Just came out of the gym without completing my workout because some people just sit on the machine for 3 minutes but only do 5 reps, I don't understand and she did saw me waiting. I also pay my monthly dues.

Kari Pearson

Group classes they conduct are full of enjoyment. They also have a swimming pool. It is best place for those who want to practice gymming in a friendly environment.

I began my experience with a 3-5 person Groupon for California Family Fitness choosing its Bond Road location. I only had four of us registered, my husband, daughter (30+ years), and my youngest granddaughter (3). I explained that I have a medical condition that causes me to get seriously overheated, so I don't wear closed shoes/go barefoot (to more easily regulate my temperature), is that permitted? Not a problem, I was told. I attended at least 5 times a week, and I loved it. The people were kind, positive, and the facility was well-maintained. I felt very welcome and at ease. I talked my husband into going; he, in very poor physical condition, found himself playing racquetball five days a week, as well as using the weight machines, steam, spa, etc. He loved it so much that he went every day, which cut into my time--I had been going after work, but when he began going, he would ride in with me, and ten hours at the gym were just too much for him. I cut back to 2-3 x/week, sometimes less. One day, I was doing my usual workout, kind of a yoga/ball/stretch routine, when a staff woman approached me, saying I needed to put on shoes. I explained my situation, adding that I had been coming for well more than a year, that my ability to use the gym was dependant upon this, and that this had been known from the beginning. She told me that I needed to put shoes on or leave. I left in tears. Meanwhile, next to where I was, an instructor led a group in aerobics of some kind; most were wearing socks. My husband said he saw the same thing daily. I quit going for a very long time. Originally, before the Groupon was up, I had signed a contract; after, my daughter asked me to suspend (her and her daughter) from the account as she wouldn't have time. I asked whether I could add them back on later (otherwise I would have left them on); no problem, I was told, I could add them back at any time, they are in your contract. She asked me, a few months later, to add them back on. I went in to do so. No problem, I was told, just sign a new contract. I explained that all I was doing was having the suspension lifted, adhering to my original contract in which they were included, that I would be paying a bit more again, was all. Yes, I was told, but you have to sign acknowledging this. A week later, I found that they weren't added, my contract had been changed(!), and they would not allow me to add anyone over 21, nor would they allow me to add my granddaughter. I kept the membership. Why? My husband's health had improved dramatically. He loved it. Fast forward to more than a year later: My husband had a medical event that nearly killed him about a year or so after joining the gym. He was, and is, in constant pain. He was in extremely poor shape, but dragged himself back to the gym. He had been commenting that staff had changed, there were a lot of people he didn't know and they didn't seem aware of patrons. More than once, he had been bumped into by staff, which was physically painful for him, without any acknowledgement from staff, as if he were invisible. He was going to use the therapeutic swimming pool, which takes him time and pain to even get to, then more to get in, as he attempts to keep his body going. One day, after having yet another experience with getting bumped into, he had made his slow way and had just gotten into the pool when a staff member walked up and told him he had to get out, that the pool had to be empty of people every hour on the hour. He needed to get out, and now. He started to humorously tell her that that wasn't going to happen, that he couldn't get out 'now;' he did tell her he was there for therapeutic reasons, when she became more demanding. Get out. He lost his patience and cursed. He eventually did make his way out. Later, we received a phone call from an indignant manger, saying that if he swore at staff again, he would be asked to leave. Oh, and, the 'new policy' didn't apply to adults using the therapy pool. Staff often uncaring. Facilities often not well maintained/functioning. Water off some days.

This place is nothing but a bigoted and judgmental place to workout. Its nothing but a meat market for people to meet up like a bar. They sit in their asses and do nothing but text on their phone, watch TV and people watch and do nothing but take up the space and use the same damn equipment for 15 minutes. I can see why there are more and more gyms popping up because of people who just want gyms who can just "get in and get out" with no frustrations. People who say I just go there because of the pools, well, i sure enough wont want to take a dip in the pool especially when you have filthy people dirty it up and really don't care how much chlorine there is in there to kill the bacteria. Look, people I have my own swimming pool the healthier the better, but I will never want to share the pool with so many people. Who knows whats in their swimming pool and where their bodies been. They say its a family gym, well I just threw that out the window when they judge a lot of people in the past. Give me a break people... they only support they are people who give them dishonest and kiss butt review on Yelp and those people are definitely dishonest just to get people to sign up and lie about their reviews. That is why Google reviews are real HONEST reviews that stay on. Again, if you want wait for weight, sit-ins and treadmills equipment like "waiting for a ride on an amusement" then this is the place for you. Just remember to bring some popcorn or cotton candy when you do, but if you want to go to a gym where you "get in or get out" then go elsewhere and spend your hard earn money somewhere else. There are plenty of gyms and they are popping up sporadically. People, that work are just there for school employment and you have to tell yourself, are these kids who go to school and graduate that were rude when they are young are going to be our next generation...really? Then I would rather CFF to keep them there and school for another 12 more years and teach them etiquette and personal responsibility.

