EDIT: the nice restaurant CLOSED DOWN. Bummer. No restaurant now. Nice course, not too difficult but has some water, a couple of hills but walkable. They just opened a great new restaurant called The Scotch and Vine which is worth a visit whether you golf or not. (August 2016).

You can get some great deals here. It is conveniently located on the west side of Kent. Not badly kept for a muni course where you can play for cheap. Range is nice.

5 somes are not good!! They let a 6some out, we complained and they had them go back to a SLOW 5some!! Ridiculous !!! Learn to run a golf course!! Charles was the marshall! Thanks 3 hours back 9!!!

Riverbed is awesome! Love the Super Twilight walk on green fee. $14 for all the golf you can play before it gets dark. The time it starts varies but month. Winter Super Twilight starts much earlier than in the summer.

My son and I enjoyed this course. The layout is good and flat to walk. We teed off at 4:15 pm on Saturday and it took us less than 4 hrs to play 18 holes.

Very nice public golf course well maintained. The greens were average size and rolling good. But the only thing that needs work is the bunkers. Bunkers should have sand not dirt. Needs work on their bunkers bad. But still a nice public course.

No restaurant or even a snack shack. Huge clumps of grass all over the course from mowing and not removing grass clippings. So big you can lose balls under them. They put a fivesome out on ten while we were on 9 about the make the turn. They get three stars just for being a golf course.

Waited to tee off because group ahead of us was running late..then right after teeing off at hole 1 course Marshall came and told us we were holding other groups up! Total b.s. // dont go on Saturdays unless you pay more to rent a cart and play fast..not a good experience for people starting out.

Good ole riverbend. The playing conditions here have improved drastically and now have been home to many tournaments throughout the year, including the Riverbend Classic which attracts many top-level amateurs. As a public course, you get a good mix of hazards, bunkers and some good doglegs.

I've played 18 holes here several times and feel that this is a great course for beginners as there are few hazards and the fairways aren't super narrow. Personally, I've lost more balls in the trees than water. The location is very convenient, just minutes from I-5. Also, the food at the Irish pub is pretty decent. My only criticism is that the rates here seem high.

Decent track. A little on the shorter side but makes up for it with strategically placed bunkers and trees to punish errant shots. Greens were soft and rolled well. Some golfers apparently don’t like repairing divots on the green, but that’s not the course’s fault. Unfortunately played in pouring rain and had a tough time draining, but seems like it’d be a great course in dry weather. Also, left my range finder on a cart, and an honest employee turned it into the lost and found. Major props on that.

Terrible course (both in upkeep and staff)- definitely won't play again. They had no ice, undrinkable water from the fountains (looked like 1% milk coming out), wouldn't honor their golf now rates that were booked and the course needs 200% more water on the grass. Not to mention, it's in a pretty rough area and they have signs all over saying to lock your car and hide anything inside.

Fun course but was played before the airrated the greens so they were inconsistent at the time. By now I'm sure they are more receptive. Will go back out soon and see how the course is now.

Good course for beginners, not to fancy so you don't feel out of place, recently they didn't cut certain areas of the course so your ball does get lost in the tall grass if hit to far left or right. Regardless, love it. There is a bathroom on the course but typically no hand wash so being sanitizer. Greens are well kept always.

They charge you twice for a cart fee. One cart should be one fee, not charge both people that are riding in the same cart! $15 per person is ridiculous.

Nice little 9 hole par-3 course. I wish it wasn't being closed down and sold for development. The driving range is decent, but seems a tad high-priced. $10 for a large bucket.

Wednesday night is not the best to play cause of leagues. Very slow pace of play. About a 5:30- 6 hour round. Didn't finish so I don't know exactly. Played twilight and people just jump around hole to hole which slows down play. Need to try a more structured day.

This is a very straightforward and nicely maintained and Municipal Golf Course. Very easy to walk given the relative flat nature of the terrain. Tee to green conditions when you played yesterday were in great shape. Now that the restaurant has reopened this is a must play course in the area.

Half Lion Public House has transformed Riverbend into a REAL destination. The restaurant is top-notch. After opening Thursday, the service still has a few wrinkles to iron out. But, I have NO DOUBT, Jason, David, Adam and Matt will only continue to improve this venue!

Great prices for a public course. Layout is flat and easy to walk. Greens are usually in good shape, fairways as well. The only "gripe" is they do a pretty lousy job with the sand traps...

I surprisingly enjoyed this course, with the exception of the crazy amount of bunkers on the course. Oh well, I guess I should learn to avoid them. Course definitely gets busy on the weekends, but that's expected in the summer on a public course. Beware though, this course attracts a ton of hackers. Be ready for people hitting off of your fairway in the opposite direction.
