfirmed that my membership was canceled, and informed me my money would be refunded. I still have not gotten a refund. Thankfully, I never gave them my bank account information. They only had my debit card. I paid $5 through my bank to get a new debit card and number in case they tried to charge me again. Very glad that I did as I am now being hounded by corporate for not paying my monthly fees, despite twice being told my membership was canceled. When I called corporate back, they informed me that I need to go into the location to cancel. I do not recommend joining this gym. If you do, DO NOT give them your bank account info. Use a debit or credit card that can easily be changed.

Jake Fisher

Complete lack of transparency and honesty with their membership policy. I had a past due balance that I owed after switching payment methods. So in January I went in to pay my balance and cancel my membership. I paid and was assured that my balance was paid in full and my membership cancelled. A month later in February I received an email stating I owed membership dues for the month of February. I called and they said that they require a 30 day notice to cancel a membership and that since the beginning of the new month fell within that 30 days they were going to charge me for another month. This was never mentioned when I paid my bill in full in January. So I paid again. The money doesn't even matter, it's just the principle of honesty and integrity that this operation lacks.

Chris Vaughn

The main club I go to and the best one in my opinion. Does get a bit crowded sometimes but that's to be expected after work hours. It's legit.

Frank Rapier

I started with this club when it was 24 hour and was a regular at North Park and this location as these were close to home and work respectfully. First, the staff at night is awesome. Always friendly, attentive and respectful. (I can only speak to the PM as I go late due to my schedule). Since the transition to genesis I can honestly say these clubs have not skipped a beat and I like that the options in Omaha have increased with other acquisitions. If I had a complaint, and it really isn't a complaint, I wish all the clubs were still 24 hour. Overall FANTASTIC!!!!! PS- A genesis T Shirt would be cool :) I would rep the gym every time I compete on my bicycle!

Laura Bostwick

My experience at the fitness center has been great! I joined to have access to the pool for lap swimming but when I signed up I received 4 free sessions with a great trainer who set up some workouts for me and so I'm getting even more use from the facility. It is clean and I appreciate the friendly environment,

Susanne Montagne

I went to look into a membership but did not buy. The place looked dirty and smelled like sweat.. The air conditioning didn't seem much cooler than outside, even nonexistent in areas. I asked to see the membership info, and they proceeded to take me on a long, strange tour of the disabled fitness area, that raised more questions than it answered. After 15-20 minutes I realized I needed to go. I asked a friend about the membership fees, he said he had been quoted 300 initiation fee, plus 65 per month. I made the mistake of giving them my contact info, they followed up by visiting my business, leaving negative reviews, and I had to block several numbers calling me from Genesis fitness. Clearly this is no longer the 24 hour fitness that I remember. There are cheaper, cleaner, more well air-conditioned, gyms in the area and that is where I will be going.

Clint Harders

Really nice facilities. Staff is led by an awesome manager named Ryan. As with anything you use daily, you're bound to encounter issues. But what makes this a 5 star gym is the response you get when you bring issues to managements attention. If they can't fix it immediately, Ryan lets you know how this fits in to the long term plan. Really have enjoyed our experience here. Has made it easier to get to the gym 6 days a week!

Sacred Ice Owl

Genesis is a predatory company with nothing in mind besides your money. They will convince you with lies to sign a long contract and tell you an amount to cancel but not that you will have to pay the next 2 months. Avoid this franchise as they will also call nonstop and harrass you even if you block the number. They will use other numbers to contact you. Again this is a money hungry establishment, do not sign that contract.

Paige C

Good club to workout at. Be careful of people breaking into your vehicle during the day and night.

mitch strong

24hour was so much better. Especially with their hours of operation on days like this (Memorial Day)

LaThomas Graves

Convenient, friendly, great group fitness classes!

Will Lew

i really liked this gym when it was 24 hr fitness. so i decided to revisit since new ownership with the 7 day free pass . first off nothing was free about the pass the second i got there they showed me the facility than brang me right to the table start grilling me for a membership maybe i could've been won over with a real free pass cause they have great equipment for gym nuts like me , but we couldn't reach a price that worked for both of us and i felt so pressured i didn't even want to work out anymore .... I understand sales/ commision but i don't care to be pressured when i came for something you guys advertised straight forward . good luck people

Jason Craig

Front desk staff are very rude. They barely acknowledge a customers presence entering or leaving the gym unless they are an attractive female or big meat head. If you are new to genesis, avoid the gym on Cass and go out west to Sprague. They have excellent customer service and you will always feel welcome.

