Not accessible to people w/disabilities. Filing a complaint w/Human Rigjts Commision in Alaska. The other written critique’s here scoring one and two are legitimate. I had same concerns re: membership sales and weak scheduling. They “up sell” w/weak service and no access for people using wheel mobility devices (walkers, wheelchairs, etc.). The upstairs cardio room has 15+ steep steps w/no elevator. I’ve given them and previous owner feedback...nothing. I taught business and entrepreneurship a univ. level and am a small business owner...and AK. Club, in general, is “slum lord” of Alaska re: “worst business practices in fitness.” Look out! All I wanted to know was how much memberships cost. I even walked into the Palmer location and they refused to tell me how much a membership cost unless I went into a meeting with someone from membership. No thank you! I need to know how much a membership costs before I even waste anyone’s time or have my time wasted in some long used car salesman type pitch to be pressured into signing a contract. If there are different levels with different prices tell me, that simple! I called before ever walking into a location. Ridiculous!!! Don’t waste people’s time and don’t be sneaky and predatory about how you go about getting people to sign a contract!

I wont go here. I heard about how they treat their employees. Making a person who has never missed a day of work come in right after their spouse went into a coma and then telling the employee that they had to do more work for the same pay. No thank you!

I'm a member at the Palmer Alaska Club and really love this gym. I joined last year and will definitely renew my membership. I never felt pressured to join. Actually, I moved to the area, because I thought this was a great gym for me with solid equipment and the layout was perfect. For me, training is very important in my life, and they have everything I need there. I think the staff does an exceptional job at welcoming people and keeping the gym very clean and orderly. Additionally, the other gym members (of all ages) are also very pleasant, respectful and courteous. I do recommend checking them out.

My boyfriend forgot his Shirt and shorts in the locker room. Yes we know "Alaska club is not responsible for lost or stolen items", but we didn't consider them lost or stolen, we knew they would be waiting for us in the lost and found, or at least we thought so. But when we returned 4 days later and asked about them they said "yes we found them! but we donated them",...That is unacceptable to us that 3 days later(they donated on day 3) they just give our clothes away. They even said the bin of clothes were all old except for ours which were basically brand new and worth about $100. Tim who worked behind the counter was very rude and this is not the first time he has acted in a unprofessional way to me. I was wish we could be reimbursed for the clothes.

Looks small on the outside, but plenty of equipment inside. The Alaska Club Palmer is one of many gyms in The Alaska Club family. If you're already a member of The Alaska Club then you most likely can visit this location for no charge. Visitors pass is $15 per day. Plenty of parking. There are locker rooms and showers, but you need to bring your own lock. Plenty of cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights. Very weak cellular signal unless your phone is by the window. I highly suggest using their wireless, but I found the wireless to be only a slight improvement while streaming.
