Beautiful setting and a challenging course. The view from the putting green makes it very easy to spend more time practicing your short game but makes it hard to focus on the pins.
I was very disappointed. When we arrived there, you were not able to g order any kind of food!!! There were eight flags missing on eight different greens, greens and we played 18 holes. Make sure you bring your own food and beverages if you're going to golf there.
The course was in great shape. They have some great holes on this course and it was a ton of fun. I played in a tournament here and the accommodations were top notch and the club house was amazing. I would totally recommend playing here if you have an opportunity to.
Beautiful course! Greens are just right and the fairways are looking good. Just watch for snakes this time of year!
Today was honestly the poorest experience I’ve had at any golf course during any round of golf. It started when we lost our tee shot off the second tee box. While we were waiting to play our second shot, we took a moment to locate them. The Marshall proclaimed that we were not permitted to search for our lost ball.. (What?! The balls were in bounds, but lost in the tall weeds. Made no sense.) From that point the Marshall of the course loomed with his gas motor running during 5 of the next 8 holes! He literally was harassing our group with his presence. I’ve played Cedar Hills countless times, but maybe this year marks the start of a terrible trend with poor course management?! I hope Wade and the city can get this situation sorted out.
UPDATE: I've played this course a lot. I truly have. I've never seen the course in this condition. It's fantastic. I spoke with Wade Doyle about it and was informed they have new equipment and a lot of water to use. It's in great shape. Awesome greens. Great tee boxes. Sweet fairways. I'm happy to say it's in awesome condition right now.
Best front nine in Utah county.
Course is almost always in good shape and greens are well taken care of. Views are truly amazing for the price and one of my favorite in the valley. Only real complaint is that slow play is normal so 4.5 hour rounds are the average here. If they could get some Marshalls to enforce pace a little I think this would be definitely be a more popular place. First tee is deceivingly short only about 250-260 before you're in trouble from blues.
My wife and I had our wedding here a month ago. It was fantastic! The staff was wonderful and the venue is beautiful. Becky & Brooke are wonderful to work with!
Wedding reception was nice and the facility worked out fine.
Target golf course. Fairways were very dry in spots. Greens were in great shape. Fair track at a fair price.
This is one of the nicest courses in Utah Valley. It has great views and some memorable holes.
Nice venue
The course is well taken care of. Enjoyable course.
Absolute favorite golf course I have ever been to. I love how beautiful it is there. Everyone on the staff treats me like family. Golf director Wade Doyle is so nice to everyone who comes in through his pro shop doors. Would suggest this to everyone. During golf season, I spend 40 minutes driving there each day and it is totally worth it. Can't say enough good things about this course.
Golf course is in great shape!
Challenging course with a variety of shots. Excellent value. Great people/service
Been golfing here for years, and it really can't be beat. For one of the most reasonably-priced courses in the area, they exceed expectations with friendly staff, great maintenance, and a gorgeous view from the club house. Our only complaint is that the greens have been damaged or in poor condition quite often, but again, a course at this price won't be perfect. If you like fun golf with stunning views and fun variety, this is your course.
Awesome course! The views are phenomenal. The front 9 can fool you into thinking it's an open course. The back 9 is cut into the mountainside and is tight and narrow. Greens were punched so not the best conditions for putting.
I am really impressed with everything about this course but this review is for one of the workers, I wish I had asked him for his name, but he went out of his way to help us out. So my buddies and I got there 10 minutes before they were supposed to open at 6:00 am so that we could tee off right when the Pro Shop person got there. It was 6:05 and the Pro Shop person wasn't there. One of the guys taking out golf carts saw that it was passed 6 and the Pro Shop guy wasn't there so he got on his phone, called him and told him that he was going to let us on and that we would square up with the Pro Shop after. Great attitude.
They have improved this golf course over the years. The addition with the club house is nice and feel that the course is better maintained than in years past. I’ve enjoyed the driving range as well. My sister had her wedding reception in the club house and we really enjoyed the location.
Beautiful wedding venue.
Good golfing.
The Grill at Cedar Hills at the golf course is awesome. The food is really good and prices are not bad at all. The side salad that came with it was awesome too. I wish I would have taken a picture of my food to post before I ate it but it was just too good.
I had a work get together for my job at Jaydawgs which was so very fun. I am very happy about my job and our Thanksgiving feast!
One of My favorite places to golf. Reasonable rates...fantastic views....super fun tee on first hole. And the course is in great shape!!!
