Thus gym is great. I do an amazing class first in the morning- Bootcamp. Used to be a small gym, now is Corporate and our class that is one of the most profitable class in this gym at University, Corporate wants to change us and put a new class in the middle. We pay a lot for this class since 3 years ago, it is nor fair. Corporate and Managers should review first before... a lot of people is not happy.

Absolutely terrible customer service. If I could rate this a zero star I would. Every person will tell you something different. I had my kids there when I signed up and signed up with the kid zone, there seemed to be no issues. Then THE SAME day I called when I got home to ask about the kid zone and was now informed that my daughter was way to small to even go in and I was told I could have my account canceled. I was never told I had to come in or send anything in. Now, Two months later I find out I am STILL being charged all these fees and payments when my account is supposed to be canceled. When I called to confront this issue, the "district Manager" was very rude and was telling me there was nothing he can do but to still bill me for the next month. I have not even gone in to the gym ONCE since I was told by the women on the phone that she would have my account canceled. Had I been actually TOLD over the phone that I needed to come in within the three day grace period to sign a paper, I would have done so. This has been the absolute worst experience I have EVER had with a company. Such a shame.

If you’re new or a veteran this is the place to be. Check peak times, if you have a routine it can be interrupted by gym traffic and stop your gainz.

I've canceled my membership twice now because I moved and still got sent to collections for not continuing to pay them. They are incompetent and extremely rude over the phone insisting that I never came in to cancel and that I'll need to physically come in to cancel my membership yet again.

It can get really busy in the afternoon hours (especially Mondays & Tuesdays), but other than that, the gym is excellent. It offers all the weight equipment and cardio equipment and classes you could ever want. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. The trainers are experienced and professional. Its clean and maintained well. Its not an upscale, expensive fru-fru type gym. Its an affordable, functional, neighborhood exercise gym.

I have been to many gyms in my life and Crunch is the best by far! From the time you enter the doors until the time you leave, you feel like you belong there. The Staff and Management are very friendly and helpful! They have a great non-judgmental attitude that they pass on to all of their members. Therefore, everyone from 18-85 feel very comfortable there. There is also great equipment. Something for the novice to the very serious workout person to get a great workout. The facility is always clean and they have certified trainers that can help you plan a workout strategy. And, all of this for less than $10 per month. Come on, you can't buy a coffee at starbucks for that. They also have a variety of classes available , again, from the novice to the more seasoned athlete. I know that I sound like I was paid to write this review, but I promise that I was not. I am a 62 year old man that loves to train and get a good value. And, it's only 11/2 miles from my house. I feel very fortunate to have this kind of facility at this price so near my home. That way, I have no excuses for not going there on a very regular basis. Also, did I mention that they have very extensive hours for people that work early or late. As you can see, I can't say enough great things about this facility. Dwight Garris

Couldn't have asked for a better experience with a gym! Great price, amazing staff and an all around fun environment. Definitely missing out if you're a member at any other gym. The negative reviews just go to show how much people don't pay attention and sign things without reading. The staff was very clear with everything including cancellation notice and annual fee when I joined. Go in and see for yourself. If you have a question, ASK! They're happy to help and explain everything correctly!

If only It was an option I would have given this review absolutely ZERO stars. I had accidentally left my headphones home and was left to hear these lifters talk about what steroids would make your penis shrink and which are passable on drug test. They say no judgment but when you’re being watched clearly through the mirror you kinda feel judged. The majority of management talks about their customers when they’re not looking behind their backs and on top of all that it’s very unsanitary no one seems to clean after themselves and It took me nearly 10 minuets to find a sanitary wipe. All that being said, in sort I would have to say I don’t plan on coming back to Crunch unless anyone of these issues are addressed.

Simple and logical requests to improve the equipment layout have been repeatedly ignored. Management focuses on new business and ignores the legitimate requests of long standing members. I'd recommend another gym that focuses on accommodating members instead of a gym that takes your monthly dues and ignores the members request once you sign the contract.

