This Golf corresponds to the category of Public golf course.
We were given one last hole to play before turning the cart in for the evening; it was rapidly becoming too dark to continue playing. When we went to return the cart, the cart manager angrily yelled at us for bringing in the cart so late, despite us having been given the go ahead to finish playing the last hole. I wilon't be going back there any time soon.
Good course, kept up nice. Pace of play is good and it's been around forever!
Clubhouse has excellent food (catering too) and my golfing friends say the course is pretty good & get reservations for early morning tee time
Great course at a great price!
Good muni golf course. Lots of elevation change and fairways with slope. Good test and fair for regular players.
シアトルのパブリックはリーズナブルな点で全て素晴らしいと思いますが、個人的にジャクソンパーク、ジェファーソンパークと比較して一番コース的には好きです。
My favorite municipal course in Seattle with a fun layout on a steep hill that provides some challenging green locations.
Good course, i played poorly
Once you get to holes 13 and 15 on the back 9 you see my favorite view of Seattle. For a public golf course this place is really great. Price breaks late in the day, great views of Seattle, a nice mix of tough and easy holes and if you play a round of 18 (and keep your receipt) you get a free hotdog halfway through.
Have been playing here for years, what a great track! Long and challenging, well priced. The views on the back 9 are incredible!
Golf course in decent shape despite being unpderstaffed underpaid and micromanaged.
Great course with beautiful Seattle skyline scenery on the back 9. Great afternoon rates, even on weekends. No houses in play, which is nice. Really fun course, with a decent amount of challenges. I'll definitely be back to play again.
Great tournament, great time
Excellent day!
Fun course for summer
Good value
Very good golf course -- not as good as Jefferson, but mack cheeseburgers and a hot-ass tattooed bartender!
Very normal golf course. Nice view. When I played , was aeration. So greens was super not good to play it. Except that fine:)
If you happen to be in Seattle and feel like enjoying all that Seattle golf has to offer, West Seattle municipal course is for you. Not only is the West Seattle course sport some of the best views and surroundings in the area, the course is very well maintained for a northwest public course. Beware, this course is difficult. Not only is it hilly, it has consistent par 4 and 5s. So keep that in mind when you set your tee time. (Check out the Inter bay golf course for a more executive style Seattle golf course).
Who needs a golf course?
Just went to a night time event, appeared to be a bit run down.
I've had great experiences playing here at West Seattle Golf Course. It is very well maintained and has beautiful views. However, today's experience was different. I appreciate marshals keeping the play moving along, but I do not appreciate being called a liar. If one does not have a list of times and names of groups, then you do not just assume. It was a very busy morning and we were all being patient. It would be nice for the staff to show the same consideration.
One of the best kept secrets in West Seattle. Great food and drinks and the patio is amazing in the summer time!
Always a great course to play in morning before the heat picks up and great views of down town Seattle!
Stunningly maintained course. In great shape. Tough greens. And I love that early bird pricing!
Fun course. Awesome views of downtown Seattle!
Great course lots of fun great views , well maintained even after all the rain . Great staff
(Translated by Google) There are a lot of difficult courses. The first half is fine, but the second half is inclined so the ball flows down a lot. But it was fun and well maintained. (Original) 조금 어려운코스가 많아요. 전반은 괜찮은데 특히 후반은 경사가 심해서 공이 많이 흘러내립니다.. 그래도 재밌었고 관리도 잘 되어있네요 굳!
Great course, great views, nice staff, good prices.
Nice course that presents good challenges. Friendly staff and excellent views from a couple of holes.
Great for walking, golf course in good shape
very hilly and the par 5 's are very hard because of the very thin layer of grass making for a bad surface to hit the ball.
Challenging
I might be a little bias because I've golfed this course more than probably any other course but it's because I love it so much. I've played the front nine probably 3 or so dozen times in the last three years. Twilight golf in the summer is a super great deal and you can usually get in a full 9 before it gets dark if you're walking (14-15 probably if you have a cart). The second hole has one of the coolest views of the Seattle skyline and holes three and seven have you teeing off over gullies. Hole four can be a little tricky with the dog leg left. You tee off going up hill and if you don't hook it a little you run the risk of going into hole five. Overall, I love this course. I'm biased, but then again, most people are about their favorite courses. Best 'bang for your buck' around.
It was pretty dry, but the greens were pretty bumpy
Golf fun
Don’t golf here. The greens are irrigated and you still have to pay full price. Never again. Terrible golf course.
Fairways were a little dry in places but that is expected this year. Greens were in very good shape. I had to accept responsibility for the missed putts because the green ran true.
