This Gym corresponds to the category of Gym.
Place is cleaner than in the past.
Need fix some equipment
staff has no training and could not answer any questions. The facility was nice and clean. Poorly managed and "deals" are poor at best. why pay a start up fee and initation charge when no answers are given no one can return a call and no one can seem to care at all.
The 2 girls that work the night shift are absolutely amazing I constantly see them picking up the equipment an making sure everyone is ok at the gym
Equipment almost always working/quickly repaired. Rain doesn't leak in through the ceiling. Equipment rarely wiped down -. Clean nice interior. Normally no wait time to use equipment. Overall a great gym.
Equipment was all in major disrepair, and there were no sanitary wipes available to try and clean the ripped up equipment. We were profiled by the staff as we tried to use the 3-day VIP pass, which they didn't even want to honor. So, no, I do not recommend this place.
We are members here and love it, staff is great, very clean throughout the gym and great kids area, we bring our kids every time
Best gym in twin falls easy. Great hours, great staff, quality equipment throughout and sufficient amounts of equipment to fulfill workouts regardless of how packed the gym is. I love this place!!
Front desk is helpful and the gym atmosphere is great too. Nick Jones and Rain are so helpful. They really go above and beyond to ensure my experience at golds is 5 Star
I had a personal trainer there and also a membership. Trainer was supposed to be $90 twice a month but was charged an extra $90 because I had an extra payday in Dec. I was also charged $40 for gym maintenance in December but didn't see any maintenance. Machines are supposed to be secured to the floors but aren't, mats are bowing up so have tripped over them a few times, showers are dirty, when walking from pool or shower the floor is slippery when wet, when I would go in for my training sessions we would have to wait on machines cause people would be sitting on them playing on their phones or flirting with each other as if it was a bar. When I tried to cancel my membership I was given the runaround, never got called back when I left messages, person who could cancel it for me was never there. I finally got so tired of all the BS I just gave up and never paid. Hope they go down.
My experience with golds... not good to say the least. I went for about 2 weeks. Then quit. The facility is far to small to occupy after work sessions. The staff is garbage for help. I try to cancel and after over a year (my pointless contract they said nothing about) I'm still trying to cancel. And wouldn't ya know I just got charged again today. But if you're looking for a place to rape you on price and contracts, mirror selfies, over crowded, lack of space and equipment or reliable equipment rather. Then this is your place!
Gold's is GREAT again!!! New owners have made significant improvements. Equipment is maintained, gym is bright & clean and staff is welcoming & friendly :-)
Went in to sign up and get told a price and activation fee, fine. Go through putting all my information in the system and then get told, oh yeah, there is an annual maintenance fee due in 3 months (which was never initially mentioned) - ok. Look at receipt for activation fee and there was an extra $20 for key tags charge. When I call the guy out on it, he doesn't say anything. What type of company conducts business like this? Oh yeah, my contract says I have to pay for lost key tags - but since the contract is Signature Fitness that doesn't apply now because it's Gold's Gym. During my free trail period I learned a few things - #1, the parking is awful! #2, most TV'S on the machines don't work. #3, staff can't answer anything and the reply is always come back later and ask someone else. 4#, machines that were broken when I 1st started are still broken over a week later. 5#, people come in as they please - who knows if they are actually memebers.
Best place to do fitness in Twin Falls. Love this place.
Sometimes equipment takes a while to be repaired, but there are quite a few options and amenities. Some staff are nice, others not so much.
Staff is younge and carless. The cable has been down for months and the staff says they are working on getting it back. Can't wait to be done with my membership!
Great gym, alot of great staff. Clean with a lot of choices for machines/equipment.
Group classes are fun and offer a variety, the instructors are very motivating and friendly
A great gym that's 24 hours and a friendly staff.
Don’t bother attending This gym facility. I had an appointment there Friday night for an assessment as a senior citizen the gentleman that was supposed to give me the assessment was not there and not been told that I was going to be there I was lied to a myriad of times saying that someone would call her they would get in touch with me that has not happened as of this morning at approximately 8 o’clock I went to their office and talk to the assistant manager and told him the situation and he was we don’t operate that way well yes you do so here’s the deal save me time save your money go somewhere else.
