Hilly country club. Feels like you are playing on a mountain.

The Safari Club of Golf made it's inaugural trip to Brattleboro C C last Wednesday and we're extremely pleased that we did. The course is in excellent shape and among the very best we have played this season. The buffet they serves our members was out of this world. Brattleboro C C is an easy drive to get to and worth every extra moment it takes to get there. Many of our Safari Club members plan on going back there this fall.

The man in the Pro Shop is less than personable. My scorecard didn't have a map of the course. It wasn't always clear where the next tee was. A couple of teens had snuck onto the course ahead of me, with 3 clubs between them. It really slowed my play and I was barely able to finish before dark. The roar of traffic from Interstate 91 makes for a less than peaceful round. Not sure why this is considered a premier course by some.

Avoid this course as the greens have been killed by the winter and any efforts taken by the club have not worked. Like putting through a minefield. Maybe 10% of the green is playable and the rest is a combination of dirt, sand, and patches of grass and this is true for 17/18 greens. The rest of the course is fine but the pro shop still has the attitude that you're about to play a top-notch track (and still charge full freight) when, in fact, you should not play here until the greens come back, which, from the looks of it, may be next year. Saw a GolfNow special for $14 for this course and even that may be too high since what fun is it to hit 2 good shots to a green that is unplayable? Forget birdies, forget 2 putt pars as who knows which way the bumps, patches, and sand are going to take the ball. Not golf.

Loved this mountain course. The green were quick, the layout was very nice. You felt like you had the course to yourself. The food after was great too. You won’t be disappointed!!

I played at the Brattleboro Country Club this past Wednesday with the Safari club and it was in great condition including the fairways, greens and bunkers. The people are very friendly and helpful as well and the service is fantastic as well as the food. I will be back there soon.

Played here for the first time with Safari Club on 7/11. What a great experience! Course was in excellent condition from tees to fairways to greens. Course layout is very interesting -- no two holes are alike. There are mostly tree-lined fairways and several elevation changes, but all-in-all, a very fair course, as fairways are decent widths. Staff was extremely accommodating from the time we arrived and throughout the day. The buffet that they served us was excellent! Whenever any of the food items got low, the staff was right there with refills. Highly recommend this course, and looking forward to returning there in the fall during foliage season.

Tight fairways, very hilly, not a flat spot on the course. More weeds, clover and quack grass then you can imagine. Some greens have terrible turf, like putting knuckle balls. Lotsa ball marks and the greens don't look like they've been rolled in months. Not a place for average or worse players. I'm a decent player and it absolutely frustrated me. Will never play here again.

It is the jewel of Brattleboro. Such a beautiful course. The staff, literally everyone, is so great. Challenging layout best fairways around. Greens are a little tricky so beware but super maintained. And now there is Bella Norte. Probably the best restaurant in Brattleboro.

As a member of the Safari Club, western Mass's premier travel golf club, we had the good fortune of playing this course on July 11th. Never having played the course before, I was truly impressed with the care for the course (many workers out on the course at 8 am), the layout and the true Green Mountain feel with lots of elevations changes. Add in a number of blind shots and you have a truly enjoyable round of golf. Eric, the head pro, was a true professional in the dealings with our group. I will be heading back this fall to see the place with the beautiful fall foliage.
