This Golf belongs to the category of Golf course.
Played the course this weekend. I really enjoyed playing this course. Lots of rolling hills, very quiet, a overall great experience. Playing again this weekend.
Totally a piece of junk coarse, better suited for frisbee golf as there are way to many flags and theres a thing called water so there is grass on the coarse instead of dirt and rocks , horrible greens as well, worse time ever , so pick somewhere else golfers
Great course, well maintained, very reasonable prices.
The course is in pretty bad conditions. Many of the greens are a large percentage of bare dirt. I played it in the middle of May and it played like a course in November. Not worth the weekday rate at this time. I have played it before a few years back and liked I then.
A great course
Fun discgolf course
Went for the disc golf, stayed for the dip in the water hazard. Cold and wet
Looked like a challenging course to play, small clubhouse, but very very nice people that work there
had a great time at horseshoe lake.played disc golf. the staff was very friendly.
Green's are horrible, needs maintainance
Awesome course.
As a disc golfer we went into here with high Hopes, after reading the reviews and seeing potential disdain for disc out there. We made sure to be respectful stood aside to allow playthrough and cheered for ball shots and they cheered for our disc shots. This was a fantastic outing and really enjoyable to have the carts and maintained grounds for play. Yes it is pay to play but with mowed fairways good basket locations and getting to throw a 1k foot hole. Was a fantastic experience. Our round lasted til about 615 and the owner came out to greet us for our turn in and was great conversation. Would recommend this to all players but just be aware you are in a traditional ball golf space so play with respect and courtesy and there shouldn't be a problem. We will be back to help support this and other pay to play courses and help maintain a solid reputation for disc golf. We are all ambassadors of our sport.
Ive been golfing here for years. Used to be a place we would come for 36 or even 54 holes in one day because they have a pretty good deal for multiple rounds. We stopped going so much a couple years ago because it seemed like the course was not being managed very well in a lot of areas. I went there yesterday with my wife and buddy and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff, friendly...the carts, clean and gassed and ready to go...the food, fast and tasty...best of all the course is in great shape! Its not perfect but they are doing a great job and you cant beat the deal. Book a tee-time. You will have a good time. Shane
What a enjoyable golf course to play!
Great course! Friendly staff and adventurous back nine!
I love this place. Well groomed, not crowded, and very pleasant staff
I had one guy tell me different pricing on the phone and then another guy who was overly rude to me and my friend when we got there. we were dressed nicely in polo shirts and nice jeans, but I personally felt uncomfortable because of the way that we were being treated. beautiful course. terrible management edit. apparently this is true to most members of the disc golf community. if you check with disc golf community pages on facebook and other platforms you will see that this is a recurring theme. the owner apparently changes the price on disc golfers on a whim and doesnt follow his online pricing. he also treats disc golfers as though they dont belong. Hopefully this changes because it truly is a beautiful course
We played a tournament there and had a great time. Nice course and friendly staff.
For a beautiful, peaceful, no pressure golf experience, this is the place to be! Love it here.
This is a little known challenging golf course. Not crowded, no pressure to "keep pace with the group in front", just a fun place to play. The prices are in line, if not below comparable courses, and the restaurant is open! We will be back many times.....
Great course definitely not short but a great time.
3.5 stars unique little course. Overpriced for my good. Some tough holes and some short ones. Fairways need some work. Greens are in good shape.
Excellent course conditions and laid back atmosphere. Great value too, a must visit course.
We were up in Washington for a wedding and decided to play 9 holes. Course is very green, and poses quite the challenge if you arent someone who hit's it straight.
$50 for 18 holes. is such a stretch on any course anymore. Let's not discuss Trophy Lake 5 minutes away being much better course, or McCormick Woods being 10 minutes away and much tighter course. There's this dump up the road called Gold Mountain - Olympic...that hosts USGA national events with aspiring pro golfers, or at least elite golfers for their age groups. The cost? $50 on Golf Now. How they can even charge that at HL is beyond me. Had discussion with an employee once and she had a whole bunch of excuses on how they are busy all the time. We had this discussion near the parking lot with all 5 cars within ear shot. I was there on a 2 for 1 on line coupon from a 3rd party vendor otherwise I have stopped playing this course about 3 years ago. It is a fun course to play, but it's not worth $50.If they lowered their price to $20-30 they'd have to beat people away with sticks. For $50 though....go and play anytime you want without the crowds. The crowds are playing the better courses for less money. Last heavy play from me was their $100/4 rounds deal in winter of 2012 I think it was. Please lower your green fees.
Amazing disc golf facility on a diverse golf course. Great staff!
Nice local course. Reasonably priced greens.
Great golf course. People are friendly you can usually show up and play without reservation.
Solid course for the price
Very nice course..
Great course for disc golf. Concrete tee pads were a great addition.
Good times here and the rocks are not nearly as bad as I remember really good golf course
Unfortunately a great track that's suffering. Very beautiful and enjoyable layout. But in need of some TLC for the cost.
Still the same old 'Shoe. There are now a few houses on the course property. There is a disk golf course as well. The greens hadn't been cut in awhile and were slow and bumpy. We used a Groupon which was easily redeemed. Otherwise, this course is over priced compared to other nearby layouts. We had a $4 hot dog at the turn. Overall an okay experience.
