South Riding and Pleasant Valley Golf Courses are both excellent venues for outings or individual play. Clare Mathews is very helpful arranging events. Our organization has been going there several times a year for many years and have had no disappointments.

75% of the tee boxes were horrible no grass, most if the fairways were in horrible shape, the greens were also bad, bare spots over growth around the collars and way too many ball marks.

I have been playing golf here every week for two years now. But one of the staff members is so rude that I should not play golf here again! He is tall, bulky, and has dark hair. I have never been greeted or even spoken to when I try to check in with him. Last Tuesday, for example, he was alone at the desk and I was the only guest, but he just stared at me. So I said, “Hi, I’d like to play 9-hole today.”He still looks upset with an attitude of 'So what'. Then I said “I have tee time 9:30am. Then he took my rain check and still gave no sort of greeting! That day, the course was not busy, there were no other guests. It makes me feel bad when I just want to golf to have fun.

I LOVED THIS COURSE! Great course! My second favorite course ever! It’s very fun. Nobody was there and was perfect. Me and my dad had a blast. But there is also a problem. The man that worked there was very weird. He didn’t seem happy at all. Yes it was early but still be nice. Also the price is WAY too high. I would play here everyday if it wasn’t so much. Keep up the great work but lower the prices

3.5 stars. The huge amount of precipitation in the DC metro area in the last 12 months has taken a toll on many many area golf courses. South Riding course conditions were a bit better than I expected today. They do their best they can. Course is average difficulty and is a good course for beginners. Some water holes. Great course for walkers- minimum elevation.

They just finished outing sand in the bunkers, they play great now. Greens roll fast and true. Fairways have a few bare spots but doesn't affect play and after the drastic weather conditions this spring and summer, every course has spots from mowers sliding. Very enjoyable round and great staff.

This place is nothing out of the ordinary. Quiet area with beautiful scenery. The golf course is quite big and the guys working there are really nice. I always come to this place whenever I want to unwind after a busy week at work.

I can't say enough about South Riding and their staff. They go above and beyond on a regular basis. We have held our my annual golf event ( 80 people) for the last 5 yrs. at South Riding because of their staff. We don't even think twice about another place. It is so easy almost like auto pilot.

Disappointing. Have played many times over the years. This past Saturday the 5th was the latest. thought course was overly weedy & fairways weren’t in kept condition. this could be on players (repair) or upkeep, but def a combination of both. some or many greens were in rough shape. Traps - thought they’d be redone by now? hope the location doesn’t become housing in the coming years.

South Riding is a premier golf course in an upscale community West of Dulles Airport. The facilities and staff are always courteous and the rates are great with room for 200 plus people to support any event.

After a great spring, the course has recovered nicely. Fairways, tees, bunkers and greens all in great shape. Best I've ever seen South Riding. Some greens have more pitch marks than others, but most of them were immaculate

Bunkers have been bad for 2 years. Lots of rocks in them huge rocks and they do not drain at all. The fairways are in good shape usually especially at this time of year. The greens are usually kept on the slow side very rarely do the speed up to anything over 8 on a sttemp meter. but the greens are in very good shape nice and smooth but slow.

great layout - fun, challenging, nice views - but upkeep on the course is terrible, not sure what their goal is but the greens in particular get in really bad condition with burnout and such pretty early in the year - it has potential but they do a terrible job of maintenance

I've been playing South Riding since it first opened and I always enjoy going back. The course is challenging but fair with and well maintained. It is a courses that I and my golf friends frequent several times a season. I highly recommend it.

This is a nice, elegant, classy place. If you are a golf fanatic then this is basically your heaven. It's got nice green, lush grass all around, clubs and balls to make the experience great, and the nice people there who know how to swing! It's got you covered, from beginners to professionals, all can swing here!

We went here to watch the fireworks on the 4th. It is an amazing place for picnics. Kids just loved the white sand pits!! We even spotted 2 deer calfs grazing by. Wish to go over and over...

The course was great today. I haven't played it in years, but the greens rolled nice (very important to me). They did recently redo some of the bunkers, so the ones they put sod over still were a little rough, but they should be good by the summer of 2017. Some of the fringes were burnt out, but overall the course was in great shape! Only real complaint was that it was super wet, but it dumped a bunch of rain last night, so there is nothing they can do about that!

For some inexplicable reason, the course will not let you walk with a push or pull cart. They said I could walk the course but only if I carried my bag! When I asked at the Pro Shop what was the rationale behind this, they simply said "Because that's the rule" but could not explain the logic it was based on. Needless to say, I did not play the course and never will!!!

Every single golf course I've played are normally accommodating to their patrons EXCEPT for this one. We booked 3 spots and had one join us the day of unanticipated. They told me, "sorry, we just don't have good news for you". Then the starter says, we'll be fine, and we notice they take another walk-on while we're standing there....his response..."we took the walk-on to accommodate you!" lol you kidding me?!I used to play here A LOT, but ever since new management took over, they could care less about their guests. I'll never be back and will steer people away.

Played in a tournament there yesterday course in good shape but absolutely no maintenance in bunkers for at least a couple of days. Come on alot of players. Sad

I went to the bathroom and when I found that it was dirty I tried informing one of the staffers and all I got was rude stares. I can’t believe in this day and age guys still offer bad customer service. I had to go up and down the place looking for a cleaner bathroom. These guys are just pathetic
