My wife called to get prices because the ones posted anywhere online aren't stable. The first person who answered told us they weren't allowed to know their prices and we needed to get transferred to a trainer. The trainer wouldn't give us prices unless we went in for a walkthrough. No straight answers. They wanted personal contact information and goals and needs in working out. Usually phones calls to customer service should be easy. They made it shady and difficult refusing to give any answers. This is a gym filled with salesmen rather than employees that care about business. We would most likely sign for this gym no matter the cost if they were an honest business.

I have been looking for a new Gym to go too the last few months I had tried out Golds Gym for a few weeks and for the price you can't beat it. I signed up for a 15 month contract and Jon the sales staff also the only one I would work with did a fantastic job on selling me. If you are looking to sign up for Golds Gym go to there lead salesman Jon. I look forward to spending the next 15 months in this gym.

I’ve been going to this gym for almost 3 years now. Equipment is not well maintained and cleaning up weights is not enforced. What’s really annoying is they never inform their members when their opening time and closing time changes. This is super annoying when you take supplements to visit the gym at a time it is usually open just to pull into the parking lot and see that they are closed. Not a fan of the way this facility is managed.

We met with Keegan at the Idaho Falls Gold’s gym and were told prices to sign up both myself and my husband with a no contract membership. A month after signing up an received a job offer and decided to go in and cancel my membership. Come to find out Keegan had gotten fired for not being honest. Gold’s Gym is refusing the fix the mistake that their employee made and allow me to cancel my membership. We signed up knowing that “the great thing about Gold’s is that you can cancel anytime you want.” It’s not right that Gold’s Gym is refusing to fix the mistake that their employee made, knowing that he was not honest with us. Make sure you get everything in writing because they have no problem telling you one things and doing another.

Love Golds Gym itself. When it comes to management in Idaho Falls gym, not so much. I have had management only help me one time when it came to having an issue. The general manager never once tried speaking to me to try resolving the problems. Instead he has his front desk employees try resolving it themselves. As a member I have had more then three employees complain to me about how things are ran in the gym (which is sad). I had quite a few problems with my membership. The least they could have done was send an email, phone call, or text stating the issues and I didn't receive one.The lack of communication is pathetic.

I love their lifting equipment and the staff is always very polite, but when I signed up which was in February of 2014, I was promised wifi the next month and tanning beds in a few months. We are close to almost a full year in and neither one have came in. Golds is great if you only want to lift. Not to mention, to do anything else but lift is an added on fee.

It's a nice gym with racquetball courts, pools, massage, and several class rooms. It has newer equipment and the gym is well attended.

Great gym with a lot of space to do your own stretching and plyometrics. Cardio equipment is fair, a lot are broken or make funky noises. Would be nice to see more stair climbers as well. They have a nice hot tub, dry sauna and pool with a place to buy smoothies right in the gym.

I am trying to be unbiased about my experience at Gold's gym so people can read this review and judge for themselves. I signed up on a Black Friday and I communicated to them that I did not want to be in a contract because I was only going to be in the area for 6 months or less. When I went to cancel the other day out of the two people that I talked to I was told by one that I had a contract to 2019 and another that I had a contract to the end of this year. I was told that I might have been put into a default template of a contract and that was the reason that I was in a contract. After communicating with their regional sales manager they refused to budge, and I will be paying early cancellation fee and be done with them. I hope that this will help someone make a decision about the gym. They will not be getting any more business from me if I end up in a location that they are present, and I will not be recommending them to anyone else.

I had to contact this gym about cancelling a contract for one of my children. They helped me IMMEDIATELY and didn't jerk me around or make me send them certified mail etc. like some other gyms do. I was able to help my kid get out of a binding contract that would have caused her serious hardship. Kudos for excellent customer service!

Music blaring from speakers in the main workout area while different music is blaring/competing for attention from speakers in an adjacent smaller workout area. Even with earplugs/earphones it's torture. I tried the ladies gym where it is quiet but it was too warm and the TV screens were not working. The treadmills in both areas make annoying noises and many TV screens on treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bikes are not working. The machines need tune ups.

Decent facility, however, their sales folks are flippant, and your sign up terms are a moving Target. They refused to give me a quote over the phone so I made an appointment for which the salesman didn't show up. Then, later was quoted a lower sign up fee only to be told later that I was wrong and was charged twice the original quote. Make sure you get any quote in writing.

I really like gold's gym! I love that I can play racquetball one day, do a class with a great instructor the next, or lift weights with a friends. There are so many choices without the crazy cost. I'm very excited for the swimming pool and I hope it gets here soon.

What a bunch of crooks and liars....The gym is nice though. I will never give them another dime of my money after the expirence I went through. I had two people tell me two different things when I cancelled my membership. Even after I cancelled they still took money out of my account and instead of returning it the said "oh well you can have another 30 days." Why the hell would I want another 30 days after cancelling my membership?

If I could I wouldn't even give them 1 star, they are crooks! When my wife and I signed up we were promised a one week free trial and when we were signing up for that they asked for our lisences. So I went out to the truck and when I had come back in they switched the papers to sign us up for a year and told us that it is only $100 to cancel. I was irritated but it was a nice looking gym and I thought that we would use it. Then last month I got a different job and my wife and I couldn't make it to the gym so I went in to cancel our membership and they told me it was $500 to cancel! Gold's gym is a joke and I would advise everybody DO NOT GET A MEMBERSIP HERE!!!

