I myself have been going to oculate to work out for several years now. They have a very friendly and courteous professional staff and trainers . The equipment is kept up and I've never met anyone who had a complaint . You're always greeted with a smile and a good morning . I work out about 4 days a week and enjoy my time there. If I have a question about any of the equipment or something about myself that I may need help on the trainers are truly awesome. You won't regret the experience.

This is pretty solid gym. It features three, fairly large rooms full of weight lifting equipment, cardio equipment, and wide variety of weightlifting machines. The gym is pretty well maintained and the staff is pretty friendly. The gym could use a few more amenities (pool, team sports, etc.) and can get a little crowded at times (especially in the weight lifting areas), but overall, it's an excellent place to go.

This gym is a waste customer's time and money. My first impression was not good. I walked in, I said "Hi" to the girl at the front desk. She nodded at me and proceeded to stare at me...No, "How can I help you?" "Do you need something?" ..give a girl something!!?!?! So I had to ask how can I sign up...I should have known from there to just turn around and walk away. I wanted to learn how to use a gym to its full potential and was told by the OWNER that a trainer would call me (you get a free session when signing up) low and behold, three weeks later and still no phone call. I have called them twice now and no word from anyone. When I talked with the owner, he stated that they aren't like other gyms, so in other words that means they have no customer service, social skills or cleaning crews... I am not a member anymore and paid over $50 for visiting their gym once.

This is nice private owner gym. Only two locations in Colorado Springs. The equipment is all in great shape and the facility is very clean. The locker room is large with high quality lockers. The showers are private and in great shape. I joined on the month to month plan which I love since I travel a lot and can't always make it to this gym so I'm not trapped in a long term membership. There is also a large free weight area for the serious weight lifters.

So, I am a brand new member that changed from a much more expensive gym to Accolade. At the price point, I didn't expect much, but found that every piece of equipment I used at the other gym was also at Accolade. I have a 12 year old son that was not allowed to work out even under supervision on machine weights or cardio at the old gym. I asked today if he could come work out with me at Accolade (I had seen a younger kid working out with his dad). The answer was of course, he will just need to fill out a waiver. I then asked how much additional it would be to add him to my membership and was shocked to find out that I can bring 1 free quest to every work out! So, to bring my son, it will cost me $0. What an amazing gym and staff. Why spend your money anywhere else!

I've been to several gyms but this one wins by far. Amazing customer service. The staff does frequent walk throughs to ensure there isn't any trash or to organize weights. They welcome you and say bye. Always on time to open. Listen to concerns and take action. I can go on. The layout is perfect. You have 3 yes 3 areas for weights. 2 areas for cardio. Can't do treadmills? Me neither. A trail to Garden of The Gods is right around the corner (you can walk there). It's PERFECT. Don't want lunk alarms? Me neither. Squat racks, smith machines, incline benches, flat benches, 125 lb dumbells, <5lb dumb bells, cables, Free Motions, batteling ropes, TRX, kettle bells, a punching bag... again I can go on. You can go lift as light or heavy as you want with the younger and older and everyone is friendly about it. Studios, classes, tanning, personal training, clean showers with soap, clean restrooms, lots of lockers, plenty of parking, BEAUTIFUL VIEW! Best part is it's priced incredibly right.

This is the best gym I have ever been. I am always greeted by the staff when I walk in to the gym. I get a very powerful workout in with the excellent equipment. However, what really sets this gym apart from any other gym is the dry suana and the tanning beds. Its always great to get that perfect workout in, cruise into the hot suana, jump into an ice cold shower, and then top ot all off with a 10 minute tanning sesh. All of this for $25 dollars a month. That is a supreme deal! I cannot recommend this gym enough!

I recently relocated to the area and joined this gym because of the price, classes, hours, and reviews. Management and staff are friendly and helpful, and I love the equipment they have to offer. I will continue to use this gym and am so glad I found a place I like going. Fellow gym goers don't seem to be concerned with others there working out (I know a lot of people don't like the atmospheres of some gyms -- I haven't picked up any judgey vibes from anyone) and are always friendly about letting you work in sets if you need to. Edit*** been going to the gym for a year now - staff are super friendly and gym equipment is solid. 10/10 would recommend.

I joined Accolade several years ago because it was just a few minutes from my house and have been nothing but happy with my decision. The management has really created a friendly environment for it's members. Accolade provides a large space with a variety of well maintained equipment. Even when the gym is "busy" there's always close parking and enough machines/weights for everyone. The monthly fee is reasonable too!