Love this place. A safe environment for anyone who wants to improve health and fitness. Clients and staff very friendly. All ages, sizes, shapes, health levels.

This place is ok. I like it better then some other locations I been to. There is a couple downfalls. 1. It is way too busy. You have to wait for machines to be available. I had a lady sit next to me & just stare until I was done with the leg machine. Really Uncomfortable! & 2. There is always a class going on which doesn't allow people to use the space to work out (Not in the class room).

Must admit I'm a little surprised to see all the bad reviews on here. I think for the number of members CFF has, it is probably not that bad. I love the Cal-Fit gyms. I went to Laguna and Elk Grove the most frequently -def EG more the last couple years. While no longer a member because I went to a gym with hours more suitable for my late-night schedule, I still love CFF and miss it. The EG gym looks dated, I know they just spent a lot of time sprucing up the interior, but a lot of the equipment, especially all that cardio stuff on the stop floor that doesn't have fans, are or look outdated. That being said, they do have a decent variety of machines to choose from -whether you're looking for ridged foam rollers, to squat racks, to cardio machines, or TRX. They have a whole back section of more HIIT oriented gear but more importantly they have a sauna, steam room, and multiple outdoor pools. Laps at the EG pool is refreshing and even when busy, you don't have to wait too long for a lane. I'm not into group activities, but I did the yoga classes a couple times and really enjoyed it. I know a few folks who did the Body Fit group training who enjoyed the routines, timing, coaching and results. I started at CFF several years ago with a personal trainer (at the Laguna gym) who was outstanding and very honest about what the extent of her knowledge was, what good resources were and how to assess and push myself long-term. Still a big fan of CFF, but they're a family gym and not necessarily geared towards younger folks who want to workout late-night.

Kelvin is my personal trainer I have been going to him for about 3 years now after I shattered my elbow and had to have surgery. He has helped me to get the use of my arm back and I am stronger than I was before. I think he is an amazing trainer and I would recommend him to anyone.

Great for families, good atmosphere, and a friendly staff.

Not a good place to bring your kids here and the staff is rude and won’t care of them at all . My husband and I paid almost 500 dollars in one month and when our kids were not treated good, we decided to cancel and they told us we have to pay additional 300 to cancel service . Their night shift manager is rude and disrespectful as well . Won’t even offer an apology and keep saying ok, so what you want to do ? If you want to cancel pay us the additional 300 .

The outside bathrooms are always dirty and the sauna has paper that people has stuffed down in the corners on the seats where people sit and the floor is never gets cleaned the steam room is also always dirty. and it stinks and the floor has slime and slippery if you are going to join this place don't just walk through go inside the shower s out side first and go inside the steam room and sauna first just don't walk through quick take your time.

All the people that are writing bad reviews are the people that would attend planet fitness. A place where they want to be left alone because they are sad about their lives. At this club you gotta put in the work, we are all there with one goal and that is to stay/get in shape. If your looking for some sympathy go somewhere else this isnt the place. Yes there the machines are used alot, but thats part of the experience, using machines out of your comfort zone because the easy machines, or the ones your used t are taken. Also if your really committed go at night, and esp on the weekends when nobody is there. Stop making excuses just because everything isnt handed to you. This gym is special and deserves five stars and i am kissing no ones ass.

