I would have given this place more but they haven't even bothered calling my best friend back so I can go for my second day and her first. Is it because I haven't decided whether or not to get a membership? They haven't called to see when I would like to schedule my next appointment

Pretty decent workout, but you would think they would handle military and family members pcs a bit more smoothly. My husband had orders to pcs to korea with dependent. Manager denies it because my name isnt on it. To top it off once I gave the manager other paperwork, I had to wait a full week to get a reply. As days were waisted and dragged. Once I got a reply it was accepted, I didnt get any confirmation it was cancelled. About two weeks later I got charged. I had to call my bank. Manager states they did cancelled and that they returned the money. My bank noticed the money was manually taken. I was hoping to come back to the gym after korea. This entire issue was a horrible experience. I am deft not coming back.

This a great work out that's FUN and keeps you coming back for more. Every class is different so you don't get bored at all. The 'warm up' will force you to push yourself and after you make it through that, the fun begins ! Most of the coaches are great, some are definitely more passionate then others, but the class is what you make it ! They have monthly challenges, scavenger hunts stuff like that, which is fun. Gives you an opportunity to connect with other members outside of class. I've met a great group of people here.

Seriously so much fun! I felt so good after class! I love the instructors but the owner is rude and that is why I quit Ilovekickboxing. And a lot of the amazing staff left. Turn over rate was too much and workout became less consistent

Although I am a brand new member and only gone to two classes, it’s a huge deal that I feel comfortable here. I’ve struggled with my weight since puberty and have a goal of about 80 pounds to lose. Since I do battle with body image and anxiety surrounding it, feeling welcome and not judged in a fitness setting is rare. Elaine and David welcomed me with open arms, understanding, and one-on-one attention during my trial class and I immediately knew I had found the home base for my fitness and weight loss journey. I couldn’t go up and down stairs today but it was the BEST soreness I’ve ever experienced! I know it can seem pricey, but for what you get with the attention, motivation, and community, it really is priceless. Thank you, ILKB! I can’t wait to go through this journey with you!

ILKB has been the best thing to happen to me during my fitness journey! The facility is neat and clean. The instructors are so motivating. And I LOVE DJ night!! It's a great way to change up the workouts and spice things up a bit when a DJ is jammin' out with you, as you punch a bag! This is actually a membership that I've kept for over 6 months now! Strongly recommended for all fitness levels!

ILKB is literally a life saver. I go into every class half terrified for my body and end the class feeling good as new. The first 15 minutes are the hardest but punching that bag makes everything worth it. The instructors are also the most down to earth people you will ever meet. Seriously. Also, I have lost one pant size in a month !

Did the trial for ilovekickboxing and it is amazing so amazing I got a membership!! The workouts are amazing, intense but fun, the staff is super friendly, gym and locker room area is very clean and nicely kept! You can feel the enthusiasm the staff feels for their work and it shows in their classes and interactions with the members or newbies!! I totally recommend ilovekickboxing to anyone looking for a good fun workout with good vibes!

Love the instructors and the classes are fun, but the owners of the company suck and that overrides everything else for me. The owners overwork the instructors, you can tell they are burned out, and there is a lot of staff turnover. The company is not focused on retention, they are focused on getting new members and making more money. It is way overpriced for what you get, and they force you into a contract to continue with the classes. Class has been canceled before because they only scheduled one instructor and she had an emergency to attend to and they had no backups scheduled. They directly blamed the instructor for not showing up when she had to take her dog to an emergency vet, instead of the company claiming responsibility and having management come in and teach a class... that is what a good business owner would do. Now I am stuck paying $140/ month for this gym until next February and I feel totally ripped off and disappointed. Also there is no childcare provided. Save your money and look elsewhere.

ILKB creates a workout that actually makes you want to return. I look forward to attending classes, and feel really accomplished after completion! The trainers are supportive and the whole atmosphere is non-judgmental. Definitely a great find.

I love ilovekickboxing!!! After I took my first class, I was hooked and became a member. The trainers are amazing, supportive and they motivate you to push yourself in each class. I also like that the instructors make an effort to correct your form and continuously make you better at kick boxing. I have so much excitement coming here, and I can't wait to get out of work so I could come here and get an amazing workout in. I feel stronger already, and ILKB is a great stress reliever for me. I also have lost close to 30 pounds in 4 months. I recommend everyone to come here to get a new experience to kickboxing!

Loved the workout but not worth the price! No options that worked for my needs and they don't seem concerned about it. If they offered a good value option, I'd definitely sign up -- but not worth the absurd prices they are charging. I'm driving across town to workout in a much nicer gym, with childcare, healthy cafe, flexible options for classes, indoor/outdoor pool, spa and half the price!