Stopped in to ask questions about the disc golf and the golf course itself after a day at work (new to the area); and was accused of not having "big money" to even access the course. If you're hoping for some snide condescension and belittlement, this is your place. I won't come back with clubs or discs.
I purchased a gift card for my fiancé for Valentine's Day, $100, thinking that he could get 2 sessions out of it, based on the prices shown online, or very close to. Sadly, he got barely 1 game out of it. He took my father with him as a new customer to check out the course(he paid for himself) and also took our 7 year old son who came along to just watch Grandpa and Dad golf. Unbelievably, they charged him around $15.00 just to sit and watch(“Spectator Fee”) , we don’t know exactly what the fee was seeing how they did not give him a receipt, but based on our calculations of what he paid and what he got back the $15 seems correct. He returned from what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable golf session with just barely $20 of the $100 gift card and very upset with how he was nitpicked over every charge and that for it to be so expensive not the best service or course. My fiancé is an experienced golfer, who travels for work and has been to golf courses all over the United States and has never heard of a “Spectators Fee” and prices that didn’t match the course or service. He was thankful to me for the gift but will never be returning there again!
Great course. Nice staff.
I was there this morning curious about disc golf. I was belittled by the man working in the pro shop for asking where to start and assuming it was free as most disc golf around the area is. I will never return and I would advise that no one else go here either. Unless you want to be called oblivious to the world and treated like you're an idiot for assuming that using their facility is free. I would have paid if I had been treated like a normal human being from the start but the worker continued to insult my uncle and I asking if we assumed that gas was free and other rude insults to each of us. He lost our service solely on his own by belittling us. I have never been treated so rudely like that by a professional working with a potential customer.
disc golfing at horshoe lake has become one of my favorites......boz
Great coarse, will test your game.
Most fun per dollar
Absolutely love this course. Great prices great course great people
One of my favorite s. Bloody mary anyone?
A little dry for this time of the year. But still a good experience.
If your willing to pay top dollar for course that isn't the best groomed, it's probably because you like the fact that you always get on any time of day and not be held up. However, when you pay top dollar and you get stuck behind large groups of disc golfers that move along the course at a 3rd of the pace, it is no longer convenient or worth it. My suggestion to anyone planning on golfing here this year, would be to call ahead and make sure their is no chance of getting stuck behind a group of disc golfers. Not saying they're bad people, just saying I personally don't have time for a 3hr round to turn into a 6hr round. Otherwise I'll just go to equally priced course 10 mins down the road.
Disc Golfers appreciate the chance to play at Horseshoe Lake Golf Course, The first integrated course in Washington State next to California and a few on the east coast. The course has developed a championship level Disc course for pros and amateurs a like. Disc Golfers are just like Ball Golfers and move at the same pace. Occasionally a Ball golfing group will play slow and that is not much different for all types of golfers. The course management looks forward to the call to Marshall the slow golfers whether they are Disc Golfers or Ball golfers. Disc Golfers only play the front 9 golf holes. (18 for them) The back 9 is clear. We consistently have 4.5 hr rounds or less. Chloe, the critic below, is one of the few complaints so far. So if you get behind slow golfers whether Ball or Disc, give us a call and we will go inspire them to speed it up for you or let you play through.. Check out our Facebook page. We are having fun. You will too. If not, let us know and we will try to cheer you up.
This is a very fun course. Not long but a lot of interesting holes that require some accuracy and some ability to shape the ball to score well. You won't normally lose a ball but you will be chipping out of the trees a lot :-). I found the back nine to be more challenging with more chances to lose your ball and much more elevation change. I only nakaknocked it one star because the greens were in good shape but very slow. Could be the time of the year I have a feeling that it's not always like that. Was a good value whith course price was about $45 with cart. You will want to call because they do have an active disc golf course on the front nine.
This is one of my favorite courses and seeing the course conditions improve tremendously the past year makes it even better. The greens have definitely picked up speed since last year. The prices are as affordable as they get, and it includes a golf cart, the best deal in the area for sure. I will definitely be coming back again. I also attended a golf tournament scramble for a local charity and had so much fun, a great place to raise money for our cause.
Good fun
Horseshoe was awesome like always
Have golfed at this course quite a bit over the last 8, 9, 10 years or so. I can say that the course is in the best shape it ever has been. From the greens, the clean up, the fairways groomed and watered.
Kewl place to play disc golf next time gonna play round of golf
Disc golf here is special and they have carts to rent. The disc golf course plays along with the regular golf course.
Top notch course for both Disc and Ball golf, great clubhouse with a small bar and quick bite items to keep you satisfied and on time.
Customer service was terrible, we were told to rush through our back nine. Disrespectful right off the bat, we did not feel welcome here at all.
Very nice, scenic course
Great shape greens are really nice fairways are all green no hard surface to hit off i will be going back soon and great staff.
Course is on good summer shape
Its good. Me and my dad went to it about a year ago
Wow. The golf course was in great shape. The greens were smooth and I really had fun playing this course. I had to shape a a lot of shots.
Owner is very rude and condescending. Course is fun though.
It's alright if you like golf and disc golf
Delightful
I had a terrible game but the course was fine. Greens were in excellent shape. Pace of play was excellent.