Meh Good enough gym - great for the price. Wish they had a few machines that they don’t offer. But they do offer tanning and a sauna (which I don’t use). The staff is super nice and I see them walking around checking on equipment etc often so it is good to know they’re on top of things. Wish there was more sense of community ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Decent gym overall, good price, month-to-month membership is nice. Men’s bathroom needs ventilation and a courtesy flush policy. Gym floor needs more barbell stations and less machines. Aerobics room needs to be accessible to members when classes are not in session.

Accolade fitness is a great gym. I personally have been a member for over 6 years and I absolutely love this place. The staff is awesome, always friendly and a pleasure to talk with. The facility has a well balanced variety of equipment. This gym has great environment, many nice, and humble members here. After being a member here for 6 years I have no complaints to list. Some of the negative reviews surprised me but some people are never satisfied. The current management is trustworthy and helpful. I have never had a reason to leave this gym. 5 stars!

Best gym in the Garden of the Gods area. This is a very well ran and well kept gym. The employees are very friendly, well trained and remember to greet each member as they enter and exit the gym. The weight room while small does have everything you need for a full body workout and the plate loaded machines and free weights are well maintained and modern. The main area has plenty of cardio and cable weighted machines as well as another smaller area for squats (in a Smith machine) and free weight exercises. The machines are routinely checked by the staff and broken or unsafe equipment is quickly put out of order and fixed. The locker rooms are small but perfectly acceptable. There are enclosed showers, plenty of lockers and a sauna in each locker room. The toilets and urinals are cleaned regularly and the staff does a wonderful job of keeping the areas nice and tidy. They also offer free tanning, I have never taken them up on the offer but their equipment looks new and very pristine. My only real complaints about this gym are I wish there was a dedicated deadlifting area and a larger area for bodyweight movements and stretching. I also wish they had later hours but it's a local business and that is not expected.

Dear Duane Johnston, I DID love Accolades fitness until I recently ran into some trouble. after starting up my membership with my husband several months ago, I went in to cancel and to my surprise Accolades charged me an additional $25. I called and spoke with Arron who said that not only was he the one that canceled my membership but he refused to refund my $25 charge due to his mistake. I asked him who the manager was, he I formed me it was him. I asked him several times who the owners were and he refused to give me that information. After I told him that I would look online to find out who the owners were, only then did he tell me your name. I then asked him for your contact info and he refused to give it to me or leave a message for you to return my call. I called the south location and left a message there. Three days later I called again and because she knew my name she told me she was instructed from Arron that she could not give you my information to call me back nor would she give me any of your contact information. I am deeply disappointed at the level of disgruntled service I have received from Arron and the rest of the employees. I only ask that you look into the $25 mistake charge so you can see if there is a training opportunity. Thank you

They discriminate against military veterans here: I saw a member(young man) being made fun of today by a female and a male employee after he walked in past the front desk. The female employee turned to male employee and said, "I could just die laughing! O-M-G! Did you see that guy's face that just walked in?! ....". The member they were making fun of is a disabled combat veteran and I went up to him to tell him that these two Accolade Fitness employees were making fun of him. The veteran told me that they always make fun of him when he comes in because he has nerve damage in his face. This whole incident happened today 5/7/16 at around 2:05pm at the Accolade Fitness location off of Arrowswest Drive. The female employee is a petite blonde and the male employee is a young man with slicked back light-brown hair. I'm going to talk to management about this.

I spent a week in Colorado Springs and worked out here while I was away on business. The staff was super nice. The facility was incredible. Lots of "different" stuff to utilize along with all the standard equipment. They even have a room for the "heavy lifters" off the main area. There is a giant, comfortable, cushioned floor for doing ab work and the whatnot. I really enjoyed going here.

Everything you need, nothing you don’t. It has plenty of equipment for everyone, even on their busy times I don’t usually wait for equipment because they have 3-4 sets of everything. The only reason I gave a "good" rating was because the equipment is good and you have everything you need to get a good workout. Cancelled my membership. I love this gym and would not go anywhere else. I cannot speak for the south location, as I have never been, but the west location by far exceeds my expectations. This is not your typical meat market gym which is nice for woman of all ages. Staff is friendly and courteous. The tanning beds were recently replaced that now beat out the tanning beds at higher end tanning salons which I was pretty ecstatic about. I am crossing my fingers that ownership will eventually include at least one red light therapy bed like other gyms offer, so management please consider!! I also dropped my rating from 5 stars to 4 simply due to the weekend gym hours. For a person that works full time and goes to school part time, closing at 6, 7, or 8 o'clock is too early! Please consider closing at 10 throughout the whole week, we need more gym time! Other than that, this gym is the best in Springs, hands down. :)