So far good I like it
I would not recommend this gym to anyone. Do not sign up for the top 1 they lie. Classes are available at any level apparantly. Paperwork I was given with gym information is outdated an I am constantly told the information changed well update your stuff. Lack of informative employees and personal trainers are a joke our session was supposed to be 1hr an it lasted 10 minutes. They wanted referrals I wont be referring anyone an I'll cancel as soon as my contact ends very disappointed felt bait an switched.
I love this place. I have been 2 years in this place and I want to give special thanks to the working crew in this place specialy with new management and the front disck which are friendly and nice and cooperative with their customers. I want to point to the out standing performance of Jessa at the front disck. She alweys at the same high level of caring and cheerfulness throught her shift. She understands her customers which is I think is a level beyond of just being nice which she is nice too. Thank you.
Why pay to do what you can easily do at home fore free
Well the amenities are nice the membership contracts would be reasonable if it accommodated a night life for graveyard workers I love going but it's always closed at the wrong time during weekdays for graveyard shift employees.
Lots of equipment to use and the staff is always friendly. A bit pricey but you get a lot. Just wish was separate hot rooms for the men and women. Fills up fast.
I love coming at night when there's hardly anybody else
Bought a 6 month plan on top of a personal trainer. Personal trainer did nothing she said she would, she was always late, and she honestly didn't care when I was at my breaking point (I was about to puke). When you walk into there it's jocks who lift 400 pounds at a time and skinny girls who are everywhere. I spent 700 dollars there in 6months. Then when I didn't want my trainer anymore they refused to give me back my money because she wasn't doing her job. This place sucks and honestly not worth it.
I like gold gym
Awesome gym with a great facility and loads of things to do. Trafficked pretty consistently with lots of people but staff are very friendly. Available classes are clearly listed on website and to my experience instructors such as Jeff do a great job. Facility includes pool, racquetball courts, spinning class, climbing machines, and a plethora of other tools to exercise. I have never been to a gym that is better equipped.
My membership was stripped from me for defending my friends, Be cautious when filing a complaint about employees here they don't handle problems professionally. Instead they pin the problem on you and jump to irrational conclusions.
We've had great experiences here! I really like the 24 hour availability Monday - Friday, the extended hours on the weekend, and the staff here. When my daughter and I signed up, new owners had just taken over. I think they are doing a great job and have made very positive changes over the past few months. My daughter has spent part of the summer interning in Pocatello, and prefers this Gold's Gym over their bigger and newer facility. The layout is very user friendly. We started out with just my daughter and I joining, but now our whole famly has signed up. She's been recruited for a college basketball scholarship, and our trainer is awesome. He's done absolute wonders for both her and I. We live all the way out in Murtaugh and make the 45 minute drive twice a day to workout becuase it's total worth it!!
Staff NEVER knows how to answer questions. No one was able to tell me how much it was to add my husband. They told me my yearly fee was due in February, but they charged, without notice, in December causing me to overdraft. I dont think they really wipe down equipment much. The locker rooms are disgusting. I once left a paper tag in a locker to see if it would be found and cleaned...6 months later its still there. The cable is still crappy. The manager is impossible to reach. No one really seems to give a crap about their job, or take any pride in it.
They don't really know what they are doing unless they are the trainers
Sales rep called me but had no response when questioned about my friends 300$ headphones being stolen in sight of security cameras. The employees that day told her ‘tough luck’ and didn’t bother to check the cameras. The sales rep told me that ‘you should be responsible for your items’ and was ignorant towards the situation; saying that you shouldn’t leave items behind. Although there is some partial truth to this, why go to a gym that won’t offer a safe workout environment? Will thieves get away with stealing your items too?
If you are the kind of person that likes getting in an abusive relationship with someone that will treat you poorly once they get a ring on your finger then this is the gym for you! That was no longer for me and we have officially signed papers and our relationship is over. It was a painful and expensive separation...but I am glad I am out of it. Do not be sucked in with all the promises up front and the "fancy" equipment.