If you're planning on going without renting a cart, be prepared for a LONG hike!
Great....nice place
Enjoyed the Bible Church that meets there on Sundays at 10:30. New Hope Bible Church is a friendly, welcoming church body.
We took this photo this morning on the 10th fairway, thought you would agree it's a pretty great view.
Nice city course to play. Generally in good shape. The natural up-and-down of the land creates for some interesting holes. Good course that will keep you on your toes.
Golfed this course last night with a group of friends. We had 7 golfers which I know is more than we should have, however we were the last ones on the course with nobody behind us. Started out really fun until the marshall decided to come down and tell us we were ruining the game and slowing it down. Does it really matter if the course was basically empty...? We weren't hurting anyone or the game of golf. He basically followed us 5 out of 8 holes and watched us from afar most the the game. At a couple points he got after for looking for our balls that we lost in the rough. Seriously! Our last hole (the only people left on the course) he came back down to get on our case again about being together as a group. At this point only 5 of us were even golfing and our wives were sitting in the carts watching. He was upset we had so many carts and were back together and told us we were ruining the game. Serious the only people on the course having a good time and we are ruining the game of golf? No sir you are ruining the game of golf. I have golfed this course for years and had a lot of fun. I hope this is not the way this course will be run moving forward. This marshall needs some training on how to treat your customers. Fox Hollow will be getting my business the rest of the season.
Very scenic and very fun to play. Kind of strange layout built into the mountain sides, but I liked the challenge. The greens were a bit odd a while back, very thick. I'm sure they've grown a little nicer by now. A good place to play.
I have been here for business, weddings and it has always been a classy experience.
This course, like many other Utah courses has an excellent view of the mountain side and has bend kept in pretty good shape. The greens, not so much anymore as the back nine has been partially parched due to heat, and it is a bit pricey in comparison to other courses. The driving range is best in the afternoon as the range is facing east. If you plan to not rent a cart, GO TO ANOTHER COURSE. This course is not walkable at all, especially the back nine. I am sorry to say I have tried walking it and even though the length is pretty standard for executive courses the course has way to much up and down to walk. Get a cart unless you plan to die. I go to this course very often and love it but be warned.
Gorgeous venue for weddings and parties! Watch out though, when they say you need to be out by a certain time, they mean tables and everything! We found them to be a tad pushy. BUT, the views are spectacular.
Great course, good prices and beautiful views when the sun sets
Very nice public course!
If you want a challenging course. Cedar hills course is the spot. Beautiful surroundings, competitive challenges, and great coustomer service and experienced help if you need a few pointers, or tips for the par 5 on the 8th hole.
This was a nice, well manicured course
I love playing this course. The first hole has what seems like a 150' drop to the fairway. It's the most memorable 1st tee I've ever played. I also love the back 9 where 3 of the holes are up against a mountain side. I've played here over 20 times and I've always been impressed. The rates are also better than many/most of the local courses so that's another benefit. Seems like the fairways and greens are always in great shape. The views over the valley from the first hole and back 9 CANNOT be beat. I love bringing friends and family to play here.
The first hole is really cool. Looks like about 150 foot drop from the tee to the green.
Love this place
Really nice. It's not fenced in. Has a few ponds and a really good view of the sunset.
Great course. Beautiful views and interesting elevation changes on the holes on the back 9. Would be nice to have 150 yard markers in the fairways. Other then that, course in great condition and would recommend it.
Super fun course and layout. Some of the best views of Utah valley, but occasionally the grass can get burned out in the summer. Greens roll true and are generally well taken care of. Slow play is an issue on weekends. They definitely have some of be best water coolers and sand holders anywhere in Utah.
What I like about Cedar Hills is their support of the local community and local businesses. They have a great meeting area for parties.
Well kept and beautiful views. I would have given five stars if there hadn't been 5 players in there group ahead of us.
Great course and event hall
If I could rate this 0 stars I would... scheduled my wedding here months in advance.. was informed we DID NOT have to pay anything up front and just had to have it paid in full a month or so before the wedding, and that if anyone called they would give us a 24 hour notice before giving our spot away. Becky did not give me 24 hours and gave my spot away. When first confronted she admit to her mistake but was not willing to honor their so said “policy” and insisted on me changing my wedding day instead of correcting their mistake. Becky was very rude and condescending and has absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. Was completely screwed by these people and had to pay a couple more thousand dollars to even find a venue such short notice. If you want a secure venue DO NOT GO HERE
Cool course....hit em straight
Nice facilities and we'll maintained. It has a beautiful view of the valley.
