Expensive and difficult with the mountain terrain, but provides excellent golf and food services with the best view of South Valley. During Summer, the higher location and canyon breezes help keep you cooler when the lack of tree shade is a little overwhelming

This is my favorite course in the Valley. It's not played as much because of its location, as well as its layout. It's a tough course and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. You miss the rough and your ball is gonzo. Why 5 stars? Great (and fun) design. Lots of memorable holes. Beautiful (truly) views. Well manicured year around (usually) because it doesn't get that much play. And a great clubhouse. Best course in the Valley.

Course is very challenging. Well kept. Great price and value. The only reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is the guy working there. My guess is he's never had a lesson in customer service. I came in and he's sitting watching golf, that's fine, but then he was about as accommodating as fancy drink umbrella during a hurricane. I've been there and an older guy is really nice. So I'll change my review to 4 stars. But seriously, we drop ~$100 to play and the young guy makes it seem like we ruined his day by coming in. You can either try being hard and too-cool, or you can work in customer service. Not both.

Hard course, always on a hill. After you play south mountain every other course seems easy. This course dries out pretty fast. After it rained for a week the course was amazing. Every time I go in to pay with a group of four it takes us 10 mins to pay, their machines take forever.

Very fun golf course. Reminded me of the Cedar Hills Golf Course in a lot of ways. For me, that's a good thing. The only criticism is that the clubhouse could've used a small step up. The staff was helpful when asked questions, but they didn't seem to go out of their way to be helpful. I probably wouldn't describe their demeanor as "friendly" in the most part. Not rude or unpleasant by any means, just not the most inviting.

This is one of the best tests in the region. True, we would all like to see fairways and greens in better shape, but this is still a beautiful course, maybe one of the best courses in the state. A few reviews suggest poor design. I completely disagree. This is a true test. A scratch golfer with a little local knowledge can tame this course. All others bring extra balls!

The course has hands down the best practice facility on the wasatch front. The day we played July 14, 2019 the course was in great shape even with a string of 100 degree days the week before. Very challenging track and you’ll have a lot more fun with tee shots in play. I would suggest playing a tee forward your first time here. The course is on the shorter side but makes up for it in the challenging layout. Hit em straight and have fun.

This is the prettiest course in the valley with spectacular views. The course is very challenging so if you're not a pretty good golfer make sure you come prepared with a lot of balls. Lol. Came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy so we got right on. Course is well maintained and prices reasonable.

Challenging for any player level. Tight fairways and majestic views of the greater salt lake valley. If you're a weekend hacker you will want to bring extra balls. This is not a forgiving course but it's a blast when you hit em straight!

I seem to play this beautiful course a fair bit. It always has a cross wind that seems to always flow down into the valley. If you have a strong slice, be prepared to lose balls. It’s worth the experience and the lost balls.

Great Golf Course, polite\ professional staff and great place to hold your tournament you'd like to have. Tee boxes, Greens, Fairway's, Rough's are all green and healthy. Been attending here for the past 2 years consistently and have seen little to NO crab grass. Sand traps are well kept and are actual sand traps (not mud or dirt traps). Golf carts are gas powered. Would recommend to NOT walk this course ever since, you're literally playing on a mountain with terrain that goes up and down. Photo's I have left here are both in the early morning and later in the afternoon hence the difference of color on each image. Full course of 18 holes that are well placed in my opinion. Right amount of Par 3's, 5's. Not too much or little of each. Something to remember is you're playing on a mountain where there is little forgiveness if your ball begins to head towards the out of bounds region. Wonderful Course.

Not a very fun layout. I called for a tee time, the guy scheduled me no problem. The only reason I called here is because two other courses told me they were aerating their greens. I show up here and they had just aerated their greens. I won't be going back anytime soon.

I golf here every couple weeks. The course offers outstanding views of the Salt Lake Valley and the layout will challenge most players. The pro shop is well stocked with golf accessories, clothing and equipment. The on-site restaurant is better than average. As with most of the public courses in Salt Lake and the surrounding areas, it can be slow at times because they put players out on both sides a bit too long. It’s not uncommon to have a quicker paced front nine and a school zone like back nine. You’ll find that the course is generally in decent shape and that the fairways and greens tend to be a bit faster than average.

Had the chance to play this course last Friday. It is absolutely beautiful. The course will ask you to use nearly every club in your bag. I played it from the blacks and it was a great challenge. The views though. My god, some of the prettiest in the country.

I played this course a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved it. I almost didn't play because there are a few negative reviews but after playing it I just don't see what the complaints are all about. Was every blade of grass groomed like Augusta National? No, but this is a public, desert, mountain course that's reasonably priced. It was challenging and I couldn't just swing away but I absolutely loved it. There are some blind shots that required local knowledge but in those cases I just drove the cart up a little ways, looked at the situation, and adjusted accordingly. Now, next time I'll know. I'll play this for sure next time I'm in Salt Lake. The views are amazing and the course is blast to play if you understand that it's going to test your skill, and it's a public course.

Pros: * Great view of the Salt Lake Valley Cons: $10 + compared to other courses in south SLC * fairways and greens aren't in great shape for the rate compared to old mill for example * I don't expect flat lies on a mtn course but you can plan on lots of up/down/side laying shots even when you stick your shots * management seems unaware that this a a public course, not a country club, attitudes & perspectives don't seem to be congruent
