REVIEWS OF Gold Mountain Golf Club IN Washington

Best golf course around, by far. Great prices, well taken care of fairways and greens. The bunkers, however, are like concrete sometimes, so only 4 stars.

Vincent Kucera

One of my favorite courses in the area. I prefer the Cascade course but both 18's are excellent. Close is kept in good shape throughout the season. You can find good deals online sometimes

Had a great day, Pace of play was just a little slow but nothing to complain about. Well kept course with great views and a good challenge. I walked and it was also a bit of a challenge. Greens were great, Fast. Had dinner in the lounge after and it was very good and price was fair. I would recommend this course to anyone (Olympic) I will return to play the cascade.

Richard Hull

Have been playing since 1985, still my favorite.

G Ellis

Best golf course in Kitsap county. Great food too.

Craig Chisman

Great day with my son

BRYAN CARZOLI

Awesome service and beautiful course. They even went out of there way to return and lost knife that was my fathers. It fell out of my pocket on a couch and to pro shop staff mailed it back to my house in Pullman. I will be back for sure!

Irby Atkinson

Very nice course

Mike Criss

Good environment and atmosphere

Ed Aalvik

The Olympic course is fantastic. Elevated tees with splendid views of the challenges ahead.

Marty Smith

Wonderful golf course, and food

e b

Well kept, professional and the locals always tend to have a spliff handy when you shank a ball deep in the woods.

Marcus Padilla

One of the best golf courses in the state! Absolutely love this place, and there are 2 separate 18 hole courses. Prices are very reasonable. My favorite place to play!

Ted Cox

Great course. Nice country club.

Mary Ryan

Played Oly New Years Day 2014. First 3 holes it was too foggy to see where our drives landed. Smooth sailing thereafter. Dry as usual. No standing water anywhere. Greens were great. Holiday rate was $44. This was not short sleeve weather. Used my hand warmers all day. I did take off my outer vest. I never look forward to the walk from 18 to the clubhouse.

Take2ADeeez DZ

Imo, overrated. I heard so much about this course from everyone else but when I saw it myself, I wasn't impressed....sadly. But locally, none of the courses are that awe inspiring. Not when compared to course found down south like on Phoenix. Maybe next time I'll appreciate it more. But I think I like Mccormick woods better.

Brian Hurley

Nice people, course was pretty good, greens were very, very mushy on the day we went.

Andrea Radford

My niece will be playing there next month for her golf tournament. The family took a drive there from Tacoma to look at the beautiful golf course. The hospitality was great!

Michael Scheftic

Great course. Don't understand $25 each person for a cart. By yourself it is still $25

Nate Potter

Love the Olympic course.

David Tambur

Excellent facility and courses. Cascade course is a fun layout and lots of chances to score well. Olympic course is extremely challenging and a great test for your game. Great practice areas also. Only positives for these course. Its a must play.

Rick Sutton

Attended A benefit for Kitsap Rescue Mission. The purpose of the fundraiser was to raise money for the renovation of the mission building. Gold Mountain golf course is a beautiful location. The dining facility was well decorated. The food was good. The main fund raising function was an auction. The auctioneer from Stokes auction was both fun and professional at the same time. Overall the evening was very entertaining. I'll be back next year!

JK15 A

An all around great golf complex.

Matty Jack

Excellent golf courses and affordable. Best public course in the state

Leslie Gilbert

Have gone to weddings here and many private events. Great experience every time. The brunch and restaurant always has amazing food. Never golfed though.

Brittany Boeckl

Gold Mountain Golf Club was our wedding venue for our 4/14 wedding. It was amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better day. Jesse did a great job of walking us through the process, and answering all of our questions. On our wedding day everything was already set up when I arrived with my maid of honor and parents. The day of event coordinator was SO helpful. She even loaned me her jacket so I didn't get cold/wet traveling to the woods ceremony (we kept our ceremony outside, and bought tents). Gold Mountain also worked my vendors on set up, etc. so I could just focus on getting ready and spending time with my friends and family. They even have napkins with a fold and color of your choice at every seat at the reception. I could not recommend this venue more for being reasonably priced, incredibly helpful, and going above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect for your wedding. You will not be disappointed!

Jessica Kowal

Slow service, prices are a bit high and the salad tasted dirry. The pizza was pretty good. $28 after tip for small pizza, salad and a pop.

chris hoyle

Loved playing this course!

Greg Bruce

Nicely maintained course but I bought a Groupon that include beer and they refused to honor it. I left unhappy at how rude they were.

