Wow. What a course.
Great experience, awesome.
I was here for the 2017 US Open and thought the golf course was really great. The hills make the course and provided for awesome views of the players.
Great course, outstanding service and excellent food!
Awesome course, spectated at US Open.
Best course I have ever played
Excellent course, tough walking during US Open.
Walked 18 holes with the clubs on the back today. 6.9 miles. Played from the white t-boxes. It was still a lot of course to handle. Crazy!
Gorgeous.
Good view!
Very hilly, but wide open and built for the long ball.
Beautiful course and setting. Players dream
Amazing course we stayed overnight and had dinner everthing including the staff and caddies were 5 star!!
Great course. Overpriced?
Golf is a journey and this is the place to enjoy it
Visited for the US Open 2017. Obviously didnt play the course...YET!!!
This was a PERFECT venue for the US Open. Way above my capabilities to play...but very entertaining to watch the pros.
Gorgeous location in the Kettle Moraine of SE Wisconsin. Impeccable service and top-notch facilities.
Second to none staff, facilities, and amenities. An amazing experience with a wonderful people!
Erin Hills sits amongst gently rolling farmland and woodland to the northwest of Milwaukee. Erin Hills is one of a number of high-profile public-access "retro-links" courses to hit the headlines in recent years. Although its peers (including the likes of Whistling Straits, Arcadia Bluffs, Chambers Bay and Bandon Dunes) are all scenically located oceanside or lakeside, the absence of a waterside setting doesn't detract from the pleasures and challenges of Erin Hills.
Great course.
Greens are spectacular, very true. Fair golf course. Beautiful scenery.
Definitely the best course in the state of Wisconsin
Spectacular course, great facility and truly amazing caddies (thx Collin and Alex!) . Enjoyed more than Straits
Great golf course and good views for the US Open
A slice of Wisconsin farmland turned into golfing megaplex. It feels larger than life bc the 7800yd+ is larger than life, walking only ads insult to injury. If you love golf, watch the final round of the 2017 US Open (or JT’s 63) then play Erin Hills, you won’t be disappointed
Awesome and awesome experience
This was back in 2015, way before the '17 open. It was a wonderful experience. A wide open course that can be punishing when one misses their shots. Challenging terrain, tall grasses, difficult pin placements. Listen to your caddies. They will make your time spent all the more enjoyable.
Amazing golf course! One month after the Open and the course is in incredible shape!! Perfect day on the links!!
Tough course to play even with a caddie because it's about a 7 mile walk up and down hills that are natural. The course was great, but be prepared for the walk. I found that it affected my game negatively after about 15 holes. Do it while you are young!
Beautiful golf course. It plays very long, and there are a ton of hills, but the grounds are well kept, and it should be on the bucket list of any golf enthusiast!
Wonderful time .
Visit before the start of next week's tourney. Played here last year. Awesome course, great staff.
Nice golf course only no trees for shade :/
I had the opportunity to play Erin Hills twice in high school for the Lake Country Charity Invitational. If you don't know, it's a great tournament for a great cause that routinely raises thousands of dollars for the MAAC fund. There really couldn't be a better course to host a tournament for such an important cause. Unfortunately the first time I played the tournament, it was about 35 degrees out with 15-25 mph winds and a driving rain and the round got called after about 10 holes. That year I started on the 4th hole and I was in the process of playing the 14th when it got called. I won't lie, the weather made things miserable but the course made it probably as enjoyable as a round of golf can be in those conditions. The year after that, however, we got pretty much the best conditions possible for April in Wisconsin which allowed the course to be experienced in its full glory. I tend to play my best on links style courses and managed a 76 in my first full round on the challenging layout despite 4 three-putts. I'm looking forward to trying to qualify for the Wisconsin State Am there this summer
Best course in Wisconsin, and it's not really even close. I'd recommend a caddy as it definitely adds to the experience. Lots of cool stories about the original layout. The ninth hole is one of the best short par 3s in the world, and 15 one of the best short 4s. My only qualm with erin is the affordability, but I understand from a business perspective that they don't necessarily want more play if it might sacrifice conditions. An all-day or twilight rate maybe once a month would be a great way to get more locals and golf enthusiasts to embrace it even more. But all in all a wonderful golf experience, golf as it is truly meant to be.
This is a very nice course. Its also a VERY long walk. The course itself i would put slighly below the straits, but the caddies and service, awesome! They ultimately put it above whistling for me. I will take a round here over any in Wisconsin. Just be prepared to walk a long ways.
Excellent course, service and room in the lodge
Awesome golf course.
Spectacular!!!!
Fabulous Place
Awesome. Very organized.
Challenging golf course in rural setting. The 2017 US Open was held at Erin Hills. The cost per round is significantly higher than in just about any other course within 25 miles.
cool place, a bit expensive though
Stay and play the US Open course. Great people here
Amazing course, wonderful hospitality and we had a great time!!!!!
