Fantastic climbing gym! Lead, rope, speed and boudlering all under one roof. Nice routes; compliments to the great setters! Nice selection in the pro shop as well. Bathrooms were clean. Offers drinks and snacks for purchase. Staff are incredible! Super engaging and friendly. If your a beginner like me or a pro like my hubs and son..you will love it here! Can't wait to come back!

I'm in love! This is by far the best climbing gym I've been to. Big enough to have everything you need, but not overwhelming. Lots of bouldering, sport climbs, auto-belays, and lead routes! Always clean and organized, with new routes being set up consistently. Was pleasantly surprised to see GriGris attached to all the ropes, so you won't need your own device for top rope belay.

We had an excellent time as a family and have not been since we'll before kids! Will be going back for sure!

Evan Britts

Went climbing, nice clean gym with fun routes. Unfortunately they charge full price for only being half open due to a climbing competition the next day. I would expect a discount on day passes for not offering a full experience. Edit: Spire has refunded my trip and provided a free session. Thanks

Awesome time, had lots of bouldering options even as a beginner and the showers were clean, a great plus while travelling. The student discount is for anybody with a student ID even my canadian university was accepted and the staff are always up for answering any questions.

Spire is such a cool gym for the town of Bozeman, I had some concerns earlier and left a lower star review, however Spire's Staff clearly makes an effort to show support to their customers. Super awesome gym!!

One of my favorite places in all of Bozeman (right up with my home :-). Large facility, friendly and helpful staff, lots of free and cheap climb-educational opportunities for members. I took off a star for one reason: the routes aren't taped. I very much dislike that, although I understand it is expensive to tape routes. There are frequently multiple routes with similarly colored rocks close to one another...a bit frustrating. Still, they have my membership for a long while.

The old gym was great but the expansion makes it exceptional!

David Fitzpatrick

Always fun, very professional staff.

Large gym with lots of high quality routes. I like how they do free top rope belay lessons. I edited my review after a large number of new routes were set. My only advise for the future would be to incrementally set new routes in sections (as I've seen here before), instead of one large batch after a long period of time (as was basically done this latest time). That way there is more continuous change, and less chance someone will go again after a month and see all the same routes.

With the expanded Walltopia section, a full range of campus boards, high quality free weights and a diverse offering of yoga classes this is hands down the BEST gym in Bozeman. This is the place to get fit with a supportive community and challenge yourself. Spire also offer a full range of climbing gear - from ice climbing, trad climbing, harnesses, shoes and intro packages take a look at the selection. Members get a discount - which always helps. It is time to climb!

Spire is great, when it is not doubling as a daycare center and using dated sets. It is ridiculous for a climbing gym to be operating like this. Though it may be intentional since I don't even bother to go that often anymore since majority of the routes become exceptionally stale. They need to start doing rotating walls of 1-2 weeks a new wall gets set. Same for bouldering. I have seen that at every previous gym I have been at. I think Spire having really zero competition is their saving grace, and they have grown lazy knowing that. All in all, great gym when they are not doubling as a daycare center and they remember to reset. Currently the old gym set is 2+ months old (probably longer, went conservative). You have to start to ask if your monthly membership is really worth it. People there are great, but it has gone down hill drastically in the past year. Not sure what is going on internally. Also, had to create a new Google account since I didn't want to have blowback by the climbing community here for an honest opinion of the current realities at this gym. Get off the kool aid and expect more for what you pay for! Signed, Member of 3 years

Fantastic all around gym. Nice cardiovascular equipment, training room, yoga classes and huge bouldering and rope climbing areas. Hands down the nicest gym I've been to.

Not a fan of the whole after-school-mob thing they do during the week. Also, all of the bouldering was completely closed for 5 days last week while they reset... Overall, the gym seems much too inconvenient and unreliable to justify the cost of membership. Such a bummer.

Its such a fun place and a very good way to work out! Its also fun for those who enjoy climbing but cant during the winter, its also a fun challange getting to the top of the climbing walls! Will go again no doubt!!

Great family day time on a stormy summer day. The 6 and 3 yr old had a blast. We plan to come again.

Spire is a top notch climbing gym with an awesome staff to support it! I have been to several gyms in the US and Europe and have found our local gym to be superior on many accounts. It’s clean! The routes change on a regular basis, the holds are the latest variety available, and best of all they are thoroughly cleaned in between each set. The owners, staff and setters care, and pay attention to customer input. Spire is spacious as they have expanded the facility several times as our climbing community grows. At times in the afternoon it can get busy with youth programs, but this is what we want in climbing! Younger generations getting after it!!

Went for an 8 year old's birthday party. My kids (6&14) had a really awesome time. The staff was great with all the kids, I was super impressed! Special mention for Zach, kids absolutely loved him! We'll definitely go again.

This place is immaculate. The routes are really challenging and have an amazing variety, my only complaint is there weren't quite enough beginner routes but it's kind of a moot point since they have such a nice gym up top so my wife and I could mix up climbing with weight lifting. Really enjoyed this place and would tell anyone interested in climbing to come here while in town.

This place is amazing!!! Visiting family in Bozeman and needed something to kill the time....so glad we happened upon this place. What an amazing facility. We were brand new to climbing and the staff gave us a great tutorial..literally "showing us the ropes". Then they turned us loose to have a great time. Now we have some climbing addicts! We will definitely be coming back on future visits through Bozeman!

Great gym and atmosphere. The 15 percent discount on gear for members is amazing. If you climb here you should have no reason to go to REI.

First time at a climbing gym. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a great time. Nice facility. Clean bathroom's. Will definitely be back. UPDATE: My wife and I have become members of the gym. My wife is enjoying yoga sessions while I enjoy climbing. It is a very laid-back, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. They offer classes that are very helpful for beginners. The classes are small and personal. The list of pro's could go on. Well worth a visit.

Really fun climbing center. They also have some really great yoga classes. If you're feeling adventurous try AcroYoga! Mckinsey does a great job teaching the class. If you're new to AcroYoga she does a great job getting your started on the basics!