David Lorengo

Challenging course in great condition.

Richard Starr

Nothing but good things to say about Gold Mountain. Great facility, staff and course. Greens are in fantastic shape. Only need to learn how to read the! Will try to play again.

Brad Wake

LOVE this course. I went in the winter months and it was still maintained very well. Great tracks with just the right amount of straight and dog legs.

Jerry Booth

I would give 0 stars but 1 is the lowest I can give. We called and scheduled a tee time for footgolf the week prior. The person on the phone said my friends and I could start as early as 5pm. We arrived on time and tried to pay for everything but was turned away. Even though we had a scheduled tee time we were not allowed to play. We were told we had to wait because there was still golfers. It could be an hour or longer they wasn't sure (as they all laughed). Horrible way of treating customers. Staff was a bunch of punk kids that didn't care. So we all left and went somewhere else. Personally I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Jeff Boyles

Attended a reception there. Service and food was excellent.

Christopher Jorgensen

Way over rated. The course is great but over booked. Ranger started bothering us on hole two even though there were people right in front of us. The group of five behind us with two guys not wearing shirts was especially awesome for how expensive and well rated this course is.

John McNeilly

Little slow, great course

Kevin Palmer

Clean, fresh, chill place and very friendly customer service.

John Barnett

Great gold facility. Two great courses, definitely not for walkers, lots of elevation changes.

craig doty

Great golf venue, would be five stars except for the disinterest from the Clubhouse staff. Not poor service but, at times, not helpful.

thebrav

Wonderful layout with a nice bar menu and surrounded by the beautiful Port Orchard scenery.

Jeff Lansidel

What a view! Nice Pro Shop with a large selection of products and everyone we very nice and courteous. There are 2 courses and we played the Olympic Course. I am new to golf this year and this course is amazing. I was told it as a professional caliber style course with long, wide rolling fairways with tall evergreens along them. The course was well manicured and a delight to play on.

Clay Donley

We were only there for a banquet, but the place looked really great and the food was good.

Scott Bush

Cascade course is the best value for your money in western Washington. Both courses are well maintained.

Don Purser

Golf was great, we arrived an hour early to have breakfast, it took a half hour to get our so so breakfast so we did not have time to warm up and the food was also not what it was last year

Lauren Small

Absolutely wonderful wedding venue. Reasonably priced, super accommodating, and the staff is wonderful. Jesse and Cheryl made our day beautiful. The food was also wonderful.

Jeff Hofmann

Great condition for the winter time and the rates are fair for this time of the year. Played the the Olympic course multiple times throughout the seasons and never disappointed.

Mark Woods

Great golf course. Large practice areas for pitching/chipping and putting and a driving range. Decent bar food/restaurant.

Charles Koh

Top 5 favorite courses in Washington! It's hosted many national championships and offer a 36 hole championships course. The views, conditions and the layout make this course a must play. The club house also hosts weddings and special events.

AJ

Booked a Friday morning tee time. Played the Olympic course and it was in great shape. Here was the issue...When we pulled up to the course and went to the bag drop, I got out of the car and opened the back of the SUV. The cart boys were just sitting there and watched me wrangle the three bags out of the car...ok fine. Went and parked and came back to check in which was fine. Get my cart slip for two carts and return to the cart boy. He says “take number 16 and 17” and proceeds to sit there and watch me and my wife carry the bags from the drop to the carts. I tip well, there would be no tip given today. There were no scorecards in the carts. Just lacking a basic spirit of service that you get at nice courses. Another issue was the fact that there were two fivesomes in front of us that were not keeping pace. Many in those groups were walking. I love Gold Mountain and I play it whenever I come home, this last experience would make me consider maybe skipping it next time.

Sea Bass

I like everything about this place! Great practice facility, restaurant and pro shop. The nicest and most courteous staff around. And both courses are great layouts and a bargain! Yes!!!

Jessica Kowal

Slow service, prices are a bit high and the salad tasted dirry. The pizza was pretty good. $28 after tip for small pizza, salad and a pop.

james love

Good times

Craig Hanson

Very nice golf facility with 2 championship courses. Views are outstanding.

Anton Preisinger

Wow, what an experience. Beautiful course. Food took forever inside but so long as you're not in a hurry that's not a problem.

Mike Willmes

Enjoyed foot golf. Course was fun.

