I have only played here twice this summer (2018) and what a nice surprise to have found this course. I played 18 holes both times and was glad that I took a cart. It's got some great holes that give you a challenge and some that are straight forward easy par 4 holes. Of course no par 3 hole is easy for me and here is no exception. Loved the open fairways and medium sized greens. The staff here is as helpful and friendly as you will find anywhere. Will continue to make this a monthly visit.

Jason Drake

good golf course

Jon Hunter

Average price, but course is not well maintained and is in poor condition. The course is not busy, so you can golf alone, and won't have to play through anyone (biggest advantage).

Chandra Brewer

It is a great course for beginners and is maturing to be a very nice course in the future.

Jason Harris

We had our company golf tournament at the course. The layout is great and the course is in great shape. All of my guys had a great time. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks so much guys for having us out!!!!!!!

A. Lynn

The course is always beautiful and fun. They must have hired some new people, usually the staff is very friendly and helpful but today it was some young kids with extremely smug attitudes. They were very rude. It is to bad.

Donny Cox

Great course and good price. Very straight links style course which is great to test your accuracy.

Roland Howard

Fair price. Nice course. Extremely wet and soggy. If we'll card for, this place will be fantastic on 5 to 10 years.

We have been golfing at Cranefield golf course since 2012 and have watched grow. It isn't quite there yet, but it's getting there. Good luck and golfing.

Mathew Wilson

This is a great course to practice your long game, so if your on a health kick then walk the course, but if your lazy like Brandon C. Then grab a cart. I joy, Game on..

Grounds are in the works a couple more years and it will be good. Decent layout and good staff

Worst course I have been to. Layout is ok but the fairway, green everything is hard as concrete.

Best value course in northern Utah. I've been playing this course for several years and the course is in great shape. The greens are even in better shape then their sister course Remuda. The staff is friendly and always helpful. Plus unlike most other golf courses in the area, Crane edges their golf cart paths. Its the little details like edging that give a golf course a premium feel.

Gerald Begay

Very nice course!

Same as Keith, great layout and wide open!

I have been golfing here for 3 years now. Initially when golfing here I thought it was a below average golf course. Over the past 3 years all it has done is improve. Now it is what I would say an above average, and on par with Remuda (sister course) now. small greens (slower than average), short, cheap and fun. Would recommend to anyone looking for a easy/med difficultly course.

I loved the open layout and beauty of the course! This is a new course, so it had some rough edges, but overall the course was beautiful, well maintained and very open. For a duffer like me, this was a fun course where I could usually find my ball, even when some of my shots went off course. The staff was friendly, helpful, and more than willing to talk. Give this most excellent course a try.

Pros: Pretty nice and an unheard of golf course that doesn't generate a lot of buzz. Lucky for the people that like to go here for practice. Cons: The never ending amount of bird poop from the cranes in the local area. The Basics: I went here with my dad on a Friday around the Thanksgiving holiday. It was really nice, and not crowded. The guy in working in the clubhouse was very nice and even gave me and my dad a free bucket of balls to hit before our round of 18. All and all I think this is a diamond in the rough. Aside of Schneiters Bluff, Riverside, and the other golf courses nearby this one is a great one! Bottom line!.... Its a great course.

Great affordable golf! This course accommodates golfers of all abilities. Playing from the tips makes the course a respectable length and the small greens require your approach shots to be precise. For less experienced golfers, the course offers shorter tee boxes and a open layout. The course is still growing in a little, but the quality of the greens is excellent.

Phil Faulkner

Great course and great friendly staff! This is my home course!

FIRST TIME GOLFERS TO CRANE FIELD, TREATED BADLY. WON'T BE RETURNING!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND CRANE FIELD GOLF COURSE! GRUMPY, FRUMPY FRONT DESK MANAGER! BAD EXPERIENCE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Our first experience with Crane Field began as we pulled into the parking lot. We were excited to be playing a new course. As we unloaded our bags the excitement of our first adventure at Crane Field was overflowing. We entered through the wrong door with our bags (oops), the clerk at the front desk showed her annoyance, and immediately told us "to put your bags outside!" She was grumpy and rude. We told her this was our first time playing Crane Field and proceeded to shop for gloves, hats, tees and balls. After making our selections and spending $70 in the pro shop and another $100 for the round. She sent us out on the BACK 9! The back sucks! The greens are soggy, the fairways are beat up, we had to drop several times due to construction. The parking lot was empty, this was @ 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon, the course was virtually dead, and the clerk (which was actually the manager), sent us out on the back! The worst part of the course, we found out after that the front is in much better condition. Why she wouldn't want to give us a better experience and show off the best part of the course is a mystery to I can understand not wanting to work on a Saturday afternoon, but to treat any customer so rudely, especially customers that had never been there, I don't get it! We will not be going back. I do not recommend playing this course, aside from the horrible, unfriendly, grumpy manager at the desk, the back 9 is a mess. Unfortunately I cannot rate the front 9, thanks grumpy, frumpy woman!!

