I am giving 4 stars because the facility is clean, great gym equipment, and extras for use by members. The membership fee is reasonable as well. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I signed up for a personal trainer, Jolie, was able to make 2 appointments (missed others due to scheduling conflicts between us both). I was also going through a divorce, which messed me up mentally which in turned caused me to miss a lot of gym time, not to mention personal training time. Since it was a 3 month program and I didn't want to take away from Jolie, as she is a great person and awesome trainer, I allowed the 136.00 be taken out until end of agreement. Little did I know because I didn't read the fine print nor was I verbally told it was an open ended agreement, Crunch Fitness ended up taking 1360.00 out of my account. I called to ask and was told "Sorry, our policy doesn't allow us to refund money especially when you signed up for an open ended contract". I am cancelling my membership and will be going to another gym. I will also like to warn everyone, unless you pay the entire cost upfront for a personal trainer, you will continue to be charged until you cancel it yourself. As a 100% disbaled veteran, I will spread the word amongst my community to be aware. This is not a hit on Jolie, she is an amazing person and Trainer. This is not a hit on the gym either, it is an awesome gym, this is a hit at company policy and company return policy.

Very nice facility- Staff are great. Gym is terribly overcrowded. I've come for months in the morning, mid morning, noon, and after 7. Doesn't matter. Parking is horrible. What most bothers me about this gym is they have crammed something in every inch and then have the nerve to host classes on the TINY turf. They have that huge class room in the back and nope, they need to use the turf. I know what you're going to say so please save it. Put turf in your back room if you want to do your whatever classes. The turf is way too small as it is (not even sprint-worthy) and some of us rely on that turf being available. I have been a fitness junkie for many years until I moved here and you're the only place around with platforms so I'm stuck. Now I can barely drag myself there 2-3 times a week because it's a demotivating experience. Crowds, parking, people not sweating, and selfie-addicts. Oh, and stop telling people to come outside of peak hours. People work. They have lives, schedules, and families and it's insulting to insinuate they have control over the small time they carve out for themselves to train. For the love of all that is holy and sweaty, please someone open a true lifting/conditioning gym in this area. Until then, I'll continue to eat donuts and struggle to hit 60% of former numbers because of this hot mess. Hey, but it's cheap. Did I mention the staff are friendly? I needed to end on a positive note so there.

One of the best gyms in Hillsborough county. Finally a gym with more than one squat rack! and good music! The amount of equipment and variety is amazing. Come to this gym, you won't be disappointed.

Being brand new to the area, I was shocked that there are so few gyms. I was referred to Crunch by my HOA mgr. I arrived to find a ridiculously crowded, big box style rec room, with nowhere to lift. First workout, I had to share a bench with 3 guys. Basically, it wasn't a workout, unless you count unloading plates after every set a workout. Second visit, I just stood at the check-in area, surveyed the zoo, then left. I came at various times throughout the week, hoping for a lull that I could fit in. I think only the early morning hours can afford that. Meaning, I'm paying for full access to a place I can only visit when it's the literal crack of dawn to get work in. This gym is for those that like hanging out in a gym, but aren't really concerned with actual strength training. It's sad, because there's an utter void in Riverview for a solid gym.

Brought my neighbor in to try and get him to join, current YMCA member, and because he had gone to the gym prior, when it had just opened, they would not let him in and forced me to pay $15 for a day pass. He had gone in the morning previously but wanted to see what it was like at 5:30 on a weekday to see if he could get his work out in without tripping over folks. Regardless the front desk guy Sean was on a power trip and wouldn’t let him in ultimately costing them 3 memberships for himself, wife and son. At a $10 a month gym maybe back off the power trips and look at the big picture. Nice job Sean, F- customer service your company should be proud. It’s not about the $15 at all it’s about the customer experience and narrow minded Sean.

Great equipment, Clean and staff is great. Sanja & Mario are awesome coaches! The small group Hitt classes are awesome. MINOR Downfalls are small locker room, small sauna, not enough Hitt classes and no Hitt classes on Fridays. Parking is a nightmare. Overall a great gym.

Don’t go there on Monday - Friday there will be no machines for you the best best is come in the morning. If you are not a member but a guest staff will not treat you with respect. This place is a fashion show/ gun show

This location is by far the best one in the area. As I'm typing this on a Sunday morning, several staff members are actively keeping this place clean. All the barbells and machines are in great working order as well. Please keep the barbells oiled and rust-free and I'll stay a member for a while.

It's an alright gym. Unfortunately the only way this gym can get better is if they build another location. There are way too many people at this gym. Additionally, this gym is designed differently than other Crunch gyms, with the squat racks and cardio area being in separate areas. They don't have ab mats or elastic bands like the other Crunch gyms. The staff are okay, some have an attitude and talk down to you, but others are nice. Just like any gym. Parking is a pain. You're better off parking by Panera Bread or in the Dairy Queen parking lot. Avoid this gym in its entirety between 5 PM and 7 PM on Monday through Thursday and between 9 AM and 11 AM on Saturday.

The classes are AMAZING. Anett is my FAVORITE she teach morning classes. The front desk is AWESOME and very helpful with what ever you need. I love the lay of the gym. Machine are easy to use. I also like that it's VERY CLEAN.

Good gym. Only big gym in the area so location is great. Equipment is ok. Benches are bolted down, cable stations stick, a few key pieces missing (no barbell shoulder press, shrug machine, etc). Not bad at all though. Clientele can be frustrating, not many people with gym ettiquette. Staff is great, gym seems clean.