Denise Thomas

I love the gym! BUT, the staff is not the friendliest and the gym REALLY needs a deep cleaning. Because it's so convenient, is the only reason I still come.

baylee williams

such a great facility! love that it's open 24hrs so we can go after work even when it's late. only downside it that it gets really hot in there!

Bobbi White

Can't stand the management at this place. My son joined 10 months ago. Shortly after, he developed a medical condition and has never worked out here. The refuse to cancel his membership without a huge fee. I've been paying his monthly fees to keep his credit clean only to find out the person signed him to a 30 month contract. He's had 2 surgeries and is preparing for a 3rd and will not be able to to work out for as long as he has this contract. Thanks for adding to his pain Genesis!

Antonio Pierre

The first and only time I went here was unpleasant, I wanted information on pricing but before I could have any they wanted contact information first and to me that's upsetting. I'm here (in facility) talking to you and you have my name that showed my commitment levels right there, what wasn't reciprocated was your level of potential customer appreciation. Even after voicing my disliking your methods you did nothing to change that, and to me it's not how you earn someone's business. Thank you for the chance to see at the end of it all you just don't care.

Nicholas Ware

When I first signed up in September of 2016 this was a great gym. Everything I needed to get in a great workout. Friendly staff. Not too crowded. Fast forward to present and this gym is ridiculously overcrowded due to a first of the year sale that has extended to nearly march. They continue to pack new contracts in the door. I can no longer complete my crossfit or lifting workouts without fighting for equipment constantly, and the cardio machines are nearly all taken regularly. Weights are now disorganized because of so many people. I just found that I was charged a $34 "enhancement fee" which is was not informed about. I've held my opinion to myself until now, but Ive had enough. Do not sign up here. Unfortunate.

Kelzbee1 w.

Gensis is bogus, they trick you into signing a contract, that you can't get out of until you pay the full year balance. I was told I would only pay $41 and ended up paying $58 a month. I never received a contract, when I asked if they can print a copy for my records, the manager Rick told me their printer didn't work and ask if I could take a picture with my phone of the computer screen...wow how unprofessional. I was told by Ashly that if I wanted to cancel my service to come up, I did, just for them to tell me they couldn't. They told me to contact corporate, I asked for their number, no of them had it.

Jean Fullwood

Joined this club 3 years ago. Many improvements have been made. The management staff is attentive, responsive and professional Group Ex instructors and classes are on point, fun and effective!! Happy to call Cass street my home club.

Marcus Vlogs

Gym heaven

Douglas Paterson

It's a good place. Staff at the front desk are usually very helpful and courteous. That's important! Equipment is maintained well and new equipment has been coming in. I liked the schedule of work out sessions posted on the large room and hope to see it back. -- Just curious what kind of activity is going on. The transition from 24-hour fitness to Genesis was a bit slow but it seems now, 6-8 months later, to be complete. I wish Genesis the best.

Yasmine Khachab

I have been a member at this location since it started the transition from 24 hour fitness. I thank the gym manager personally for making sure my membership was properly handled. I enjoy the classes offered and new machines have started to be added. The front desk staff is friendly and the gym is always clean.

Jared David

Was a member here for 5 years. Last month I moved and told them I needed to cancel. I was told that no one was there to help me and that I needed to come back another time, I moved. 3 days after I moved I called and told them I needed to cancel, I was told you can only cancel in person. I told them that I no lived 8 hours away and that was impossible. They gave me an email and the person I emailed me asked for proof of move, I send an insurance statement with my new address dated may 1st. Told them I had come in April 27th and the corroborated it with there system because I checked in. I was told there would be a $150 cancelation fee and I wouldn't receive my May fee back because they have a 30 day notice. I agreed and on May 15th they finally canceled my membership and charged me the fee and told me it would be backdated to April 27th. Now fast forward to June I have been charged the monthly membership charge. I called and they asked when I canceled and I told them April 27th like I was told would be the date. They said no you canceled the May 15th and theres a 30 day notice. They said "it's black and white". I have now paid for 2 months of a membership that I have physically been unable to use in addition to a cancellation fee. For the last few years I actually thought genesis was a good gym that cared about their members but turns out they are just a bunch of money grabbing thugs that screw you in every way they can. Do you self a favor and go somewhere else.

