This course is the tops, in perfect condition and a must play as often as you can. The bent grass fairways demand crisp shots and the greens are very undulated and quick. We had time for breakfast and what a pleasant surprise. It was just the tops and they served the best grits I've ever ate (and I'm from the south). The staff is very professional and made us feel welcome. Our day could not have been better and we can't wait until we return to this area and play it again. Don't be fooled or temper your attention; each shot will require your complete attention. I played a well struck drive on #18 and what I thought was a super second shot into a narrow area in front of the green.I was wrong, 60 yards short and in the rough; no shot' bogey!

This place may have cracked my top three to play in Virginia, and that is saying a lot. Just a fantastic course. I said to my friends when playing with them: there's not a bad hole on the golf course. Every hole has its own feel to it and each one adds to the layout. Lots of holes start with a risk/reward tee shot. I think this would be a great course to host a scramble as well. Green complexes are well thought out with areas you want to be and areas you really want to avoid. That's not always apparent from the approach shot. Layups on par 5s also need a lot of thought. But all of this adds to the replay factor here. Finishes on a beautiful par 5 with water all the way up the left side. Wish I had played it better but hopefully will have another chance at some point soon. Practice areas are a little spread apart but cover everything you need. Big driving range that they only utilize a small part of (which wasn't great). Two putting greens. One is a short game area green as well but it rolls just as nicely as the greens on the course. The only small downside would be it's not the most walkable course. A couple of holes have long stretches between them and it's hilly too. Service was impressive and the event here was very well run. Just be sure to stop by the Barbecue Exchange if you're coming from northern Virginia!

We went to Spring Creek on a bus trip from The Pines G.C. at Ft. Eustis, in Newport News Virginia. This was my second trip with the Ft. Eustis bunch. The course is one of the best I've ever been on, and I have played all over the world, from Ireland to Hawaii to South Korea. The staff treated us as if we were long lost family members, they were so nice to us. The food and drink at the club was top shelf. I have never been treated so well at a golf club as I was at this one. Truly a wonderful experience. The course was immaculate I can't remember another course so well maintained. It is difficult to be sure, but so much fun! What a wonderful challenge. I will definitely return soon. My friends and I plan to take a day trip out there soon. I would like to thank everyone who works there for a wonderful time. The folks who care for the course are obviously the beast at what they do.

Played the front 9 after there was a ton of rain the night before. Best tee boxes, greens, and fairways you will find. You couldn't find something to complain about if you tried. This place is on another level.

I was here for a 5k race and K9 demonstration. The golf course generously donated their facilities use. What a beautiful golf course and community. The clubhouse was open to us to use the restroom and it was exceptional clean. The local golfers were very friendly. I will definitely return to this race and highly recommend this golf course to golfers, it was beautiful!

Even in the winter this courses in top condition. Fair prices. The bunkers could use some work though, but you shouldn't name for them anyway!

I don't like the course. His three balls in the fairway that rolled a couple yards in the rough. Couldn't find a one. Way too penal. Very crowded and slow.

Terrible experience because of the residents who resent anyone who doesn't look and act like them. My partner and I were made to feel VERY UNWELCOME by the snide comments and steers. I recommend you find a course where our kind are made to feel welcome.

Very nice course, it was in good condition. A lot of people talk about the members not being friendly however we didn't experience it. Everyone was friendly and we were lucky enough to be pared with a member who was very nice and walked us though each hole. The club house was very nice and they had live music Friday night. A little hard to play the first time around so I would suggest not playing from the back two sets of tees. Would play again.

Only problem was slow play of group in front of our group we were asked to speed up but they held us up anyway. They should have been following them and made them speed up instead of asking us to at turn.Fyi they punched fairways.

Excellent course and overall experience. The staff was great and treated me like a member eventhough I was just a mid week mid morning public tee time. Nice practice facility to warm up which is included with the rate, beautiful clubhouse, and well organized staff. Pace wasnt an issue eventhough the course was very busy. Just over 4 hours, but it was CPO due to heavy rainstorm the night before. The course conditions are top notch. What you see in the photos is what you get - lush tee boxes, striped fairways and pure greens. The course design is phenomenal. No two holes play the same and with the variety of tee boxes it is a fair test for all skill levels. Each hole presented the same challenge regardless of the tee you are playing which is an indicator of great design. The architect layed out a beautiful track, but it would be a tough walk. The cart provides GPS and was in like new condition which is always a nice touch at a higher end course. Its easy to see why the course has been ranked top 3 public in the state and top 100 nationally. I will certainly be back while they still allow for limited public tee times. If I lived closer, I'd consider making this my home course.

Other than the $100 taxi ride from Richmond We had a fantastic experience playing here! The course is awesome with lots of challenges and beautiful scenery. I would recommend this course to anyone who loves the game1 I also enjoyed the rental Muzuno clubs so well I bought a set for myself! I've played golf all over this country including Hawaii and this rated in my top 15

We played this course on 7/20/2017. To say it is nice is an understatement. Friendly staff and gorgeous golf course. Challenging, but we expected that. A must play for anyone that enjoys golf.