I love playing this course. Its a good course for going low.
Really enjoyed the course. There's only one hole on the entire course where there are houses close to play(but only a par 3 on top of that). Some of the holes are a little long from the tee to the fairway but I will be a return customer
Good service, the greens are rolling well!
employees. Little too hard for the hacker I am. Great layout for good golfers.
Beautiful scenery! Nice and quiet, courses were challenging but great. No wait, and they had bathrooms half way through which were very convenient. Will definitely go again.
I love the # 1 tee.
Love this place. Amazingly well maintained
I had a great sandwich. It's a little gem sitting right here in cedar hills.
Fun interesting holes. It's all downhill after the first home then tough last hole if wind 20 miles an hour. Nice staff
This golf Horse need’s some work
Honestly tons of fun, never a boring moment. Challenging at some parts but I love a challenge!
This is one of my favorite golf courses in utah county. Maybe because I play it well, but it is fun and has challaging holes. They have competitive prices and the course is in good condition. One of my favorite things about the course is they have my favorite sandwich shop Ernies in the club house. That seals the deal for me.
Course is in great shape! Thank you!
Great venue for a wedding or any event. Had a ring ceremony and reception for my brother there and it was a great location for the event.
Nice never played there
I have always loved the #1 tee here, but after playing 27 holes the other day the course has quickly become one of my favorites in the Salt Lake area. It has so much character, and the entire back 9 is unique to any other course in the area. They have done a lot to get the course in better shape than I have ever seen it. The greens roll very true, the fairways are in great shape, and the bunkers are soft and easy to hit out of. There is ice cold water in all of the coolers and the club house cafe has a great menu. To top it all off the $39 fee for 18 holes beats almost any course in the state! Great deal for an amazing course.
Great place for a wedding. Also their golf cart guy, Nick, fantastic and fun.
Went over there a couple of times for Wedding Reception. They are great. They allow you to bring your own food. Nice size and beautiful view.
Great course for the price
We have rented the Vista Room a number of times and have attended weddings, parties, meetings, and dinners at this venue. I can’t say enough about the picturesque location with its proximity to the scenic American Fork Canyon and Wasatch Mountains which can be viewed through the large windows on the east side of the building. The windows on the west side have exquisite views of the valley and lake. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The Vista Room has dark, rich, wood floors with a stone fire place. The visual and audio equipment worked seamlessly with our presentations. The size of the food preparation room was more than enough for our needs and has two separate entrances to the Vista Room. If preparing your own food isn’t what you are looking for, they offer a catering service through the restaurant / grill also located in the building.
Fun course. Great price for the views and caliber of golf. Definitely coming back
They tend to stack as many people in as possible. Have never had a round where I wasn't waiting 3-5 minutes to tee of every hole. Very nice course though and reasonably priced.
Hilly. Some difficult fairways. But all in all a very nice place to play.
Fantastic course!! I loved the view and the course was in excellent condition, with greens that rolled true and were well kept! Every water cooler had ice cold water! Play was timely, even on a Saturday morning. The Marshalls were friendly and the scoring conditions were excellent. I will definitely play here again!
Nice 18 hole course, fairly inexpensive.
Good course with some scenic views (like the #1 tee box). Generally well maintained. Wind can get a bit rough on a few holes.
My favorite starting hole in the state. I only wish it was a few holes into the round so I was a little more warmed up for it. My favorite holes are #1 and #6. Probably don't want to walk this course.
Would be better to manage the traffic and golf announcements when you are hosting a wedding
This course is beautiful well cared for.
Not sure why this course gets high ratings. It's standard municipal fare. Gimmicky course,. It's fine, but nothing more than mid-range muni.
Clubhouse is nice. Plenty of parking. Good food.
I've only come here for wedding receptions, and it seems like a nice place to have one. I'm not a super fan of receptions, but if there is something salty to eat (not just sugar, you know?) then I enjoy it. I'm not there to fill up, I just like salty things. Then, with some good friends to chat with, this is the perfect setting for a reception. The gazebo outside is really nice.
It's beautiful here, but don't come on a windy day!
Had a very good round of golf and the process shop was very helpful
Nice course! Still green late in the year.
This place has a breathtaking view of the lake, mountains, Temple, and entire Utah valley. Amazing sunsets.