Rotten Bunny

I’ve been going here for 2 years now and they need to work on their computer systems. Every time I sign in it says invalid account until I try it again and it finally works. I came in today and they said I did not have an account and i had to leave or pay $35 to start a new one. I know for a fact i have a membership here and they know me by now. Their computer systems work poorly and don’t look deeper into situations and just ask for people to leave.

Kent McCrimmon

Lots of machines plenty of things to do even when it's busy. I like the nice two new squat racks upstairs great when you wanna pair your squats with hang cleans. The only that'd take this place from good to great would be some rubber bumper plates and bearing bars for hang cleans!!!

Dawn Worthington

Supportive and enthusiastic staff and instructors!

Tyler

The gym itself is nice. Equipment is good and the staff is nice. But if you want to play basketball, good luck getting on. Just a bunch of guys running around recruiting their friends to play. So if you don't know anyone have fun with sitting for hours and never play one pickup game

Joshie Versace

2.5 stars. ...It’s not great, but not horrific either. Upstairs workout area 85-90 degrees in summer. Very very hot. Will not turn down the A/C no matter how many times you let them know. Everyone super sweaty. Equipment is wet with sweat and gross. Starts to smell like a locker room. It is big, and has most equipment. Open 24 hours. Not overly expensive. Staff is ok (some are really nice, some not) Only 1 bathroom for each sex in entire facility (generally always needs cleaning). Only 2 water fountains. Maintenance staff is bad (if they exist). Garage full of trash and never cleaned in the 1 year I have been there. Parking lot sometimes doesn’t get plowed for days. They don’t salt any of the walkways either. Nearly slipped badly 5-6 times (if pregnant do not come here in winter). Smh. Gaping potholes everywhere takes a year to fill. Overall, meh. Could be a lot better if normal managerial operations were followed. Thank you

Brendan Doolittle

I moved from Arizona to KC to Omaha, it was hard to find a great gym in KC and Omaha then I found the Cass Genesis they even honored the 7 day pass I found online (with no pressure to sell me), I worked out for 5 days in a row and decided to make Genesis on Cass my location! Very glad I did I use to work at mountain side fitness in Arizona and it reminds me of my Job/GYM. Clean, friendly workers, and great nutrition shop. This location will be turning out the future Genesis location managers, Great job to the Cass manager!!!

Nina Batenhorst

This place has all the equipment you need. They even have a nice crossfit type area with tires and boxes. It does get a bit crowded depending on when you go. Comparing to the other Genesis (old 24 Hour locations only) it seems a lot cleaner and smells better.

Paul R

I like the workout aspect of this gym, the equipment was very good, but the only time it is good to workout there is during off hours. It cannot handle lunch time or after work as you have to fight over or share equipment with others. The locker rooms are too small no matter what time you go. If there are 3 or more people in there, it is difficult finding a place to set your gym bag down. My advice is to go there already dressed for your workout and go during off hours. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

Dyuti agarwal

Has a lot of fees that is not disclose ahead of time, make sure you check your contract before signing..

Conrad Sams

Ryan and his staff are amazing. Always motivating and always avaiable to any questions i have. I will continue to send anyone that wants to go to a good gym to Ryan. Good job guys!

Jerry Jacobs

Best gym in Omaha !

Gage Dicus

They will screw you over, don’t sign the contract it’s way more expensive than other gyms

Jessica Kowalsky

Great staff! Friendly management that listens! Love the new equipment and Upgrades! Definitely my favorite Genesis in Omaha!

Jake Ruther

People like hanging out in the parking garage for some reason, ALWAYS make sure your door is locked before going inside. A lot of douch bags, and inconsiderate people come to this gym. I was on a machine for less than a minute a guy came up to me asking if I was almost done. Guys going around Cat Calling girls, groups of guys hanging out by one machine... I regret going during peak hours aka any time that's not the weekend.

Casaundra Kimbrough

I'm enjoying all of the changes that have been made. I think Genesis offers something for all fitness levels!

Benji

Best gym there is for weight lifting and building strength. The staff is incredibly friendly for the most part, and most of the people you see in the weight room are friendly as well. It's likely that you'll see the same people every time you go if you maintain a routine schedule. Wish the pool was bigger, but that's hardly an issue at all!

Hollie S.

I like the set up of this gym. The work-out equipment is sorted by the muscle group it serves, which is nice when planning a workout. The basketball court is fun as well. The rowing machine has a fish game on it... which is silly but I really like it. The pool and hot tub are great after a workout. The staff is very friendly, even when I forget my card. I miss the finger scanner to get in, since I never once forgot my finger at home... lol.