I was a member of this club in the 90's , then served my country and became a member again. This used to be the club to join. I don't know what happened , but I think the owners or management have forgotten where they came from. I had the worst experience with customer service at the Laguna club (Nate S ), and their corporate office (Jordan somebody-would not give me their last name). My bank changed out my debit card for a chip card and my auto pay did not work, unknown to me. I came to the club and was treated like a two-bit piece of trash that did not matter. I call corporate to get an apology and was again treated like a two-bit piece of trash that did not matter. I immediately paid a minor balance and canceled my 7 memberships to the club, and will be encouraging all my friends, family, and everyone else I meet, through social media, in person, and anyone else that is thinking of joining a fitness club not to join an organization that does not value customers. Only your money. I have paid around 30 thousand dollars over the years and would have paid that in the future. Customers matter. But apparently, not to Cal-fit anymore. Sadly disappointed, Nelson Lacsina

Its a good place to workout with a fun spot for the kids to play.

Staff is always super nice to me and the gym itself has a lot of great features, however we could use some newer cardio machines upstairs but besides that it’s great

I’ve been a member at the Bond Road location for 10 years. Absolutely love the place, and the people. So many friends made, healthier than I’ve ever been, and the staff is awesome.

(Translated by Google) I am a member here, the staff here are very friendly, I usually come over to exercise in the morning! But in the afternoon of the last two days, I brought my friend to come. He is not a member. I told the staff that I wanted my friends to experience it. If you like, you can have members to exercise together. But the staff asked us to pay $15. I said that my friend never came to experience it, just to experience it once. She said that it is also charged $15! Can you bring your friends to experience it? I joined at the Natomas gym & was told this gym had a dunk tank for the most ccurate body composition testing. I called to schedule an appointment & was transferred to the head trainer's voicemail where I lefta message. A few days later, after not receiving a call back, I called again. The guy who answered sensed I wasn't happy & spent several minutes trying to track down the trainer, then took down my info & promise a call back. I called a 3rd time the following week & the guy who answered the phone explained that the dunk tank had been broke for the past month. I don't have a high tolerance for poor customer service. I'm looking at getting out of my contract.

Since becoming a member, I am able to walk further than before. Having a personal trainer has been a great help, being a seasoned individual. A little pricey, but worth it.

Brought my kids to swim, as soon as my kid went in the pool one of the attendants yelled at him to get out . When I asked the attendant for the reason she told me with an attitude that the kids have to take a 10 minute break every hour. My kid just went in but anyway when I took this matter to the manager (i think his name was autorio r) and asked him for the reason, he told me it is because the kids pee and poop in the pool.He talked nicely till i told him about the issue. His tone changed right away. So i asked him what if they pee and poop in the time that they are allowed in there(50 minutes) ,to which he said the rules are made by cooperate. I mean what is the guarantee that the kids wont pee and poop in the 50 minute they are given to be in the pool. Thats why parents are there to supervise. Since the parents are in the pool with the kids I don't think any parent will want the kids to pee and poop in the pool.I have been using the gym for a while without any issues but I don't think this rule has any point. When I asked the manager when they started this because I brought my kids to the pool before and there was no rule like this, he told me it starts in July and they enforce it whenever they have enough staff.I don't have a problem with the rules but if this is a rule then it must always be enforced not whenever they want.I'd like to know what you guys think about this. Thanks and have a great day.

The management and staff are impolite and intimidating, i was charged late fees due to their mistake they have but when i called to explain they were accusing me of lying ,in fact i called twice to address the issue but each time i was treated with rude and accusing attitudes , when they're first enrolling you they're very nice ,but afterwards they treat you as if you're guilty and criminal. They have zero customer service. Bad bad experience .

Don't trust anyone there!! I signed up my granddaughter for 2 months and was told I would get a $35.00 credit when she signed up for a personal training session. She signed up but didn't get an appointment until after the 1st 30 days. This was never explained to us and of course they won't honor it. So beware and read what you sign. I've been at Cal-fit for 15 years and have tried to talk to the managers and corporate about this. No response. Obviously they they don't care about long time members. The operation manager at Elk Grove Cal-fit was extremely rude and didn't try to explain anything.