Brice Bumstead

Best golf courses in the area, both price and condition. Can be easy for beginners and challenging for advanced players depending on which course and tee. Friendly staff. A shout out to "Van", go Packers! :-)

Yvonne Lopez

Fun Christmas party and fantasy casino night. Loved it.

Liam Tonner

I thought the greens were amazing, I thought practice facilities were top notch, I thought the pro shop was well stocked and the staff were brilliant(I had a tee time error that was completely my fault that they rectified for me no problem and got to play both courses for silly cheap). Surrounding nature is quality, you're in a bunch of trees That is all. I don't understand why this complex gets such a crazy buzz about it. Always ranked top courses in Washington whenever that list gets made. No holes stand out to me, no character, just amazing greens. Yes I have played both courses. Honestly, layout and structure is dimmer than a 40 watt light bulb. I do recommend playing both courses so you can say you did, other than that, I'm not getting myself giddy to play it again any time soon.

Sherry Lombard

I don't play golf but the grounds are beautiful for an event. They also have a restaurant and bar.

Rom Candelario

Wonderful place! Mecca of Washington golf. Would've given it more than 5 stars if not for the $$$$$ that they charge.

Sashi rachakonda

enjoyed playing the two golf courses..friendlt pro shop...great restaurant..

Don Michaels

Great course. Well maintained and friendly staff. More expensive than others, but you get what you pay for.

Brian Berend

Great Pro Shop staff. Very courteous and helpful. Course was in excellent condition and restaurant and bar staff were awesome. Would not hesitate to return. Worth the effort to get there.

Steve Stimson

Best value for golf in Washington state. Two courses , great employees, great restaurant !

Carter Collum

Great place. Hard to get to but worth the trip from Seattle. Greens are fast and true.

Michelle Lucas

My friends got married here. It was so beautiful first off. The staff was amazing working around the clock. Everything went seamlessly and the venue is gorgeous!

Bill Fulton

Two of the Most beautiful courses in WA in my estimate and reasonable green price. NCAA tournaments are held here.

Jonathan

My sister got married here a few weeks ago and they went out of their way to make it all go smoothly. They even shut down one hole where the ceremony was taking place. Five stars!

Brandon Na

The best in the northwest. These pictures don't do it justice. There's a distinct reason it is one of the stops for the PGA and also was the home of the 2006 US Amateurs. Reminds a quite a bit of Sahalee CC, but public. So, basically, you can golf a CC at public rates. It is a hike for the folks not on the peninsula tho.

Candace Olson

Great course nice staff. Great pace of play today

Terrence Polen

Fantastic courses. Olympic plays more challenging than Cascade. Both have 5 tee boxes to choose from. Some of the best value golf in Washington.

Rebecca M

Highly recommended for a wedding venue absolutely beautiful, the staff is so helpful, and the food was so delicious. Jesse does a great job answering questions and helping to make your day awesome. The day of coordinators were so helpful as well. I couldn't of asked for more in a venue!

Michael Federkeil

Course was great. We played Salish Cliffs the day before and while I would prefer Salish to Gold, I would gladly play Gold again. Although that opinion is probably impacted by the below. Clubhouse staff was also very good. So why a two? The Course Marshall refused to Marshall group directly ahead of us. He out right said that everyone is hear to have a good time. So he let one group slow up everyone else. At the first hole we were told the expect pace was 2:05 for the front nine, we ended up at 2:40. There was a hole gap after three holes. The group ahead of us was the last of three golfing together. The first two groups had actually all ordered and finished their lunches by the time they showed up at the end of the round. Played morning of July 18th.

Linda Whitt

Restaurant was excellent, the service was great and food was delicious.

Steve Taylor

Great clean course, well groomed.

Erwin Chung

This is a public golf course that cannot be missed if you love nature and love golf. Staff are super friendly and the course is well maintained. There are two 18 holes, and if you only have time to choose one to play, you've got to play the Olympic course. You'll definitely feel like you're surrounded by nature, and the fairways have ample room to play with from the tee off. One thing you've got to beware of are your food items (say bags of chips). Mine was stashed in the open glove compartment of the golf cart and the crows managed to peck it out onto the path while I was on the green.

Rusty Uebel

Great place for lunch

Courteney Magnus

Great stafd. Great course. Good food.

Joe Blow

Best bang for your buck in the county. Two 18 hole courses. Learning center featuring a Driving Range with grass tees (not mats), A dedicated pitching bowl for practicing those touch shots and several putting greens. One on one as well as group lessons from the pros are available to help maximize your practice time.