Accolade offers the friendly atmosphere of your neighborhood gym while simultaneously providing an array of equipment and machines as well as free group fitness classes to help you stick to your routine or change it up. I have never walked in or out without being greeted or recognized by staff in a warm and sincere manner. There was an accidental error in my membership rate that I didn't mention because it was not a big deal to me. They recognized it and made a point to fix it even though I told them I didn't mind. Their accountability and integrity are exactly why I choose their business over others.

I love this gym, it has been a great place for me to come and work out that is close to my work and house. I was very nervous to come and start working out but one of the managers Aaron Kaufman was the changing factor for me, if I was just basing my review off the work I have done with him, I would have given it five stars no question. He worked with me in a way that made me feel comfortable and excited to be there. Now, every time I go back I look forward to working with him, but it brings me great sadness and disapointment to find out he is no longer working at this location. I don't have time to drive across town to the other location and I feel like our gym is missing a huge piece of what made it home for so many of us at Accolade. This has been the only negative for me but I do feel like I has affected my experience, please bring him back, we all miss him so much!

Updating my review and thank you for listening! Old review: I am a member but i dread going there. Good: Extensive assortment of machines and weights Bad: Staff. They are judgy and so not helpful. They make me feel like the fat girl of the place. I am not fat by any means but they only talk and help the "body builders and tiny girls". I have tried to ask questions and have been ignored. Also no one says hello when walking in or leaving.

Update: They recently raised prices for no real benefit to members leading me to switch to Vasa Fitness who for $8 less a month provides far nicer equipment, a sauna, a steam room a pool, and basketball/racquet ball courts. I switched in February and went in on March 1st, 2019 to cancel which they said was required by the 5th of each month. They still charged me for March as well as the annual membership fee despite this cancellation and made me go back again on April 1st, 2019 to cancel and used that documentation against me in my credit card dispute. Shady gyms are still shady even when they are locally owned. Be wary and make sure to get every slip of paper from these people and keep it.

Coming from the giant Gym chains, accolade fitness is a breath of fresh air. From a friendly staff to the best pricing for a gym that I have EVER seen, I highly recommend this place. They keep their gym equipment up to date, and you can bring a buddy with you when you work out, which is extremely nice because nothing motivates like an accountability partner. Great place to commit to fitness! Plus, the close views of Garden of the Gods at the North location aren’t bad!

I joined this gym because it was recommended to me by a coworker and it is close to my work. I have been going to this gym for almost a year now. I am used to the chain gyms like 24 Hour and Bally's and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere of this gym. It is not crowded when I go during the lunch hour which is great. I have never went after 5pm so I can't comment on that. The locker room is pretty small and the lights in there bother me because they flicker. Accolade needs more squat racks and a deadlift platform with bumper weights. The weight room is small when there is a lot of people. It needs a regular seat other than a declined seat which is awkward when doing shoulder presses. There are no 35 pound plates like at other gyms. Overall, this is a pretty good gym for the price but I do prefer McKibbon gym on Fort Carson because it is aimed more towards weightlifters.

Gym is cheap, decent equipment available and they offer tanning and you can bring a partner for free. I dislike the fact you can only perform deadlifts in a squat rack, on one single platform provided by the gym. Staff is majority pretty cool to. ------------ Update: 23Nov18 I have changed it from 3 to 4 stars for the addition of actual deadlifting platforms to the squat racks. It took awhile but good to see the gym heading in the right direction. ------------ Update: 27Nov18 Having to change it back to 3 stars. This doesn't personally have any impact on me but it's a silly new rule for the weight room. For some reason the use of chalk will result in a banned membership to the gym. This is exactly the step back mindset for the weight room that doesn't belong. Most people who were previously using chalk were cleaning up after themselves and a little chalk residue on the bar doesn't hurt anything - also isn't there someone whose suppose to be cleaning the gym every night? Disappointing.