Beautiful golf course... Period. Bring your A game.
These guys are great
Fantastic design,Course will be a great US Open venue. Some say too difficult and a tough walk I totally disagree.I found the course to be very playable,I also made my first Albatross on 14 ! Caddies are also 1st class.
Erin Hills was in great shape. I believe we got one of the last tee times available before the U.S. Open Next year! Very cool course, I would say the buildings and barns give it a unique feel. If you can afford to stay in one of the cabins on the grounds, do it! Also with Holy Hill in the background it has the perfect backdrop for beautiful pictures. The course is great, not the best I have ever played but a top 10 for sure. It depends on the wind and the tees, a scratch golfer can shoot 70 or 90 depending on how it is set up for the day and the conditions.
best 7169 Co Rd O
U Should Open was great
This place is BEAUTIFUL!
Attended the US Open here. Beautiful grounds. The USGA really put on a quality event at this course. Hope to see more events held here.
Played here before and went for the US Open. Amazing course and in great condition.
A great place to hold a US open.
Awesome time. Felt like a bag piper was following me through the fescue!
The US Open was great!
2017 US Open Golf Championship
Great 18 holes of golf at Erin Hills today. Hole 18 plaque where Justine Thomas hit a 307 yard shot to the 18th green on his way to an Eagle in Saturday's round in the US Open - 2017.
Pricy and snobby.
The most beautiful golf course that I have been to with well regulated grass
Attended US Open. Course looked amazing. Fescue looked well manicured, with no weeds.
Beautiful destination golf course in a perfect setting.
This is where they held the 2017 US Open. It is a challenging course. The rough is fescue and penalizing. It is walking only, no push/pull carts. There are forecaddies that can make it a unnerving to swing away, as they sometimes don't see your shot coming. It isn't too long a course from the blue tees, but you need to hit straight and get some carry. White tees can give you lots of birdie opportunities. Bunkers can be tough. Most tee boxes are elevated, and the microwalk up can get your heartbeat up. Most folks don't seem to like to carry their clubs here.
It was a awesome experience watching and working the US .Open
What a gem of a course to host the 2017 U.S. Open... The course is in fantastic shape but if you get an opportunity to play this course...STAY OUT OF THE FESCUE
Beautiful and challenging course.
Big time golf course and a place to get away from it all! Playing the 2017 United States open venue is a challenge but from the moment you pull into the property a pleasure. Exceptional caddies, great food, a staff that excudes knowledge and clearly love where they work. They take a pride in this place that is hard to find at world class golf facilities. The conditions are beautiful, the greens are smooth , wide fairways and goegeous golden fescue! So happy to have a fescue rescue, the signature drink of the course!
Was awesome to play right after the open. Stands were still up festu was long. But man very long course to walk. Thank God caddie required
Best golf experience and service
Incredible golfing experience
VERY BEAUTIFUL COURSE PLACED REALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. HAD A FUN TIME WALKING THE COURSE DURING THE US OPEN
My new favorite course in the USA. Amazing. Most words are unable to describe it awesomeness. Caddies were fantastic and didn't mind that I smoked pot while I played.
Logo ball design is Poor
Excellent - great course - a challenging course well
An amazing course and one that should not be missed if you can play it. The golf experience is fantastic and the club has a unique feel. It is not an easy walk as the course has a lot of hills but if you have a chance to play it then make sure you do. Great course!
Dont get me wrong, this course is great. They have a tremendous practice facility. The course itself is big, conditions great, layout awesome (very difficult walk). The caddie deal wasn't worth it to me, just didnt really add anything to my round or experience other than the labor of carrying the bag. I just think this course is too expensive for what it is and not worth it imo. Whistling straits just has more of a special feeling about it, more of a spectacle. I think $175-225 is the correct price point for this course.
Hilly with no trees. Tough course!
Fantastic property, great views, no trees so wear sunscreen!
Beautiful course
Do this at least once in your lifetime.
Peaceful and serene, beautiful!
One of the best courses I've ever been too. Caddies were extremely nice and supportive. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants a unique golf experience.
Just beautiful. Had no idea how huge it is. Except for the mud after the rain, perfect. (After being in the wash machine, my tennies came out great. All the employees were so friendly and helpful. Food in the Concessions tent delicious. Great experience.
$295 for a round + caddie is robbery
It was an awesome experience to be a part of a championship such as the US Open.
I spent a week volunteering at the US Open and had a great time watching the best golfers in the World play in their most significant tournament of the year for the first time ever in Wisconsin!
