These people are scammers. Don't sign their contracts. They are outrageously over priced for sub-par facilities. I moved Away from the area out of state, and they refused to let me out of my contract early even though there was no possible way for me to use the facility. Those were the terms and conditions, and I signed so I can live with that. A month before my contract was up I called the Bay Club to ensure that once my contract had expired that I would be relived of my responsibilities to pay for a membership I could not use. I was insured repeatedly that once my contract was over I would no longer be charged and I had nothing to worry about. This was False. The month after my contract expired they continued to charge my card on file. I called again, letting them know that I had arraigned the previous month for my contract not to renew and that they needed to refund the charge. They then informed me that the only way for anyone to cancel a membership was to appear in person and fill out a form, and only after the contract had reached expiration. Somewhere in the fine print they allow to keep charging you after the length of the contract unless you come in and fill out the form. They were firm that this could not be done over the phone or via email/fax. I live 4000miles away, there is no possible way for me to do this, I have already paid hundreds of dollars for a membership I can't use because I don't live in the state. I finally got to speak with a manager, who also attempted to hold me to continual payments until i arrived in person. After much debate they finally agreed to cancel my membership over the phone, and refund one month of charges. Thank goodness I thought. Oh, wait, they say it is impossible for them to refund my credit card, even though they have it on file? They must issue me a paper check.... I have never heard of that, if you can charge a card, you can refund it. I made the mistake of going along with this and was assured my refund would arrive in the mail within 2 weeks. A month has passed and nothing. I called again to inquire as to the whereabouts of my refund, had they even sent it yet? It has been 4 weeks. I talked with the same manager who seemed confused as to why it had not arrived, oh, it looks like they never sent it. Of course she has to re-clear it with her boss, and so sorry it must have fell through the cracks. I was yet again assured it would be fine and they would get it in the mail and call me with confirmations. It has been another week....Nothing. At this point I will just be disputing these charges with my card company, and I am left feeling scammed. I know they are a small business, and that does not excuse cheating people who tried to support them. I was happy to pay while I was actively using the gym, I sucked it up and paid 6 months worth of overpriced dues after I moved away to honor our contract. And I am outraged that they have continued to try and bully me over refunds and cancelation policies that are inappropriate. Ultimately I signed something that put me here, so be warned not to make the same mistake. Don't contract with the Bay Club in Homer, Alaska

This place is way too expensive for what it has to offer. Not to mention some staff and management/owners are horrible to customers. Only seems cares about money they can make, equipment and facility is not well maintained. Facility seemingly closes or changes hours whenever they feel like it too.

Saunas always broken. Weight area is crampt and weird. Rock climbing holds Neve cleaned or changed. Very over priced. Multiple machines were broken for months. Place seems nice at first...

Decent quality equipment, awesome rock climbing wall, warm pool, racquetball courts, physical therapy, classes, large open workout room, steam rooms, showers. Lots of workout options and overall a great place to go. Buisness hours are terrible. Membership prices are prohibitively expensive.

Went to take my kid to go swimming. Was not able to because the pool is for members only. They do not sell day passes for the pool or gym. Will not support this business in any way.

Facility is poorly maintained and managed. Staff is unattentive to sanitary conditions both during and after hours. Climbing facility is maintained by volunteers and if you get injured don't expect anything but you signed the waivers. I was injured using the facility after asking prior for some crash pads to be replaced but alas did not get it in writting. Be wary and use at your own risk.

Clean gym. Love the pool, yoga classes and workout/aerobic equipment. Kind of expensive but worth my sanity in the winter. I used to love this place but now they are closed on Sundays and I still am paying $170/month. Our family used to go to the gym Sunday afternoons. One of us would play in the pool with the kids & the other would do a long workout. We are now looking for alternatives.

Took our 6 year old there for a swim. Very nice people there.

I just don’t understand why it has to be so expensive. I love being able to play racquetball and go for a swim and they’re heated pool but I just can’t justify how expensive those places. Every time I’ve been there it’s less than half full and the pool is empty unless it’s family day. I’ve also heard some horror stories about getting out of the contract that you signed in order to become a member. You can use the facilities on a day-to-day basis for a payment of course.