In all fairness, at every gym there is an in-crowd, and rarely do I fit the bill. But I don't go there to make friends, I go there to get fit. Accolade had everything you need to get that done. It is always, always, always clean. Never smells like old B-O like most gyms. If I want to add some new type of workout to my routine, I know that I can always find the exact machine there to do it. It's a busy place, but that's expected, as it is the best gym in town. I've been there for a year, my body has changed. Yeah, I work at it... but if I did not have a place to go with everything that I need I would not have gotten this far. And super huge props for the trainers (who are there, but technically not affiliated with Accolade). Having a specialist around just in case you need some one on one training is key when you've hit a slump. Doug, the trainer that I worked with, is a knowledgeable, encouraging guy. As busy as he is I'm sure others feel the same. Overall, people who need a babysitter during the workout will not find that service available, and that may send some away to lesser gyms. But my experience has been nothing but awesome at Accolade. Go there!

Staff was rude to me on a couple occasions and my wife had an emergency surgery and I ripped a muscle and we didn't cancel our membership and had no money in the bank and they made me pay for 3 months I never set foot in the gym before I could come back which I did then I went to cancel my member ship today and they made me pay for another month even though I'm not going there any more and they was like you can still come for another month and a half so I paid for 4 months I never set foot in the gym I have been to a lot better gyms in the springs glad to put this place behind me. never felt so screwed by a gym in my life and I've been to a lot of different gyms in the springs

I really do like working out here. At 26 years old, I am often the youngest guy in the gym as there seems to be a lot older crowd that workout here, but it doesn't bother me getting my swell on next to the blue haired homies. Grandpa wants to pack on muscle just like the rest of us. Only complaint is not enough squat racks, at all. Only 2 racks, and they are always taken. There are a lot of smith machines, but you just don't get the same effect you do from real free weight.

I was excited to try out this class after speaking with her (that is, when she responded to the 1 of 3 phone calls I made to her cell phone number). Was supposed to take part in the SCHEDULED Monday morning class at 11:30 based on what she said and what Travis mentioned to me on the phone. i called before I came down to make sure the class was still on--Travis checked while I was on the phone, told me she was with a client, but yes, the class was from 11:30-12:30 so I headed down. I entered the building, and was shown by Travis where the room was-this was at around 11:20 and I could see Karyn in the corner with her client. I rambled around the room, waiting for 11:30--wellll, with a room surrounded by windows, it was NOT hard to see that I was in the room waiting for the instructor. When it got to be 11:40 with no appearance from any other customers, or even the INSTRUCTOR, I headed out the front door, and as I was leaving, I saw Karyn standing in the middle of the room, talking with someone, and basically see me leaving the room where class was supposed to be--and she did NOT bother to come and talk with me--I walked out the front door, past Travis, who looked up and I threw my hands in the air as if to say, WTF????? As of the writing of this letter, there STILL has been NO response to my cell phone calls--Tim and Travis were great with their customer relation skills--Karyn on the other hand left a little to be desired.............Just FYi

I was a member for about 1 year and when I went to cancel my membership, they told me that you can only cancel in person or by mail. I canceled by mail and they claimed to have never received my letter, and charged me for another month anyway. I talked to the manager named Dan, he told me that it says in the records that you have not been to our gym in over 30 days, but we will not refund you your money. Very rude. Took my money and ran. On a side note, they raised their prices by an extra 10 dollars a month recently with no notification. Very bad customer service.

Honestly the best gym in the springs and the absolute best value for what you're paying. Great environment and even when it's busy, you can still find open machines. Absolutely worst gym I originally signed up because it was right beside my work I went maybe three times I had to deal with a death in my family and was out of state they still billed me after I called and now they will not even give me a refund even though I haven't been there and what has to be almost 4 to 5 months but yet they've charged me for my membership but won't do anything to help me out absolutely terrible I would rate this is 0 stars as possible if you're considering this gym don't I now have a membership with 24 Hour Fitness and they are amazing don't waste your time at this place!!!

The gym is decent. However you need to be aware that they will charge you for a yearly fee in addition to their monthly fee. Despite the fact that I went to cancel my membership one day after my trial period I still had to pay the yearly fee for myself and my partner 80$. I think that is very poor on their part considering the fact that the payment is for the future year when I will not be there, life happens things change, they take advantage of that. It is their way of getting money from people. I can't believe that they were unwilling to wave the fee for only being a day late.

I think I've been to every gym in the Springs and Accolade is by far the best! The staff is extremely friendly and will always greet you when you come in. Even at peak times (5-7 pm) you'll have plenty of room to workout. The set up is very routine friendly and the price is great for a larger gym. I can't wait to move back and get a membership again.

Amazing gym. The equipment is well maintained and if anything is broken they quickly fix it. The gym is clean with a massive selection of equipment, weights, and cardio machines. And to top it all of the staff is very professional, great to work with, always doing what they can to help, and very friendly. This is an honest review and one which I was not paid to do.