My first session was fantastic, so fantastic that I wanted to join for 1 year. I asked about the cancellation policy as I was applying to jobs all over the country and couldn’t say I would be in CS for the year. I was told no problem – if you move and there’s a location, you can join it. If there’s not one within 25 miles, then you can cancel, just provide a bill with the new address. I joined. I asked for a copy of my contract and was told by Jena she wasn’t sure how or if they could do that – WHAT? – but I felt good about what I was doing, they’re very supportive (when you go), and it’s a fun time. Now I’m trying to cancel. I moved back to the family home in NC, called the studio to find out how to cancel (because there was no contract to reference), and given the manager’s email. I sent my email with a copy of my NC health insurance, only valid in NC, and am being told that’s unacceptable. I have to pay a cancellation fee ($195) and another month’s fees ($125). I finally got a copy of my contract which doesn’t say this at all. I was told there is no cancellation policy. This is untrue – it’s clause 12 of my contract. There is no cancellation fee; that’s part of the new contract. There is no list of what ILKB will accept as proof of moving. The manager will only accept a lease or USPS permanent change of address. I can’t change an address that has never been changed and I can’t provide a lease for the family home I will manage. I gave them something I could use at the DMV to get a NC driver’s license. I have upheld my end of the contract – clause 12 states if you permanently move away 25+ miles from your location and there is not a location within 25+ miles from your new address, then your contract will be cancelled. This is NOT the case. ILKB does not honor their contracts. In fact, they have made me out to be the enemy, sending me offensive emails where I do not want to think they are accusing me of shady actions but that is the inference. I feel bullied, taken advantage of, and robbed. I was upfront from the start about not being sure if I could stay the entire year and was told then just provide a bill with your new address. Not once did the instructors say it may be better for you to do a class package until you know for sure. I have asked one instructor for some stretching tips, which I guess she was unable to answer as she promptly got on her phone and ignored me IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION. Did she check on me at all during that class – NO. FYI, that person is a personal trainer. Some instructors are great and really look after your well-being as this can be a dangerous sport. Others are too busy socializing amongst themselves and could care less what you are/aren’t doing (this is the perception). Your first class is the only class you have one-on-one instruction after that you are on your own. I recommend talking to the head instructor before class to let them know you are new, so they will (maybe) keep an eye on you. There is a high rate of staff turnover and no class schedule with instructors listed to prevent favoritism. In the short time I was there, 4-5 months, I’m aware of at least 4 people leaving. The funny part is since I’ve put in notice to cancel and we try to figure this out, I have been blocked from the FB group, sent threatening emails, and being forced to abide by outside the “4 corners” of my contract. The truly sad part is I loved ILKB, recommended it to all kinds of people near and far, and after this experience, I will NEVER recommend ILKB. I will never feel comfortable in a place where I have been bullied, lied to, and threatened. There is an incentive (free gloves) for members to leave positive reviews.

I bought the trial after seeing it with the announcement they were opening in June on Facebook. I have been going since the first week they opened, the energy is high, the workout is fantastic, and the friends I have made during my 35 pound weight loss journey are priceless! The trainers are motivating, and they care! Fantastic atmosphere!

Good instructors, although they constantly change and good atmosphere BUT...the membership cost and renewal sucks! I was a member for a full year and then was told I had to sign a new contract when my membership expired. I told them I was in the military and didn't want to renew for an extended period because there wasn't a studio in the area I was moving to in a couple of months. They told me I could still renew and just provide my mailing address change form to cancel my membership BUT here's the catch...my only options were to buy a pass for 35 classes for $739 or sign up for a 7 month membership at $139 per month, instead of the $106 per month I had been paying for the last year. They claimed since they knew I was moving I had to sign up for the higher rate 7 month membership instead of the lower rate 12 month membership. I will never get a membership with this studio again. No membership flexibility after a 1yr commitment and no membership flexibility for military families that have to move.

Trainers were great, good workout but as a stereotype of being a gym, this is so true; terrible customer service, you can only write them and can’t talk to a live person, unrealistic rates for members, and no way to cancel even if you’ve done this over a year and are moving. $195.00 cancelation fee, after a month of trying to cancel, I haven’t seen a dime of a refund!!!

Customer service for this gym is horrendous. I was able to transfer to another gym in the Denver area, but was still being charged here, even after I told them various times to cancel my membership at their gym because I did transfer everything correctly. I have been trying to get a refund for those months I was charged, and received no response from anyone. Would not recommend. The management is irresponsible and extremely unprofessional.

Update *********** My original post stays the same but I'm not about trying to take down a business or anything just put out facts with that being said the manager Tony did reach out and offered me free classes and tried to fix the original problem. Although it did not change my mind and I was upset that it took a negative review to "reach out" I know I've seen many owners lash out and I'm sure there had to be some biting of the tongue when you read negative things yet he responded in a professional manner although it was just too late for me. So because of Tony I changed to 4 stars because to me a 5 is a perfect place and well this was not the ideal perfect scenario. Thanks Tony for getting back with me. Original post ***** So I've never stepped foot in this studio but I will gladly explain why the 1 star and why my review. My family is a military family, we just got here from Georgia going on two months and while I was in GA I tried out ilkb there and loved it! Obviously joined it so I was sad to leave but while house hunting here one weekend, I saw a ilkb studio! I was excited to say the least because I actually have a punch card with 20 classes left so I messaged them here asking if I could transfer my classes which they said yes! I also was excited because I thought maybe this is a good way to meet new people since I'm new and all. So strike one was when they told me just have them call us to get your info so I thought uh I have to call them to tell them to call you? Why not just call them? But I was like OK so I messaged ilkb in Columbus, GA and they happily said they would (no surprise there), gave them the number and well a month later the folks in GA have left messages or been told to call back later and still no transfer. I finally told the wonderful folks at ilkb GA thank you and to forget it. Any business who can't take a min to call someone back in reference to a customer who mind you would have signed up after the 20 classes because I love this program, isn't an organization I want to deal with. It's obvious they don't care about the people by their actions or shall I say lack of. I'm glad others have had better experience but as for me I couldn't even get the foot in the door and I was trying to give them my business! I was looking for them, not the other way around. I sure hope the next person in my scenario is treated better.