This is one of the best gyms I have joined. They offer classes with a membership. They offer free 1 day passes for those who want to try it. They offer personal training for a fee. They also have 2 stand up tanning beds and a hydro massage bed for those tired muscles

Normally I'm forced to work out in the Bradenton location but I was able to get into this location one afternoon. Despite it being crowded in the machines being too close together that you can't even squeeze between them it's not a bad spot. The swan area is decent enough and they actually have a couple variations like a safety squat bar as well as a log press for strongman stuff then I'm surprised that commercial health club like crunch would have. The staff is decent enough I guess most of them are either rapey looking guys or bimbo looking women but that's about all the type of people who actually want to work at a Health Club like this. I will get into too much detail about all that but just know the health club is decent enough and if you can get over the price to get in the door your monthly payment won't be all that bad. The places okay but if there were any real gyms in the area we wouldn't be here.

Totally disappointed! Joined last year and the times that I visited the gym was packed and hardly any machines were available. As a senior citizen I'm limited to the types of equipment I can physically use and that it was virtually impossible to use them because of all the people at the facility. I originally went to the facility to cancel my membership several months after joining and hardly visiting the facility. I mistakenly listened to the gym rep and froze my membership for six months with the understanding that I could merely cancel it at the end of that time. Well, here it is six months later and I opt to cancel only to find out that I have to pay this month and my notice only served as a 60 day written notice and I'd also have to pay those months AS WELL as the annual fee which equals about 4 additional months. So....I used this facility for less than a few weeks but ended up paying them as if I was there benefitting from their services. It's a total rip off and I'm very disappointed that senior citizens get ripped off in this manner. Crunch is a great term to mean rip off. Rather than argue endlessly about their policies I paid the ransom!

Look somewhere else. These people will trick you into joining and when you want to cancel they won't let you. You have to go onsite. So I went onsite and still billing me. Never was I informed I had to be a member for 90 days, a friend was with me and she will confirm. I called again to cancel, said I am not coming down to gym again to do so and Daniel the mgr. had the nerve to call me honey. They are rude and incompetent.

Nice people that work there. The windows in front of the elliptical machines needs a shade. For those of us trying to prevent skin cancer, it is very necessary to completely block the rays. The windows have a slight tint, but more is needed to protect your clients.

I like this gym a lot. I can always get the equipment I want and the staff are friendly. However, I think it deserves a one-star review because the payment system is terrible. I've tried to save my billing info and set up automatic payments twice now, and their system hasn't saved my info. I've so far ended up being billed 45$ in late fees on a 10$/month membership.

Filthiest gym i've ever been to. They NEVER clean the bathrooms. There's poop in the toilets that i've seen for at least 3 weeks. I've never seen them clean the machines with a wet cloth. The machines smell of old sweat and the management dont seem to care. The showers are dirty everywhere. It puzzles me why they would mistreat a new gym like that. I used to be a member at You Fit and they cleaned the machines all the time, I am definitely going to go back.

Very friendly and well-trained staff. Can sometimes be very crowded and constantly filled with body builders. Noticed many members neglecting to wipe down machinery. All equipment is modern and ready to be used. The classes are frequent and very good, but my personal trainer seemed unreliable and a little unprofessional. I went from Shapes to You Fit to Crunch. Shapes got extremely expensive, and You Fit did not have classes like Shapes. Crunch fits the bill for me perfectly. The staff has always been friendly. The wave goodbye as I leave each time. The place is clean. And there is more equipment than both Shapes and You Fit. My favorite is my Zumba class on Thursdays and Fridays. Julianna, the main instructor, is a doll. She is friendly and very energetic. I am so glad I joined this amazing gym!

They kept trying to charge my business account even though I wasn’t attending but couldn’t, so they sent $101 bill to collections! Now I’m fighting a collection from these people. Bad business. Switched over from a different gym because of the price. $10/month is perfect for me. There's also a yearly fee ($45 in October). They have a vast array of equipment, however it does get a little crazy during heavy usage times (after 5 PM weekdays).

