Online said Try Us For Free, I walk in I said hello this is my first time here and I will love to try this gym, the person at the front desk said OK the fee is $12.00 ( there was no hello, welcome, tour, classes etc NOTHING) so where is the try us free... the gym appearance was not impressive, the staff needs training on customer service.

I love Powerhouse gym. It's great wether you like to workout with free weights or machines. They have a great variety of equipment, and a great deal of space. They got you covered if you just want to do cardio too. Their equipment seems well maintained, if not new. They offer group classes, and personal training too. Their personal trainers are friendly and knowledgeable. If you are a woman and don't feel comfortable working out with the rest of us, they have an area exclusively for you. I think it has most of the equipment the general area has, but boys are not allowed. You can get a membership for Seaford, or you can pay a little bit more and include Salisbury, MD, and Ocean City, MD too. Throughout the years I have tried some other gyms in Delmarva (which I won't mention out of respect) but I keep coming back to Powerhouse because you cannot beat them. Hope to see you there (I need a spotter, so don't mind if you offer to spot me.)

An enormous gym with a variety of equipment. They offer group classes, a crossfit-style exercise program, childcare services, and a women's-only gym. It's very clean and the staff are great. Does get crowded at times.

I have only one problem is the main exercise room is not cleaned enough. We have large classes, and the dust and dirt is bad. I would live for the owners to have the room cleaned on a regular basis. Ughh.

Everyone, when you sign the contract for the "one year" it's only a year if you give them a 30 day notice on the 11th month. You will continue to pay for membership until you turn in a 30 day notice. Get me once, shame on you, Get me twice, shame on me. Never again.

Everyone at Piwerhouse is super friendly! The equipment is always in working order and clean. The tanning rooms are also very clean and neat although every once in s while there are no towels. The prices are excellent fir the services!

Great place, HATE going haha but it is nice. Most of the employees are great, very informative. I was not happy with the price reduction that I was not given. I asked when I signed up if they were going to have the discounted rate again, was told no, but in less that 30 days it was reduced. I was also misinformed about some of the amenities that was included in my rate. They are updating, When they get done it should be very nice!

The staff is really really nice but the equipment is mostly old worn out junk. It’s not maintained. Cushions ripped, TVs broken, grips pulled loose. Planet Fitness is all brand new equipment. Why go to Powerhouse!? UPDATE - I appreciate management’s comments. Yes you did buy 10 new machines in a gym with probably over 100 machines so you did something and I appreciate that. There’s much more needed. Some machines are in such condition that they really shouldn’t be used. Ripped and torn cushions let perspiration and germs down into the padding underneath and can’t be cleaned. It’s gross to say the least. You are putting a shiny new sign out in front of the gym while ignoring customer health. Not cool. I found Body and Soul Fitness and Spa just down the street and will be going there.

i been going to this gym since july 16 i have 2 memberships 1 in cambridge maryland and another in seaford de which are 20 min from eachother cause of work schedule i got off work went to the gym 11:35 pm which they use to be open 24 hrs they change it until 12:30am i wanted get water the guy at the register told me he can't give to me :) cuz he closed down like i understand if i got a shake or preworkout maybe he cleaned because he has hour left but water really i don't want drink the tap water cuz it smells i can't so i just smiled never going back to the place horrible service. can't buy water after 11:35 lol bring your own water if ur going after 11:35pm

I was very disappointed when I pulled up and the building was dark. When I get home I checked the website and it was confusing, one spot said hours 430am- 1230am, then in another sports it said staffed 24/7. I work both swing and grave shift when the gym was open 24/7 it was very convenient.

I have worked out at Powerhouse in Seaford for over 4 years. This is by far the best gym in Seaford and the surrounding area - and it's not even close. The size of the gym, the variety of equipment, the friendly staff, the attention to cleaning and maintenance, make this a great place for everyone from beginners to experienced body-builders and athletes. Mornings are mostly for the older crowd and afternoons and evenings are more for the younger set, as in most gyms, however everyone gets along and respects each other. Gym etiquette is very much respected here. That's important. Safe place to work out and outstanding variety of equipment and weights make it the best.

Switched here after a year long hiatus from the gym(came from planet fitness..)and decided to get a trainer due to health issues—best decision I have made for my health in a long time. It’s only been a month but he’s fantastic, knowledgeable, and works to keep things interesting. I’d definitely recommend anyone go here for training. The prices are beyond reasonable for the quality of training you receive. The women’s gym has been nice for me while I get acclimated to the new things I’m learning when I don’t have my training sessions, but there’s only so much you can do in there before you outgrow it. Again, an awesome feature for someone who’s a little intimidated by the level most of the members of this gym see to be at. Also, tried the juice bar for the first time today and i am in love.

Power house is clean, but the contracts are built to screw you in the long run. The people are less than friendly most days and in the evenings you can't find anyone for assistance. The gym even with the changes still does not have enough equipment on the busy days. Child care is to small and lacks structure.

Surprised there are so many shining reviews... they changed the name but did they change the lousy service? If I could give no stars I would. I was reading why Powerhouse gyms are disappearing, maybe all you people giving wonderful reviews should look into it? New name does not make bad business practices go away.

Desperate establishment. After being a loyal member for a long time, my husband wanted to stop using this location. The reasons for him not wanting to go are because of conflicts with other gym members. After calling the gym, and explaining his uncomfortable situation, they were not at all understanding. They refused his cancelation. He continued to pay the monthly fee even though he avoided using the gym. Never went. Power house is now trying to take him to court. One man. Desperate much? Do not sign a contract with these people, they are ruthless and heartless.