The customer service at this location is less than desired. There are times that I can go through an entire workout being acknowledged once by the staff. Couple that with equipment that is cheap and tends to fall apart, or the fact that they close really early on the weekends -- and well, I was on the verge of cancelling and finding another gym. The final straw was a recent price increase that I was never notified about. My past dues of $55 seemed excess based on what I stated before, but an addition $3 per month seemed to add insult to injury. It's not that $36 per year is a large sum of money, but the fact that it would just be raised didn't feel right. Today I cancelled my membership and, while I explained my grievance to the front desk staff, I was told that it was probably in my spam folder. As someone who works in a position where I have to email clients, I was fully aware of this fact and let him know that a simple search of my email account netted nothing. He admitted to me that I was not the only one to make this complaint, but explained that this was an increase because of minimum wage laws. This begs the question, if my dues are double that of other gyms and the amenities are nice, but not twice as much as Cal Fit's competition, then where is all the money going to? Also, if people are complaining about customer service at this and other Cal Fit locations, why are they only paying minimum wage? Wouldn't it make more sense to increase staffing costs to ensure your clients are taken care of, versus racing to bottom for expenditures and giving clients a sub-par experience? Fortunately, I have found another gym that is about ready to open up in Elk Grove, with the hours I want and honest expectations about customer service. At start up, I was enrolled by the owners (I make that assumption because they took a pride that would come from owning something, or at least believing in what they were doing) and felt like they were hungry to succeed and give clients that they deserve. Until Cal Fit finds that magic again, I don't believe I will be the last client to cancel for similar reasons and will probably be more of the norm. For this local business's sake, I hope they get back that customer-centric purpose, from their front desk to their corporate office.

I have a worse experience in Elkgrove branch. i told sales man name Randy that i want to try this for me and my girlfriend. As we told him that we dont live here in elkgrove so we want to cancel it whenever we want. he said ok that s not a problem. then we went to gym just one day and we figured its hard for us to continue. so i went to the branch to cancel. They said i all managers are gone and you have to come tomorrow. I said i can't come to elkgrove from Tracy everyday!!!! so they made me sign some paper and said they will email me. But i didnt receive anything. Next month they charged me again, i was like wow. i called them many times but atlast i went there again. they said all they can do it charge me early termination fees and no refunds.... seriously......greedy people no customer satisfaction.... Staff are pretty friendly but one of them keeps setting things on the button that affects the speakers in the locker room....the music cuts in and out a can here bits and pieces of conversation. Also they put informercial channels on the TV's in the treadmill area...today e of the 5 in the first section had a prostate informercial. Would rather see the news, which was on a TV further down but not close enough to read captions.

My very first time at any CalFit and I wanted to rock climb so naturally I had to sign a waiver, so I signed at the appropriate areas that had been highlighted and left the areas with parental and relationship blank because I'm an adult and the calfit membership is under my name. So naturally when you fill out a form you sign and initial the appropriate sections like addressing and date of birth. The lady who gave me the form, however gave me a very bad attitude about signing at all highlighted sections even though they had nothing to do with me such as "parent" and "relation" sections, then she goes off and turn to her coworkers speaking out loud about the previous people who had done the same thing on the form. This lady at the front desk was extremely rude and did not care. UNFORTUNATELY I DID NOT GET HER NAME BUT SHE HAD RED HAIR, VERY LIGHT SKIN, AND I BELIEVE WEARS GLASSES. SHE WORKED ON THE FRONT AT ABOUT 5:20 PM ON January 14, 2018. BY FAR I HAVE NEVER FELT SO ANGRY AT THE WAY I WAS TREATED BY ANY GYM EMPLOYEE ANYWHERE. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE AND POOR ATTITUDE. SHE WAS ALSO RUDE TO MY FRIEND WHO WANTED TO ROCK CLIMB TOO AND HAD TO FILL OUT THE FORM.

Straight rip off! I go in to sign up me and my son with annual contract for $69 a month. The next month, I get charged $110 without any notifications. I called and they tell me to leave a message to the person who signed me up so I did. Two weeks later I still haven't got the call from them yet. This is crap!

Great place to workout, regardless of age, size,, or fitness level. I love the class instructors. They are encouraging and help you adapt the routines. Wonderful!

Staff is not nice, supervisor (India, female) not response to member’s question nicely and politely. Salesman in Bond road (from Guam) used flirting word and not respect female client. Quality drops a lot. I miss the old nice and caring staff from 2013-2015. Please change and upgrade the service quality of your facility.

This is my regular gym. Usually, I would to there 2-3 times per week. The lap pool is heated all year around. The group exercises are fantastic. I love their spinning class and cardio workout. Instructors are professional and make your workout fun. You will find the gym sparkling clean as they have enough staff to keep the bathrooms and floor in good shape. The floor and pool areas are upgraded/remodeled every year. They will add new workout machines from time to time. Thumbs up. Best gym ever.

