I moved to Huntsville from the Washington DC area in September and immediately began working there as a trainer. I was skeptical at first due to the fact I was coming from one of the larger gyms on the East Coast, but the gym is amazing! Any kind of equipment you could want or need in a gym. Everything is clean and in working order. I was immediately welcomed into the Powerhouse family by the staff and ownership. It really helped me ease the pain of starting work in a new place. As I get to know all the members I can see that this gym is like a giant family overall, everybody knows each other. I have nothing but great things to say and can’t wait to see what the future holds here.

Blaine, The manager is a great business man that knows how to run a company. The gym is always very clean and just comes with a very good vibe. Everyone their has one goal and that is to become a better and healthier person, and to help everyone who uses the gym a better and healthier person. Powerhouse Fitness is by far the best gym I have ever been to, I would 10/10 recommend this gym to anyone no matter what their personal goals are.

Thought this was going to be a great place because it offered childcare and tanning! Huge disappointment! 1) childcare is absolutely unacceptable! It’s literally a dirty room for kids of all ages to run/crawl. No changing station. Kids wear shoes or barefoot. They eat each other’s snacks because obviously the staff is not watching the children. Don’t take your children here! 2) Tanning beds DO NOT have tanning bulbs! 3) The overall facility is just dirty. Old towels are left at equipment, including old energy drinks, water bottles. Staff clearly doesn’t clean up.

This is the best gym I've ever been to. They have 2 small turf fields, free weights, rowers, elliptical machines, bikes, battle ropes, speed ladder, heavy bag, speed bag, bumper plates, climbing rope, and all the regular machines as well. They also have a small supplement shop at the front desk. Affordable, great staff, and open 25/7.

Went to the gym for about a year pretty good nice equipment plenty of isolation machines, free weights, many Smith Press & bench press because who want to wait for a machine they have options for each muscle staff were alright

Everything a gym should be and nothing more. Powerhouse is not a fancy health club by any means, but if you are looking for a clean, well-stocked gym with good pricing- powerhouse is a solid choice.

All the gyms in Huntsville I have seen are about average. Powerhouse is one of the better ones of the lot. The equipment is of good quality, the gym has some diversity between areas with a nice stretching and floor exercise place, and a superior free weight section. It fits my needs for a combination of aerobics and heavy plate upper and lower body workouts. On the negative side, the locker room (mens) is small and the showers are poor. They are currently redoing 2 of the 4 showers so this should help if they can get some temp control on the water. My biggest complaint is the members don't rerack their weights. Re racking is not enforced by the management and they don't really have convenient weight racks spread out in the plate area. The gym has improved since I have been a member (1.5 yrs) and it looks like they continue to make things better and are open to suggestions. The trainers seem busy and look like they are providing professional training sessions. Even though I have rated this a 3 it is probably the better gym in the area.

It’s also really nice that Blaine keeps a solid stock of good supplements onsite. There’s a lot of different machines and free weights, too. I’m very happy with my experience there.

Great experience with this gym. Clean and organized. I was really impressed with how everyone handled themselves during busy peak hours. Blaine Horwath the general managers and he goes above and beyond to take care of new clients. All the staff working makes it a point to use your name when you come into the gym. Overall just a great experience 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to get into working out or the seasoned lifter getting ready to compete.

If you want a gym that has your back and truly cares about it’s members.. this is the place to go. I recently had an incident that occurred at Powerhouse (nothing major). I made it clear that I wanted the issue to be dealt with and resolved, and they did everything correct to make me feel comfortable and resolve the situation. They didn’t take anything lightly, and they made it clear that they care about their members, and truly listen and want to take action when it needs to be taken. I have never once had the feeling that they push issues to the side or turn their head, and I really appreciate that. Blaine is a great manager (?) and was super helpful. On top of all of that, the gym is open 24/7, including holidays, and has a plethora of equipment. I definitely will be renewing my membership when the time comes.

Maybe it's my fault I don't have headphones but seriously who wants to work out to Katie Perry and Fergie? I've complained to the staff but everyday I come here it's the same songs in a row. Dark horse, fireworks, and last Friday night played everyday in a row. Give me a break. Not to mention the tanning bed is always a mess when I go in there. Napkins all over the floor and the same gum wrapper has been sitting in the floor for three months. Really considering going somewhere else when my membership is up.

Joined up because several of my friends were already members, now I know why. Everyone, members and staff, are very friendly and knowledgeable. The convenience of purchasing energy and protein supplements with your card on file is a definite plus. Plenty of space between machines and treadmills. Even when the place is really busy, you can work out without feeling crowded. Would definitely recommend to friends.

When this gym first opened, I loved it. Lately they have been constantly removing equipment that I love to use at the gym and I have actually began visiting and thinking about canceling my membership and joining somewhere else. They are not a 24 hr gym and I can live with that although many gyms are now 24 hr gyms but they have been taking out equipment that has set them apart from other gyms. I love the monthly price, however if the gym can't give me what I need to get the job done then I don't really need to be a member of that gym. They have expanded the crossfit area and taken a lot of space from the gym. This is unexceptable because I don't like or use the crossfit area any way and most of the time there is only a few people in that area at a time. I hope they can't get a handle on things and get back on track, because I really like the gym, just not so much lately.