Love it! Havent played there in awhile, but I have a fantastic time Everytime for a reasonable price
This is the best city golf course in Seattle. Well maintained greens, beautiful setting, and a fun course that is the perfect amount of challenging. You also get a complimentary hot dog at the turn.
Hands down the best of the Seattle Municipal courses. But also a great course in general. Fun, challenging, and great views.
Great course for being smack in the middle of the city. Fun and challenging course but gets a little repetitive on some holes.
The course is beautifully laid out and well maintained...the greens were exceptional the other day we played. Terrific view of the city from the back 9...helps when you're trudging up and down the big hills.
Course was in great shape for this time of year.
Fun course. Nice views of the city on the back 9. Typical muni from a manicure perspective (not great). Great value.
Great value and it's well maintained
Great course. Expect to start late and finish late. I have yet to get through the course in less than 4 hours.
Beautiful view of the city course in good shape
Great course. Great service. Friendly staff
This course doesn't have a driving range so my expectations were low, but once I got out on the course the holes are challenging but fair. It was a pleasant SURPRISE.
Nice putting and chipping green
West Seattle Golf Course is easy to get to. If you put it in your GPS it will get you there no problem. It’s got a lot of parking and there are grounds crew who walk around the lot frequently. The pro shop has a lot of good stuff in case you forgot items needed. The lodge itself has a lot of history there and they have vintage pictures and trophies pretty cool. Well worth the drive out and greens fee. Course is designed well and has a past in golf history. I found it by my work when I was helping open a new store. Practice facilities are cool too.
Loved playing West Seattle. Beautiful course. Challenging, and fun.
couple nice views. course is manageable for beginners. dont forget the free hot dog.
Beautiful course.
Love this course. Enjoyed playing golf yesterday and looking forward to playing again next Monday. $43.00 will get you a round, a cart and lunch !!!
One of the best public courses in Seattle with a great view of the city skyline from a couple holes on the back nine. The day we played there were scattered showers, so we got around the course quickly and had a great time.
Awesome golf course!
public course with great views of the city and rainier, affordable
Good view
Baked fairways and slow bumpy greens. Not what this course is known for. Very hard scoring with these conditions
LOVE public courses. Affordable Prices, and Challenging courses.
(Translated by Google) Difficulty level, fun (Original) 난이도가 조금있는편임, 재미있긴함
Fun municipal and a very walkable course. You won't get into too much trouble while hacking away. Pictured here is #13 par3 190 yards. FORE!
Nice golf course built in 1940. Last five holes very tough. Enjoyed
The golf course is ok. Pretty easy. The holes are lined up to where you get balls coming at you since there are not many trees blocking the greens. Not really worth the hassle going to West Seattle.
One of the best public courses in Seattle with a great view of the city skyline from a couple holes on the back nine. The day we played there were scattered showers, so we got around the course quickly and had a great time.
(Translated by Google) Grass quality is poor but drinks and hot dogs (Original) 잔디 질은 좋지 않지만 음료수와 핫도그를 줌
Great course well maintained although the club house could be better
Total mud pit. Save your money. Rude staff.
Fun layout, but this place is a swamp in the winter.
Very nice golf course that is usually kept in good shape. Nice on blue ski sunny days and one of the best courses in Seattle.
The course is currently water logged and muddy. The greens are soft and slow, but hey, it's January in Seattle. Still had a great time.
Terrific muni track for the price. Interesting holes and challenging greens!
This course was very well maintained for a public course and was positioned well with great views.
Free Mt. Rainier view!
I do love the west Seattle golf course! For me the value is spot on. The front nine has great diversity. The back has very challenging greens.
shot 95 last month
Nestled in the heart of West Seattle, this public course is a decent length course. Love the varying elevation and some tight fairways and some back 9 holes, you get a view of the Seattle skyline. You can walk the course but it can get tiring. I love this course!
Rumors of alligator infestation patently false.
Not the best course by quality... But some amazing views, and when you are having a bad day on the greens - that can help. I definitely consider this one of the better city courses in the Seattle area and would recommend playing it when you have the chance. If I remember - it plays pretty slow.
Great public golf course.
Hole 12! Tough long hole. Elevated green with deceptive spines. Dry in the summer mush I'm the winter. Over all pretty well maintained. I go here every summer.
Beautifully located just 10mine from Downtown Seattle!
Nice course just wrong day out
Can't have enough about west seattle. Golfing is always fun here and I was happy to see a cart person bringing beverages. I will always be back.
This course is great and easy to get to from Seattle proper. Loved the course - great length, good views, fair priced and solid challenge. I will definitely be back!
