Plush, quiet, uncrowded, challenging. Bunkers need work. Good place to play if you want to beat the crowds on other courses.

Other than the greens being in near perfect shape the rest of the course can use a major facelift. Tee boxes were weeds and dirt on most holes and the fairways could use some water. Very odd layout. Staff was friendly.

Played Essex CC May 17 and found the course in great shape (in contrast to my scoring). Always a fun place with it's variety of challenges. I think # 17 may be the easiest par but only if you can shoot up the gap.

The course was supposed to be open at 7. Our tee time was for 7. Still no one unlocking the gate at 7:15. Just terrible customer service.

What a difference a year makes, I played here a few times last year and it was in excellent condition. This year is a completely different story, at the beginning of the summer I gave the course the benefit of the doubt with all the rain. It is now the middle of July and the course is not nearly what it was last year. Hope they can turn it around for next year!