Accolade is large, has a good amount of aerobic and weightlifting equipment that's generally in good shape, and is clean. We had been members for several years. They have a small exercise room; however, shortly after it opened (a few years ago), we used it for a bit of dance practice, and were chastised a couple times for that. Shortly after that, signs appeared indicating that the room was only to be used by approved folks (i.e. people doing group classes), even when empty. Never heard of a room like that being off-limits at a gym. I recently received a new credit card, same # but new expiration date. The subsequent charge to my credit card by Accolade was declined; unfortunately I happened to not go to the gym that week. On my next visit, I was asked for my credit card. I gave it to the teenager staffing the desk; she said, "Oh, and there will be a $5 late fee." I asked for details; she explained that there was a four day grace period. It was, unfortunately for me, day 5. I said "no one notified me," to which she said, "we don't do that." I said, "that's BS;" and at that point, some taller guy towered over me and started berating me in an intimidating fashion. "She's just doing her job! We have 2500+ members... how are we supposed to notify everyone?" At that point I didn't feel like arguing. Uh... a quick form email that gets automatically sent out? (It is 2015, after all.) Not to mention that perhaps a few couple dozen people might have expired cards in any given month--not 2500. Not to mention that most of the time I see a couple teenagers sitting at the desk doing pretty much nothing. My wife went the next evening; she thought I was overreacting (and no, it's not the $5, it's the principle of how you treat customers). However, she talked to the manager on duty, who went on and on about how they're a small gym (they are not--2500+ members is a lot over the national average) and how they have a lot of deadbeats who don't come for months and don't pay. Aha: So, basically their philosophy is that because a number of customers are deadbeats, that's how they're going to treat anybody whose credit card expires and doesn't show up in time. My wife cancelled her membership on the spot. I've also moved on.

Great local gym, but not as good as the south location. Not great for serious weightlifting, probably fine for beginners or casual lifting. The weight room is small and disorganized, shoved into a tiny back room. Only two squat racks, one of which is the only deadlift platform. People wait in line for the platforms while the Smith machines go unused (because Smith machines are terrible). The women's locker room was relatively clean except the floors and sauna. Both need a good power washing since there is a lot of built up dirt, and the bench in the sauna is broken. Showers were clean. I still love the Accolade as a local gym and will continue going to the other location, even though it is farther from my house. Wish this location was better. EDIT updated 2/11/19: The weight room now has replaced the squat rack and deadlift platform with 2 new deadlift platforms, that double as squat racks, with new bumper plates. Still no power racks, just the 2 smith machines (usually no one on them in the AM, but people wait for the platforms). Has been more organized lately, but there are now no squat bars. The only bars available that I saw were olympic-style bars with no knurling in the middle.

I've been going here about 10 mo now and I just love this gym. The staff is awesome and the classes are great. The price is extremely affordable and includes so much with the monthly membership. I'm a big fan!

A great gym! Plenty of free weights, plenty of machines, and classes available if that's what you want. It gets busy sometimes, but there is always open equipment to use.

I have really enjoyed Accolade. It is a very clean gym and the employees seem very friendly. It's not a national franchise type of gym, so it seems a little different than most gyms. I like the big size and the variety of equipment - they seem to have about everything you need. I have been a member for about a year and they seem to always be upgrading the gym. Since I have been here they have purchased a new cross fit type of apparatus, some new LifeFitness treadmills, and some new Nautilus tread climbers. I like the month to month membership. They seem to have more of a family vibe to the gym, probably because they are more in a residential neighborhood. It is popular, but never to busy to get in a good workout. I do wish they had child care, but I guess you can't have everything for $25/month.

Equipment is functional, some new, and clean. The building features natural light which is way better than bright overhead glare of the box gyms. Overcrowding is rarely an issue on any weights or machines. It's the best option for all around fitness in the GOG area.

This owner makes his living by not paying his employees the money he owes them. Throwing out customers who confront him about (broken a/c, equipment or other problems they might have.) There are hidden cameras and microphones throughout the gym that he uses to spy on to degrade and belittle customers (mainly women.) If you want to support someone who is a horrible person then this is your place.

Do not go to them. They will not cancel your payments or refund you money back. I told them repeatedly to stop taking my money out. They will do whatever they can to take your money and illegally charge you more money. I've send them my certified mail and still they charged to my account plus stealing 10 dollars more out of my account.
