The course is very nice with great views but not worth 350 in my opinion. I also thought the customer service was pretty lousy. The Ranger was rude to our group for being 5 minutes behind pace. Overall it was a very nice course but very expensive. For the money, straits is much better!

Blackwolf Run (River Course): Few golf locations deliver anything quite like the "Kohler experience." Located close to the Wisconsin city of Sheboygan, you will find four impressive Pete Dye designs, owned and run by the Kohler Company. Whistling Straits, with its two lakeside links courses, often steals the headlines. But a little way inland, close to the resort accommodations, is Blackwolf Run, home to the also impressive River and Meadow Valleys courses. In terms of inland golf courses, this is an example of Pete Dye's work at its best.

Visited Blackwood run for Dinner, got much more than just food. As a southerner, it is difficult to find food that compares to home cuisine, but Kohler, Wisconsin delivers and Blackwood is the Piece de Resistance! Impressive service only compliments that presentation of marvelous food. Ambiance abounds from the rustic dining room that sports a most incredible view. Blackwood alone is worth the departure from the normal vacation destinations.

We decided to go at the last minute and had a late dinner. We were surprised how very few people were there. Maybe they eat dinner early in this area? We are so used to Chicago late night dining. We were seated right in front of the fireplace which was nice and toasty warm. Our meal was good but not remarkable. With that being said, dining earlier so that you can appreciate the sweeping views of the golf course, is the key to enjoying this restaurant.

I love Blackwolf Run! Keep in mind this is the best course in Wisconsin besides Whistling and Erin Hills. This is a fantastic place to play, both the River and the Meadows course are great. I spray the ball a bit (alot) so I prefer the meadows course. When you are here do yourself a favor and buy one of their house made granola bars (or 10 of them). I sometimes stop here just for those. They will change your life (or at least 5 minutes of it).

Both the river and Meadows courses were in great condition and the staff was superb. The rivers was definitely the more challenging of the two courses with a lot of elevation changes and challenging tee shots. Both courses provide a nice challenge... Keep it in the fairway, the rough is thick.

lovely huge wood cabin with a very cozy atmosphere and amazing comfort food. definitely the best of the available restaurants at kohler, as well as the best price to quantity ratio. highly recommend blackwolf over the other, fancier options at kohler. look forward to coming back here on my next visit here.

36 holes of some of best golf in the world. With that said it is too pricey for most golfers. If you want to treat yourself of have between $200-$300 to spend on a round it is a great course. Blackwolf is a probably the best course I have ever played but the cost keeps me from giving 5 stars. Even if you have the coin to play the Kohler courses I'd recommend checking out The Bull which is less than a mile away and in my opinion a much better value for your golfing dollar.

Amazing course, incredible value to be had here in the spring and fall. The entire property is such a special place . I would argue if played at 6800-7200 this is the hardest course in the state. The river course has such smooth greens, and spectacular holes often complimented by fly fisherman in the fall! The restaurant is great and the golf shop has the best gear. The blackwolf run logo is classic!

A group of us did a golf trip that included a round at Wistling Straits and Blackwolf Run. We golfed the Straits the first day and Blackwolf the second day. I wasn't impressed with Blackwolf. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice course. Though not one that could demand the type of money it costs to play here. The Straits makes Blackwolf Run look like a local public course.

A great course where the season is short. The sheboygan river decorates most of the holes making this a pretty place to play. The fall colors are spectacular. This is a challenging course that has hosted a number of prestigious women's and senior professional events.

Scary good... and scary hard!!! Beautifully designed and maintained. Many holes have multiple routes to the green... hard and harder. Slope rating is thru the roof. Beautiful terrain and forests, lots of water to view (and suck up your balls)? It must played at least once by all golfers. Make reservations well in advance... they don't crowd the course so getting a tee time is challenging.

Highly overrated. Course is nice but not worth the $. There are a lot of options in the Midwest that are as good or better at half the price. Go play Erin Hills, Arcadia, Bay Harbor, Tullymore, Olympia Fields, ..... Greens were quick but beat up pretty bad.