Only negative of the course is the lackluster final four holes. Switchback straight par 4s.
Over priced because they can be. Not to many flat lies either
Best municipal course in Seattle.
Good track. Very good conditions. Low, low price.
Golf
Great views, well maintained course, challenging slopes, great golf value.
Wonderful views and decent greens and fairways but way too muddy in fall winter and spring when it rains
Best northern golf course that I have ever played. Loving Seattle! Defiantly go here to play.
Course was fun, staff really pushed to get us off the course by 9:00 PM and there was still light to play the 18th.
Close to downtown. Sometimes costing your time on I5 to access, but no big sweat
Had played 30 yrs ago and now realize this is the best of the Seattle public courses and better than most of the others in the 30 miles range of the city.
I give it 4+ stars (could be 5 stars easy). Just passing through Seattle and thought I would enjoy a couple of rounds and decided on West Seattle for the 1st day. the quality of the Course comes out in both the views and in the greens. Spent quite a bit of time chatting with the fellas following the round, shame the Club Membership spoiled a good thing when the City was willing to build a range and renovate the club house... and they fought it. Only two things this Course is missing... a range and a club house that matches the potential of the Course (what are you guys thinking?). Seattle and Tacoma are going to get a lot of visibility over the next couple of years with the Open coming to Chambers Bay, West Seattle Golf Course is a fabulous challenge at a great price... if your in town, hit it! Host course to the 1953 USGA National Public Links Championship and the Seattle City Amateur for the past 20+ years.
Conditions are okay. Can't beat the price for that quality around this area though. Wish they would maintain the overall course a little more because hitting from fairways feels like hitting from hard dirt in the summer. Also, leaves all over the greens in the winter time. Overall a good course to play for the price.
Fun track
Great Staff! Challenging course.
Great views of Downtown Seattle and a fun track
Busy mid day
Fun course! Very frim fairways in the summer. Decent green softness and speed.
The best Municipal course in the City. If you're from out of town, this is a great quick budget oriented option.
Nice course. The best municipal course in Seattle.
Challeging city course at a reasonable price. Pretty water logged in the winter months but plays especially nice in summer.
I don't golf
SLOW PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!! How about 9 minute tee times?
One of the better public golf courses in the Seattle area.
The guys named Chris in the bar was awesome
Not a bad Muni course .. early bird special was a deal.. a few holes had some views of the city skyline.. greens were super fast and your ball would roll for days! I'd come back and play.
Nice place on a sunny day but that day it was wet and cold.
Tough mix of holes
Beautiful Course!
Great view of the City. A good course to play around of golf..
Only drank at the club house. None of the people I was visiting play golf, but they go here for beer I guess.
Always a fun track. Best of the three Seattle Munis. With some money put into the clubhouse and additional funds for more drainage, West Seattle Golf Course would be a standout muni. Lack of driving range is a bummer though.
Fun course, well maintained, friendly staff
2nd time golfing here. Great pace during twilight rate tonight! Got in 9 in less than 1.5 hours walking. Course is in great condition. Rates are good for the area. I wish carts were cheaper.
Overall the course is well maintained. Don't expect to finish in 4.5 hours or less as on a few different holes my group was waiting, up to four groups deep! Something I personally had never experienced in my many rounds of golf. There are also pretty minimal yard markers so a range finder comes in very handy here. You'll find good views, fairways and greens on a nice day here.
Great public course that rivals only molasses in a speed race.
Best muni in the north west.
Great view of Seattle while you play. Fun course and a fully stocked 19th hole.
I think West Seattle Golf Course is the nicest of all of the city of Seattle golf courses. It is Affordable and well maintained and while the clubhouse is a bit shabby the food and drink is good.
Best public course in the city
One of the best municipal golf courses in the area. Challenging well maintained will great view of Seattle port and down town.
Stop on my urban hike. Stadium that's empty...wierd
I have never been here before but I beleive this is a place where you can go golfing if I am not mistaken.
Soggy in late December.
Beautiful views!!!
Great value, views and better than average public course. Free hotdog. Solid
Great course. Good food and one hell of a view.
The course is great, but they stack the groups up and seem to insert new groups at the turn. No waiting for the front 9, but when we made the turn were the fourth group in line to go.
Best Muni course in Seattle
BEST COURSE IN SEATTLE, WET IN WINTER. GOT TO WAIT TILL IT DRIES OUT TO PLAY.
Can't beat the price for that quality around this area though. Fun course, well maintained, friendly staff. Great food and drinks and the patio is amazing in the summer time!