I would love to give a 5 star as I've been going to this gym for over 20 years. But over the last year I've had a lot of issues being able to use the steam room. Normally, regular cleaning happens before the foot traffic gets high. However since January, I've gone in the evening (usually after 5pm when it's really busy) and had the steam room being cleaned... So to adjust, I tried going when they first open at 4:30am. Same thing, steam room is being cleaned. On the weekends, I've gone at 9am... same thing. So to adjust for weekend cleaning, I go later at 11 or noon... and guess what... that's right, room is closed for cleaning. I completely understand that things happen with people's shifts and such, but this is becoming an annoyance since I pay to use these amenities and they aren't available to me and the several other members who share my discontent. In the 20 years I've been going here, this is the first time I've had issues completing what I consider the best part of my workout. Just want to mention that I don't have this problem at ANY OTHER LOCATION! I've been to the Laguna & i5, Natomas, and Downtown locations and have no issues using the amenities no matter what time of day I go. This location is near my house, which is why i'm writing this post. I feel like I should have to use another location just because they clean the place before the majority of their members get there.

Recently the place had been pretty bad, but with all the new additions like a bigger studio area with lots of auxiliary work out equipment like a pop out jump platform, a mini trampoline and a full length punching bag, I'd say they are winning me back. Was about to write a bad review a few days ago due to a bad experience but these new equipments have changed my mind for sure. Well played management.

Mikal Tuyen

Always loved this place. Lots of modern equipments for exercise and workouts. There Zumba and cycling classes is always my personal favorite. This place is always clean and the staff is helpful. I only wished they are a little cheaper for a large family to join.

I started my journey with cal fit 2 years ago but only switched over to the bond road gym this past year. It was the best decision I have ever made and has changed my life in ways I can’t explain. One of the reasons is because I started taking Kelvins Jenkins bodyfit class and I couldn’t imagine my life if I had never taken his class. He makes the class fun and is very encouraging while still making sure we have good form and get a good calorie burn in. I sometimes will do personal training sessions with him for a nice change up to my normal routine or when I hit a plateau. Kelvin has been a huge help in my weight loss journey and I don’t think he even realizes how much of an impact he’s made in my life. I still take kelvins class 3 times a week sometimes 4 and on occasion will come back and take his evening class too.

DO NOT TRUST THE SALE REPRESENTATIVES OR ANY STAFF MEMBER! Two months ago, I went into California Family Fitness on Bond and brought a pay stub from my work because I had a discount eligibility. I provided all the correct information and yet one month later I was still charged the same amount. I went back into Family Fitness and learned one of their staff members LOST my proof of employment. I was furious, but decided to give them another chance and provided another proof of employment. Another month goes by, I was charged the same price once again! I went into the gym and the staff member said a very profane word because he had FORGOTTEN about my situation! He then attempted to fix the situation, and said he would call me when everything was in order. I waited for his call, but it never came! I want to cancel my membership because of the terrible staff members and yet they decided to backhand me once again! One year go when I got my membership, the sales representative never said I was signing a year long membership! I have been at this gym since November of 2014 and only now am learning about my contract. Not only did the representative last year not inform me about my contract, but the one that I spoke to about my situation now, discredited the one who sold me my membership! But that's not all. In order to add my discount, I had to sign my name on a tiny electronic box. I was not handed the terms of what I was signing, but I was guaranteed that I was going to be refunded for the previous two months. I wanted out of Family Fitness, and the sales rep completely understood and gave me the corporate office number after I signed the box for my discount. I waited for a phone call from the Bond family fitness and never got one! I called the Family Fitness Corporate Office myself and explained the situation. They said nothing could be done and I would have to stay with their terrible staff members until my contract is over. I asked for a copy of the first contract a year ago and what I signed for my discount. Well turns out I signed another year long contract that I was never informed of! I was screwed over countless times from not only this Family Fitness, but the corporation itself. I don't recommend anyone to join this horrifying gym. Worst mistake I have ever made.