Lindsay Belmont

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Group fitness schedule is great and the classes are exactly what I was looking for. Really enjoy training with Ashley as well!

Ryan Brown

Good facilities, small locker rooms. I cannot endorse this location, though - today I was charged a $34 "enhancement fee", something that wasn't discussed during my sign-up session a few weeks ago. I was given the opportunity to have five sessions with a personal trainer - and I went to one, and wished I hadn't. After being put through a tough but manageable workout, the trainer put the full-court sales press on me in his office. He tried EVERY sales tactic in the book to get me to pay for a $200/week package of training sessions. When I constantly shot him down, he left it with "It's your body, dude. Don't blame me for what happens.".

Katie Coughran

I've been a member at this gym for years, and it's my favorite place to work out. Genesis seems to be very motivated to keep the facilities well-maintained, and also making quite a lot of improvements. The staff is always friendly, and there is a nice variety of great classes. I would recommend this club to anyone!

Ethan R

Gym was ok, seemed new. My problem was my GF and I signed up for the Gym then that GF ended up stealing all my money and all my cards bounced. My bill racked up cause i couldn't pay and i had to leave the state to restart my life and i get charged for many months. When i tried to explain to the staff my troubles of not being in the same state and getting screwed. I got no sympathy from management they sent debt collectors instead.. absolute terrible company , you want a staff that cares about you and your life and if it gets tanked that they will help you. DO NOT GO HERE.

Bebe McCammond

You take a tour of the gym they show and tell you all about the things they offer, but look closer. Not a single usable basketball in the court, mold in the womens showers, very few of the earbud outlets work on the machines, most of the employees are too busy talking to each other than working, the mens showers have no doors, and classes are few and far between. Positive is they are close. If ANY other gym would open in the neighborhood this place would close.

Club Cass st, Omaha, NE.. is an all around inviting atomsphere of all ages (13 w/parents+). Get in as early at 430 am to 530 am you have beautiful time to self as well as an inviting and invigorated Geriatric crowd which is great to see. Club Genesis offers all gym enthusiast wants; from the elliptical floor which also have a few sets of stairs (love these) to the weights /free weights with upper and lower floor space to invigorate your own exercises to build, chisel or tone those body parts. The lower has a studio that holds many classes that will leave you invigorated and gasping with excitement.. wanting to do again. Oh yes, let me not forget our basketball floor/ gym. Our club have great staff that will accommodate to their best abilities whether a late account to assisting and welcoming you to Our Club Cass. The club is kept up very well thanks to our maintenance staff which leads me to our jacuzzi pool sauna and steam room, my main like of this club, this area of steam and water soothes those muscles we use every day, with nicely kept bathroom / shower room and lockers. Lastly I would say our floor setup is well placed and easily accessible to all. Good location and parking is plentiful per your time of going... Holiday time may receive parking. Enjoy the holidays to all, Thank you, LDBarrow

Mariana Phipps

I have been to several Genesis locations, and they are fine---but I like Cass because it is near my home in Dundee and my work at Nebraska Furniture Mart. It is also literally next to the Keystone trail if I want to do some of my cardio outside.

Asia Sladek

I received a 7 day guest pass several months ago while I was still a member at my previous gym. Now that I am looking for a new gym I thought it would be a good time to use the pass and possibly sign up at genius. Upon arrival I was told my pass was no longer valid and they sent me in my way. They did not even ask me why I was there or if I was interested signing up. They must not care about getting new members to join their gym. They could not have cared less about my potential business. I will gladly take my business elsewhere to somewhere that takes a personal interest in my potential to sign up.

Denzell Jackson

I like that there are multiple locations and all have a huge variety of equipment to use. I am a huge fan of the kids club because I am a mother and before joining Genesis I was unable to work out due to not having a sitter for the kids. I love the sauna area. There's a basketball court. Genesis has something for everyone at a great price.

Kat Slaughter

Great gym. Always clean and the staff is very kind. I've been working with a great trainer and can't wait to continue seeing the results!

Alex Dixon

Pretty sure they are selling the information they get from people. After visiting here I started receiving static/sales calls from random numbers, one of which is directly tied to this facility. I've heard horror stories in the past about some very sketchy things Genesis has done with data, and it seems it's still an issue.

Tiffany Easterling

Love this gym! Very clean and gives you variety! Also, I love the fact I can bring the kiddos and workout without any worries! Love that it's 24hrs

Andrea Boyd

This location is currently under construction, but they still have a lot of equipment available and a great schedule for classes. I love this location!
