This is a small but very well-stocked 24-hour gym in the heart of Sherwood. Their defining asset is a team of incredibly dedicated trainers. I train weekly with Leila, one of the owners, and have a key fob for unlimited access to the gym the rest of the time. I have had other trainers before in the past, but none as helpful as Leila.The weekly workouts with her are always varied (new combinations or variations every time!) and seem to have been thoughtfully created with my specific needs in mind. She also designs workouts to guide me through my independent sessions during the rest of the week. She has a knack for assessing quickly where I should start, knowing which specific goals will help me best get to my bigger goals, and designing incremental progressions to get me there. So encouraging and hopeful! She consults with me about diet and nutrition and is extremely knowledgeable. She follows my food journal and offers both motivational tips and helpful nutritional information. She is mindful about noticing modifications needed: she noticed me favoring an old injury and taught me how to functionally strengthen the area without risking further damage. I like to lift heavy, but I've met some of her clients who don't, so I think her style is very adaptable. Don't know the other trainers well, but I work out with their clients sometimes and they all seem just as happy as I am! Great choice for local, highly personal, non-intimidating training.