Tim Carver

The fairways are very patchy - lots of bare spots from the alkaline soil.

Keith J. Wilson

I play this course fairly regularly as my first "Away" course. It's still under construction and they are working on it. They have added BUNKERS GALORE!!! Expanded Cart Paths, and are doing they're best to fix the places where grass isn't growing the best. They have really tried hard to fix the bad spots and with some success. It is STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS, but I love the greens, I love the lay out, I love the 4 or 5 Par Fives, and I love the amount of Par 4's!!! It's a fun course, and if you can deal with the construction it's a great course. Personally I think when it is finished with the construction and the grass is fully grown in, IT WILL BE BETTER Than it's sister course Remuda! That is my thinking. It's a great course and you still get construction rates too! UPDATE: Over the 2014 Season they have DONE MIRACLES since my first review. It is still a work in progress, but it is really grown in nicely and way fewer "bare" spots than there was in spring of 2014! It has become my new favorite course in Northern Utah, although fairly flat, and it has pretty much taken over as my home course as the year progressed! Next Year My UGA will list it as my Home Course! It is well manicured and as the trees continue to grow, this course will begin to flourish! Normally when you get a golf course built among a housing development you have windows and siding brakes in the back of your mind if you slice or hook, not to worry here, it's WIDE OPEN!!!

Cheap and fun. Greens are pretty good . Fairways still need help.

Bryce Johnson

Worst place I have ever golfed in Utah. Worst greens ever not taken care of. Had big dead dirt spots on the Greens made putting useless. Also they practice their hole cuts on every playing Green so if your in the unfortunate spot of having to putt through their practice cuts good luck. Worst experience this year. Not even worth $9 bucks on the Davis pass. Maybe would have to think of going back if it was $5 total with Cart. But it would only be by myself I would never bet money against friends on here

My wife joined the 99 ladies program this month. She has never played golf, but this is a great opportunity for her to learn. This is her review: Wylie and Holly were excellent in starting with a large group of ladies of all skill sets and ages; they were able to interact with us for short individual periods in helping with how to hold the club properly, movement of the arms, wrists and torso in at least starting somewhere. The other ladies in the 99 program were quick to offer encouragement and suggestions where needed - these were all much appreciated. I've made a point of going at least 2 additional times to use the driving range and working on putting. I'm looking forward to my first game!

Jaron Packer

Loved our game at Crane Field today! The course was not too crowded and is nice and open! Average fairway length and nice greens. Great place for amateur/novice golfers. The price can't really be beat! The staff is very friendly and helpful! Great place to golf on a regular basis, and not that far off the freeway in Clinton. I'm going back next week!

Terry Hall

Nice course. Everyone needs to give it a try.

Crane Field is a fun layout. Some of the shortest par 5's I've ever seen. My favorite holes are #6, #9, #12, #14, #16, #17. This course can easily be walked. The course is getting in better shape each time I play it.

Josh Allred

Loved my experience at Crane Field. Thought for the price I was going to get an executive course, but was happily surprised it was a full course and not crowded. I enjoyed the water hazards and the long fairways. I will go again soon.

Tyson Stoddard

Friendly staff. Good course for a casual practice round.

Taylor Hendricks

It's still a work in progress, the layout is good as others say but parts of the course still need some tlc. The worst part is the mosquitos.. they are big and there are thousands of them. I came away with 15 bites after 9 holes.

james iddings

It's great to have a home course so close and so cheap. Staff is great also.

Robby Gledhill

Really enjoyed the playing the front 9 today! Nice open fairways. This is a very forgiving course. Greens are well manicured and extremely fast. There seemed to be a bunch of grounds work that caused for some terrible lays and mandatory ball drops, but other than that it's a great course!