I like Golds gym a lot better than most others. This one has a lap pool with a jacuzzi and steam room. There are only three lap lanes like all of the lap pools at every Golds gym I've been to. It's also one of the few places where you can park a truck nearby. The strip mall it's in also has a movie theater, all kinds of restaurants, including Thai and Indian, and a lot of different stores.

A really solid gym/atmosphere to go to. The front staff is always very welcoming, the gym seems to be well taken care of as well. Equipment is RARELY down, and there are enough places to work out that you never seem to be crowded by anyone else if you play it smart. I give it a 5/5, but I wish they would enforce: re-racking weights where they were found, and a bit more emphasis on wiping down equipment. I don't want MRSA anytime soon.

My experience with Gold's has been very positive. Their personnel have always been courteous and responsive to any concerns I might have had. I would like for them to have 2 or 3 more stair steppers, but I have found other equipment to help me with my cardio is readily available. Gold's helps me make my day a happy day!

Showed up in the morning to check out the gym. Girl at the desk refused to give me any info, said the fitness consultant was not there, and would be back in an hour or two? Huh? After waiting 5 hours to have them call me I called again and was told he was busy and they took my name and number again, hour goes by, still no call. I am grateful, as this gave me the opportunity to read their reviews. A person would be crazy to sign a membership with these crooks. Shame on them!

It was great because they allowed kids other than 10 to work out and do the free weights and all that and then there's a little kids I'd like a daycare and do my quest for the kids and great quality and whenever the machines aren't working they hurting put a sign on and then they fix it as soon as possible so I think it's a great place to go work out and it's really affordable

Okay gym. Falls short for me in two major areas. One, group classes. A VERY limited class selection with very few people in attendance for most classes. The ones that are offered are far and few between and only sprinkled throughout the day. Additionally there are very few, usually only one instructor who will lead a particular type of class offered- so you really don't have an option if you want to take a certain class but don't favor an instructor's style. Pro: a new lap pool was recently installed. But two, the other deal breaker for me is that this gym has no heated classes or rooms! This makes warm-up in a town that's freezing half the year a challenge. It's only more frustrating when a class is designed to be heated.. Hot Yoga? If you only want to lift weights or run on a treadmill however, this gym can provide that:)

You can't expect for me to join your gym if I can't even get a price. It's ridiculous that a staff member at the desk can't tell me a price and I have to wait for a "fitness instructor" to do it. You know what that tells me? You give uneven prices to different customers. They're not "fitness instructors," they're salespeople. I'll go to another gym where the prices are on the front door!

Golds has nice clean cardio and weighted equipment, fitness classes access to the pool and sauna included in the price of membership. Free use of racquetball courts. And a cross fit type area with power lifting stations. Friendly staff eager to please. Some of the personal training staff are knowledgeable with qualifying college degrees but it's not required so buyer beware.

Nice gym, I must say the gym's staffs and equipment is not bad as in google review, the front desk always friendly, also gym got a large swimming pool, always have someone clean the whole gym at night, I have started do my personal training with Mark this month. Mark is a really nice and helpful trainer, if you wanna do personal training, just find Mark, you won't be disappointed. Honestly, I have a good experience here

I am not impressed with this gym at all as Soon as my contract is over I will be going to a new gym. If you ever need to freeze you account with this gym save yourself some time and dont do it. They will still take your money even though you arnt going.

This gym is huge but half of the machines are machines that no one uses. I have been a member of many gyms across the country and this gym is missing several pieces of equipment that you would normally see at any other gyms. They only have a couple benches, only 1 leg press and only 1 squat rack and it would be nice if they got more. The trainers don't even look fit and take their clients through very basic and weird exercises. It seems like they go through trainers every month and they'll take anyone on as a trainer. The staff is friendly but sometimes you have to wait to check in because no one is up front whereas at other gyms you can scan your own card and check yourself in. The bathrooms are usually clean but they run out of toilet paper a lot and the hand sanitizer machines are always out.

The gym is just okay. There's no privacy areas or even just open areas to do your own circuit. The way the gym is set up isn't ideal. It's basically all one big room. After coming from Pocatello's Gold's Gym, I was hoping for more. The staff is nice but I won't be joining.

I joined Gold's Gym at the end of October 2015. They have over charged me and double billed me every month since I have been a member. Staff is very friendly, equipment is nice, but their billing practices are worthless. Canceling my contract and moving onto another gym. They have made me accrue two overdraft fees on my bank account now in two months. Beware.

Golds is awful. They don’t care about their customers. After my contract they needed a “30” notice for me to cancel once I went month to month. And then I got charged almost twice what I was paying per month for my last payment. The absolute worst and not a place I will go back to or recommend to anyone.

My bf and I started going about two weeks ago, and we're loving it. I love the yoga classes, plus they offer a ton of other classes (no extra fee for any of them). The cardio machines let you log in and track your workouts! I've never had to fight for a cardio machine. You get two free pt sessions with your membership, which my bf plans to do regularly while I'm in yoga. Of all the gyms in the area, Gold's is by far the best! The only drawback is that their online platforms are non-functional or aren't updated regularly. I got an email from their pt company with a sign in, but the website doesn't work. There is no IF location on the Gold's Gym corporate website, though they've been open for a year. And the class schedule on their facebook page only lists a few of the classes that they have available.