I never used my 24 hour fitness membership I think I went a total of 5-10 times in the 2 years I had the membership. I go at least once every week to Cal Fit! I work out with my trainer Tiana Lucky who makes it fun and she challenges me to do a little more or track my nutrition. I have some old work injuries and just felt like I was crippled... Bad knees, back problems and a shoulder injury. Lots of surgeries and now I'm stronger and feel able to go places like amusement parks and even a little hiking and camping. I've lost weight too, when I started I was 210 now I'm 185

I’ve been a member since 1997. My 3 stars is for the nice yoga classes I take at Cal Fit- Jackie, Charlotte and Jennifer are great. The staff are usually friendly enough. Club is generally clean. Way too many people sometimes. Cool pools. My problem here (-2 stars) was for horrible customer service I received by a very arrogant employee who goes by Daniel G. When I raised a legitimate problem with my membership fees, he was completely dismissive and basically was, like, ‘too bad’- happened to all members due to the new laws on minimum wages’. Waved me off. My contract terms were very clear. When I decided to take it up with the main office, the employee there who helped me agreed my membership fee should not have changed per my contract and fixed the problem immediately. Maybe someone can inform Daniel to advise members to contact the office if they’ve been a loyal, consistent client for over 22 years. An awful way to treat customers with not even a care to give. Cal Fit and its customers would benefit greatly if they’d send him to sensitivity training.

I’m glad I am a member! The kids and I enjoy our time at the gym! It’s very close to home and the staff are so friendly

Wouldn't let me in even after I signed a guest pass, I am 17, I provided a CA Drivers Liscense, and they still refused! I EVEN had my 20 year old brother with me and they REFUSED to let me in because of my age, they were adamant my mom come in herself just to let me in, to people who have parents who have lives and jobs, this is horrible. If I have a LEGAL ADULT who can sign on my behalf why the hell am I not permitted into the gym?

Tom Higgins

I’m a new member and joined because my daughters recommended Cal Fit. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is cleaned every morning and I see staff vacuuming the floors and cleaning the equipment. The members are friendly and enjoy the workout routines set up by the staff.

Steve Rushing

I am giving it one star presently but may improve it later. I am not a member of CFF but while at the Cal Expo State Fair today me and some friends stopped in at a booth they had there, listened to their promo-talk and thought I might sign up as an individual. No prices were posted but me and my friends were verbally told it was a guaranteed monthly amount ($39) which seemed reasonable, and that it was not a teaser rate that they would be increased later. We filled out the contract then I pointed out that she did not write the quoted rate ($39) rate on the contract. Said she'd add it in and mail it to me later. I asked, why can't you write it in now? Well she says, I don't know if it's $39 or $39.99 ... Now it's seems a little fishy because it's late in the day, she's been selling these all day (I assume) and she does not know what the rate is?? Gimme a break!! At this point I start to read the contract in detail and find significant deviations from what she had told me and my friends. I also tell her, look, I am not walking away without the rate being written into the contract. She texts her boss she says, who texts back, and it turns out the rate is $10 a month more than she quoted me. At that point I said forget it. I just tore the contract into pieces and walked away. Though there's other negative reviews with regard to their business practices, I still plan to look into a membership there. However I'm going to visit a facility personally and assure I get the entire scoop accurately. The whole thing was disappointing and a little unnerving, and it was not a case of me misunderstanding anything, my friends heard it as well... Again, I hear good things about the gym so I'll visit it personally and see how it is dealing with them.

Same machines broken over a month but they raise the membership price. Where exactly is this money going ?

Mr. D.R.

Nice place to exercise. There are times when the gym is packed and times when it's basically empty. It's right next to a trail if you want a quiet walk. It provides us with what we need for a healthier life.

Great place! A lot of equipment, you will always find a fun stuff to do. Group classes are super fun. Swimming pool is clean and warm. Hot tub is my favorite! They also have a great staff , very helpful and kind.

I've been here for a few months now, I came from 24hr fitness. I have few complaints for some reason they are short on barbells, and have few 10lb plates and 25lb as well. The floor is a little crowded too with equipment.Yes it's true there are alot of dumbasses on their phones hogging up equipment. But that's when you ask them to work in. Sometimes you have to adjust your routine to the crowds in there. I go later in the evening when most of the gym bunnies and d-bags are gone. Overall not a horrible place but it needs improvement. I come in hit it hard and work around the idiots. They're at every gym now it's the culture we live in.

