This place is not horrible for the price, also the fact they are open 24/7. Only thing I could ask for is more work outs and more space.

With multiple locations, good equipment and numerous classes, Body Renew is a great place to work out. Did I mention that the price is designed for affordability as well. An additional bonus is being able to have 24/7 access which allows me to work out on my ever changing schedule. This place is just what Alaska needed. Nice enough people in customer service but HORRIBLE practices. Just called to cancel after my one year contract was up, but because I missed it by a day, I'll be charged an extra month since I didn't cancel within the 30 day cancellation time. (despite specifically stating that I only wanted one year's membership.)

The manager's suck and don't take responsibility for their "teeny boppers". This place is a complete rip-off and not only would not recommend them but will go out of my way to let everyone else know how incompetent the management is and you are wasting your cash

Staff Doesn't take responsibility for there equipment. A lot of minor things wrong with many of the machines. What exactly are the maintenance fees you charge yearly used for? This is above and beyond the monthly fees. they don't advertise this. This is one of those things buried in the contract they breeze through with out pointing out that feature. Wont be back.

MILITARY BEWARE! DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT!!! They will not cancel it if you deploy. If you have any kind of job where you may travel and can't use the gym for long periods of time, do not sign a contract. They will not refund you. They will not let you cancel without penalty regardless of the reason. They will keep charging you for months after you've cancelled and will not refund you and then they'll tell you it's your fault. Do not go to this gym. They will lie to you and twist the truth and then deny they've done it. Completely dishonest and shady 19 year old punks running the gym. These kids are as clueless as they are narcissistic.

I like the gym. Mostly because it's open 24 hrs and it's empty when I go around midnight. The eagle river location could use some upgrades. Not enough equipment to support the demand during peak occupant times. Treadmill area could use a TV or two. Generally nice and clean, friendly and helpful staff.

Open 24 hours and not usually crowded (I go after 8pm) is awesome for me. It's small but it has everything you need. The dumbells go up to 100. Plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stair climbers. Three rowing machines. A variety of targeted cable machines as well as a couple adjustable multi purpose machines. 5-6 benches. Smith machine. Two large bars for benching/dead lifting. A rack of pre weighted barbells up to 100. Two large workout rooms. Some cross fit equipment (I'm not an expert in cross fit). The price is great. I have not encountered any bad people in there ever. Generally mature adults lost in their headphones. Entrance is protected by a key card scanner.

The equipment was not well taken care of, often times there would be the same stains/grime on equipment for weeks. The womens changing room floor was carpet and I don't think it was well cleaned, I put my bare feet on it ONCE and got some weird fungus on my feet (gone now) the air quality was probably the worst part, it was humid from sweat and hard breathing.... yuck. No thanks. The staff was nice, but has quite the turn over.

The major benefit is the location for those that live in Eagle River and they also have decent classes too. The downside is that for one who likes to use their inclined treadmills I find that there are multiple ones with issues that never seem to get fixed.

The gym is fine if you consider the price. A little worn and the overall look/facility is dated, but it has most of the equipment you’d expect and want. My biggest issue when coming here is in the winter the facility is wayyyy too cold. (Especially the group workout room with mirrors)

Very clean place and up-kept. I was hesitant to go after seeing the negative reviews but the company seems to have grown greatly. Customer service was excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is .. they honestly could use some more equipment for lifting. All in all its a great place for a good price!

I love this gym, all staff very friendly and a few have gone out of their way to give me free nutrition advice. The group fitness classes are awesome, all instructors have been fantastic! I especially enjoy Larissa's yoga classes and Monica's zumba class. The clients are of all fitness levels and you don't feel judged by your weight or appearance, very comfortable atmosphere.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The The locker rooms are clean, if well worn. The floors are very slippery when someone showers in one of the two stalls. They do offer child care, though I've not used it as the hours don't work with my schedule. I like that I can go 24/7; staff aren't present after 8pm but it has never been an issue. The whole place is clean, but worn. The pullup assist is missing the padding on the grips, chipped paint, etc. It coukd use a refresh. The trainers I had were friendly and professional, though Justin was my favorite.

Without permission from, or even the courtesy of informing members, Body Renew turned over it's billing to a 1 star company with tens of thousands of complaints for fraud, overcharging, and months long runs of stealing "dues" and "Fees" using autodraft AFTER PROPER CANCELLATION of membership. Scum! How dare Body Renew give my Bank Autodraft information to ABC Financial? I encourage all readers to check complaints on Dept of Consumer Affairs, Better Business Bureau, or the Ripoff Report.