Grace Cage

Beautiful backdrop setting for weddings but the entrance was far from beautiful and quite confusing. We had to walk thriugh a cafeteria to get the the wedding. Not ideal. But once you get outside....breathtaking.

Jessie P

Great courses. Look for specials, otherwise a little overpriced

Tim Brewer

One of the best the NorWet has to offer.. two good course to play one to make you cry and wanna go home the other to stroke your ego and make ya wanna come back. The Olympic and Cascades play in the order you think you Mind can handle the truth.. Fun for all foods not bad also.

Greg Aaserud

Great golf course with 36 holes!

Jeannette Heffley

Went here for a friend's birthday party. Food was very disappointing. Best part was fruit platter and cheese platter. All meats choices were dried out and overcooked. Grounds are pretty tho. Hope they make improvements on their food.

Glenn Smith

Long course.. tough pins.. is what I like

David Helton

I'm from Florida, course is amazing..... BUT DAMN SLOW. I guess at home it's too hot for this many folks to play. Weather is awesome. 9 holes and I have not broken a sweat. Florida you're soaking wet on the way to play

Matthew McNamara

Great scenery. In great condition. Difficult course but worth playing.

Tim K

Amazing course, what a showcase for the Pacific Northwest! Every detail is meticulously maintained. Take your pick of the 2 courses, the setting feels as if it were carved directly from the wilderness; man's only influence being just enough so as to play golf. Beautiful tree-lined foothills carpet the backdrop and peek-a-boo views of the snow-capped Olympic Mountain Range can be found in various locations throughout the course. Not a house in sight. The fairways are long and wide with a variety of dramatic elevation changes all tapering to hidden green locations well protected with deep bunkers and occasional water hazards. It was a thrill to explore and discover, ultimately resigning our game to the natural rhythm of where the course was taking us.

Mark Richards

A lot of fun to be had here, if you like golf

Jon Swindle

Played here on a random work trip, amazing, hope to get back soon

Trista Shinnick

Great course, fun crew cold beer beautiful wedding locations!! Weddings in the woods are so stunning!!

Jason Cage

Excellent venue to have a wedding. Absolutely Beautiful.

Carli Meurs

Great food! It was snowing so we didn't golf, but the service at the bar was tremendous and the food was super affordable! Aside from the older feel and smell of the carpet and furnishings, it was a great experience. We felt the private country club vibe for sure.

Jerry Miranda

Great place to golf. Military discount available for green fees but not merchandise. Nice restaurant on site. Good menu and good prices. Course is in excellent condition. Walk or ride, it's a fun and challenging course.

Shae Kerzie

Beautifully manicured and challenging courses. Well trained and friendly staff. When it is busy they do a great job rushing people without making them feel "pushed" to make sure that everyone gets to move through their game and enjoy themselves without standing around and waiting. The food is good, the driving range and chipping/putting practice greens are well kept and easily accessible. If you are a beginner, intermediate or excellent golfer - you have to tee off here! You wont regret it!

Michael Barnes

Beautiful course. Each hole is unique. Staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. Didn't feel crowded even when the parking lot is full (might be because of all the weddings they do).

jonathan pizanti

Hit the links on the Olympic course for a charity tournament. It was my first time here and the course was well cared for and beautiful. The clubhouse was nice and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

Gordon Hecker

Most excellent

Dang Vu

One of the prettiest well cared for courses that I have ever played. Greens are immaculate. Rolling hills, great shotmaking course yet surprisingly forgiving. Fees are cheap too, easily a $200+ fee course in SoCal. A definite must play!! Oh, and the carts got some zoom zoom juice. I wouldn't recommend walking unless you have strong legs and good stamina.

Rich Erickson

Excellent place to go golf if you like a good green

Todd Parker

great courses, great staff/service, best courses around

David Ruff

Just parked there

Michael Thomas

Olympic Course Gold Mountain

José Martínez

Good

Kirstin Mellander

The premier golf course in the area!!

Chico Chico

It was ok, still feel a bit high for what it was and no military discount, but it was ok. Staff was amazing.

John Pomerenk

Beautiful course. Well kept. Not much chance of getting bored here. Holes have a wide variety of types. Undulating fairways and fast greens.very nice.

David Helton

I'm from Florida, course is amazing..... BUT DAMN SLOW. I guess at home it's too hot for this many folks to play. Weather is awesome. 9 holes and I have not broken a sweat. Florida you're soaking wet on the way to play

William Miller

One of the higher price courses in the area. But totally worth price. Well kept and friendly golfers.

Leanna Baker