I did not find the equipment in good repair. The General Manager did not return my calls. MOST of the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I wouldn't take a shower in the locker room...I can't believe they call that CLEAN.
A pool! Are you kidding me? This place is awesome! Great friendly service.
Fantastic gym and community. Staff is very willing to help you find a workout if you're not feeling it when you come in. Energetic and casual atmosphere.
I been coming alot at night an Julia has been amazing she always keeps the gym so clean an shes very attentive makes my after gym shakes perfect shes always so nice an greets me everytime I have had horrible service by most day shifts which is why I chose to come at night an I would come every night because my gym experience is always amazing when shes on the clock. *mudrovich family
Really disliked the service here
Served the purpose for one month. Amazing number of ppl that dont wipe down what they touch.
Helped me find my lost keys! Thank you!
Facility and equipment are pretty good. They are consistently out of towels though.
it's a great place to get in shape
One of the worst gold gyms I have ever experienced. Rates are way too high for personal training.
Great place to workout with lots of equipment plus many amenities e.g. racket ball, sauna, pool, daycare.. there is a hair salon and tanning next door as well
Best gym in Twin
Equipment always broken. They won't talk to you about a memebership unless you g through registration. Customer service is horrible they are arrogant and rude. Don't waste your money. The YMCA is better!
great Zumba classes
Unfriendly staff, dated equipment, and dirty pool. The facility as a whole needs some major upgrades and the ceiling leaks in many places around the gym. Probably the best option in Twin if you are looking for an all around gym though as there are no better options.
Didn't go in, no basketball court. Dude outside was cool! Said the closest court was at the Jerome recreation center. Recreation center was PERFECT! 15min. Away.
Should add a couple more Barre classes. 2x per week is not enogh.
Love it great place to work out and to let out some stress from work!!!
Very nice, clean, large, open gym. They have all the equipment anyone would ever need, as well as a pool, hot tub, and sauna!
Not bad. They have really improved in the last year.
I cancelled my membership because the equipment at this place is always broken. Cancelling is a nightmare. They will continue to charge you even after you cancel. It's a total scam. I would recommend everyone stay far far away.
Excellent Period
ALl
Customer service was frustrating for a little bit, being told different things by three different people, but it worked out in the end.
Makes me feel good after working out.
I giving 2 stars because this is my first week, the first few days started out well enough, on day 2, I was to meet with a fitness trainer to discuss my fitness goals. Our appointment was scheduled @ 9am, I arrived @ 8:49am, & the people at the front desk were very nice, told me to have a seat, offered me water.. By 9:30am, I wasn"t happy! Decided to go workout, instead of just sitting there. About 9:45, the Trainer (Nazi) comes up to me & says, You ready? There was no "Sorry, I'm late"... Strike 1. When I enrolled I was told I could bring a friend for a week for free to see if they would like working out there. I brought my adult daugther, we walked in & I scanned my key tab & no one said anything, so I showed her around & we worked out. Today, Saturday June 16th, 2018.. i walked in with my daughter scanned my tag & we proceded to go workout..When the Front Desk Clerk said, "Excuse me, do you have a membership?" to my daughter. I said, "She with me, I was told that when I joined, I could bring a guest for free for a week. (This was only the second time, I brought her) The clerk, Shanna was immediately very rude & stated that you need to sign a waiver each time you come in & it's $5 dollars each time. I told her, "That's not what I was told when I toured the facility, repeated what Nazi (the fitness trainer) had told me. Shanna's reply was, "Well during the month of May, it was bring a friend for free but not now. I went to my car for the car & brought back the 5 dollars. I told Shanna that I just joined in the second week of June & that I was told that I could bring a guest for 1 week for free, gave her the 5 dollars & went to work out with my daughter. Strike 2. I've worked in customer service for over 20 years, if I was ever that rude to a customer, I would have been repremanded by boss or received a write up. Seriously people..customer service is the very first thing that people judge a company on. Very dissapointed!!
Horrible customer service. Managers don’t return calls, and if you try and exercise a freeze on your account be prepared to be lectured. There’s no follow through with what management promises and what they deliver. The people at the local YMCA are much easier to deal with and in my opinion the facilities are pretty equal.
