The staff was terrific. The course was in very good shape for early season. First and foremost, I had a lot of fun. The course has quirky elements, but so be it. It comes with working on a plot of land with magnificent views set among vineyards. Relax and enjoy. And it’s quirky in only a couple of places. Most of the layout is good to great. The recent changes to #4 were a huge improvement, making it perhaps the most picturesque hole on the course. High handicappers may have some trouble in places. Just drop another ball and take in the scenery. Definitely worth the trip from anywhere in the state. Have a beer at the beautiful clubhouse. Stay a night in Chelan. Play again before heading home.

Played Sunday morning and had a blast. Some really challenging holes and incredible views. The tee boxes were not in great shape, but I had no complaints on the course conditions. I’ve played this course 10+ times and have never seen a maintenance worker or a cart girl. The staff has always been friendly. I enjoy this course for the challenge it presents and the views it gives you. Breaking 90 here is a fun day.

Up down up down, side hill lies, tough track. Not too terribly long, just a ton of elevated greens. I would give it 5 stars but the cafe was closed at 4:15 on super hot day. Ridiculous!!!!!!

My family and I always play this course a few times in the summer when we go to Chelan. It's an amazing course with it's own challenges. Definitely not a beginners course if you're trying to keep a good/decent handicap. The staff is always amazing and the food is always so delicious. Expect challenges due to elevation changes on all holes as well as wind. Over all, even for the green fees pricing, it's a top notch course.

Great golf course. 6 different sets of tees for people of all abilities. You can't beat the views and it's almost guaranteed you'll see wildlife. From deer to the hawk and possibly the cinnamon colored black bears. My favorite course to play

Great course, but watch for the parking lot shake down. Odd to have eyes peering at what your doing with your bag when getting ready. Pack the cold beverages before getting there. Feels like TSA.

Challenging course, but beautiful and fun. Play straight or you'll burn through balls! Tasty food at the cafe. Definitely get a breakfast sandwich if you're there in the morning. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I have been playing here in October for the last 7 years. Views beyond description, Fun, challenging, tough. Makes you realize that you are not very good but the fun factor is off the charts unless you are a purist (golf Snob) and prefer everything flat and easy.

I have to say that his was one of the best afternoons of golf I have had. The course was amazing and the views were second to none. The pro was very helpful and personable taking the time to answer all our questions about the course. The elevation changes keep you on your toes, making every hole different. It is not everyday that you get to tee off of a tee box that is 170ft above the green. It really was a true purists experience.

One of the most underrated public golf courses in the state. The jaw dropping views are up there with the best, and I enjoy the quirkiness of many of the holes. Holes 1-7 are some of my favorite in the state. This is not a typical golf course which for many will be refreshing. Bring lots of balls, but if you don't mind walking through the sage to find a ball you will likely come home with far more balls than you lose. :)

Love this mountain golf course. Played a wonderful round with incredible views of the surrounding area, Lake Chelan and the mountains that surround it. Awesome! In addition the cafe is wonderful, super nice people and had one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Wow. I'm going to move to this area so I can play here a lot! Carts and mountain goats only.:-)

If you're looking for a course in the Chelan area that's got amazing views, or a course with some wildly quirky holes, go to Bear Mountain Ranch. Many of the holes have spectacular, sweeping views of lake Chelan and the surrounding hills. There are also many elevated tee boxes that descend onto fairways/greens far below. The staff is really nice, and amenities are very good. What you won't necessarily get is a well-designed actual golf course. Hole after hole you are faced with blind shots (In particular, hole #1, which I and others in my group felt was horribly designed). Since the elevation change is so dramatic throughout the course, you'll face many uphill battles, with greens that are not at all friendly to most amateur golfers. Overall, the course has a very "homemade" feel to it, rather than something that was made by an actual professional golf architect. I'd say that it's "interesting" what they did with the land available for his course. I had a pretty fun experience here, but for getting in a good round of golf, I'd probably head somewhere else next time

Beautifully maintained. Spectacular views on most holes. A great experience, but not a great course design. There a some great holes, but some really poorly planned holes as well. Greens were fast and true. The views are much better than Desert Canyon, but Desert Canyon is a much better track.

This is a must-play course if you're in the Chelan area. The course is in good shape and is very challenging, but fair. It winds through the mountains, gives chances to bomb drives off the mouhmoun sides down hundreds of feet. Several memorable holes. The 1st hole apparently gets a bad wrap, but from then on the course is great. Don't come here expecting your best round though or a bunch of birdies. I played from the tips and there's really not a single scoring hole, but that doesn't mean it's not fun.

My favorite course in the World! I've golfed all over and hands down this course has signature views on every hole, thick lush fairways, highly maintained and a very friendly staff! Definitely worth the drive.

Rise Above

My favorite golf course! Incredible views of Chelan on half of it and the other half you feel like you are golfing amongst the vineyards in Tuscany! Not a great course if you are used to links-style as this course is quite unpredictable and has some blind shots. But gorgeous!