I am huge fan of this place for a variety of reasons. Adequate machines without feeling like a globo gym. A lot of their barbells are rogue which is awesome. They have bumper plates including rogue and hi-temps. They also have 2 strips of turf and sleds and 1 prowler which is awesome. I've been going here for about a year and there has only been a handful of times I felt like it was a little too busy for the space. They also sale supplements and generally anything in a tub is much cheaper than online so if I'm wanting pre-workout I prefer to buy it here. Their protein brands are priced well too, but they do not carry the specific one I buy. They only do 1 style of class which is like a functional fitness thing - I don't care for classes so this had no weight on my review. They are also 24/7 which is nice though they do lock the room with one of the turfs and has bumpers and fuctional stuff - this has inconvenienced me a couple times but not enough to effect review.

Thanks Nick. Nick took them time to explain everything today. About fees, times, cost, and if I could put my partner on my membership. He was upfront and honest about everything. I feel like a second class citizen at my gym that I go to now. When i asked them if my partner could join the gym? He said (that not all places are equal) I told him to stop talking before I said something I didn't want to regret. We have been together for 12 years. he asked what if you break up. Don't straight people do that. They are just rude. He said it loud enough that everyone could hear it and just kept talking about it. Club 24/7!! All in the past. Nick let me know that they would be more then happy to let my partner join on my membership. The other gym lost my business. Nick was very nice and so were the other trainers/employees. So, in closing I just want to say thanks to everyone there. You guys were great and I look forward to going in the morning.

I started going here about a month & 1/2 ago. I had gained some weight and was VERY uncomfortable with myself. Before coming, I had never gone to a gym because I found them to be intimidating. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. They took the time to sit down with me, figure out my goals and connected me with a personal trainer, (Danielle). Danielle made me feel right at home and by my second visit, I felt as though I had been coming to Powerhouse my whole life. In 30 days, I see a noticeable difference and am well on my way to reaching my goals. Danielle always gives me her undivided attention, always keeps her eyes on me to ensure proper form and gives me the kind of encouragement I need to keep going when I feel I can't go anymore. She is amazing and I can't say enough great things about her! The only problem I have seen is that the equipment doesn't get cleaned often. I know they have a cleaning crew that comes in every night to clean, but there is just gathering on the bottom of equipment, paper towels and bottles left on machines for days. Other than that, the establishment is clean. The restrooms, showers, fitting rooms and general areas are kept clean and stocked. I am so glad I decided to give Powerhouse a try! And even more happy that they connected me with Danielle! Definitely a gym that makes you feel at home.

I've always wanted to join a gym, but never really got around to it. Then one day my friends introduced me to Powerhouse and it's been pretty cool so far. Nick is super down to earth and he'll work with you and make sure that you're satisfied with everything. There is plenty to do once you step through the doors, and enough equipment to keep you occupied during each session. I haven't tried out every single thing just yet, but it looks like I'll be occupied for a long time. Don't just take my word for it; come see for yourself.

I asked if he was trying to start a fight and he backpeddled with a myriad of excuses for why he was harassing me. I don’t like being harassed. If you tell me the rules and I say “ok”... there’s no need to get sassy and say “if you don’t want to follow the rules you don’t have to come here!” Hey, i get it. People usually get away with behavior like that. But I personally will not tolerate anyone trying to play Drill Sergeant. The gym is otherwise decent

Best gym in Huntsville! I love how spacious it is with plenty of racks and benches for high volumes of people. The staff is awesome. Tends to be pretty busy. Slowest times are early before six and after 9:30pm.

I didn't agree to this transaction, I didn't sign for this transaction; I wasn't told about this transaction...isn't that the definition of theft. If you need a gym that you can truly call home, this is it. I always heard that Powerhouse was the place where the best of the best worked out, that turned out to be correct but not in the way you’d think. It’s true that Powerhouse Fitness is full of very strong, motivated individuals but it’s their genuine kindness that makes this gym the best. I became part of the Powerhouse/Precision family a little over a month ago and I have been met with smiling faces and handshakes from everyone in the gym. Child care is a bonus, and I don’t have to second guess the care my children are given. Another bonus- hand sanitizer stations and a clean environment 24/7. Hands down, best gym in Northern Alabama by far!!!

I am on a national touring production, having stayed in over 80 cities in 30 some states. Mostly staying at hotels, I have seen the ups and downs of fitness centers/ gyms. That said, this is one of the best places I have been to while on the road. The facility is large, up-to-date, and, most importantly, clean. I'm so glad my hotel had a deal with them. I met one of the managers, Nick, who noticed that I was new. He took the time to get to know why I was in town and what I was doing for my workout. He told me about the group workout plan and it sounds like a great way to keep motivated, stay in shape and meet some good people. I highly recommend this gym and, if I ever get to return to Huntsville, I know that I will stop by.

I've been to a lot of gyms in the Huntsville/Madison area. Powerhouse is by far has the friendliest staff. Blaine and Sara always great you when coming and leaving the gym.The personal training staff is always will to help with any fitness questions that you may have. Powerhouse has a wide rage of cardio equipment from the treadmill to the spin bikes. Powerhouse and several cable machine, free weights, dumbellls, barbells, and weighted machines. The teo functional area are great for any type of HIIT your are trying to do. Overall this is a great gym to be a a member of.