Told me I could cancel my contract the end of time but this wasn't true. I had an illness and could not work out so I went in to cancel my contract and they told me it would be additional $150 to cancel my contract.

This franchise apparently is only for Florida residence. If you are from out of state, you will have to pay for the guest fee which is $10 per person. My boyfriend and I both went with our friends (who are Florida residents and attend this gym) and even though we went online for a guest pass for the day, the gentleman at the front desk said we couldn’t use the gym unless a guest fee was paid which I thought was ridiculous considering we just used crunch in South Carolina earlier in the week (also with our friend who lives locally). I suggest that if guests from out of state cant use this particular franchise, let us know online so we can just attend another gym altogether. Luckily It wasn’t crowded and our friends already had pre workout so we ended up paying and use the gym regardless.

this is a great gym and even better for the price. I have been to a lot of gyms in the area and this one is my favorite!! The gym, locker rooms and the equipment are super clean, the front staff is wonderful, and the trainers are amazing (Jolie is my favorite).

They have lots of equipment, all different kinds, men & women's saunas, weights and many different machines for your triceps, biceps, etc. If your questioning whether you should give it a try, I highly recommend it. Was very happy to go to Riverview location, till i saw the crowds, dont like waiting on every piece of equipment. Considering going back to Bloomingdale location till it dies down a bit...oh and bring in a heavy tire to flip if possible

UPDATE: Crunch definitely underestimated the number of people living in Riverview and surrounding area that would come to their facility. Early mornings, although still a bit busy, seems to be the best time to come. Overall, it is a great facility. There is plenty of equipment, the facility is very clean (big plus), and the staff is lively and friendly. Also, the music is pretty good, so even when I forget my headphones, it's no big deal at all. Only one suggestion: we need MIRRORS IN the WOMEN'S CHANGING ROOMS! :)

Horrible management!!! They are ripping people off and thieves, they continue to charge the account after i told them i cannot go there due to having a small baby. I never used the gum once since I signed up. They never informed me of the 3 months cancellation policy at the time of signing up which is fraudulant. The manager is nasty and i demanded to speak to the owner who never responded. I will report to BBB (better business bureau). They deserve negative stars if it was available.

I really don't know how this gym doesn't have a 5 star rating. Everything about this place is on point. It's clean, customer service is top notch, equipment is amazing. Always enough equipment no matter how busy it is. The locker room and sauna are spotless. Best gym I've ever been a neverm if and I'm a total gym rat.

My wife and I each have a membership. Both are attached to our credit card. I was told it would not be a problem adding my daughter if she likes it. I tried to add her and they want us to use my checking account. With all of the hacking going on today it is dumb of someone to do. When I asked for a corporate number, they refused to give it to me. So I asked for an email to the owner, they refused also. I have no way to file a complaint. If I owned a franchise I would want to know when customers are unhappy about something but the GM of riverview feels they dont need to know. Craig Chaykin

This location is placing fliers all over windshields of vehicles of folks working out across the street at Anytime Fitness, as well as all other cars that park in the entire plaza. These fliers are all being thrown on the ground & is costing the management at Summmerfield Crossings, to incur expense of picking up these "cards" from all over the parking lot. Crunch shows NO CLASS trying to steal customers from their competitor with no regard to littering the community in which they live... EDITED: 11/5/18 The large index cards are continuing to be placed on vehicles throughout our entire parking lot. I spoke with the manager this morning on the phone who was apologetic. He claims "Crunch Fitness" has no intention littering the community & causing others to incur expenses picking up hundreds of these discarded cards. We have been paying a person everyday to pickup these cards at 5:30 am every morning before cars fill the lot. Once it rains, the cards stick to pavement almost impossible to remove. Crunch Fitness, PLEASE cease & desist with your outdated and ineffective marketing ploy. Utilize advertising online & saturate your area with digital advertising. It will yield better results, costs less and most importantly will eliminate the mass littering .

Place is always packed after 830pm. No childcare. The timer knob in the mens suans has been missing 3 weeks after opening and it stillsuasnt been replaced. The cleaning of the gym isn't really kept up with and it shows. Good luck cancelling. Cancel anytime but as soon as you join you will owe 4x monthly dues and 1x annual fee. Yes it's in the fine print but their advertisement is more of a bait and switch.

Nice Crunch! I've visited quite a few from work travels, and this is as good as Crunches get. I have zero complaints after my single visit here. - Lots of machines, but not over-packed. - Spacious. - Very friendly staff members. - Clean. Both the gym and bathroom. - Positive, lively vibe even late in the evening. - Appropriate hours (many Crunches close too early). - Big parking lot, albeit very full. - Next door to B-Dubs so you can reward your good workout ;-)

Best gym I’ve ever signed up for! Amazing variety of weights, machines, equipments. Staff is very friendly. No matter what time I come the gym is always clean. For $10/month membership fee you just can’t beat it. I know for a higher price they offer classes, personal training, sauna, tanning as well. Love Crunch!

Management is rude. They will make you pay for 4 months and the yearly fee eventhough it says you only have to have 90 to cancel your membership. They forged my signature on a document stating that I agreed to pay for the 4th month when I tried to cancel my membership at the 90 day mark.

Great place, just signed up and felt great except for a couple of nuckle heads next to me were trying to show off and started dropping their heavy dumbells after each set while i was trying to focus on my workout as well as others were, if you can't put it doen quietly you shouldnt pick it up but other than that it went great.

Overcrowded, everything is just so nasty and sweaty all the time. Not sufficient towel dispersers to wipe down machines, plus the existing towels are just the brown paper towels, limited absorbtion and non desinfecting. Very disapointing