I just recently started coming to this location. I have a three in a half year old son who I put in the child care. Because he is not EXACTLY four years old he has to go In the infant room.........I’m an sorry, but it is TORTUROUS to put a almost 4 year old who sees the big play structure in the older kids room and make him walk through the room seeing kids his age/size only to be told no you have to play with kids/toys that are too young for you. A three year old is NOT an infant! Either change your policy or add some toys for the older kids. I will now be finding a new location that will be fun for my son.

A place full of fraud, my account has expired, the sales staff even used my name to sign a fake contract to continue to charge, I have been dealing with this company, their attitude is rogue. I won't go to this company again in the future. It's terrible!

Great place to work out - lot of machines/free weights, pools, courts, classes... Offers something for everyone. You will pay more for the variety, but it is worth it for my family.

The reason I've enjoyed my experience with California Family Fitness is because of the staff, but more specifically, the wonderful personal trainers and body fit coaches. I've been working with Andrew for quite some time now for personal training and he's the best trainer! He's kind, patient, and very knowledgeable, but at the same time encourages/motivates me to not give up. The trainers/coaches are friendly and the classes are challenging, but a blast! There is a lot of equipment, which is a plus.

In an ocean of personal trainers, fitness professionals, and gym bros, it isn't easy to find someone who is authentic, knowledgeable, academically sound, and completely engaged with meeting client needs. Kelvin Jenkins at Elk Grove (Bond) is an expert trainer. His positive demeanor encourages others to test their physical limitations, and his thoughtful programming maximizes the body’s ability to work without resulting in everlasting muscle soreness. Further, his careful attention to clients ensures that movements are executed with proper form and ultimate safety. For myself personally, a continued problem with my back has made for many road blocks in the past. Kelvin understands my limitations and provides useful modifications that still result in an outstanding workout without further injury. Because of these things, Kelvin has been a major influence in my journey from obese to athlete. Kelvin is truly amazing and someone that I continue to rely on.

Not the worst gym ever. The digital lockers are all taken 24/7. I think ppl just lock em up n keep them day after day cause I've never been there and seen one open. Also there is maybe 30 of them, least I've seen of any location. Area for lifting is semi-crammed but I guess not much they can do about that. One aspect I'm über impressed with is the smoothie shack employee. I forget his name but the dude is the best. I literally hasnt been there in 3-4 months and he still remembered my drink when I came back. He always has an awesome attitude and is an all around great guy and employee from my wife n my experience

The water aerobic pool is awesome! It's heated to the degrees recommended for people with arthritis, although anyone would enjoy this pool when classes are not in session. My sports doctor told me that water is wonderful for people dealing with arthritis.

Front desk staff will not let your guest in a few minutes after 9pm and will laugh in your face as they tell you. Sales representatives will get aggressive and yell at you / slam their desk.

I can't believe I have to go outside to use the porta potty to use the bathroom. I was here in this location months ago and the bathroom were not avaible then and are still under some kind of renovation. I can't imagine how much longer is going to take. This location is dirty and the staff are rude and the machines are old and broken. It's not worth my $$$.

Shout out to Jeslyn A'lise the awesome U Jam instructor at CalFit Elk Grove. Her class tonight got me dancing again! Come out on Tuesday nights at 7:30! She played the perfect mix of music and I was able to catch on fairly quickly and had no problems with the choreography.

So far disappointed. The signage is hard to see on the road. The lockers lack locks which other locations have built into the door. No courtesy padlocks either. Hope no one steals my shoes or shirt.

The staff harasses potential customers and are misyognists. Awful place to go to. Total garbage.

People just have to sit at a machine on their phone. It's annoying. Staff are not friendly anymore

My family just joined a few weeks ago at Laguna. We have been visiting different locations when we go to get a feel of each one. The environment here is very well set up and there is a clear distinction between the weights and cardio areas. I go in the mornings by myself because of the convenience of location and how easy it is to find the equipment I need. Everything is very clean and stocked and there is never a worry of not getting the equipment I need in the morning. When I go with my family at night, it is very different. The gym is packed with teenagers and kids. We often play racquetball but they only have three racquets in bad condition so we miss out on this here. We will probably stick to the Laguna location for family gym time in the evenings. They do have a very nice outside area with three pools, a splash area, a BBQ/social area, tennis courts, and hot tub. I would just avoid this in the evenings if you don't like stressing over crowds.

Always busy, great place to sit on a bench and text your friends while others are waiting for you to move on.