Fun place to workout.
I.go there all the time staff is great
Nice assortment of equipment. I'd like more gym hours. Really nice place when less full
Best gym in Twin Falls at a competitive price. 24 hours during week is super nice also.
Extremely frustrated with this place. I cancelled my membership months ago, but my husband called and cancelled a month ago. He went in the day after he called and signed the paperwork and officially cancelled. Come May...and guess what? My husband's membership was pulled from our account! He called and they had no record he had ever cancelled and did not even have the paper he had signed. My husband was very frustrated and went in, in person to try and get it strait. He wanted the money back for the month they charged, but they refused. They offered a free month if he decides to return. He made sure they cancelled his membership and gave him proof this time. Every time either of us has sought help in this place the staff is extremely poorly educated on the help we need and can never point you to someone who does know. We won't be returning and it's unfortunate. They need to train and educate their staff and make sure they cancel memberships right when requested. Waste of money.
Tried to cancel with them. I wasn't in a contract because Im a college student. They charged me for the month and 50$ on top of that. This place is a joke. Don't go there. Go to the college gym, its only 15$ a month.
Clean and functional equipment.
Very nice staff, by far the best amount of equipment and activities than other gyms in Twin, also their pitch wasn't pushy just showed us around and asked is how we wanted to workout.
This gym would be so much better if it was 24 hours, and the Staff at the front desk knew what they were doing.
This place has all the equipment PLUS a dry sauna :)
They made it very difficult for me to cancel my membership. I had to call and leave multiple messages (the person in charge of memberships was NEVER there) and I only received a call back once. I eventually went to the gym to cancel and I was 8 months pregnant at the time. They tried to convince me to keep my membership because of all of the baby weight. The last thing a pregnant woman wants to hear is that she's fat. Never again.
Operationally this is a poor establishment. Dressing rooms in disrepair, moldy smells showers. Pool and hot tub are 50/50 on being open. Racquetball courts are barely maintained. Have done some upgrades on equipment.
Zumba class is awesome. But they took out the women's section. One employee said so everyone can mingle. Like a meat market. The equipment in front doesnt conform to older women as well. Hate the new set up.
Not a good experience here. Run away from here.
I only joined because anytime fitness went out of business. Golds is Always packed, sometimes you cant even find a parking spot. Had the membership 3 months and used them once. Canceled just so I didnt have to deal with them anymore. The night time hours are fine if you dont mind the stearoid freaks. Walked in once at night and walked right back out
I think it’s a little over priced but it’s still ok
great gym
The new owners have done a tremendous job making it a clean, bright, efficient place to work out. I waited for 6-7 minutes to order a protein shake and finally gave up when the girl behind the counter continued to ignore me, but that's the only downside. The new parking lot set up is awesome too.
They hired a whole new staff who is super helpful and always fun to talk to. Judgement free environment, they're always getting new equipment. Love going to this gym.
Staff always friendly and equipment is clean
Increased availability & cleaner than inder previous management. Many improvements!
Please be careful with this company. Once you sign the contract you are there to serve their interests they are not there to serve yours even when you speak to management. Their word means nothing and they have no respect for your time or schedule.
A plethora of machines open to use, great trainers and motivating atmosphere. Women's room with cardio and separate weight machines making working out comfortable.
Haven't gone in over a year, went to cancel membership and the guy who greeted me was rude about it and told me to come back in 7 days. Thanks for making waste more gas.
Not the most comfortable place to work out. There are many options now in Twin Falls.
I workout here 5-6 days a week and I love it. The employees are friendly and helpful. I personally know the owners they are great and I know they are honest and fair. I've made friends with countless people while working out here and they are all friendly and helpful motivate me to better myself physically and mentally.
Best gym in town!
No communication on what you have to do when it expires or how it works they just want you to sign on and take you money.
Their crossfit like class is taking over the gym. I can't get a workout in anymore. I feel ripped off. But where can I go.
I called in to get membership information usually you would get helped right away because they want your business and to show you why you should want to join their Gym. Three days later still nothing.