First of all, the price is good for 10$ yes. But 1) don’t go at peak hours or your machine will be used. 2) the employees do not let you know about hidden fees. (Even if you specifically ask “ is this all that will be taken from my bank account, and nothing else in a couple months”) They will say nothing else will be taken from your bank account. But it still will. I get this is how the company makes $$$. And it’s on a paper you sign And most customers don’t ask about it. So they slip it in the fine print. Which is fine until the customer verbally asks if extra fees come out. Then they say no... bull. Be professional and say yes. And LASTLY.... There is a guy up front that when attractive females walked by he looked at his friends and raised his eyebrows, like a look that’s “ooooo lala” ... keep your facial expressions to yourself with your friends. At least have the respect to go behind closed doors, don’t look at each other and make expressions. I’m sure cameras could be pulled to see this. I don’t know if this happens all the time, but I do know i witnessed it happen once. Cheesy and creepy. Needless to say, my membership has ended. The other reviews from Taylor and Anita are correct.

I have moved every two years for the last 25 years and I have always had a gym membership that I use at least 4 times a week. This is a great gym and for $10 a month I find it ridiculous that anyone has the gull to complain. Zero complaints about the staff, or the members, and the weights are always where they belong.

This is a reasonably priced gym that does a good job of balancing cardio and lifting needs. While I personally haven't participated, there are a number of classes spanning yoga and Pilates in addition to other high intensity workouts. They have tanning beds and a child care center if needed. The staff is generally friendly and you don't get the high pressure sales you get at some gyms. For $25ish you also get the option of going to any gyms in the "Crunch" network. All and all, the best all purpose fitness facility around.

I am not gonna lie I enjoyed this gym. I am only visiting but if I lived here there is a good chance it would be my regular gym. It is definitely a great gym for those who are in to and somewhat serious about lifting that's for sure. The staff all seem nice. Only things that annoyed me was the the plates are all over the place and a mess. People just leaving plates on bars and not always wiping down benches after they use them. It did get busy around peak times but what gym doesn't? I will definitely come back upon my next visit.

BEWARE!!! False Advertising!!! It is NOT $10 per month here! If your New Years Resolution is to try a gym membership and you think $10 isn't a big loss in case you don't stick with it, WRONG! You're looking at a minimum of about $70 if you join and quit in one month!!! $10 sign-up fee, $10 monthly fee, $30 yearly fee and $20 for the additional 2 months they charge if you quit. If you are considering this gym over a nicer, more expensive one, take a good look at the contract: Not only do they charge a sign-up fee and yearly fee, but if you need to cancel, they charge you two more months and any fees that fall in that time frame, which just so happens to be the yearly fee, again! I canceled my membership two months ago because I lost my job and had to move and have been charged over an additional $50 since! So while it may sound like a good deal, it may be worth going to that bigger gym down the street that has way more amenities even if it is a few dollars more per month because in the end, you are NOT paying $10 per month at this one!

We were there at 10am on a Sunday and the noise level was intense. We asked questions but it was very difficult to hear. The gentleman explaining the memberships was courteous but vague. We thought we were getting a couples membership for $24/ month, but after signed and paying we were handed 1 entry card. My wife would have to be a guest and she could not attend without me being present. We decided to withdraw get our credit card payment back and think about it. The 2 people helping us were helpful but weren't able or capable of refunding and giving us a credit. We were told someone else from "corporate"would have to make that call and for us to look for a refund in a few days. For a large company like this, why don't they have a simply membership handout since there are 3 different membership levels and fees, each with different privileges. We'll probably come back but only after we've figured out the membership levels and after we verify our refund.

I can't begin to describe how rude the staff here was. I went in to cancel my membership and repeatedly was criticized about my type of workout and why I was canceling. First of all, it is none of their business my personal reasons for leaving and, second, I don't need someone bashing my workout plan. I will never go back again.
