Beautiful scenery and wide open for bad golfers like myself. I really like this place except for the overly priced yet very weak mixed drinks. Bloody Marys in this case.

This course is a treasure. First round there yesterday - it's in spectacular shape, it's a totally challenging tract, well-bunkered, tight twisting fairways, and greens that really protect par. The sand is top notch. Really well-maintained. Friendly front desk staff. Practice range with grass tees. Under utilized. Took an hour to drive from PDX, 3 hour round, and back in Portland in less than 5 hours! Less time than it takes to play 18 on any of the Portland 90. Walkable. Five Stars!

Beautiful course, majestic views and great service. Greens are relatively new so they don't roll as true as you think but still fast and most of the greens are 2-3 tiered. Lots of elevation change and wind. Tight fairways make you think twice before pulling out the driver and tall grass on every hole will snatch your ball up in a hurry. Club house needs some more work done to it. No draft beer and they only had Coors light and bud light. None the less great time great experience can't wait to play it again

This is a little Jewel of a golf course tucked away in Southern Washington state less than a mile from the Columbia River east of Vancouver Washington about 40 miles. Great layout very playable for golfers of all levels. Bent grass greens and fairways. Friendly staff. Well manucured and fast greens. Good rates.

Nice course in the Gorge! Beautiful landscapes, but a little short and narrow. With lots of uphills. So get a cart or get a calf workout. Greens are faster then you'd expect. And the ball runs towards the river even when the slope doesn't. Worth the drive out there.

Love this course!!! But check the weather!! Ehile it has the most beautiful views comparable to any course I've played including Hawaii! It is known for bitter cold and wind like heck!!!! Particularly the 16th hole will challenge even the best of golfers on a bad day, it a par three that measures a little over 120 from the whites.... on a good day I aim right and hit a nine iron (more than my usual club at that distance) on a windy day I take a five iron or better and aim for the hills... (go there and you will get the reference!) Its a hoot between that and the most undulating greens I've played in some time... this course is a blast!!!!

Best fries in Skamania county, menu is a little small but food is delicious and always presented well. Prices are fair, especially in comparison to restaurants in the area. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and my dad who golfs says its his favorite course.

This is a fantastic course. I have played golf over 60 years. The greens are huge and fast. Never flat and you really have to be aware of the placement of your shots to the green. I would recommend a cart unless you want to go for a hike-very up and down. Can be windy in the afternoon . The course is in excellent shape and no problem with slow play . My group was made of single digit players and all of them thought the course was a hidden gem. We will play Elk ridge at least once a month.

This is a hidden gem! The course was in excellent shape with undulating greens. Beautiful scenery for when your golf game goes awry. Definitely worth the drive from Portland or Hood River. Shout out to Wayne. He was awesome to work with. Very accommodating to our group on short notice.

This is a beautiful golf course! Pretty wide open and forgiving fairways. The greens are a bit tough, plenty of hills in them. It's a bit expensive though, so that's why I only gave them 4 stars... However the view, man the view is worth 6 stars! So pretty, love the view of the Gorge.

Agree with others about the staff. Both check-in and restuarant were struggling, hopefully they will get it right in time. We are not going to toss this course under the bus just yet, we came here to play golf, not sit in the club house, and the course is awesome! 9 of us drove down from Kalama, and we had an absolutely great time. The course plays a little short so we played the blue tees. Big rolling greens, lots of deep sandy bunkers, well manicured. Not a spot on the course without beautiful gorge views. We found it much more enjoyable than a certain ball eating nightmare in the trees just up the road! Wish it was closer, but we will be back. UPDATE : Played yesterday here 6/17/18 , we have been back a few times since I posted my original review, not much has changed. The club house house, well if you have the time, the food is pretty good. We stopped to get a hot dog between 9's, and it took 20 minutes. It would be a good idea to call them ahead from the 7th tee box if you want to grab anything at the turn. However the course, as usual, was beautiful and great fun.

Elk Ridge is surrounded by beautiful, tree covered mountains in the Columbia River Gorge. It is a well maintained course.

Course is in great shape and fun but the staff at the course are not capable of doing their jobs. Hands down the worst service I have had while at the links. Will not go back. Absolutely amazed at the quality and standard they hold themselves too.

You can play this course from very short to long enough for all but tour length.. greens are immaculate, and huge with trouble above the hole and some breaking putts that challenge anyone..A bit spendy, but worth it.. rent a cart or be in great shape, cuz it's uphill alot

The course itself is fantastic, great lies in the Fairways and smooth challenging greens. The service and staff is awful, so don't be surprised by this, get through it, and enjoy your time on the course.

From the moment we arrived, everyone sincerely treated us as guests. There are a lot of courses out there that could really learn this lesson! Also, we had the best meal we've had in a long time at the restaurant on Saturday Prime Rib Night. Also a great wine selection. We're going back soon!

I played here almost 20 years ago, but LOTS has changed since then. It's an awesome course, great condition and a nice layout. It's challenging, but not too so. Awesome views of the Gorge from every hole. Nice clubhouse and nice people. If you haven't been there for a decade of so, check it out and if you haven't been there ever, it's worth a drive.

My favorite golf course. It is very forgiving and as a beginner, the course makes me look good. The drinks and food are good but what sets this place apart from other courses......the view! It is epic. Take a day and get some golf in.