Great experience from start to finish. It's always a treat to play and test your game where the pros play. One tip to anyone looking to go play....HIRE A CADDIE! This is a walking only course, and I decided to carry my own. There is constant elevation change, which makes for a great test of golf (uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies), but a very challenging walk if you're carrying your own clubs. I was a little overmatched :) But would happily play again with a caddie!
Great course, looking forward to the US Open here
A beautiful course that clearly presents a challenge. It was a great place to watch the US Open!
Wonderful place!
Absolutely beautiful course.
Great course. Awesome place to go to outside of Milwaukee with great hospitality.
Great golf course to show off the beauty of the Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin. Generously spaced viewing areas to comfortably accommodate twice the fans that were present on the weekend of the US OPEN.
Incredible course, beautiful setting
An amazing golf course.. Bucket list!!
Great golf course had blast it
This course is the real deal. Fantastic layout, incredible conditions and wonderful caddies. The clubhouse and facilities are world class. I have traveled all over and played at many amazing clubs and Erin Hills is in the top 1%. I would tell you that it is a tough test of your skills and a long walk.
Attended US Open. Beautiful course.
Saw the us open here... Great course and venue... smooth action all day.
I haven't played this U.S. Open course yet but the scenery is awesome. Mostly glacier shaped landscape with lots of flowing fescue. Bring a camera.
Had a fantastic time at the US open is a gorgeous course and can't wait to play
Incredible course and experience. Add it to your golf bucket list to play
Experience of a lifetime.
Beautiful link style course.
Gorgeous venue! Challenging holf.
Outstanding US Open
Beautiful golf course. Professional caddies with great advice on playing each hole. Great bar and food options. Worth every penny!
Incredibly challenging. Incredibly expensive. Great bar to forget about how high you shot.
Must stay and play!!!
Just a visit. Unable to play.
Absolutely loved being on this course for the US Open. I wish I could afford a round of golf there. So much for Lang's vision of a $50 round on a championship. At least Brown Deer is a championship course which is affordable for the average golfer.
Went for the US Open and had a very enjoyable experience.
Okay course. I will say this, it's not a very picturesque course.
The course is one of the most beautiful you will walk and challenging to play. Great Caddies who know it well. It's a PGA experience and privilege to play!
Beautiful course. The US Open was an unbelievable event. Great job by all involved.
Erin Hills is simply a beautiful parcel of Wisconsin. I was here for a practice round during 2017's US Open Golf Tournament and I walked nearly the entire course. Even with many people present, birds could be heard chirping and the views -- often including distant Holy Hill (roughly 3 miles away) -- were gorgeous. I particularly like how the course developers relished and saved the native landscape (somewhat). I haven't golfed here yet -- I think my crude skills would dampen my enjoyment of the place -- but to just be out here is quite magnificent.
A long walk
Beautiful course. Excellent facilities.
A beautiful track. Very enjoyable.
What a course! Great caddies.
Amazing course that's challenging but fair if you play the right tees. Breathtaking views, amazing food and great customer service. Caddie program is full of knowledgeable professionals that make the whole experience amazing.
I'm high on the tall grass! Fescue....no, fescyou.
Walked the course for the US Open. Beautiful!
Great place to watch Golf...US Open!
Everyone here is so friendly. Beautiful rolling hills in the heart of the Kettle Moraine left by melting glaciers. This must be God's Country, he even left it in the shadows of the Holy Hill monastery.
A great venue for the US Open. Can't wait to play the course.
Incredible course. Amazing views when golfing in the evening. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Caddies make a difference, don't go without one. Enjoy this 2017 US Open course. Cheers.
Great place to host a US Open Tournament
Fabulous venue for the US Open Golf Tournament. Needed to provide more spectator seating grandstand options.
cool course
Neat course. Didn't play it, but attended US Open
Was a beautiful course when I visited for the 2017 US Open. Rolling hills with prairie grasses line each fareway. Many sand traps throughout the course.
This course was the site of the 2017 US Open. It is a monster of a course that will definately challenge the best of golfers. If your looking for a flat course, this one is not for you. If your looking for a course that will offer you beautiful views while challenging your golfing skills... this is the place.
Excellent golf course! In great shape. Fairly high priced though if you are taking a caddie and they do not let you even take a pull cart. Odd. Food pretty good, but VERY expensive. Would go back, but only with a significant price drop...Staff very friendly, stayed overnight, great spot.
Spectacular grounds and setup
My only issue was a struggle at concessions at the open....beautiful course
Great course. Pricey
Outstanding service, beautiful course.
Clean and green. Amazing place and service!
Absolutely stunning grounds to walk around during the US Open.
Awesome
Phenomenal course and lodging. Course is tough but fair even for a 15 handicapper. Menu and wine list are great. Everyone on staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating
Just amazing. Course if fun yet accessible for public players... just an epic time here
Gorgeous setting, challenging layouts, unique use of rough.
They have a great food management, very good chiefs and great service.
