The service was quite good, but that's not what set this place apart. The setting was quite comfortable, but that's not what set this place apart. The steak, jalapeno poppers, and mashed potatoes were all very good, but those are not what set this place apart. The best creme brulee I have ever had is what set this place apart. So I guess you could say that my time at Purple Sage just keep getting better and better as the meal progressed.

Food at the Purple Sage varies from month to month based on staff Golf Course is extremely expensive and four members even though a million dollars out of Evanston taxpayers money goes to keep it up and operating definitely off the beaten path

Course layout has lots of ups and downs but is still a very forgiving course. Driving range. Two practice greens. Very nice course. Reasonably priced. Well maintained considering climate, season length and altitude. Pro shop staff is friendly and helpful. Very popular junior golf program. Full service bar and restaurant. Some of the best food in town. Fun time.

I’ve been playing at the Purple Sage my whole life and I still have yet to find a course as unique as this one. Holes 12, 13, and 18 are iconic. The course is in the greatest shape I have ever seen it. To say that “the Purple Sage Golf Course is hidden gem” is an under statement. Prices are super reasonable and they just got new carts. With 6 different tee boxes golfers of all ages and skill levels can have a great time. The friendly staff even provides a great Jr. Golf program during the summer months. Even taking into account the short Wyoming golf season, the Purple Sage exceeds expectations every year in regards to both Pro-shop and grounds keeping duties. With country club condition at a municipal course price, you are guaranteed an entertaining and memorable round of golf.

Purple Sage is a jewel for Evanston WY. With a friendly staff and somewhat challenging course it offers something for golfers of any level, very reasonable fees too. It also has one of my favorite restaurants in Evanston WY with one of the best steaks I've ever had at a reasonable price. Great place to book a tournament, just play a round of golf or stop for a great lunch or dinner.

Purple Sage is a great golf course with several fun holes. Some of my favorites are #'s 3, 12, 18. With a couple of big elevation changes, this course would be a tough walk. I've played here twice and the first time it was in perfect condition, this last time was a little dry.
